  1. Prologue: Thirteen years ago there was a Kage(A Kage is the leader of a land) named Alex (who is Spark's grandfather). Alex went to defend the Land of Grass from three out of eleven beast spirits who were attacking it. Among them was a fire dragon that burned anything to ashes, a water sea serpent that had great healing abilities and lightning bird that was as fast as the speed of light. Alex fought them head on, but in the end Alex used a powerful sealing xtu to seal the spirits in three children who were chosen by him. By using up his entire life chi to save the lands Alex died. Thirteen years later there is an academy for ninjas. Here is where we will meet our main characters. Max, who is the popular kid in school, also is very arrogant. Next we have Maddie a girl who is in love with Max just like all the other girls in school. Then there is a very energetic ninja named Spark who is best friends with J.C. The fourth is a ninja named Kitt he is very slow person also he cannot use any xtu. And last we have the main character J.C who is in love with Maddie (she does not know or acknowledge this) and is best friends with Spark. Main Story: After passing the finals J.C is put into his ninja group named Team Phoenix and the leader being his older brother Zane. J.C's teammates consist of: Spark, Maddie and Max. 2. One year after the events of Episode I, Captain Pilgrim is once again carrying a shipload of passengers between star systems. This time her guests include a mysterious priestess, a wayward youth and a robotics genius. Little does she know that this latest journey will set her off on another hazardous adventure, involving a shadowy government organisation known as the Jackals ... Episode II is where this saga really gets going. Several new and important characters are introduced, and many more elements of the Pilgrim universe and its history are revealed. Similar in style to the first episode, this one is slightly more in depth and will probably take two or three hours to play through. Episode III will be released in about two weeks. You can find previews of future episodes at http://www.pilgrimadventures.com, and I will upload an anti-spoiler walkthrough for this episode tomorrow. 3. A corrupt government, an enigmatic disease, and false prophecies! Explore a mysterious land in this non-combat adventure RPG. Demo (LAST UPDATE: 8/23/15) RUNTIME: Approx. 45 mins WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO WORLD ONE? Feel free to PM if you're interested. I'm only really looking to accept mappers, artists (general), musicians, coders, and dedicated testers (ie. people to file error reports and critique literally everything); PM if your skillset is not on this list but you wish to help. STORY: Washed ashore and separated from his crew, Eric finds himself the newest hope for a land that he doesn't even speak the language of. Due to his moral aptitude and his apparent cunning, he is praised as a hero by a small band of outsiders, but the moral grey area begins to grow as betrayal, under-the-table-dealings, an enigmatic virus, and destruction of history happens; every being in Illfog and the land surrounding it seems to have something that isn't quite right about them- Eric must question who, if anyone, is in the right, whilst battling savage monsters, becoming a sex icon, and destroying one red herring after another in a wild goose chase where the clock is ticking. GAMEPLAY FEATURES: For the most part, The Beginning does not offer any traditional battle system (with one or two exceptions), instead going for a visual novel x adventure style. Most things in the gameplay are offered through items and choices which lead to different paths and endings. CHARACTERS: SCREENSHOTS CREDITS Known Issues: No major bugs
  4. Captain Gail Pilgrim has been flying starships since she was a kid, ferrying passengers between planets and space stations across the galaxy. She has no reason to expect that this latest trip to Alpha Centauri will be anything special, even if her passengers are a little more diverse than usual: a fusion scientist, a retired space marine and a priest. However, it turns out to be far from a routine interstellar voyage … Following Gail’s adventures across this four-episode space saga will take you to space stations, colonies, cities and islands across an immersive and intricate futuristic universe. You’ll meet many fascinating individuals, solve puzzles and become engaged in an epic science fiction narrative. The main selling points of this saga are the story, the characters and the universe. I was learning to use the RPG Maker program as I made these games, which means they become increasingly open and ambitious as the series goes on. The games have been made in the style of the traditional point-and-click adventure games of the nineties, so there is a focus on narrative, exploration and puzzle-solving. The first episode is quite short and you can probably complete it in an hour or two. Episode II will be released next week. You can find previews of future episodes at http://www.pilgrimadventures.com, as well as a handy anti-spoiler walkthrough. 5. Are audio recordings better or written text? (assuming they're both executed well). I got two scripts working for me for an adventure game, more or less. I tinkered with the code. I made modern algebra's Quest Journal look like a journal for keeping notes you pick up. And I got Galv's Music Player to play Audio Log SE's only, for when you pick up recordings in-game. My FIRST idea was to get the journal to play voice recordings whenever accessed, but I couldn't adjust the program that far, so I decided to just settle for what I have right now. I got most of the story laid out so it's right now a matter of execution and world-building. In summary: Should I stick with the Journal Entries, the Audio Player, or just have both in the game? What do you think would work better? Do you need me to provide a sample of what I've accomplished?

