This is also my way of saying thank you to Hatsune Miku (Or in this game, Hayane Yukari) for being a bridge for me to get here at the first place. That's why this game is going to be released on the 31st or August on her 6th birthday. I'm aiming on quality for this game, it shall take longer than that. This project is a serious one now for me. You asked us to tell our world, I shall do so now. I shall do my best to present the message.- 16 replies

Life in Different Worlds I: Driftborn
Tangerine Games posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Life In Different Worlds I: Driftborn Genre: Open - world RPG, combat - less Game Progression: Mapping is 10 % complete and eventing is 5% complete. Recruitment: I'm looking for a designer to design a map for game guides and the 'fast travel map'. Please PM me for more details. Story / Setting / Purpose: The game is an open world RPG with no set main storyline, it depends on the choices you take at certain points within the game. Most side quests are fairly large and there are several guilds and factions each with their own storyline and quests. The game is entirely combat-less and has a large focus on Alchemy and Crafting which tie into many different quests. Character Bios: The character is completely customizable and the choice of character does not affect the storyline except the choice of Birthsign (Class) will grant special bonuses in certain skills. Credits: Enterbrain Jet (Jet's Notebook Script) Galv (Item/Bank Storage) Vlue (Time & Climate Script) Mr Bubble (Crafting System) Celianna (Parallax and Standard Tilesets) Aindra (Tilesets) Screenshots My other two refuse to upload so you can view them on my photobucket: http://s1197.beta.photobucket.com/user/RyanWhitman/library/ Features: To do: -
Return to Stonehenge Playable Demo Available for download at: http://returntostonehenge.tumblr.com/ Abstract: With the boundaries between timelines and dimensions thrown into chaos, will you be able to get to Stonehenge before your other selves? Genre: Fantasy/Sci-fi RPG Game Progression: Chapter 1 is completed and ready for testing. Consider it a demo of the combat/storyline/levels and an alpha for feedback. Chapter 2 and beyond are in development, news can be found at my blog. Recruitment: Sprite/Tile/Background artists, skilled scripters, composers Story / Setting / Purpose: Return to Stonehenge is not your typical fantasy RPG. This game blends settings from deep space, to present day cities, to medieval castles in the distant past, sometimes even within the same level. This world is a screwy one, but here’s the premise as it is at the moment: This story revolves around one man, the High Chief of the most sacred Druidic clan. The fate of the universe veered drastically off course the day he used the power of Stonehenge to try and communicate with the gods of nature. The ancient energies of that site far predated his clan and far outpaced his feeble understanding of it. Consequently, the borders between dimensions were torn, and time was turned on its head. Now, dimensions are streaming into and out of existence, seemingly at random, and time skips and jumps, running in opposite directions from moment to moment. The man seeks to right the chaos he unleashed on the world, though he doesn’t know how. Through his travels and adventures, he encounters himself from other dimensions and times, and is terrified at what he learns. These other selves have been leading journeys of their own, some amassing great power. While some use that power for good, others seek dominion over the other dimensions, and still others want to destroy the foreign dimensions and timelines, dooming all the inhabitants within. The end they seek to accomplish their goals with is always the same, to harness the power of Stonehenge. But there’s just one problem: no one can find it. Return to Stonehenge unfolds as each of the parallel selves of our protagonist vie with each other in the search for the lost site, discovering their pasts, futures, power, and part in this cosmic mess. Chapter 1: In Chapter 1 you will find yourself controlling Roger. Roger has been sent to a time before he remembers his mission by another self of his. This fiery antagonist seeks to lure the unsuspecting man into a trap and kill him, for who knows what dastardly goal. You will notice that something odd is happening in this land. Even the wildlife is becoming hostile as the fabric of existence is torn and mended to meet some dark intent. Chapter 2-X: Major ideas are in play, main story for Ch. 2 mostly worked out, specifics coming soon! Character Bios: Roger: Roger is a cast of characters in and of himself. At the very beginning, he was one man, a druidic priest. But since the melding of dimensions, other Rogers have come into play with varying backgrounds, powers, and goals. In the first chapter, you will encounter four separate Rogers, two seemingly evil, one enigmatic, and the other, your character, an average dad with some weaponry skills. Throughout the various