    Winter - A Samurai tale

What you do when all your dreams are shattered? Personally I find that the stories behind works of art are almost as fascinating (sometimes more) than the work itself. If you think like me this little section where I tell a little the story of my life and why I decided to create this game could be interesting I would like to warn you that English is not my mother tongue and although I have made a great effort to correct all the mistakes, grammar has always been my Achilles heel. So I would thank if you can point me to any mistakes you find or phrases you think don't sound right. Thank you for your understanding and have a good game! https://laede-aveugle.itch.io/winter-a-samurai-tale

    The Mages Tower

Hi I'm Geo I'm making a game that's a mix of all my favorite kinds of games which includes features like: Monster collection, Roguelike randomization, STATS, STATS EVERYWHERE, complex turn-based strategy, Base building, extreme Hero and party customization, The Mages Tower is an ancient structure with many different biomes, creatures, and mages. It exists outside of the world but has doors that link to it. (Think Howls Moving Castle) You play as 1 of 8 characters who each have a unique backstory lending to their stats, starting items & their abilities. For Example, Althea, pictured below, was kidnapped 2 years ago by a mage who lived in the tower. He enthralled her using magic and she was forced to serve him until the effects of the illusions started to wane. She mustered enough self-control to poison the mage and free herself. Now, trapped in the labyrinth of the Mages Tower, she must try to survive and eventually escape. Althea starts with very little except the items she stole from her captor, the ability to craft poisons, and a 50% resistance to illusion magic. In battle, you fight with your Hero and 2 other monsters that you collect and customize with stats, items & skills. Right now there are over 250 creatures. I'm hoping to finish by early next year and release it commercially. Thnx 4 reading : )

    Datsville RPG

Abstract: Datsville RPG is based on the community LEGO project of the same name started in 1999. There is a Facebook page that talks about Datsville. Releases: My progress so far is mainly in getting the graphics working. The source 3D models need to be converted to POV-Ray format, rendered into images, and then cropped and imported into RPG Maker. A tech “demo” for the project is hosted on GitHub. There are no “releases” yet. You’ll need to download/clone the whole repository. You can find a high-res isometric render of the whole town here. There are only a few characters in the game “demo” at this time, mainly to help me figure out how to script events. Genre / Features: The game “demo” currently features a true-to-scale overworld map with separate combat encounter maps, and one simple scripted side-quest. Combat is going to be TRPG style, like Shining Force or Fire Emblem. Incorporating d20 rules somehow would be nice but is not mandatory. (I have already worked with d20 in a programming context in the past, and could re-use some of the code.) [Note: the latest RMMV “demos” for the project only include a single scripted combat encounter. The older VX Ace “demo” includes the overworld map and side-quest. The LeTBS “demo” for RMMV is not working correctly. The SRPG Engine MV version seems to working okay.] Game Progression: Linear, no branching narrative. Recruitment: I have no ideas for an overarching story at the current time. If someone were to join the project and contribute some story beats that would be awesome! Story / Setting / Premise: I don’t have much as of now. I haven’t written a story since High School! However, I want the RPG to start out in a contemporary residential or small town setting. Sci-fi and fantasy/occult elements will appear later on. I’m not sure yet how much combat there will be in the game. Thematically, I am aiming for something between between Earthbound (video game), Farscape (TV show), Alien Resurrection (movie), X-COM (video game), Independence War 2 (video game) and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (novel series). Sort of a semi-whimsical story involving aliens, deities, government agencies and possibly time travel, that concerns a rag-tag band of misfits who find themselves (unjustly) on the wrong side of local/global/galactic law and are seeking to clear their names. I would like it to be a “PG-13” or “Teen”-rated game. Maybe a couple of mild or cloaked drug and sex references. I would like to incorporate some of the original Datsville model designers as NPC “Easter eggs” in the game, with their permission. (There are already two such named NPCs in the game.) I’m not sure when this game is set, though. Late 20th century? Early 21st? Today? Dunno. Does the entire group travel through