DEMO ADVICE: This game is an adventure game, so make sure to explore your surroundings thoroughly. The solution to every puzzle can be found in your surroundings. Also, don't forget to ask Vincent for advice. Sometimes he even says useful things (but don't count on it 100% of the time). Sam Liam's ten-year-old brother. Sam is trapped in the Daze, presumably somewhere in its inner depths, and cannot escape without his older brother's help. Play "Play" is the name of a girl who speaks to Liam from somewhere inside the Daze. She wishes to escape with the two brothers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jam-packed with original artwork, sprites, and edits to create a dark, creepy atmosphere. ----- More custom-animated ways to die than you can flick a stick at. ----- Very story-driven, with a healthy balance of warm fuzzies, dramatic gravity, pure terror, and humour. ----- 5 different endings, ranging from Worst, Bad, Normal Good, and Best. It is entirely based on environment exploration and problem solving, so it is not a survival horror game (no combat). If you are particularly perturbed by all things related to creepy children and toys, then this is definitely recommended for you.
  8. I wanted to give parallax mapping and Kahs' truly awesome dynamic lights system a try yesterday. So, I threw together this noir-looking urban map in a couple hours. I used mostly various common licence textures found throughout the internet, and I combined them with materials from the High Fantasy and Horror bundles, some with minor edits. Here's the map! It's a part of the filthy, sprawling city (albeit without any objects at this point). The rich and poor live divided - the poor inhabit the valley where they bunk somewhere in the slums, or sleep in the city park. All the while, the upper middle class lives in relative luxury and their gated quarters are serviced by shops, cafes, communal buildings. Also, note - steam cars! Woo! However, it all looks better during the night. Hanging out with bums! Kittens! Also, all the objects such as lights, doors, etc. are just placeholders and are really ill-fitting. Never mind that, I think somebody's being driven off by the ambulance. Must be heart-warming to see such a protective older brother in a den of iniquity such as this! ... What? Climbing up the stairs to the Upper City, you could hear the girl at the news stand yelling: "Extra, extra, read all about it!" If you think poor people are asshats wait til you meet someone rich. I promised lizards, and a lizard I deliver! Hope you have fun looking at this little gallery of nonse, 'cause I had fun toying around with it.

  11. Any advice on making sidescroller tilesets? My stuff ends up looking really awkward so I've had to default back a few times. The feel I'm aiming for is a bit like "Dreaming Mary", actually. I thought the system was a really neat way to tell a story and I wanted to replicate that.

There are more original character’s, I just have not put them in the game yet. The following contains a big number series I’ll be using for the Super Route only, as I am yet to finish the Real Route. I will add unit’s from the real route, once I've done the main plot of the real route. (I don’t want to say you can play with these characters, when they aren't in the game yet.) There are hidden series, for you to discover. They will be featured during the combined route. I will not be providing a summary for these reasons. A) You know the anime and character’s - Giving you a description would be pointless You don’t know the anime and character’s - Then why would you read/care about a description. This Game is based off Super Robot Wars Neo for the Wii and OE for the PSP. I will try and bring all the features from those two games into this one. Along with RPG adventure elements. This is a Solo Project; however I had taken resource’s from various different places. Credits are subjected to change due to me no longer having any need of it. You can tell me you’re story ideas or thing’s you’ll like in the game. This is a solo project and you’re help will speed things up.