chapters you will play different Rogers with different stories that all manage to tie in with other timelines, characters, and dimensions. The overarching goal of each, though, is to find Stonehenge before the others, and either undo the damage, or use its power to destroy further. Lillith: One of the recurring characters is Lillith, Roger's wife. Lillith is a Wiccan attuned to the powers of nature and balance, and in many dimensions, has amassed considerable power. Her motivations are the same in each instance, to help Roger undo the damage he has caused to the universe. She is brave and fair, and always wishes to see evil punished, even if her star-crossed lover Roger is behind that evil. Steven: One of the most important Rogers to the story isn't named Roger at all, but rather Steven. Steven changed his name when the unthinkable happened: someone with his exact likeness simply appeared in his world, murdered his wife Lillith, and cut a swath of destruction on his way to seek Stonehenge. This man, him from another dimension, sabotaged his entire existence in order to quell competition for the henge, and get closer to it by any means necessary. Because of this, he changed his name to Steven and vowed to help undo the damage being wrecked upon unsuspecting dimensions. He set out that day to save the Lillith of any dimension he encountered, and stand up against the evils his alter egos were hatching. Side Characters: Throughout each chapter, you will encounter major characters that will be specific to that Chapter. For example, in chapter one you will meet and possibly enlist the help of Petunia, an outcast shapeshifter, and Chuck, a lost dog in the woods. Each of these characters plays a big part in getting you through that chapter's modular story, but probably won't continue on into other chapters. In each case, they will have their own strengths and fears for you to contend with. Credits: Huge thanks to all the authors of public scripts I've borrowed, this game wouldn't be possible without all their hard work: Yanfly - Ace Battle Engine, HP Bars, Target Manager, Skill Cost Manager, Ace Equip Engine, Region Battle Backs, Victory Aftermath, Anti-fail Message, State Animations, Stop All Movement, Ace Item Menu, Weapon Attack Replace, Menu Cursor, System Options, Ace Message System Tsukihime - Text Input Kread - No Log modern algebra - Drop Ranks Also, very special thanks to all of my friends who have spent countless hours helping me test, develop game mechanics, and think up a wonderful story, especially Drew and Denise. Screenshots And Video: More are available at my blog! Chapter 2 First Zones Preview: Forest Level: Shrine: Boss with a couple battle mechanics active: Features: Responsive Battles - This game won't allow you to simply go through trading auto attacks with enemies and succeed. There are various mechanics that promote single target focusing, spread damage, playing defensively, passing a turn strategically, pooling mana for heals, and many more. The idea was to take some of the best combat ideas from various games of all genres and adapt them to a turn based RPG. The result has been described as "a WoW raid if it were turn based" and "Pokemon on roids". Quests - You won't be moving linearly through level after level (minor exception for Chapter 1 which is sort of linear, but meant as a kind of tutorial), but will instead encounter various quests that require you to think, explore, and complete actions before you can advance. Secrets - There are a ton of secrets hidden throughout the world, some much harder to find than others. In every case, finding these secrets will grant your characters a benefit, and can make all the difference in beating that enemy or losing. This game rewards you for exploring and being aware. Compelling Story - Return to Stonehenge already has an awesomely vivid storyline in store. This chronologically jumbled adventure will leave you intrigued by mystery, picking your jaw up off of the floor after carefully planned twists, wiping away tears, and marveling at insights into previous chapters you've played. The various intertwined characters of Return to Stonehenge, and the world they inhabit will come to life in a stunning and deeply entertaining way. Much more insight and info can be found at Return to Stonehenge's blog! Thanks for reading, I really appreciate everything this community has provided me to make this game. I hope to hear back from you soon. -Michael

Slme
