The event text tells you that you can change outfits and gives you a number of choices, and in each choice ic a conditional branch that checks to see if you have the required item or not. If you do, your graphic is changed and one of the item is removed from your inventory. It's a prety basic event setup, and it works just fine when your script isn't installed.

D: That... Really doesn't work for me. I can't clear out my inventory every time I want to remove one item. [/sigh] I'll have to find another inventory script, I guess. Thanks for responding, Shadow Fox.

Hmm. So I had a bit of a problem with this script. I have an appearance-changing event that requires you to have a certain book in your inventory, and removes the item aferwards. The item doesn't disappear from the inventory though, and I'm not sure why. It IS used up, when I try to activate the event again I can't without getting another one of the book item. Worse still, when I get another of the book item the count DOES go up. I had one, used it, and there was still a stack of 1. I picked up another for a stack of 2, used THAT one, and it still says 2. Any idea why this might be happening?

Hope this isn't considered Necroposting, but I was wondering if there was a way to make it so you add bonus stats when editing a character. I currently have my system set up so you can go to the character's "closet" (there is only one character in my game at the moment) and choose between a number of outfits/appearances. I also have a special shop set up where, if you have a special item called Memoirs of the Sunflower, you can change the character's class. I was hoping I could make it so you get a number of bonus points to dump into stats every time you go to edit your character in this screen. It's late, so I may not be explaining thing very well...

Hey, guess what? I'm not a scripter. I don't know pretty much anything about scripting except what I hear from people here. When I look at that script, it might as well be in Nebari. The requester probably doesn't have a lot of scripting knowledge either, so he's going off the general rule of thumb; Most VX scripts are NOT Ace compatible, and must be converted. Maybe instead of going around the requests being a condescending jerk, (as I've noticed you do) you could actually be helpful and say something like "Hey, I have some coding knowledge and it looks like this script is probably compatible with Ace already. You should plug it in and give it a try, and request a conversion if it doesn't work." Don't just assume that everyone interested in RPGMaker is or should be fluent in any kind of scripting language.

Your demo is only available for download in a website that four different security systems and two different web browsers SCREAM are unsafe and riddled with digital, virusy death. I wouldn't mind, except it tells me that I have to sign up and every time I tried I got a mass amount of popups. If you would please upload your demo somewhere more reliable or a site that doesn't require sign up, that would be wonderful. -
It is for VX, not VX Ace. He's asking for either a new script or a conversion of this script, whichever is easier.

Wait, so was this script going to be edited so you can choose the way stuff comes in? I have some menu screen add-ons and I'd like to be able to have some control on dis stuff. -
Samll world indeed. How do you like it? I've been there quite a few times and lived on the outskirts once, myself, but I like Eugene. Nice and quiet. As for your fix, I will test it the moment my computer gets back up and running. I am currently using a little Macbook thingy until that happens. EDIT: Is Ace_Core the Yanfly Core Script? I think I have it down as something else on mine.

Wait, the Yanfly core engine? I haven't had a chance to do the copy project thing yet m'self.

So I'm not sure if this is the same bug that person above mentioned with the Yanfly Equip script, but for some reason this script makes it so I DO have unique items, but I have x0 of each item. Which is obviously useless to me. I do have quite a few scripts installed currently, but I just figured I'd mention this in case you've already encountered this problem and have a fix for it.

No no no, it's not the dash ITSELF this person wants. He/she wants a separate, special animation to be used when they run instead of the sprite just doing the walking animation faster (which is what the shift button does). And I believe what Edge is referring to is the ability to set the player's speed through events which would also allow you to change the character graphic at the same time as opposed to using the shift button or a script.

Thanks for the compliment friend, glad you enjoyed my work. In any case, yes you can use the style in your game. Just remember to respect the copyright terms. I think what he was trying to ask was whether or not you take requests or will consent to work on someone else's project. Quality spriters are always in high demand, after all. In any case, good work. I recognize quite a few of these sprites, and they made me smile.

Kai Monkey's Character Creation with Races (Version 1.1!)

Do you have plans to add a way to HIDE a class from the list? For example I plan to have several secret, optional characters in my game that have their own unique classes. I don't want the players to be able to select these classes when they make their initial character, but more importantly I don't want them to be able to see the names either. Some of the class names are a bit spoilery to the story. Also, have you thought of trying to code it so you can choose between genders, as well? In case the game designer wants to have a large list of both male and female appearances. :3 Neither are really essential, but they might be good upgrades. -
I'm excited for this, but is it still... happening? Vemon doesn't seem to have been on in weeks. I do hope that overlapping thing gets fixed, but other than that it's looking good. :3