time? Character Bios: Here are the characters I’ve come up with so far. (From left to right, and top to bottom:) More than a few tropes. Owen, American, teenager or young adult, hero, maybe a typical anime “do-gooder”-type blank slate character, or a less narcissistic Bart Simpson/Zach Morris, I’m not real satisfied with this and may change him to something with an actual backstory, for instance maybe he’s a wimpy nerd/bookworm/orphan with glasses and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead (okay, I haven’t actually thought of anything interesting on my own, yet) Gabriel, Latin-American, small time thug/criminal, thief & barter & gambling, passionate and romantic, ties to criminal underground, in search of his lost significant other, melee & small guns & shotguns & knives Terell, African-American, hero’s best friend, martial artist, strong & athletic, physically adept, blunt melee & unarmed, musician/bard, gamer, kind of sarcastic/jerk, nerd about something (what?) The Doctor, former Eastern Bloc/USSR, science/chemist/medicine, heals stuff, somewhat of an intellectual elitist/snob, implied or openly gay Ingrid/Ursula, German, Technomancer, all things technical & computing, possibly connected at all times to a cyborg hivemind, pansexual/polyamorous including machine intelligences, two separate personality “programs”, high mechanical/physical strength, hacking and “cyber mage” (Sir) Sanford, British, late 19th/early 20th century big game hunter/officer/explorer, unwillingly transported through time, lots of anachronisms, “Fish Out of Temporal Water”, military officer training, tactician, highly optimistic & adaptable, but sometimes callous, tracking & long guns & explosives (need to come up with a name), rock star, vaguely “British” with links to Ancient Egypt, antiquity & pre-history, possible alien life form and/or minor deity, think Zaphod Beeblebrox or Spinal Tap, “bard” and mystic, can summon undead Esmée, British/French/Scandinavian?, ninja and spy/secret agent, access to government funds, gadgets, knives & small swords & small silenced guns, thief & rogue Skelly, not much is known about this guy, he was summoned by “Zaphod” and simply never left the group, maybe that makes him a “groupie”, also who was he when he was alive? … n. Need to keep brainstorming. Additionally: Jeff Stembel is the mayor of the Datsville. He always wears a bow tie and top hat. Offers some dumb quest. Brian Sauls owns and runs the apartment complex at the northwest end of town. He is looking for tenants. Story beats/themes: Falsely accused/mistaken identity: The group has been falsely accused of doing something they didn’t do. Don’t know what yet. Maybe they were mistaken for someone else. On the run: The group is on the run from a variety of members of authority. Local/global/intergalactic authorities. The whole shebang. One group of “enforcers” you battle with will be pretty similar to what you see in X-COM, including a possible cameo by some aliens. False motives/divided loyalties: Are the members of your group really who they seem to be? What are their real motives? Are they loyal to the group/hero or to another faction? Are members of other factions manipulating things from behind the scenes? Esmée’s professional loyalties. Esmée’s boss is also her father. Sanford’s loyalty to a once-great but now-diminished empire, and what it stood for. What are Ingrid/Ursula’s hivemind’s views on things? The Doctor is kind and generous, but also an ideologue. Terell is fiercely loyal, but also an ass. Time travel/cultural anachronism: 1. Sanford likes to trophy hunt, but hunting is not considered fashionable today. He holds what we would consider to be antiquated views on a variety of other subjects, as well. Yet, he remains upbeat and positive, and is well-liked by the rest of the group. 2. Skelly has been dead for God-knows-how-long. But he remembers virtually nothing from before he was summoned. Who was he, and what sort of life did he live before he died (the first time)? 3. “Zaphod” is an ancient being, and possibly immortal. What sort of experiences and wisdom does he bring with him from eons past? What are his actual motives? 