Meanapple posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Hi I'm Meanapple and I want to make a game called Slme. It's sort of an RPG but without fighting and I guess no bosses since I don't know how to script or do anything advanced. The Game: It's basically about to avoid obstacles. You have 5 Hearts and lose 1 for touching enemys or dangerous environment. You won't fight once in the whole game like in other RPGs. You are also not able to go into the menu. I would like to add bosses and additional stuff, like special abilitys but I'm not sure if something like that will make it into the game. So its basically an arcade game that you play for a short fun time. Story: It's about a red slime called Robby who found himself in a forest after a night of drinking to much bubble soda. He finds grey blobs who begin to attack/hurt him when he touches them. Those blobs are grey because of a evil genius who wants to take over the world (blablabla). The grey minions proceed to swarm the whole land including Robbys hometown. His wife Liny also got captured but not for long. Now that their hometown is flooded with minions the slime duo has to find a new town to live in, which is harder than thought... Characters -The Main character is Robby, a red slime. He is adventurous and has a quite strange character. He has a strong protective instinct for his wife. He is married with Liny. -The second Main character is Liny, a orange slime. She is less adventurous than Robby and aggressiv when provoked. She also loves dogs and even bought one but he died the day later for an unknown reason. She is married with Robby. -The Protagonist is a black slime with a grim look. Nothing much is known about him but he seems to be the cause of the minion invasion. Screenshots: An image from the first stage. You can heal yourself up at those water sources, beside that is a book on a table. You can save your game by clicking on it. These are the grey slimes. They are dump and have no will or character. This is the evil protagonist. Just an additional Screenshoot. Credits: I made the art, dialog and story by myself. All sounds and the GUI are default recoures from RM. Download: If you are interested in this game you can play this early alpha: Media Fire Download Please leave Feedback about this game. Also if anyone could help me, I would like the life bar to be shown in the right upper corner the whole time but I don't know how to do that. -

Working on this project for the last 6 months on and off (as time allows), I feel it is to the point where I can confidently announce it (without it being looked at as vaporware). Yes, this is my first project and even though I have dabbled in RPG Maker over the years (dating back to 95), I have never actually dedicated the amount of time to one as I have this one. Maybe it's because of what VX Ace offers, or maybe its because I've learned how to plan out a project so I actually finish it. Either way, I pride myself on perfectionism and attention to detail, so I more than welcome constructive criticism, suggestions, and compliments. I hope to have a playable demo available in the next month or so as I wrap up the balance, database, and enemy encounters. You can follow my progress more intimately, see how the game has changed since the beginning, and even watch a couple (bland) YouTube videos I have posted for it on my blog at: BesusProductions.com Anyhow, without further adieu... Just over a thousand years ago, humans were seen as the superior species on the planet, however their physical limitations held them back. Because of this, Idol’s (the guardians of the planet Vole) helped to aid their physical shortcomings by granting them Enchantment. Using Enchantment, humans were able to accomplish tasks that were either too difficult, or downright impossible to accomplish physically. For decades, humans thrived from these powers. However after a rebel group began to abuse these powers, the Idols thought it would be best to take it away from everyone before more began to abuse them. Now, two-thousand years after Enchantment was taken away, humans go about their lives as normal; often yearning for the days they had those powers. Shortly after these abilities were taken away, the Idol island of Graven fell from the sky. Little is known regarding why, but when the island fell, it took all traces of Enchantment with it. Lately rumors have begun circulating that Enchantment may still be present on the planet. This has caused some excitement throughout the world and caught the attention of Armor. Because of this, Armor’s entire focus has gone toward re-discovering this lost power, changing the once-respected organization in to a common enemy of the people they once protected. Armor’s obsession will soon lead them to find out just how powerful Enchantment is; and what repercussions pursuing that power will have on them and the planet of Vole. Sideview, ATB-based combat system. Ability to chain skills together for one long combination of attacks. No random encounters! Enemies chase or flee from you based on your level. No "walls of text" throwing countless story elements at you. Everything is shown through cutscenes. Still fine-tuning gameplay aspects, so other features may find their way in to the game. Alright, so this is quite an ambitious project that I've got in the works. As the title implies, this is going to be a fresh installment to the Legend of Zelda franchise and I want it to feel as authentic as possible! I plan on including many features from previous Zelda titles in terms of equipment and puzzle solving, with