How I used RPGVX to *ask that one question* to my girlfriend :)
carfie posted a topic in Literature Library
What a day... But let me tell you right away, it worked out perfectly! Where to start... My sweetie and I are together for about 8 years and she is pretty much used to test parts in my projects, checking for spelling errors and stuff. This time it was not any different. I really REALLY wanted her to test this part because I want to know if I managed to get any emotions into this scene, which is pretty hard with 32x32 2 dimensional characters... Twitch, has broke up with Carf and he is trying EVERYTHING he can to win her back... Nothing unusual so far...until the scene had a sudden twist and one of the characters (who is based on her personality) starts talking to her DIRECTLY! Telling her to be a good girl and turn around SLOWLY. And then I just showed her the ring and asked the question... Here the scene AND her response I have slightly edited the scene to prevent any spoilers into the upcoming project LOL because it is ALL about the question . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlrtOhDmiqs&feature=youtu.be- 1 reply

Yanfly Engine Ace battle engine - Change animation position

Double X... You are a freaking SAINT!!! Many thanks! Really, now I can continue working out all silly ideas I have in mind for this project! It's going to be a game that comes with my 3rd music album and the scheduled release is summer 2015 so it's going to take a little while. This part is one of my first real test levels and will be a very important battle. You gave me the tools that I can script what I have in mind exactly as I intended! Check out your PM cause what I send you is the least I could do, hope you like chiptunes . Many, many thanks!!! -

Fixing it right now, Dropbox should be done in a few minutes. Only need to give you one warning, this part of the game takes place in a complete glitched world, just so you know... Game starts at the test area as seen in the movie, just walk up one tile and the battle begins. -

In order to show animation you should put this in the note box: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Enemy Notetags - These notetags go in the enemy notebox in the database. # ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- # <atk ani 1: x> # <atk ani 2: x> # Changes the normal attack animation of the particular enemy to animation x. # Attack animation 1 is the first one that plays. If there's a second animation # then the second one will play after in mirrored form. At the moment they are empty, and still animation 1 is correct but 2 is not. -

Still the same, but now I wonder, without the code in the notebox (at Database > Enemies) the FIRST animation is still in place, while without it, it SHOULD be showed at the portrait as well? It's still acting the same as the demo movie I made before. -

Only got 3 Yanflies for now. Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Battle Engine v1 Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Message System v Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Core Engine v1.0 And the error is solved, not sure what caused it but after copy/pasting the edited part again it worked without any error. At least I'm getting closer to the idea that I have in my head . -

I really appriciate this!! Sadly I get an error. See screenshot. Seems to be fixed, at least, no error anymore in the code itself. Sadly the animation is still visible ON the target character. I already deleted the codes in the notebox (you need to put a code in in order to show the animation). Now I am back at square one with one animation visible at the right location and the second one still directly on the target charrie. Strange... Recorded the animations and the outcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3R9ehep-GY&feature=youtu.be -

That is exactly what I asked for in my first post. -

So it's not possible to *move* the location where the animation is shown? Pitty... I hoped it was just a location on screen allocated for that animation.. -
Locked in battle. Interesting start of the track, good use of orchestral instruments for sure. It feels more like an intro then an actual ongoing battle but that could of course depend on the situation. Obsession: Well the intro really does make me feel uncomfortable! It's really haunting and really sets an atmosphere! Very good use of orchestral instruments again! Got a fresh track to share with you guys. Better prepare for a ruff Boss-Battle!