4. Esmée and The Doctor seem like (and possibly literally are!) refugees/holdovers from the Cold War. Are they resurrecting/perpetuating old conflicts and fears into the present day and future for their own gain? 5. Ingrid/Ursula comes from a very “futuristic” society and culture. She brings with her ideas and mores that many of us would find radical and shocking. Does she represent mankind’s ultimate evolutionary terminus? Or, is our future not (yet, or at all) determined? The game will hopefully touch upon the subject of what it means to be a “fish” out of the “water” of time, including a trip or two through time together as a group. There won’t be any “causality loops” a la Back to the Future, though. Just possibly a couple of visits to alternate time periods while on the run. Lost/unrequited love: Gabriel is searching for his lost girlfriend/fiancée. Sanford left his wife behind in the past in England. Esmée loves another spy in secret. Did Skelly have a family when he was alive? Sanity: Ingrid/Ursula has two personalities and issues/conflict with hivemind. Unrequited love is also causing some group members issues. Mystery: What are “Zaphod’s” motives? What are Esmée’s faction’s motives and involvement in the plot? Tragedy: Not sure yet. Intellectualism: The Doctor and Terell are both very highly educated, but are also ideologues. Creativity: Terell and “Zaphod” are both musicians and performers. Terell formed his own school of martial arts. Spiritualism: The universe is full of needless complexity that acts to entrap people. The heart/love/simplicity are what matters. “Zaphod” is a mystic. Supernatural/occult: “Zaphod” can summon undead. Need to create a subplot for “Zaphod”. Friendship: Doubts and suspicions are voiced/raised at various points in the story, but everyone ends up being the very best of friends. Romance: No or only limited “shipping” among the aforementioned characters. Gabriel will eventually find his lost love. Not sure if I will create a love interest for Owen, or who that will be. Fun: Terell and “Zaphod” are musicians. Terell and Owen like gaming. Sanford likes to hunt rare and wild animals for trophies (as opposed to sustenance) but shouldn’t. Training/discipline: Esmée, Terell and Sanford spend a lot of time in training/preparation. “Zaphod” never trains for anything. Other: Redemption should be another major theme in the story toward the end. Not sure how, yet, other than that the group is struggling to clear its name after being falsely accused. Other members of the group may have other issues with the law that get resolved. Running gags: A dumb idea for a running gag is that one or more of the party members is secretly a scholar of some silly and arcane subject matter (the mating habits of spotted leopard toads, for instance) that at first seems totally useless, but ends up being a crucial source of information when the group finds itself in a pinch. This begins with The Doctor, where you kind of expect the subject matter to be nerdy given his high level of education and scientific expertise. It (maybe) ends with “Zaphod”–the most outlandish and mystical member of the group–incongruously having a mundane and ordinary subject matter of interest, such as plumbing or auto repair. The joke gets sillier and sillier (in a “Dad joke” sort of a way) with each iteration. Locations: The town hall is in the center of town across from the James Jessiman memorial. There are a cricket stadium, park and Buddhist temple in the northeast of town. A mosque lies to the southwest. I removed a chapel from the center of town because it is not a MOC and is therefore copyrighted by LEGO. I may re-add it. Outer Space Command and a plutonium storage facility are located on the south side of town. Tore Eriksson may have some story suggestions for this area… A shopping center lies to the north. An office complex and apartment building are in the northwest. There are two schools: a grade school and a high school. There used to also be a university, but it was an official LEGO model. An industrial area and airport are on the far west of town. The town has a police station, fire station, hospital and construction yard. Other locations, such as futuristic corridors, caves or wilderness, should be pretty easy to set up. Maybe even using procedural generation. Ashura Terminus

Ashura Terminus - Intro Disclaimer & Content Warning: This game intends to spark the player's thoughts as it challenges the player in more ways than one. It does provide comic relief and aims to be charming but will not be a bubbly fantasy game. Ashura Terminus will at some points show moral, visually provoking and violent scenes, all of it is a work of fiction. The author draws inspiration from mostly Shin Megami Tensei series, FF Tactics and Dragon Quest in terms of battle mechanics and how the story will "taste" like (also open to public opinions, would love to provide some special moments for everyone). The adventurers would never be ready for the events that were about to unfold from there, as their whole world was about to change forever, literally! MEDIA CHARACTERS Create your own Main Character and discover the other characters around the world. 