some pretty epic boss battles to boot. So here I go with the details. __________________________________________________________ Story __________________________________________________________ As with previous Zelda games, the general story will be kept quite simplistic. Here is the outline for the whole opening sequence: Link and his best friend, Fado, have finally been initiated into the Kaepora Tribe and are ready to head out on their first mission. Along with the tribe leader, Talon, they travel to the village of Windfall to help them deal with some Bandits who prey on both villagers and travellers alike. The trio infiltrate the caves that have become the Bandits hideout and succesfully drive them out. However, their victory leads to the discovery of a mysterious sword. Fado, greedy as he is, decides to take this sword as a reward for their victory. Talon disapproves of this but, before he could do anything about it, Fado promptly turns on his two companions and knocks them both unconscious before making his escape. Upon awakening, Link and Talon make their escape from the caves and return to the Kaepora Settlement only to find many of their tribe injured. "It was Fado," one of them says. "He didn't quite seem himself, so we thought you ran into trouble. We went to help him but he attacked us. We couldn't stop him." The Kaepora warrior proceeded to explain how Fado took two others with him and went out to Hyrule fields. "This is terrible," said Talon before turning to Link. "Link, I fear there is far more to this than we are seeing. I would like you to go to Hyrule Castle and send word to King Daltus. He needs to know what has transpired this day. Take Epona with you, she will get you there swiftly." __________________________________________________________ Characters __________________________________________________________ The Kaepora Tribe - A mixed-race tribe who worship the wise owl Kaepora Gaebora; they are also strong believers of the Hero of Legend. Trained as warriors, most adopt similar garb to that of the Hero. However, they wear brown as opposed to green to represent their ties with Kaepora Gaebora. They believe that one day, one of them will prove worthy enough to assume the role of the Hero and go on to accomplish great things. Link - A young lad who has only just been initiated into the warrior ranks of the Kaepora Tribe. He is kind-hearted and strong. Fado - Link's best friend. Fado can be mischievous and greedy a lot of the time. Like Link, he too has only just been initiated into the warrior ranks of the Kaepora Tribe. He seeks to travel the land in search of rare and valuable treasures so that one day he might be the richest person in the whole of Hyrule. While he is greedy, he would never go so far as to steal or hurt anyone. Talon - The leader of the Kaepora Tribe, Talon is a great warrior with a noble heart. However, he rarely goes out on missions anymore. He has pretty much sunk into the role of being the tribe's Elder, despite him only just reaching beyond his prime. The tribe look to him for guidance more than anything. He has a soft spot for Cuccoos, and plans to set up a ranch some day. At the best of times he can be quite lazy, however, often leaving the tending of the animals to his daughter Malon while he naps. Malon - Talon's daughter. While trained as a warrior with the tribe, she very rarely goes out on missions with them. It is rarer still for her to even raise a blade towards another. However, she is still extremely valuable to the tribe. She is great with animals, and spends most of her time at the Kaepora Ranch tending to the goats, horses and she even breeds Cuccoos. Always cheerful, Malon's presence usually cheers those who are feeling sad and calms those who are angry. Happy Mask Salesman - A mysterious individual who has recently set up shop in Windfall Village. Villagers note that he is constantly smiling, except for those occasions where someone would express interest in a mask only to claim they don't have enough rupees, in which case he appears to show 'the rage of a demon'. No one knows why he has set up shop in Windfall, as his odd behaviour has always averted any customers. King Daltus Hyrule - King of Hyrule. (More will come later) Princess Zelda - Daughter of King Daltus. (More will come later) __________________________________________________________ Locations __________________________________________________________ Hyrule - The land this game is set in. It consists of many locations such as Windfall Village, Ralis Coast, Hyrule Castle and Hyrule Castle Town. (I will update this as progress is made with the game!) Kaepora Settlement - The Kaepora Tribe's current encampment. This is one of their more long-term settlements, so they have began farming and renovating. It is situated in the south east of Hyrule, just off Ralis Coast. An abandoned country house makes its only landmark. Ralis Coast - A sandy beach reaching up the eastern coast of Hyrule. It is home to many creatures, both friendly and