  13. Total Progress Story: 85% Graphics: 15% Eventing: 0% Mapping: 0% Databasing: 30% Hello, and welcome to what is probably the first game I will develop seriously. Imaginite is adventure RPG game developed by a team of one. The expected release date will be two years from now (May 16, 2015) as I will work to ensure that every bug will be fixed and the game balanced to perfection. The story revolves around the trials and tribulations of four unique characters as they stumble upon a mysterious artefact and are accidentally transported to another world. However, this world isn't the usual bells and whistles alternate dimension world. In fact, the atmosphere, mood, and characters are all based off of the character's lives, their issues, struggles, and plights. Now that they have stumbled upon these strange worlds, how will they escape? Oliver: Archaeology aficionado, bright, inquisitive, level headed, but temperamental, and an avid fantasy game fan. His victimized past and his parent’s preference for his younger brother Patrick leaves a lot of pent up frustration, which he utilized fantasy games as a means of relieving stress. He has high aspirations of being an archaeologist like his father, but is sometimes too unrealistic in planning his future, which causes him stress. Bianca: A friend of Oliver, who often questions Oliver’s motives and actions. Bianca is a self-professed nerd who excels in literature, but is socially awkward at times. Uncertain about her own future, and easily envious of other writers, she is difficult on herself frequently, but displays a positive attitude toward others and their work. Her parents divorced when she was 12, and she lived with her mother ever since. Easily gets angry at self for her lack of prowess in literature, but constantly strives and sets goals to be better. Strongly believes that skill is based off talent + hard work, but one can’t survive without the other. Josephine: One of the ‘popular kids’, but refuses to participate in doing whatever immature acts her peers seem to delight in, Josephine feels compassion and sympathy toward Oliver and Bianca instead of teasing and bullying them. She’s a sporty, athletic pugilist who surprisingly is an above average student with a speciality in mathematics. She suffered a tragic past which claimed the lives of her parents, and was taken to an orphanage. She eventually warms up to the party after discovering their plight, misfortunes, and past and compares it to her own. Patrick: Dark, brooding, and a loner who hates everyone, and apathetic, his negative spirit and thoughts cause the artefact to transport him to a dark world.. His hatred of others stems from his own hatred toward himself, that if he can’t be happy, no one else can. He soon realizes that everyone should value their own lives as well as others, and that both extremes are unhealthy. - 4 playable characters with completely customizable playstyles. - Side view animated battle system with loads of special move effects. - Skill Runes to mix and match several unique effects on your spells. - A crafting/alchemy system to brew potions of several different effects. - A stat point distribution system to completely customize your character's stats upon levelling up. - An engaging and dark story revolving around the issues and problems of teenagers. I have started making sprites of characters and monsters along with other sprites. I may just make a demo to see how far I can get it. Here are some stuff I have so have fun. Whimsy Heroes

Abstract: A silly, sincere, sarcastic JRPG with attitude. Genre: RPG, Adventure, Saturday Morning Cartoon Average Game Time: ~15 hours Download Link: https://www.mediafire.com/?fb8p44abb01twj4 (460 MB) Game Synopsis: This is the story of Jack the Hero! He's an adventurer with a heart for a brain and an ultra sense of justice. Jack travels across a wild land making lots of new friends, including a Lumberjack, an Archaeologist, a Saleswoman, and a Wyvern with attitude. When evil ghosts start haunting innocent civilians, it becomes Jack's duty - no, his privilege - to save all who are affected. Together, Jack and team search for the world's greatest macguffin, the Core Prime Element, whilst stumbling into many misadventures. Their journey may be sunshine and giggles, but little-by-little Jack and his friends begin to unfold the profound mysteries of their world... Tone I tried making Whimsy Heroes akin to a Saturday morning cartoon. It is...whimsical...humorous...and sincere! Adult themes are limited and language is clean. Expect a greater focus on story, character development, and world-building as opposed to nuts-and-bolts game mechanics. Though I certainly tried to make the gameplay is engaging too. The purpose of the game is to just have a good time. Characters A total of 12 tubular heroes join your party through the game! A few key characters to highlight include: Jack "There are three rules to being a hero. One: No swear words. They are mad fuzz. Two: Always wear a cape. I think that one explains itself. Three: Treat every person