Hello everyone! I've been posting some old resources lately that I created a long time ago for Dreadnought Interactive's games. I decide to let everyone here have a look at them, and use them if you want. These songs were mostly created for the Tower of Uso series, some of them are used in Tower of Uso 1, and the rest were going to be used in Uso 2, but after a year of work on Uso 2 it got deleted, and the Backup got corrupted so that went down the crapper. Now I'm offering these songs free of charge, and use them as use see fit, for your Commercial or Non-Commercial games. Just credit me Ragnos, and let me know if your going to use them in a game; I'd like to play it. You'll find the link to the Albums below. Judgement Album https://soundcloud.com/jasutin-1/sets/judgement-album Shadow Album (Was never fully completed) https://soundcloud.com/jasutin-1/sets/shadow-album I hope you enjoy some of them. ^.^

Hi! EpicFILE here! Considering I am a musician, but I haven't posted any music yet... This time I will post my music! Here it is... Light of Dawn! This is one of my older song which was made through recording (Most of my songs are purely digital, this one is an exception. There are some hissing noise, though. xD ) Well, enjoy the music, and leave a comment if you like to. Thank you for dropping by!

Ever wanted to play some music when you open up the menu? For example, on the map, you might have the regular map music playing, but then when you go to the menu, you have a separate BGM specifically for when players are going through the menu. With this plugin, you can do that just that! Not only can you choose what BGM to play, you can also change it at anytime during the game with events. Introduction: Music Producer trying to make a first game
dj_ithiel posted a topic in Introductions & Farewells
Hello everyone, I hope to make a game that is worthy to play by your standards. More so, I hope that I do not give up on the project before I finish. Currently, I am attending Full Sail University to attain a BS in Music Production. In the future, I want to make music, sound effects, seamless loops, ANYTHING to do with audio for videogames. I am honored to join this community and hopefully it doesn't fall prey to TOO many trolls and glad to meet you all. V/R DJ_Ithiel -
(I'm new, so expect some cringe heading your way ^^') Hello, so I'm making a fangame called "Sonic Chronicles: Mephiles Reawakening" and I wanted to borrow some OST to use for my game. Problems have arose, however. I see a lot of people got stuck in this dilemma as well, and I used MP3s to play in the background. While trying to test the sound, none was to be heard. I tried importing the sound via resources, nothing. Importing in File Explorer, no. Anyway to fix this? Help will be appreciated!

Hello everyone. I was wondering what are your opinions on playing a game made with full RTP assests (tilesets, music, characters)? Custom scripts or Plug Ins can be involved but all the art, sprites, tiles, and music are RTP. Will you play that game or not? And why? Thank you all in advance~
-
This question might have been asked before, but I still need to ask it for myself: Is having the default tilesets/actor sprites/etc for my game okay? Or should I try and scout out for custom content or commission artists to make things for my game? See, I only ask because I feel a level of embarrassment when I realize that I'm still only using default sprites and tilesets that I got when I downloaded RPG Maker VX Ace and not making my own sprites or finding people to make them for me. Should I feel this way, though? Is it really that big of a deal? It's been bugging me for a few days... What do you guys think?

Free Chiptune/8 bit music for non commercial and commercial use?
Purpshuk posted a topic in Music Room
I've been looking around but I can't quite find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an album featuring lots of chiptune music for a wide variety of events and battles. -
So, I've been getting into RPG Maker VX Ace heavily in the last few days, it's my first bout with the program and the language (before now I'd only ever learnt python........). Would say I'm getting pretty proficient and have some pretty complex variable and switch based conditionals (probably warrants a sarcastic hoorah from some people but I'm proud ) But one thing has me stumped. I have a door quick event on each building in my town, and attached to that is a BGM Fade from the town theme, a 60 frame wait, and then a theme for that building plays. However, when I want it to go back to the theme for the town, it doesn't work. I have a feeling it's got something to do with Town->Building (which works) being an action trigger, and Building->Town being a parallel process, but I'm not sure how else I can get this effect smoothly. Here is my code for the town to the building, which works great. And here's the parallel process for my interiors of the town to the outside. (All my building interiors for this town share the same map.) I have a feeling it's Parallel Process vs. Action Trigger, but I'm not sure how else I can get the effect I want.

Hello everyone, I'm LuchaDoughnut. I greatly enjoy helping and being a part of RPG Maker Productions. I voice act, and even sing (I'm a tenor and bass), and I also enjoy music composition. Unfortunately, this is my first post, and I cannot upload any demos, but feel free to contact me at luchadoughnut@gmail.com, so I may assist you as well.

So it's hard to make the music that fits the era, and culture. So my brother compiled some songs from off of youtube, that seem to really work for the setting. I like them, but do you think they would work for the time period of 50bce, and an rpg/open world? A-Tribe-Called-Red-Electric-Pow-Wow-Drum.mp3.mp3 The music I included, is very much an rpg feel. I use it for the cities in South America. Is that too much repetition? the others are too large for submission and inclusion with the above song. The other songs inclulde drum and flute, and some southern cree war drum songs. That's all we have so far.

Presently I'm using all the default RTP content (and some DLC) for music. And really, it's working out so far, but I would eventually like to get some sweet custom music in there. Here's the problem: I have NO idea what I'm doing when it comes to making music. At all. I've tooled around with mixers before, like Dance2eJay, MTV Music Generator, and a few other things like that, but that's about it. With literally no knowledge of developing music or where to go to get samples and so on, what would you say is a good program and place for resources? Keep in mind, I am absolutely, 100% noobish on this, so something more complicated my not work out. I have worked with Audacity to a small degree, but only for the purposes of splicing together stuff for podcasts. As usual, if I've put this somewhere utterly incorrect, please feel free to move it. It's possible that I won't HAVE to use different music, but I definitely want to learn about making it and would at least like that as an option, especially for future projects.

