So, it's becoming more, and more clear that despite Windows 7 being far more stable than the sloptoast that is Windows 10, it's going to be harder, and harder, to do much of anything at all, and that really SUCKS.
No, I'm not going to ask you for help; a fruitless endeavor that would be, but! I've exhausted everything I can do, so yeah, it's going to come down to the aid of someone else, whomever that is. I'm doing my best, but the only thing motivating me to even care one iota is the project I started, that I'm feeling massive pangs of regret for even remembering the inspiration source material in the first place.
I miss a lot of things, but most of all, the random conversation drops, yes that has had a massive detrimental effect on me. Life gets in the way, sure, but I don't buy that it's all that it is, no; it's because I'm autistic and that leads to off-putting interactions, doesn't it!?!!?- Show previous comments 1 more

This is why it's always important to have a Windows 7 Installation Disk. If you don't already have one, you can buy one online, like on Ebay or some other site. And if you can't afford one or find one online, then I suggest getting a USB Flash Drive & "Sailing the 7 Seas of the Internet" for a downloadable Windows 7 Installation Disk ISO & saving it to the Flash Drive.
I still have my disk that I bought online & the serial number/product key still worked & I installed it on a laptop that had Windows 8 pre-installed (had to jump through some ridiculous hoops though as the Hard Drive Partition wouldn't originally accept Windows 7 & had to take it to a computer shop to have it reformatted, cost around $300).
Also, running Windows 7 isn't that hard. Works pretty good for basic stuff like MS Word 2010, Notepad++, old school emulators (up to PS2 & GC/Wii with the right GFX Card & RAM), GIMP (Image editing), Audacity (Audio editing), RPG Maker MZ (they don't claim it's supported just because MS won't support it, but it works on Win 7 regardless), Basic PC games (as long as the GFX isn't too demanding), etc.