you meet with love and kindness." Viera "This is another victory for SCIENCE!" As an archaeologist, Viera's wit and intuition guides the party through the dirtiest dungeons and muddiest waters. Her skepticism is sometimes at odds with Jack's carefree whimsy, but the party becomes better from it. Her meddle is put to the test when they uncover miracles that even she cannot understand... Scarlet "Why should I level up when there are starving kids in Uganda who don't even have experience points!?" Scarlet has a gift for quarrels and severity...but her heart is in the right place. She fancies herself a real 'Robin Hood', but it's hard to verify if she's ever successfully thwarted any evil capitalistic fat cats. While she may not believe in the spirit of a true RPG adventure, her strong personality becomes an effective weapon for Jack's party. Game Mechanics - Utilizes Yanfly's Turn-Based Battle System and accompanying Yanfly scripts. - Collect Materia to learn new skills! - Unique puzzles in each dungeon! - Every boss battle has a unique "gimmick" to keep things fresh! - 12 unique characters! Each have their own unique set of Passive Bonuses! The design intent was to make each character's stats and qualitative play style feel like their respective personality. (aka: Jack feels confident, Reynold feels sneaky, Gregor feels like a tree, etc.) - A compelling plot that's not too ambitious, not too simple. Battles are random encounters. But the player is given the option to disable encounters from the beginning of the game. If a battle has no intrinsic value, then there doesn't need to be a battle. Maps: Effort was put into making maps visually appealing and intuitive to navigate. Progression of maps are fairly linear, and are ultimately designed to compliment the story. Screen shots include: Pretty Landscapes: World maps akin to Super Mario Bros.: Puzzles and other non-battle gameplay elements: Every piece of equipment has a sarcastic description: ...and more screenshots: Script writers to credit: Yanfly (several scripts for battle and menu mechanics) Hime ("permastate" script) Graphics to credit: Faces: Fire Emblem 10 Character Sprites: Famitsu Sprite Generator Battle Sprites: Square-Enix, Enterbrain, a few publicly available sprite resources (I'm sorry, I have since lost the original illustrator's names) Music to credit: LOTS! 20. This is a post for "The Showroom" a working demo is not yet available. This is a free game that Nerd Storm Production (New Software Development Company) is working on. We currently have two games in development, one commercial and one free as well as the layout for a 3rd and 4th game. However the free one is called Tabula Rasa and here is the layout. Genre Fantasy, Adventure, Turn-based Plot: You are one of the few remaining "Sage Blades". Sage Blades are keepers in a sense and guardians of the worlds (with an s). You were kidnapped and as a precaution a self defense spell activated present in all Sage Blades that wiped your memory. You have no recollection of who you are. You are quickly met by a companion named Matias who was travelling with you when you were kidnapped. The universe of Tabula Rasa is based around these cards known as "Enigma Cards" and Enigma Card is the essence/spirit of various creatures that inhabit the universe and calling upon them allows you to invoke special effects in battle. Enigma Cards are commonly used by everyone. It is a method of survival short of weapons and armor. The Sage Blades are the only ones capable of bringing forth a Type B and Higher Enigma which can be devastating for the Universe of Tabula Rasa. You are a target and at the same time, trying to regain your lost memories scattered across the different worlds. The World: Tabula Rasa takes place in a universe not in a world. In Tabula Rasa there are special locations that have Ley Lines. These Ley Lines can only be accessed by a Sorcerer who can tap into them to open a portal to another parallel world within the Tabula Rasa Universe. These worlds may have characters that look similar or resemble characters you have already met but will not know who you are as they are unaware of the other worlds. The only ones with the knowledge of multiple worlds are the Jumpers. The Jumpers and Sage Blades and a select few other class of people. Jumpers are generally powerful Sorcerer's like Matias who may also be referred to as "World Hoppers." The jumpers are not as powerful as the Sage Blades, but the Sage Blades lack the ability to cross worlds. The worlds vary in timeframe. One world may be a medieval based world with a feudal system while another world may be a modern age world with technology, or you may cross into a futuristic world where technology is far advanced. Features: -High Resolution - Tabula Rasa utilizes the experimental, yet official, High Resolution dll. The game can be played on a variety of different Resolutions. You select your Resolution at the start of the game and can change it from the Title Screen at any time. Reports have said that Resolutions above 1024x640 may cause