hostile. There are the Zoras who live beneath the ocean and the Watararas who live up on the cliffs in Windfall Village. Bandits have recently been preying off anyone who travels this stretch of land. Windfall Village - Home of the Watarara, Windfall Village is situated up in the cliffs near the southern end of Ralis Coast. Despite its population almost wholly consisting of the Watarara, the people of Windfall have established good relationships with all races and are welcoming to all who visit providing they don't get up to mischief. Hyrule Castle and Castle Town - Situated in the center of Hyrule, this is where the Royal Family have always lived. It is also the center of commerce for the whole land. Castle Town is busy at all times of the day, providing conveniences and entertainment for all. __________________________________________________________ Races __________________________________________________________ There are a wide variety of people who live in Hyrule. For the most part, these races live in harmony with one another and often trade with or even befriend one another. Hylians - Hylians form the majority of the population of Hyrule. They are distinguished for their elfin-like features, namely their pointy ears. The Royal Family are all Hylian, and most of those who live in Castle Town are also Hylian. Most jobs they take on are as Merchants, Bartenders and Farmers. While most Hylians live in or close to Castle Town, there are some who live in all corners of Hyrule. Watarara - Formerly a migratory race, the Watarara eventually decided to settle down and so they founded Windfall Village. They are bird-like in appearance; sometimes being mistaken to be of relation to the Rito. However, the Watarara look much more like birds than the Rito do. They often take on jobs as Couriers, as their ability to fly enables them to travel across Hyrule far more quickly than on horseback. Unlike the Hylians and the Zora, they do not have royalty. Instead, they elect for a leader every few years. A Watarara leader can serve many terms, provided he or she remains in favour of their people. Rito - Another race of bird-like creatures. (This may be updated at a later stage, as I currently don't know if they will even feature in my game.) Zora - An aquatic species. The Zora are shaped similarly to the Watarara and Hylians, although they adopt more fish-like characteristics such as growing fins. They can live in both freshwater and saltwater, although some prefer the former more than the latter. Like the Hylians, Zora have a royal bloodline. Their Kings and Queens are often distinguished for being extremely large. Gorons - A race of rock-like creatures. Typically, they live up in mountains ranges, but some can be seen travelling around Hyrule as traders or even as adventurers. They live in different tribes, overseen by their elders. Out of all the races, the Gorons are the most suspicious of outsiders as they prefer to keep themselves secluded. __________________________________________________________ Screenshots [uPDATE!] __________________________________________________________ Please note that these screenshots aren't much to look at right now. Currently it's just a quick peak at a couple of maps and what sort of gameplay I plan on incorporating. These don't reflect on how this game will actually look, as there are a great many things I intend to change and/or add in my project. New Old __________________________________________________________ Credits __________________________________________________________ Sprout - Of FinalFantasyForums.net, for helping me out loads in terms of padding out the story and the events that will be portrayed in this game. Nastasia, LeonMurayami, Abdiel, Deebs, The Welsh Paddy, FenixFyreX and Makapri - For some truly fantastic sprites which have massively cut down on the amount I have to make myself. Vandie and Scroll Master Gizmo - For some really kick-arse icons that will be revealed soon. Mack, Cellianna, Ayene and Khas - For some beautiful tilesets that make for some incredibly awesome mapping. Tsukihime, Nicke, Falcao, Yanfly, Galv, Yami, DP3 and Pyro17 - For a wide selection of scripts that have seriously helped towards making this project feel like a truly authentic Zelda game. Enterbrain - Needless to say; for RPG Maker and all the RTP graphics that are used in this project. Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka and Nintendo - For serving as the catalyst for this project. __________________________________________________________ I will be updating this very soon with some screenshots, maps, plus more details on everything as I progress through this. [image created by Lord Scalgon] A game solely created by Lord Scalgon...without any actual help at the moment. VERSION CHANGES: INTRODUCTION: After playing ridiculously hard games like Touhou and fan-made games like I Wanna Be The Guy, I had a thought for a long time about developing my own series of hard/ridiculously hard puzzles, so I decided to create this game. Not suited for those who have inadequate visual skills as this requires deep strategizing in order to advance to next puzzles. I did purposely make the first couple levels in the first series of puzzles easy just so others can acquire the feel to solving puzzles. I’ll be available to answer any question regarding any puzzle, but don’t expect me to give out a straight-up solution to a certain area, but all my advices regarding to these will involve further hints. STORY: Honestly, I originally didn’t intend to make a story for this, since this game is made purely in puzzles. There is dialogue with only one antagonist (whom is the creator of the puzzles), but it may or may not be temporary. Maybe in the future, I’ll eventually end up with an actual story…I don’t know…but for now, let’s leave it as “there is no storyâ€. CHARACTERS: GAMEPLAY: FEATURES: Over 30+ puzzles to solve (ok, not really, but this has yet to become a reality…I only made 10 actual puzzle levels so far) Unique puzzles and challenges ranging from polarities to channeling to advance further. Boss puzzles Actual boss fights in puzzles (it’s like fighting in a gladiator arena, though it’s done in the map phase, much like Secret of Mana, entire system done by me, only the collision script is used the entire time) Mini-games (only one implemented as of now, will need more time on this) Achievement system (not implemented, yet) There are four levels in one series, each with a respective theme (though only the first two series are made). The themes so far: Level 1: None Level 2: Cave Level 3: Fire Level 4: Ice Level 5: Water Level 6: Dark Level 7 (final): ??? Level 8 (bonus): ??? (complete all secret levels to unlock the final series) KNOWN BUGS: Few maps tend to lag. Most likely due to massive usage of events. MUSIC USED: SCRIPTS USED: SCRIPTS ORIGINALLY USED (but removed): CONTROLS: LEGEND: Blue Crystal – Save Point (you cannot save once you progress in a puzzle) Red Crystal – Information (may offer helpful advice) Purple Crystal – ??? (it’s a mystery…for now) Treasure Chest – Exit access. You have to open these to finish every puzzle barring secret levels. Opening a treasure chest in the secret level is an absolute mystery. Be advised that certain treasure chests may be a trap, but will not impact you from completing the level, unless you horribly screw up. Magic Circle – Exit (advances to the next level) MINI-GAMES: Also, a word of advice, expect any unexpected surprise to occur. At first, certain areas may seem normal, but you just might run into some imperative scenario. SCREENSHOTS: FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions): Q: I need help with “this part†of a puzzle? Any advice? A: I’ll only provide hints, that’s all. Q: Am I allowed to upload puzzle attempts in your game on YouTube? A: While I do not recommend it, go right ahead. There may be others who could be stumped anyway, but there’s those who prefer a challenge to themselves by solving without any help whatsoever. Q: There’s a bug and/or exploit in your game, what should I do about it? A: You can either post in this thread or leave a private message. Q: Can I ask for help on solving puzzles in here? A: Go for it. There could be others in here that may help you solve puzzles in a way. Q: How do I access a secret level? A: Find a special green lever. There is only one in each series of puzzles. Q: Is it necessary to complete the secret level? A: No, it’s optional. The main goal is to reach the treasure chest. Just don’t die in those levels because if you do, you don’t get a mulligan. You just advance to the next regular level. Q: Why are the level layouts so basic? A: This game was never intended to be a real RPG game, so I made this game a bit different. For a typical game that specializes mostly on puzzles, this fits perfectly. Q: Can I help with/contribute to your project? A: While additional help isn’t really necessary, I wouldn’t really mind having a number of helpers, but at least they will be credited should they lend a hand to my game (with playtesting/ideas/suggestions/whatever). So yeah, feel free to if you want, and I’ll be sure to credit you…and maybe create a puzzle in honor of your contribution somewhere in the future…if this game becomes complete, that is (which I hope I can at some point). DOWNLOAD LINK: Click here to download. (v1.06, w/ RTP) Or click here to download if you already have RTP. (v1.05, w/out RTP) CREDITS: Cidiomar Yanfly CONTACT INFO: lordscalgon@yahoo.com AIM: Divinegon Alpha Yahoo: lordscalgon@yahoo.com MSN: lordscalgon@hotmail.com There may be possible bugs if one is to playtest my game, but if there is any, inform me, and I'll get to it. Also, if you do happen to playtest, expect to be trolled. Although on levels 3-1 and beyond, massive trolling in puzzles will ensue (e.g. random flames unexpectedly appear from out of nowhere and burn you, causing you to restart the same puzzle from the beginning). Unfortunately, I'm currently working on those levels, so they are unavailable at the moment.

