This is an 8-Bit cover of 'You're In My Head Like a Catchy Song', a song from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - S07E13: The Perfect Pear. To give some backstory, the episode featuring that song is about ponies learning about their parents' and the feud between families. Apple and Pear families were constantly at odds with each other over who were the better farmers. The only two members of each family to get along were Pear Butter of the Pears and Bright Mac of the Apples. Despite the heated rivalry between their families, their childhood friendship eventually blossomed into a beautiful romance, unaccepted by any of the families. This led to some dramatic choices... So in short, it's kiiinda like Romeo and Juliet. I have to admit, that it sounds rather cliche, but I really liked that episode, which motivated me to do something productive, so here it is, my 8-bit version of the song, made in FamiTracker.

A unicorn pony, Twilight Sparkle receives a very important mission from Princess Celestia, the ruler of the magical land of Equestria. She and her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike are sent to Ponyville, where her task will be to meet other ponies and study about the Magic of Friendship. Explore Equestria, solve puzzles and fight together! ♥ Energetic Battle System As everything will be based on hit-boxes, each skill will have different usage. A single projectile will be better against singular large enemies, while Area of Effect will perform better against multiple smaller enemies. Besides that, the projectiles may have different behavior dependable on skill. Some skills may also have interaction involved, like timed action, chain of buttons or simple button mashing when casting powerful abilities such as Twilight's Magic Nova. ♥ Each pony has a set of unique skills As each pony is different as the night is from the day, their abilities and specialties are different as well! ♥ Skill Tree Each pony will have a different path. Gain experience to improve or learn new abilities. ♥ Skill Assign System Each pony can assign 8 abilities, either active or passive. A good combination of active and passive skills may give decent (even unexpected) results. ♥ Resource gathering and crafting Collect materials to craft equipment; Combine equip-able gems to get better-quality ones; Collect herbs and plants to allow Zecora brew potions. ♥ Many cutscenes and events ...Even too many. Take a break and relax for awhile. ♥ Songs! Your favorite songs from the show will appear here as well! ♥ Minigames and Puzzles Various minigames and solving puzzles to keep the boredom away! ♥ More PONIES! ... List of Skill Categories: Legend: [ICON] Name of Category | Set | What resources the category focuses on Passives | Special | --- Each pony will be able to bring 8 skills in total to battle, so either an active or a passive skill can be equipped in these slots. Equipping Passives will simply raise pony's parameters or add special features like additional projectiles when attacking etc. at cost of a skill slot. A well thought combination of these skills can give decent results. Everypony will have Passives. Now let's talk about unique skill sets for each pony. Magic | Primary | MP/EP Twilight will have various spells, starting from simple telekinesis that will deal light damage by throwing various objects -> through magic projectiles that will deal magical damage -> to powerful Area of Effect Spells, that at high MP and EP cost, will bring some destruction to the battle field. Skills | Primary | EP Rainbow Dash will be able to use her wings to perform various tricks to deal more physical damage. Weather | Secondary | MP/EP Rainbow Dash will also be able to control weather to deal elemental damage as well as Area of Effect. Partying | Primary | MP/EP Pinkie Pie will always find an occasion to throw a party and battling with enemies is not an excuse for her! She and her Party Cannon will show enemies how to party by dealing physical or magical damage. Blow up everything and party on! Songs | Secondary | MP/EP Besides partying, Pinkie Pie also loves to sing! As she sings songs during their adventure, she will learn to sing them in battle as well to raise parameters of ponies and more! Skills | Primary | EP Applejack is a strong farmer and she will show who has the power by dealing high physical damage or using her lasso to stun enemies. YEEHAWs | Secondary | MP/EP Applejack is an active pony and she will be showing her energy by motivating her friends and raising their strengths. Magic | Primary | MP/EP Rarity loves shiny gems. Besides using them for her creations, she also uses them as a weapon by dealing physical or elemental damage. Get ready for rains of shiny projectiles. FABULOUS! She can also use the bigger gems to defend her friends. Animals | Primary | MP/EP Let's be honest, Fluttershy wouldn't even harm a fly and even if a situation requires that, she will have troubles with defending herself. However, her beloved animals will cover her! She will be able to call various animals to deal physical or magical damage. Calling a bear will cause some troubles to enemies! Support | Secondary | MP Nopony is as kind and caring as Fluttershy. She will do her best to help her friends in need by recovering their strength and protecting them. Not available. Hello There! Sometimes speeding up/down and doing other kinds of science on tracks brings interesting results. This time, I've reversed my cover and I liked what I heard immediately. That's why I've decided to recreate it by flipping the song upside down and remix it a little. It still may sound off and weird, but I tried to not modify it that much. The flipping process itself took maaaany hours, as I had to re-do the whole song after all. So... Basically it's a mess, that sounds like a reversed track, with some editing to make it less messy. With that being said, if you'll reverse this remix, you'll definitely recognize the original song. SCIENCE!