some errors with RPG Maker VX Ace not responding. I generally play test the game on 1344x768 and I have run into this error only twice. So that it is not totally confirmed but it is worth a mention. - Advanced Party system that will allow you to modify your party as you see fit. Different party members may have different skills that will aid you. Some party members specialize at something but you can only have 4 Party Members at one time, so you may need to switch members in and out. (IE. Matias and World Hopping) - Card Based Battle System - Engima Cards are the form of combat in Tabula Rasa. It is turn based combat. There are very few skills in Tabula Rasa. Most skills are based on the Enigma Cards. The Enigma Cards are found, purchased, traded, etc. The Engima Cards you have go into your card collection. It is up to you to build a Deck to go into battle with. The Deck can contain a maximum of 50 cards and certain cards are restricted and may only allow you to have 1 or 2 of them in one deck. Each party member has 1 deck and you all share the same collection. The cards do not take up inventory space and stored separately. some of the cards can only be found in a certain type of world. (Gotta Collect Em All! Enigma Cards!) - Inventory Restrictions - each party member is only allowed to hold a certain amount of items which combine to create a maximum inventory. At the start of the game you are restricted to 200 inventory slots. - Storage System - as there is an inventory restriction there is also an "Engima Storage System." The engima storage system are certain places in the different worlds that work under the front of being a "bank." However the employees are all World Hoppers or "World Travelers." World Travelers do not have the ability to jump but they are simply adventures who may commission a Jumper to travel the different worlds. The Enigma Storage System allows you to store your items and access them across the various Worlds in the Tabula Rasa Universe. - Various Other Features, Too Much to Name - there are a ton of other features that are too large in number to name or this post would never end. There is a Bestiary System, there is day and night cycle, a lighting system, a dynamic enemies system so enemies level up with you, there are a number of hidden secrets, there is some voice acting, there is just so much to name that I am probably forgetting a huge amount. The Prologue: http://imgur.com/a/xmK6g#0 (Yes it is in order, read it from left to right unlike tradition Manga) Some Screenshots: Video Snippet Characters Hero - You select your own name Matias - Your companion in the journey to help you regain your memories Various other characters who have not yet been named since this game is still in its early stages Credits Oh boy, this is going to be a huge list. I will put it in spoiler tags. Note Please Note at the end of the video snippet - where i showcase the resolution changes, the only reason the picture looks disfigured is because I haven't yet adjusted the settings to fit the resolution. It has nothing to do with the scripts or with the High Resolution .dll Feedback Please share your thoughts and comments with me. This project is in its infant stages. But I plan to have a working demo soon once I finish up the first mini dungeon. Demo (12/25/14) http://nerdstormproduction.com/downloads/Tabula_Rasa.zip

    The Warriors of Solian

Genre: Adventure RPG Progression: 100%! The Warriors of Solian is Team Lightning's second project. - Storyline - A legendary star that would give unlimited powers to the warrior's weapon, a star that only appears each 200 years, the Star of Power. "200 years ago... The 9 Legendary Warriors chosen by the Star of Power, defeated the Diablo Sword and saved the world. For a while... Now this story is about to begin once again..." The next Star of Power fell on the Earth, boke to pieces and chosen the next 9 Legendary Warriors. You and your 2 friends are some of them. You have to find the 6 other Legendary Warriors before the Diablo Sword returns. Where will they be? Who will they be? You will discover it soon. Because right now, the war between the two warrior tribes, Solian and Darkner for the Fragments of the star began, and the leaders of the Darkners are: Tai, Silver and Aspen. You have to end this war before finding the Legendary Warriors. - Characters - "Sorry! Team Lightning doesn't have an Artist yet, so the custom characters I created don't have faces, only sprites. When we find someone that can help us with that, we will edit this part." - Heroes - Kai (You) The best Swordman in the Solian tribe. He has great fighting skills. He would do anything to finish the Darkner tribe and put an end to all the other wars that have begun between those tribes. With the Star of Power, he has a chance to do that. Race: Human Weapon: Light Sword (Modified by the Star of Power) Jin The best Mage in the Solian tribe. He is indeed a smart guy and is always trying to help his partners when they need him. He won't let anyone stop him while he's trying to save his