Rune Seekers
RufusBeta posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Genre: RPG, Sci-Fi Game Progression: Pretty much done with all the concept and several other things. About 30%. (60% for the demo) Story : The continent of Grahm. In a world created inside a dimensional rift, the people of Grahm have learned to live with the unexpected. It all began with the arrival of the Runes. But, what are the Runes? No one knows for certain, and the only man who has dared to uncover the truth, dissappeared jsut before his job concluded. Many aeons have passed, and several civilizations have been born and died. But the last kingdom of the Grahmians still clings to the flame of faith, while the rift slowly devours all existence into the void. Grahm is known in many worlds as "the crossroad", the place where all the worlds are bound. Characters : Maximillian (Maxim) Della-Croix The main protagonist. Some say that he is the bastard son of the current emperor. Others say that he is the son of a demon with a woman. The truth is that very little is known about him, and the little that is known is well kept in secret. He never talks about his past, propably because even him can't remember clearly. But he is closely tied to the Runes, and that is something even he can't hide. Eliza Damrosch Maxim's Sister. She was raised in an underground magic infusing facility near the Orinda Caves. The magic infusing process dyed her hair with a silver color, and her eyes with a bright red. As a teenager, she lost her magickal powers, so she was sent to the Darkstone Training Grounds, where she became a gunslinger. Several years later, she was reunited with her brother at the same place. Other characters are still pending while I make the sprites for them. Features : Final Fantasy styled game, class system, bestiary, lots of sidequests, (maybe) time related events/quests, a lot of references and/or cameos from a lot of other games. Credits : Scripts: Yanfly (Core Engine, Message System, Class System, and many of the menus) Yami (Yami Engine Symphony - Battle Symphony) GDS (Picture Menu, Ultimate Parallax) Tomy (KMS Cursor Animation - Translation by Mr. Bubble) Galv (Menu layout) Khas Arcthunder (Pixel Movement) Melosx (Title Skip) Hanzo Kimura (Valkyrie Stories Animated Title) Tsukihime (Map saver - for creating parallax maps) NOTE: I'm still trying some other scripts, so credits will be added as game development continues. NOTE2: Almost every script is customized in some way, but only minor changes that are barely noticeable. Screenshots : Maxim's Concept Eliza's Concept Main Menu (WIP) Dialogs from the intro AUTHOR'S NOTE I tried to keep everything as spoiler-free as possible. If there are some grammar mistakes, please be nice and tell me, because english is not my native language. If the images are too big, let me know so I can put them in /spoiler -

Hirion: an ordinary beautiful world filled with joy and prosperity. Everything seems to be perfect in this place; the people live long and peaceful lives and there hasn't been any war for as long as anyone can remember. However, in the mysterious Eternal Void, a place that brings balance to the world, something terrifying is about to happen. You have been summoned there to uncover whatever secrets it holds and to find out what's going on... A customized ABS (Active Battle System) to enjoy and will bring a unique experience. Solve intriguing puzzles to uncover ancient secrets. Watch out for deadly traps and monsters as you explore. Discover and use exciting items, weapons and skills to advance on your journey. A resurrection option which will revive your character but at the cost of some experience and gold. As you level up you will gain points to customize your attributes. This game feature no party (you are the main character) and therefore you can't rely on any allies. A Lizards Journey
jinxednightshade posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Story / Setting / Purpose: *The story is about a Lizard named Vio who wakes up to find himself stranded on an island with no memory of where he came from or who he is. After waking up Vio explores the island to find that it's under a curse by someone or something known as the Puppet Master. You're goal is to travel around the Island to lift the multiple curses that the Puppet Master has spread out, and to regain you're memory to who you are and where you are from. The setting is based off Links awakening while also throwing in some dark humor, symbolism, and a story that could lead you to different paths. The NPC's are a mix race of anthropormorphic animals and humans. Character Bios: *The main character so far is the violet haired lizard named Vio. Not much is known about him until each boss is defeated and gives you