16. Lewd New World; The First Quest Fantasy H RPG Game. Link to devlog / patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/annoyednpc Hello there! This is my DevLog post for my new game project; Lewd New World a PC/Android H game, story driven RPG, about finding your true self... and Monster Girls, with weekly updates! But who exactly I am? My name is Gagz, and I’m a UX Designer who REALLY love drawing and game design. My goal right now is making H Game Development for a living. I’ve worked on many games, but this is my first Solo Quest, the story of Daria and Rog, our protagonists, started as a fanart and I created a world around them, fell in love with it and HAD to make it a game. ~ The Story In a fantasy world filled with lustful creatures and Monster Girls, Dalia is a famous dancer at the local pub who wants to become a Paladin. Unfortunately the Paladin’s Guild wont allow a working girl to be a member. At the same time, Rog, an orc lady, is equally rejected in the Wizard’s Guild. Fate will reunite them and put ‘em in the right place at the right time. The town’s fuck boy is kidnapped by a dark mistress and the town in surrendered by an horde of, very sexy, creatures. The guard is busy keeping them at bay, so Daria and Rog offer themselves to rescue the boy. Could this unlikely duo be able to accomplish this quest, or the dark, slimy, tentacles of the dark creatures will take them down. ~ The World The lore and folklore of the game is currently being tune up. This world is, at the start of the game, in between two eras. A conservative rulers of tradition face the changing of times, and they will fight it as hard as they can. At the same time there's a new dark lord threaten all life. This different sides and overarching themes work as a backdrop for the story to unfold. I'm a believe that good stories are the ones that have consistency and good world building, that's why I'm taking the time to create a rich world for the game. And who knows, if everything work out I could make not only a sequel, but even other media related to this world, expanding it and make it more rich and deep. ~ Characters Daria (Darialyth) is the main character. She is an orphan who is in her late 20s who works in the local brothel / bar. She is extremely accomplish as a prostitute and her fame is known in the vicinities, but she wants to be a paladin (one rescue her when she was little) and hate that the church don’t allow sex workers to be one. She wants to change to be the first Lewd Paladin, and she’s willing to make a path with any God that will lend her strength. The Goddess Lust is the one who answers Daria’s call, but is that enough for the Church to admit her as a Paladin? Rog (Roghula ) is a young orc (40 years old in human years, but acts almost like a teeneger due to the slow growth of mythical creatures) who can do a little magic. However she doesn't want to be a shaman or a bard for the orcs army, she wants to be a full flagged wizard, as she has seen them on the battlefield and they looked like the most powerful warriors of all. The orcs mocked her but didn't stop her from going to the city of Wizard. If she can become a powerful wizard that's fine with them, as they only care for power. In the citadel the wizard puts her through the Trials of Magic, and she fails. But she suspected foul play, but when she made an official complaint and asked to be tested again she’s banned from the citadel. More characters bios coming soon! 19. Starcaller is a new Fantasy/sci-fi RPG adventure game focused on story and exploration. Browser based demo.. no downloads needed. All original pixel art and music score, and the rtp sound fx are being worked on as we speak to replace the default assets. We wanted to take a slightly different approach to retro RPG gaming. Gateway the introduction

Hi guys The concept for the game is a gateway appears in our world and the military goes through the gate into the other world. While there, the hero meets 3 girls who are from different races and each have their own backstory that will be shortly explained because the main story is about their journey although they may get a spin off game. The game that is currently in development is about the journey about finding out information on the region and setting up a base in one of the regions capitals. I have a demo for the concept of my game and I would like some feedback on it. You can find it here, https://drive.google.com/open?id=1og9MgLQbQtQEcP_4ANB7_NX9ulGk54Qo If you can please support me on my patreon and share it, I would appreciate it very much. https://www.patreon.com/TimsQuest?fan_landing=true If you want to work with me on this project then that would also be a big help. The first game is going to be 30min story and the rest will be side content and references. Once the game is completed then I'll work on the second one that will be longer and introduce new elements and I'll be doing this until the final game will be a sort of living world that inevitably... well you know the rest.😋 Credits go to all the default assests that come with the mv program. And me for putting them together in a certain way. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Best wishes. FrozenMelter.