partners. Race: Human Weapon: Light Spear (Modified by the Star of Power) Haruka The best Archer in the Solian tribe. She has a great audition. Her skills with the Bow are perfect, making it be almost impossible for her to miss an attack. Race: Human Weapon: Light Bow (Modified by the Star of Power) - Villains - Tai The best Swordman in the Darkner tribe. He's Kai's sworn enemy and a great strategist. Tai is a really serious person and all he thinks about is winning the war between Solian and Darkner. Race: Human Weapon: Dark Sword (Modified by the Star of Power) Silver The best Mage in the Darkner tribe. He's as smart as Jin, but he's also his sworn enemy. He would love to see the Solians suffering and his current objective is: Kill all the enemies, principally Jin. Race: Human Weapon: Dark Spear (Modified by the Star of Power) Aspen The best Archer in the Darkner tribe. She's Haruka's sworn enemy. Aspen is as serious as Tai and NEVER misses an attack (What means that she is more skilled than Haruka). All she thinks about is training and defeating her enemy. Race: Human Weapon: Dark Bow (Modified by the Star of Power) Flynt He isn't a Solian, but he isn't a Darkner either. Nobody knows if he's part of the Midwild tribe, but he says that he fights alone. He doesn't care about anybody else and has a really resistant armor. His helmet makes it impossible to see his face, so he is kinda mysterious. Race: Human[?] Weapon: "The Dark Destructor" (Regular Sword. NOT modified by the Star of Power) - Neutral - Ray He is the Leader of the Midwilds. He masters all the weapons except the Bow, and, since the Midwilds don't use Magic, the Spear. He is weaker than Jin (in Attack aspects), but he has destructive techniques like the Blitz Attack and the Omnislash. Race: Human Weapon: All The Weapons except Bow and Spear. NOT a Legendary Warrior. - Screenshots - - Credits - At last, we have the credits. Arts: Tsarmina Audio: Fanmade Studios/DarkTreecko2 (You can find his channel clicking here) (Some musics from Castle Crashers and Kirby's Return to Dreamland were also used). 23. Genre: Adventure/Action/Fantasy RPG Progression: 30% The only way to understand The Warriors of Solian II is playing The Warriors of Solian I. All the episodes are connected to each other. Welcome to Team Lightning's next RPG Project Topic! This project is led by: Skyninja We are now telling the ages of the characters, to show that they age. - Storyline - Months had passed after the end of the war between Solians and Darkners, and the peace was restored, with no need of destroying any of these two tribes. Now this island is known as Solian, where you can call the ex-Darkner side "North Solian" and the other part, "South Solian". Flynt and his brother Ray can no longer stay in Solian, so they had to go to another island, the island that they found was Sherdlin, where Flynt met the Diablo Quartet, that gave him fragments of the Fragments of Power, to increase the power of his weapon. But Flynt only received those fragments because he accepted a Curse Deal. He would have to kill the 6 Legendary Warriors that already appeared, or else all his power and Vital Energy would belong to the master of the Diablo Quartet, who is unknown. Who is the problem now? Flynt? The Diablo Quartet? Their master? The Diablo Sword? What can the Legendary Warriors do with so many problems at the same time? The group of the Nine Legendary Warriors isn't complete yet, and maybe it'll never be completed if this darkness wave doesn't stop. More secrets will be revealed in The Warriors of Solian II - The Dark Destructor. - Characters - - Heroes - Kai (You) The best Swordman in South Solian. He has great fighting skills. After the war between Solian and Darkner ended, he decided to wear a new armor and train every day, to finally discover who's the strongest Swordman in all Solian. Race: Human Age: 14 Weapon: Light Sword (Modified by the Star of Power) Jin The best Mage in South Solian. He is indeed a smart guy and is always trying to help his partners when they need him. He won't let anyone stop him while he's trying to save his partners. Race: Human Age: 14 Weapon: Light Spear (Modified by the Star of Power) Haruka The best Archer in South Solian. She has a great audition. Her skills with the Bow are even better, so it'll be hard to see her missing an attack. Race: Human Age: 14 Weapon: Light Bow (Modified by the Star of Power) Tai The best Swordman in North Solian. He's not Kai's enemy anymore, they are friends, but at the same time, great rivals! Tai is a great strategist. Tai is learning stop being always serious. Race: Human Age: 15 Weapon: Dark Sword (Modified by the Star of Power) Silver The best Mage in North Solian. He's as smart as Jin, and they are also great friends and rivals, trying to know who is the best Mage. When he finds someone suspicious, there's only one thing the thinks about: "Do not trust this person" Race: Human Age: 14 Weapon: Dark Spear (Modified by the Star of Power) Aspen The best Archer in North Solian. Now she's Haruka's best friend. Aspen