  1. Genre: Sci-fi Fantasy Average Demo Time: 55 minutes Game Progression: Story: 30% Design: 20% Art: 20% BGM: 80% Story: Ten years ago there was a great incident that befallen our planet. A meteor strike fell into the center of the planet that sent a deadly cosmic wave across the world. The attack of the meteor killed nearly three-fourths of the human population. But the meteor brought more than just death into our world. It turned our animals into human eating monsters. Soon the animals began to feast upon the remaining survivors. Soon us humans begin to build a large barrier in a wide spread area so the remains of humanity can dwell to keep safe. After the barrier was completed every human on the planet came and begins to dwell inside the barrier. Then a idea of creating a ideal government was introduced to make the choices for mankind. Their first choice was to create different areas in the barrier: the Government area, Business Area, Upper Class, Lower class. Each area had its unique functions. The Government area is where the people who run the everyday concerns of the barrier resides. The Business area is where all the shops is located. The Upper Class is where the rich and mighty lives. And the Lower Class is where the poor and working class lives. This caused a great problem to the people who had to live in the Lower Class area. They felt as though the government is punishing them for some unknown reason. The people in the Lower Class begins to detest the judgment of the government. But they won't dare go against the government. Cause they fear they'll be cast out with the monsters. But who would go against a government that overtime became a dictatorship. All the hope the Lower Class have is to stay quiet and keep their hope up for a brighter day. Character Bios: Dominic: The main character of the game. He lives in the Lower Class with his sister Samantha. He is considered a delinquent. He is in his last year of school. On the day of his class trip to see the meteor, he was able to read the text on the meteor. After that his real journey begins. Age:18 Mel: Dominic's best friend. He has a crush on Samantha. He is willing to help with any problem that Dominic has. Age:18 Amber: A traveler who lives outside of the barrier. She does many favors for people so they have to repay her back whenever she needs them. Age:17 Anya: A resident of the Upper Class. 3. OK, so I suppose it's time to start my LPing for RPG Maker games with this awesome new computer of mine. First up, Alter Legend: For Our Fallen, created by Matt Beer. The first part will be in video form on this page, the rest of them will be links. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsz_uyts1eM Part 2 - Glitchiness or Stupidity!? Part 3 - I suck at this game... Part 4 - Boss Rush Part 5 - I Hate You Vance! I'm not currently taking requests for LP's, please don't ask.
  4. Abstract: A game for treasure hunters about treasure hunters. Do you like hunting for treasure? Then this game is for you! Genre: Fantasy RPG Average Demo Time: 2-5 hours, depending on completion and how much you explore. Game Progression: Approximately 10%, but now that the groundwork is done, the rest of the development should go much quicker than the start did. Recruitment: N/A Story / Setting / Purpose: (Taken from the intro to the game) Character Bios: Credits: Screenshots: Demo Features: - Three dungeons to explore. - An overworld with secret areas to find. - Seven party members to recruit (not including the hero), and therefore seven different classes to play as. - The hero can change classes, and allies can be swapped out at any time except during battle, allowing you to customize your team to suit your needs. - Skill learning system - each class has at least 6 different skills or spells to learn. - Over 80 different items, weapons and armor to collect. - "Completion Log" that tracks everything you collect, including a Bestiary. - 19 Quests (Achievements) that reward you with items, gold and equipment for completing objectives. - Arena with 4 incredibly powerful enemies to challenge. - Simple-but-effective crafting system with over 30 items, weapons and armor to create. - Save your progress anywhere. - Fast-paced turn-based battle system that displays the turn order on screen, powered by Yami's Charge Turn Battle system. - Approximately 2-5 hours of gameplay. Download: IMPORTANT NOTE: This game requires the JAPANESE RTP of RPG Maker VX Ace to play (the game itself is not in Japanese). You can download the Japanese RTP here: http://download.tkool-online.com/rtp/vxace_rtp100.zip GAME DOWNLOAD: http://tatsukitakatsuki.blogspot.com/2013/04/treasures-of-ilmoria-rank-e-demo.html Known Issues: - Sometimes the battle turn order icons will get messed up on the far-left side. It doesn't affect the ones that actually matter (since the next turns are on the far-right side of the list), but it does look kind of weird. Just ignore it, I guess. - If you press the cancel button on the main battle menu, it will snap back to the previous character in the list, allowing you to select a command when it isn't actually their turn. However, the command will not work... not yet, anyway. When their next turn finally comes around, they'll use the command you selected before. This might end up messing you up, so try not to do that. However, in order to escape from battle, you need to go back through the list until the Fight/Escape menu comes up, so only do that if you actually intend to try and escape. This is all a flaw with the battle system, and as I am not a scripter, I have no idea how to fix it. - The game starts up a bit slow. This is because it's initializing the midis. For some reason, VX Ace takes longer to load midis than mp3s...