  23. Hello everyone! 🤓 I am quite new here and i'm creating a new Game for Rpg-Maker MV, called "Fairy Tale", in German. I've been working on it for a looooooooooong time, and now I got sure that a need some help... Especially I have many questions about properties of Armor, Items, Weapon ans Skills. And so on. Well, I don't know how to put all the questions into one post... There are some: 1. For example: I choose a Longsword and gear it up. And I choose "15" for Attack. So why does the Hero always MISS the target? And that's with every Weapon... 2. Some maps are alright when you build them, but when you play, there are some tiles suddenly at wrong places. You get? Why is it messing? 3. I played Rpg Maker 2000, and there in the tileset-section, you can choose the "Square" for getting behind the tile. You know what i mean? Because in rpg maker mv you can't choose a "square". How to solve this problem?? THANK YOU for help, so far!!! 😙
  24. Hi there! For some time, I've been developing set of tools for RPG Maker MV, essentially the Quest Editor (not a wonder, cause title says the same). When I played with RPG Maker Engine for the first time, I've been surprised that such tool wasn't here yet, and decided it will be interesting try to create something like that and see if it will work out or not. So here it is. Flyfox.Quests & Quest Editor. Flyfox.Quests is a set of tools for RPG Maker MV. Its purpose is to help easily create complex quests and dialogues for your game. It includes plugin what you'll need to add to you game project and quest editor for creating your epic story with different choices and conditions. You'll need to follow 5 simple steps to get up and running: In you RPG Maker MV Project, mark events which will be participating in quests (this will require adding comment line). Those events will be your NPC's. Register Flyfox.js plugin with you game project and run game for the first time: this will generate all required metadata for Flyfox.Editor. Create new project in Editor and write you quest/quests. All NPC's marked in step (1) can participate. Export output file from Flyfox.Editor and place it in directory with your game. And... Done! Flyfox plugin will take care of everything else: tracking quests, saving game progress, displaying texts, choices, etc. You do not need to fill event pages or do some other work in RPG Maker MV Editor. Flyfox.Editor gives you easy to understand visual representation of your quest. It shows you "quest flow graph" (see screenshots) which is easy to edit and fill with data. Arrows points where player will go after making one or another choice. You can add new texts, choices, add different translations or variations based on choices players makes. And all of it – in one place. Also editor will show you unfilled fields or any logical errors. So here is some features: Simple and understandable quest graph. Ability to work with quests in one place. Your team's quest writer can now work as he/she wants using only Flyfox.Editor and nothing more. Great ability to customize you quest. Add any number of translations with couple mouse clicks, switch to any translation at any time. Change game flow based on player decisions with ease! Add parameters to your project and see how simple it is to write and manage different text variations. Comfortable UI interface to work with. Current version is 1.0b, which means many useful things are missing. Here is list of things I'd like to add: Customization of text/choice window via Flyfox.Editor. Automatic word wrap (Right now you can use external plugin for it or just break long lines into smaller ones). Variables and conditions. You will be able create global variables (for all NPC's to see) or local variables each quest or NPC. With this you can predefine some ranges and write text for echo one of them. Or add default 'fallback' text. For example, you can add global parameter 'hero anger' and set available choices or texts based on that. Or you can manage friendship between hero and different NPC's. There are unlimited possibilities. UI improvements. This includes not only updating visual design but also things that will improve usability. For example, hotkeys for working with lines and blocks (see tutorial about that), sorting lines with drag-and-drop, metrics and errors windows, additional navigation and more. Additional quest actions. We want to have ability do all sorts of things from our quests: give player reward, move, invoke custom script, set RPG Maker variable or trigger, invoke event pages, etc. For more information about available