is learning to stop being always serious, just as Tai (and is doing really good). Now that she is a Solian, she will help them with her great vision skills, and the ability we all know: She never misses a target. Race: Human Age: 14 Weapon: Dark Bow (Modified by the Star of Power) - Villains - Flynt After he disappeared from Solian, everyone thought he gave up, but he didn't. He doesn't care about anybody else and has a really resistant armor. After enchanting his weapon, he ran away to the new island, known as Sherdlin, where he met the Diablo Quartet. They gave him fragments of the Fragments of Power, that made the Dark Power inside him take over his body and transform him into a Demon. Race: Demon in Human Form Age: Unknown Weapon: "The Dark Destructor", enchanted by the Volcano Blacksmith and fused with fragments of the Fragments of Power, thanks to the Diablo Quartet. Ray He used to be the Leader of the Midwilds. He's Flynt's brother and masters all the weapons except the Bow and the Spear, but he has destructive techniques like the Blitz Attack and the Omnislash. Race: Human Age: 16 Weapon: All The Weapons except Bow and Spear. The Diablo Quartet ??? There's nothing you can say about him. He always appears as a shadow and nobody mentions his name. The new Legendary Warriors probably don't know him, but he knows them very well, and he is their worst enemy. - Screenshots - - Features - Xiderwog Action System (XAS Battle System) added. 24. Arpygea Dawning My first extended game project in early development: currently designed as a free game Greetings, Arpygea Dawning is my first extended game project. It is designed to begin as a learning experience utilizing the basics of RPG Maker VX Ace, then evolve into a sophisticated game with original graphics, music and gameplay elements as I learn more and (hopefully!) attract the interest and assistance of the many talented scripters, artists, and developers in the community. Since I am new to RMVXA many of the elements will be RTP in the beginning as I become acquainted with the application and utilize it to structure and flesh out my storyline. Project Timeline 01Aug2014 [update]: Added the concept and map in a post below of the FutureWorld component of Arpygea Dawning: Retropolis - link 27May2014 [update1]: Created a topographical Arpygea Map that encompasses the northeast quadrant of the world (town names, kingdoms, and more to be added later): 27May2014 [update2]: Added Modern Algebra's Quest Journal script to game and created a couple of windowskins (the Forest of Lost Souls green leaf patterned one is shown, the royal kingdom one will be added later). Note: the Haunted Forest gameplay video was captured prior to Journal, windowskins and other additions so they are not in it. Also, in characters I've started the biographies of Aeron, Elysabeth, and Aurella. Screenshots of new windowskin & quest journal 18May2014 [update to update of revised video: reduced size of game message portraits and added more dialogue (still incomplete)]: Added a gameplay / story development sequence video . Note: dialogue and mapping, etc. incomplete. I am utilizing a combo of Yanfly scripts with Galv's Message Busts' script and Yami's overlay script. All or most of graphics, portraits, sprites are placeholders until original art can be arranged. Pardon my clunky-ness with the controls during the video and there is some silly dialogue at the end that is just there temporarily for my own amusement. The end game will not have that kind of silliness (hopefully). My intent though is that the game will run the gamut from humor to tragedy, danger to romance, while providing chills and thrills and involving the hearts and minds of the players ... oh yeah, and be fun too! . 14May2014: Added new and revised maps and screenshots (Haunted Forest, Cyanna's Village and Cyanna's House), expanded credits to include more artists and scripters whose work I am provisionally using. Please see "Screenshots" section for new screenshots and maps images (will add maps category soon) and credits for expanded list (note: as always, if I miss giving credit to anyone please let me know and I'll correct that -- also I believe I am using resources appropriately for a free project but let me know if not and I'll fix that too). Added placeholder portraits to "Characters" and "Creatures". 28April2014: Created early project feedback page. Included video (with two alternate title screens and a post-credits sequence) , several screenshots, story summary, short character descriptions, and credits. Note gameplay / features wishlists will begin with that incorporated in the RMVXA app in the beginning, then will expand to include the scripting, artwork, and other elements from outside sources to give Arpygea Dawning a unique form and style. Note: if I miss crediting anyone for elements utilized within this project as it evolves please let me know and I will make sure that credit is given where credit is due! Thank you for visiting this page and all constructive feedback is greatly appreciated! Vox Populi
