I never thought even I could make some music, but I don't know if mine would be too unpleasant to hear, so it takes me some courage to share them here DoubleX - Everyone Turning Against You

game soundtrack BFMA Soundtrack (40 Songs) Looking for Reviews
WidgetKitty posted a topic in Music Room
Hello everyone! I've been pouring a lot of effort into my game's soundtrack over the last year, but very few people have heard any of it. Big Friggin' Magical Adventure's music is geared to match the cute and whimsical style I'm going for, and I want to make sure they suit it. Most of these songs have been developing in my head for decades, since I was forced into music lessons as a kid - nice to finally get them made! These were all made in LMMS - please don't use any of these for a project, they are meant for my game only - I'm just hoping to get some feedback! So, here are forty songs from the WIP OST, which is probably only half the soundtrack but the important ones are ready. These are the unmastered versions, and anything can still be tweaked; speed, instruments, melody, or whatever. If anyone wants to comment on the songs, how suited they sound to their descriptions and such, or point out if something could sound better, then I'd be much obliged! Or just have a listen and see what you think. Links to each song on my above their descriptions, best open them in a new tab, and I'll put them in spoilers since there's so many. Main Themes Familiars Towns Loot Dungeons Questline I: Fate of the Future Questline II: Unnatural Horrors Questline III: Who Holds the Power Whew! OK, so that's most of what I've done so far. Thank you so much to anyone that took the time to listen, and any kind of feedback is welcome! -
Hello, I'm Scythuz and I am a professional freelancer who specialises in music and sound effects and ambience design. I have been working as one for roughly 5 years and have worked on games in various engines from RPG Maker & Gamemaker to Unity & the Unreal Engine. I've worked on everything from small game jam entries to fully fledged steam releases with over 100k copies sold. If you want to bring your game's audio to life, I'm your guy. I will take on pretty much any type of reasonable work within the above fields and you can hear some of my work right here! Music Portfolio: Sound Design Portfolio: Coming soon! Past commissions/projects: Please check out my soundcloud sets page to see the projects that I am currently allowed to share work for, feel free to ask for examples in specific styles. https://soundcloud.com/you/sets If you like what you hear, please consider hiring me! My prices are as follows: $20 per hour for all music, sound design and audio related work. OR alternatively: $100 per minute for music. Revision charges will apply, please detail what you want properly and provide references that closely match what you want. Example hourly pricings: Most simple pieces of 2 minutes long music will usually take 4 to 6 hours. More complex themes, or themes longer than 2 minutes will cost more due to taking longer to create. Sound design work takes a lot less time, it's not unusual to see me do 5-15 sounds in an hour. Menu sounds are even quicker than this. Budgeting, inquiries and free sample tracks If you're not sure whether you can afford me or not, or simply want to compare my prices to other people more easily, please feel free to approach me with a budget, track list and specific style in mind (youtube links are great for this). Work can be spread out over many months or taken on all at once. I will happily help with any inquiries you might have and I may even have time to give you a short sample track snippet. Be aware that this would be an incomplete track of a short length (less than a minute) and only serves to give you a taste of what it's like to work with me, how good a fit I will be for your game and a way to gauge pricing more accurately if there is uncertainty. Thanks for checking me out, I look forward to working with you!

Heya there, folks! I've not been present here in some time, but now that I am back in some capacity, I've decided to share some of my music, as musical composition is indeed one of the skills that I have under my wing. I am going to start by sharing two songs for an upcoming game that I am working on. At a later point, I will likely share more! Welcome to Cuvier: This is the theme song of the first town/stage, Cuvier. I used the Donkey Kong Country soundfont as well as some recordings of my voice. Welcome to Toco: This is the theme song of the second town/stage, Toco. I used the Donkey Kong Country soundfont as well as some recordings of my voice.

Hello there, I'm your Back-Alley's Snowman here in search for a team to work with on my free project. It's a funny little game about a protagonist that was thrown of a place called Demon Lord's company by his boss. Landing into a nearby trash can, he meets a woman there named Mao who convinces him to go back and convince his boss to give him his job back. After the adventure begins imagination is the limit. Our party must pass through the many floors of the company. Defeat enemies, solve puzzles, find keys and companions and overall make it to the top floor. That's the synopsis. I'm the writer so there are many things I lack. I need: - Pixel artist (Sprites)(Open) - Pixel artist (Backgrounds) (Open) - Composer(Open) If you're interested please comment or contact me at my discord: nero#3104 I'm using RPG Maker MV. Thank you for your time.

development Games with recognizable, licensed/public domain music...
PhoenixSoul posted a topic in Theory and Development
Now, this is likely a contentious subject, but for me, it's fairly simple. That said, there are a lot of games out there that have recognizable, licensed music that is (mostly) available to the public. I could make a list of them, but that would take a long time to do because you'll find this music in so many different genres of games, and this has been a thing since the mid 90's, which saw a big jump after CD audio inclusion became popular. The two main questions I wanted to ask are... 1) What do you think of games having this kind of music in them? 2) Are you planning/wanting to do the same with your gamedev projects? My answers: 1) It's a mixed bag as far as end results go, but in general it's fine by me. 2) As long as it's copyleft/public domain, it's possible. Otherwise, I may use them in building stages but never final releases and not public releases either. -