actions ("lines") see tutorial. Different ways to start quest. Right now you can start quest using default RPG Maker event action button ("Enter"). It will be good to have ways start quest while walking over quest NPC event, or when moving to certain distance from NPC or... You name it! "Multi-stages" (to learn more about stages, see tutorial). Thing is, right now to add NPC dialogue (interaction), you should add it to some quest stage. But what if you want to have same dialogue available for several stages, or even whole quest? Custom in-game quest progress window. Thing is, I would like to hear your opinion about it, like would such tool be useful in real-world projects, and if I should continue my work. I'm aware that you can't create complex cutscenes this way, though I've got some ideas about it (for example, defining cutscene in separate event, and then calling it from Flyfox. This way we'll be able separate quests & texts from events). The idea is to create tool that will be fun and easy to use, and also allowing rich capabilities. So I hope I'll get some nice feedback here AI Plugin There is another plugin I've been working on, but it's not quite finished. It's called Flyfox.AI and it's purpose is create enhanced AI. It will help you create immersive towns and villages living on their own: citizens walking and chatting and sleeping, traders selling their stuff and working in shop, waitresses serving customers, bandits robbing at night... This plugin was inspired by Skyrim AI system. Though it has many flaws, it still provides good immersion into game world. Most RPG Maker games don't have any of that. It's frustrating for me launch a game and see lifeless NPC, stuck forever in one place. Thing is, I've decided that i'll rather finish my work with Quest Editor before continuing work on AI plugin, but I also decided not remove any AI-related code from plugin yet, so if you'll see it, don't be afraid! (That code isn't so bad though) Downloads & Demos Here you can download Editor app (requires .Net Framework 4.5) and flyfox.js plugin. Flyfox.Editor 1.0b Flyfox JS plugin And here is "Getting started" tutorial
  25. As dwarves are supposed to become a big race in my game, Renryuu, I've hired a pixel artist to make generator parts and allow for a big amount of different dwarves to be made. I used to have big problems finding graphics for dwarves usable in the RPG Maker MV, that's why I'm making these parts publicly available and help out everyone with the same problem. Most of the parts are made by the artist VanillaBrocker himself, but some are edits of the default parts. The default clothes also work pretty well on the smaller dwarves in most cases. This is only the first upload. Brocker works on more parts, so I'll update the post every now and then, until I have enough parts and stop the commissions. Non-commercial projects can use and edit all parts, as long as they give credit to Naughty-Netherpunch and the artist VanillaBrocker. Commercial project can also use all all parts, but depending on the project might be asked to add a link to my blog or patreon page in some way. Please contact me here or per mail at naughty-netherpunch@web.de for details and permission. Reposting on other sides is allowed, as long as the requirements for commerial and non-commercial projects are mentioned Example characterset: So far the set contains: 1 Helmet in 3 variations 2 Beards 1 Dwarf body shape 2 Face shapes 1 Custom made armor 2 Ears 8 Eyebrows 6 Eyes 3 Facial Marks 2 Front hair 2 Rear hair 3 Mouth 2 Noses If you use the RPG Maker MV in steam, you can find the generator folder at Steam\SteamApps\common\RPG Maker MV\Generator. Should you already have a part with the same number as the one I gave the part, you can change the number behind the "p" (for example here: FG_AccA_p02_c1_m013) to one higher than the highest you currently have. Just remember to change the number to all different versions of the part (Face/TV and Variations) to the same number Special notes: The face image of the Helmet is given in 3 different color patterns. You can pick your favorite and remove the -a/b/c at the end, or give them 3 different numbers and use all of them. I haven't seen any way to change the body shape yet, so the TV image TV_Body_p02 needs to be changed to p01 and replace the default male body in order to be used. Of course, you should rename the default body first, to change all back afterwards. You can find the .zip file with all parts in the attachments of this post, or you can download them at: MEGA Mediafire Dwarves generator parts v1.zip