  5. Game Title: BGFT: The James Lucas Story WARNING: This has the themes of an M rated game. It gets pretty raunchy at some points, and the language is consistently mature. Abstract: Hunt for Bigfoot. Get the girl. It's my first game ever made, aging from 2010. I touched it up a bit for an official release. Everyone who has played it seems to have loved it. Genre: RPG, Adventure Average Game Time: 45-60 minutes Story / Setting / Purpose: You live in a world where Bigfoot lurks every corner. People live in indifference from this creature whose very existence is debated. Step into the shoes of James Lucas, Bigfoot Hunter Extraordinaire. In a simple visit to his beloved, he ends up traveling across the hemisphere and perhaps the known universe to find the legendary creature. Experience a tale of love, adventure, and, most importantly, hope. Roam the lands of the unnamed world, ranging from forests to even a (seemingly) deserted island. Character Bios: James Lucas: The hero of his little story. James is unparalleled in Bigfoot research. When Gloria gets kidnapped, anything in his path becomes rubble. Gloria: James's love interest. She is royalty in James's home, and she is perfection in his eyes. Like James, she has an uncanny interest in Bigfoot. Wayne: Another Bigfoot expert. He is well known, along with his partner, Dallas. Together they have amassed literally tons of Bigfoot evidence that proves absolutely nothing. Dallas: Wayne's partner. They spent most of their lives documenting Bigfoot evidence. With James, they may have a shot at finally capturing the mythical Sasquatch. Charles: Having been convicted, his ties to James are a mystery. You'll have to play to find out! Bigfoot: ...? Credits: Artwork: Jables Bonefry Music: Blue Oyster Cult, Alien Ant Farm, Steppenwolf, Mladen Milicevic, Saliva, Linkin Park, Queen & David Bowie (original battle music by yours truly) Any other resources are RTP. Everything else besides that (story, mapping, etc.) was by me. Screenshots: Trailer: Features: Dog Transformation: Transform between canine and human form. At some point in his journey James becomes imbued with this skill. Dog form is useful for canine abilities that the human James would lack. Fun fact: I had no idea that Twilight Princess did this when I made this game. Bigfoot Call: What does every respectable Bigfoot hunter need? A trusty and believable call, of course! It may not always attract Bigfoot, but it may affect other things as well... Not responsible if Bigfoot interprets this as a mating call. If you look past that fact that it was made with RPG Maker VX, BGFT is an enjoyable adventure with all the hallmarks of an American classic in such a short amount of time. Quirky humor that would give this game a reputation akin to EarthBound. Celebrity appearances and pop culture references! No random encounters--all battles are boss battles. This ain't some cliché RPG where you want to save the world. The only thing in your eyes is Bigfoot. Download (RTP Included): http://www.mediafire.com/?1b4dxts0s90qopv Known Issues: None so far.

Resource Backlog #2 - Tiles Welcome to the second of the Backlog series of blogs. This time I'll be compiling all my older tiles and chipsets. Side view water tiles for cutoff. Closer to the RTP color scheme: One tile high shelves, roof to match the hut, window edits, boxes More tiles: Sideways stepping stones/path, recoloured barrel, well, chimney and windows. A1 and 2 tile edits/recolours Outer hut edit/recolour Stove edit, snowy stepping stones, string sign Created for a cartoonish game that never saw the light of day. Original 100% TileA4 Edits. For creepy places. Snow house (Square Igloo anyone?)