Hi! As suggested by Arrpeegeemaker I'm showing you some music I made. I'm still more comfortable with real instruments than computer music, which I began quite late (it's relatively recent). I'm using Fruity Loops for this (well, the demo mode). I'm afraid that the original french sites and players where I posted most of them won't work around here, so I guess it'd be safer to do with my youtube compilations (even if it means one-hour long videos that nobody would want to play ). My first work including computer music, from 2011. I guess the computer music tracks are too short and the acoustic guitar tracks are too long (a lot of improvisations in it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTcHnJEsEIQ My work on the "Seventh door" team project I proposed in the project section here a couple of days ago. Made while I was also creating maps and graphics and so on for the game, with a tight time limit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkA2B6XFeC8 I have a soundcloud page but it's a mess, I merely use it for stocking random stuff: http://soundcloud.com/sriden Thanks for reading.

Hey, I found a soundcloud (or rather I remembered one) that had some old music I made, years ago. Lol it all sucks, not because I'm self-hating but because I've learned so much since then. They all have weird names, and 3 of them are the same track remixed for 1 user. Anyway, it's all old and it's all amateur, enjoy (or be amused) https://soundcloud.com/arrpeegee

Hello Members and Guests, as well as musicians and music enthusiasts! Being the amateur(?) musician for electronic music for almost more than 2 years, most fast paced music is a breeze for me. A question to musicians, or even to ones who know about music: How do you make or picture town music, as well as calming music? Having practiced music on a bpm range of 128-150, and being electronic dance music, it's quite hard to make calm music. Some tracks succeeded, but town music is something difficult. How do you picture it? How would you think a process making a calm track would be? These are the only calm music created, and those aren't even fitting for so called towns. That's 2 songs out of the huge list of tracks made. (Including outside of Soundcloud) https://soundcloud.com/eligrand-one/game-soundtrack-main https://soundcloud.com/eligrand-one/game-soundtrack-urban-jazz-time Considering the following: Since these will be made using a DAW program, will this affect it's process? (Both the tracks were technically created in a DAW Program, but not DAW plugins(?)) (Musicians on this forum do a great job at calm music)

I'm new to the RPG Maker community, and i'm trying to make a "Music Transition" through different regions on my over world But I believe the problem is that the script fades out of the currently playing music and starts playing the music corresponding to the region I am in, this obviously causes slowdown and the music never plays unless you step off the region. So I need help figuring out how to get a smooth transition from on region to the other. Here's my script, but keep in mind, I only started using RPG Maker a day ago.

First post in developing tools yay ~ I wanna introduce to you a powerful freeware to compose midi. I've been using this software since 2009 and I'm pretty familiar with it. Link : http://anvilstudio.com It also support for making custom loop point midi to work with RPG Maker. There's tutorial for it, though the tutorial is already gone I guess. I will make one if you want. It's not that hard. If you want to take a look how it's looked like? Here's my fast music composing using this software

Okay so I'm new at all this (sorry) but I was just wondering about making your own music, more or less I want to ask if anyone know any good programs you can recommend for making music similar to BGM and Battle Music. Thanks in advance!

Battle Stations! Trihan's Summoner of Sounds round 2 entry.
Trihan posted a topic in Literature Library
Hey guys, just wanted to get some feedback on my SoS round 2 track, Battle Stations! This month's brief is as follows: Track restrictions: Impression: Alerting, confronting Instrumentation: Your track may contain synthesizers, percussive elements and contemporary band instruments. Classical orchestral instruments are allowed in the mix, but should not make up the most of the song Game World Setting: Modern or futuristic sci-fi military setting. Video Game Genre: Action Game, CRPG, Strategy Game, Tactical J-RPG Game Instances: You have to compose for an assault type action scenario. And here's what I came up with: http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/96/locker/battle_stations_v3.ogg I'm mainly concerned with feedback regarding whether I managed to meet all aspects of the brief with the track, but all critique is welcome. -

music Formal Music composer seeking feedback! Also for hire for free!
VestigialNRG posted a topic in Music Room
Hello there everyone, i've posted a few times here and there, but i've never really saught to openly advertise myself or show my face that much, mainly because im somewhat shy. ^^ I want to try to introduce myself without sounding like im bragging...So i think in the only way to do that, so people don't think i'm lying just to make myself look good. So i'm going to screenshot what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'd rather screenshot these, instead of openly saying people say my music is within the AAA Ranks, because then people would automatically assume im an arrogant person with no particular talent and i have an over headed ego... Because AAA is like when Final Fantasy's music was REALLY good, you thought of good video game music and you instantly brought up Final Fantasy. Those times. Here is my soundcloud, where i upload my own video game music. https://soundcloud.com/insydnis This is where i upload my electronica. https://soundcloud.com/djobscure Coming from my own point of view on myself, i don't think im THAT good. xD but hey, as long as the fans are happy with the music then that's all that should really matter right? I have a passion for making music and i love to inspire other musicians! And i'm very linient with the distributions. i will gladly let you use any of it, so long as you give me proper credit! I'll even work for you for FREE (You descide wheather to pay me or not.) I'm just looking for more opinions and possibly feedback and meet and greet new people with interests in music and to introduce myself and meet and talk to people, hopefully make some friends! Thanks for reading all of this -
Hi! This is my first (and hopefully not last) music post. I just released a free pack on Soundcloud that you can download there for free to use in your projects. It contains 5 tracks + 2 jingles, all made of strings, nothing else. I hope someone finds it usefull, or at least just enjoys it Enough talking, here it is! --- [Link to the whole playlist with download link] --- Here are the best ones in my opinion: https://soundcloud.com/cloudstyle/2-plains https://soundcloud.com/cloudstyle/3-forest
