Alright! It's been quite a while since I started something of interest. (Cue everyone saying I'm uninspiring lol) I've been working with a mechanic that has some flavor gifting to the "post game" of Demons and Dragons' chapter 2. The player has all party members, save one, at this point, being level 20-25 for most of them. You're given the True Arena, which prevents exp/gold gain, drops, and also has a multiplier to the stats of what you have fought before. Example Frezeraga versus Frezeraga + HP: 520 (x30) HP: 15600 Atk: 52 (x3) Atk: 156 Def: 43 (x3) Def: 129 Mat: 57 (x3) Mat: 171 (I think you get the idea) With this example, an enemy you run into while level 12-13 becomes a heavy threat once you get to the arena. There's also the True Arena+, which holds bosses- the bosses reused are from their final encounter- of various points in the game's story. The same rules and multipliers apply, and beating all the rounds grants you access to the Himilri (Scalvosian for God's Sactum). Here, you fight gate guards, trail bosses you have found throughout your adventure (stats are treated in a different fashion), and the gods of Scalvose themselves. Beating any of the 10 round tiers of the arenas grant rewards and other things, but the first two arenas reuse past encounters. Is this something I should do a trial and error of, or keep, get rid of...? If I should keep it, for the first two arenas, should I change up the multipliers? On the end note, these arenas can't really be attempted without being level 80+, as the way stats are balanced in my game provide the fair difficulty and force the player to understand and respect each party member for their strategies and their traits.

So I browsed to see if anything was up here already, and so here is my presentation. It sounds simple in my head, but I'm not a java scripter. I've broken it down intto steps, if someone wants to tackle a step at a time and then we can post the results in this thread. IF this sound interesting but any part seems to big to tackle just for funsies, I'd be willing to negotiate compensation. Step 1 Controlling all actions in a battle. Change Enemy actions IN battle to allow the player to pick them. --- Right now, the AI picks from the list. It seems simple enough to just copy and paste the classes that control player input actor actions into where the scripts grab the current enemy actions. But I'm dumb so maybe I'm asking a lot. Step 2 Actor Vs Actor Allow an actor to be placed where the to be called instead of an Enemy so you have an actor vs actor battle. //Step 2 and 1 effectively give you the ability for PVP hotseat between two players. Step 3 Allow PVP to be turned on and off by plugin command. Allowing for PVE and PVP Step 4 Being able to export and import in deployed game So I create a character at my house in the game. email the file to myself. Go over my friends house, load it up and PVP head to head. Step 5 Going online This is probably the point at which I stop. But the end goal of the game, would be for two players to be able to p2p connect and the game share the battle information and actors information so you can do PVP in battle. Not a true MMO, as its just battling against one other person a la pokemon.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Boss Rush! [5 kills] [Posters Defeated!]
Rikifive posted a topic in Role Playing And Forum Games
Welcome to Boss Rush! Here the whole community can test their skills to kill as many bosses as possible. Rules [â—] Posters have 100 Maximum HP and 15 Maximum MP. [â—] Posters automatically regenerate 1 MP each turn. (post) [â—] Posters have 4 commands: Attack, Fire ball, Healing and Drain. ├→ Attack deals 1 damage. ├→ Fire Ball deals 5 damage, costs 3 MP. └→ Healing recovers 5 HP, costs 3 MP. └→ Drain deals 3 damage, heals 2 HP, costs 3 MP. [â—] Boss attacks once per day (I'll take care of it, since I'm online very often) and deal damage to posters. (Around 12 PM) [â—] One poster cannot double post (obvious) or else Game Master kaz will come and will kick you from the server. (= [â—] The next Boss will be tougher than the previous one. If Boss is killed, please wait for next one. [â—] Posters will acquire item every Wednesday, Saturday and killed Boss. item will be randomized based on randomly generated number. The item can be: ├→Health Potion - Restores 20 HP. (40% chance) ├→Mana Potion - Recovers all MP. (30% chance) ├→Elixir - Restores 10 HP and 10 MP. (25% chance) └→Unique Item - ????? (5% chance) [â—] Don't be afraid of making maths errors, it's fine if that will happen ~ we're not robots, so we can make mistakes. └→ If someone will make such an error, feel free to correct that, it'll help everybody. I'll keep an eye for errors myself. (= [â—] If someone is breaking the rules, please ignore that / these post(s) and refer to the post above. [â—] Rules may change anytime, to balance the game or fix bugs. Example Example Beginning Stats 47 / 100 6 / 15 24 ---- Next post (Copy, Paste & Edit post above) - Boss took 1 damage! 47 / 100 7 / 15 (Remember to regenerate 1 MP) 23 (Because he took 1 damage, that's obvious) ---- (Highlight and copy one of these icons) Next post (Copy, Paste & Edit post above) - Posters recover 5 HP! - 3 MP. (Paste the icon here and add some comment) 52 / 100 (Because they regenerated 5 HP, obvious) 5 / 15 (- 3MP, due to using skill; Remember to regenerate 1 MP) 23 (Nothing happened there) ---- * If you can't see the images, then you are allowed to use this pattern (or at least, do something similar): [Healing] - Posters recover 5 HP! [Posters][HP] 52 / 100 [MP] 5 / 15 [_Boss_][HP] 23 [Commands]-[Attack (1dmg)]-[Fireball (5dmg; cost 3MP)]-[Healing (recovers 5HP; cost 3MP)]-[Drain (deals 3 damage, recovers 2HP; cost 3MP)] Please follow these patterns, it makes everything easier to read and lets others easily get necessary information. And that's all. Nothing else. If you have any suggestions, feel free to say what you think. Please use gray color for these messages. Chatting, lol'ing etc. is allowed here. Please use gray color and keep your messages short. Thank you. Posters Defeated! RESULT Boss Kills .................................................................... Hi guys and girls, I just wanted to get your opinion on the above idea's because I'm not sure if SotA should have all the content it is planned to have, Also the story keep's changing and I feel there is a risk I might end up having to chop what I thought were key element's in the game, But yet they may not be. What do you guys and gals prefer? Open World or Linear Gameplay? 1 Quest and no detour's or Infinite Quests that change randomly when you complete one? A lot of backstory before I get too deep into the game? Surprises aka lots of plot twists? So many questions and yet so little space to ask them all Sincerelly The guy behind the mask