Hello! =3 As Google isn't agree to help me out in this part, I am posting a thread here to request. (= For my Indie in a Week 3 (Contest hosted by Jackus~) entry, I'll need some fantasy (not modern, whenever I search Google it keeps finding me modern 8-bit music ~ that I don't need) retro/8-bit music that have a flavor of happiness in it ~ The game I'll be making contains ponies (YAY. =3) and funny stuff, so I am looking for some not-so-serious fantasy music. =3 If you can find some 8-bit music for comedy scenes too, that would be even more awesome! ^~^ Hoping for quick replies! While I was messing around with RM, I created some stand-in sprites. They are ponies, based on the MLP:FiM franchise. Here's who they're meant to be: Main Characters (shown in the enlargement against a dark background) - Celestia (Young version; she wears a scarf and has bandages on her legs) - Luna (Young version; she has a sword!) - Sombra (Young version; a young colt) - Discord (Young version; notice the hair) - Cogito (NPC ponysona by cyfrostan; just a little gift) I don't plan on creating an full RPG; so rather than let these sprites go unused, I'll put it here in case someone has use for them. Please note me if you would like to use the characters for something.* * I'm writing a book using these characters. Look for that in the future. Also! Critics please! =D

Story A mysterious figure named "Tivalaeth" sends a faulty Spellbook to Twilight, claiming it was Princess Celestia,knowing Twilight will be naive enough to believe that,she opens it and cast a spell,a spell that sucks all of Ponyville and surrounding area's in a strange new world,the party slowly start to realize its a book,mean while,there seems to be trouble brewing between the nations of the "Book world". Characters Twilight sparkle This is Twilight Sparkle,a young unicorn who was born in canterlot,she was sent to Ponyville to learn about friendship,she is the element of magic,meaning she is more magically powerful then most unicorns,though she isn't very adept in offensive magic,she still has some fighting skill. She is kind,friendly but can be "naggy" and naive,despite her intelligence. Pinkie pie This is Pinkie pie,she is...well...Pinkie pie,she's happy,fun,hyper and always has a song to sing she has a bad habit of not seeing whats right in-front of her over herself,but still very opening cares about her friends and can't seem to live with out them,without going insane,in battle she serves as a bard,singing and dancing to support the party and distracting enemies. Rainbow dash This is Rainbow dash,she is reckless,strong and quick,she has the most experiance at fighting,therefor she has a fairly high Attack stat,Power stat and speed stat,she can hit from two to five time,her 'magic" skills are based off weather ranging from tornadoes to thunder storms and everything in-between. Applejack This is Applejack,she is honest,athletic and and competivie,she often competes with Rainbow dash on who is more athletic,only to figure out they where mostly even,in battle she is the "warrior/tank" character with massive attack,great speed and good defense,though she lacks in good AP and D-SPC,she packs on powerful buck. Fluttershy This is Fluttershy,she is...well...shy,extremely kind and gentle,but extremely easly rattled,despite this,she will stick up for her friends if they're in danger,she has a very close bond with Rainbow dash,who stuck up for her when she was a filly,in battle she is very weak,but can heal,support the party and summon her animal friends Rarity This is Rarity,she is vain and has a bad habit of forcing her issues/task on her friends,despite this,she is the element of generosity,and thus is very caring to her friends and loved ones,in battle she acts as a "Druid" of sorts,having the prowess of being offensive,but a much better healer and has a slue of support. Spike This is Spike,he is Twilights number one assistant,as well as her best friend,he isn't the best fighter but has very tough scales,meaning he can take for DMG then most characters,he can also breath fire and do low level magic,he is very kind,loyal and smart,but can very sarcastic and vain,this may be a effect of his massive crush on Rarity.