a hint as to who he really is. Credits: The tilesets and graphics I am using are owned by: Luna. Celianna, and a few others I would have wrote down but lost the refference folder... if anyone notices any tiles or graphics belonging to someone, let me know so I can add that in the description. Audio is done by Yusaku Kishigami, Gyrowolf, Aaron Krough, Snobodies. The bosses in the game are photoshopped pieces of sprites and tiles to fit the games setting and atmosphere. Scripts: Pearl, Khas, Mog, Jamiras843. Screenshots: Features: The game is built using Falco Pearls ABS system, the gameplay is similar to that of a birds eye view battle system. Abjects such as grass, plant's and tree's can be chopped to gain seeds, and fruite to restore you're health a little. There are tools such as a lantern, bow, bombs, hookshot, and hammer. Eaxch tool specifically used for certain obsticles that block you're path. The player will get a full feel of the overworld after the first dungeon and boss fight. There will be lots of back tracking and puzzle solving, along with various missions to gain clues on where to go. When each curse is lifting depending on an area new quests and story will be avaialble. The game will feature 3 endings. The psuedo ending, the good ending, and the true ending. The game will not have demo ready until my grammar nazi testers bring me a full report of what I need to fix etc. So for now I just wanted to share this project and get a little feedback, this is the first time ever I have shared this project to others and it's the first project I have been sticking to for a year now. -
Okay, so I've had this idea for a trilogy of Star Wars games in my head for a while now. Only just now did I get the small resource I needed to even start working on the game, so big thanks to Leo-Aka for making me the generator parts I needed. Anyways, the game doesn't have a demo at the moment, and since this game is much shorter then the other game I'm working on, I won't be posting one until I have the whole game completed. STORY It has been 300 years since the events Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The galaxy is in a state of peace, with a majority of the systems in the known galaxy being ruled over by the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. The Jedi Knights have separated from their original duty of protecting the government by becoming a wholly independent organization that exists to protect the people of the galaxy. Recently though, Jedi Knights have been forsaking the Jedi Order for a ramshackle group of Dark Jedi that seeks to bring the Dark Side back to being the ruling force. Meanwhile, a young and newly appointed Jedi Master has been scouting Dantooine as a possible location for a new Jedi Praxeum. On her return trip to Tython, she has a vision that predicts the return of the Sith to the galaxy. Just as she tries to discuss the vision with the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, the passenger shuttle she is on is pulled out of Hyperspace by an ancient Imperial Interdictor Cruiser. The following chain of events leads to the shuttle crash landing on the planet and Gabrielle being the only survivor. Heavily injured and with no way off of the planet, she quickly discovers that she is being hunted by Dark Jedi. Will she be able to ascertain their purpose on this world? Will she even be able to survive? The future is always clouded, and only time will tell. CHARACTER BIO Name: Gabrielle Korr Bio: Gabrielle Korr is a Jedi Master in her late-twenties. She has managed to attain this rank because of her strength in sword-fighting and because she has a special ability that makes her highly susceptible to force visions. She was the Padawan learner of Jedi Grand Master Nicolas Graun, who is her father figure as her true father (also a Jedi Knight) had been killed by the Dark Jedi Order when she was just twelve. Ever since then, she has been plagued by visions that predict that her thirst for revenge for her fathers death would eventually drive her to the Dark Side. With the help of her father figure, she has been able to push past that and become a highly skilled Jedi Knight far stronger then most of her peers. SCREENSHOTS & INTRODUCTION Note: This game is a work in progress, these screenshots already do not reflect the current version. Note: The Introduction is in video form. FEATURES -A compelling story in the Star Wars universe. -An action battle system. -Use the force for light puzzle-solving. -Evade Dark Jedi using stealth. Chained by Fate
Dark Influence posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Optional Abstract: A message of fear spread across the universe. Genre: Sci-Fi, Puzzler Game Progression: Halted for an unknown amount of time - Too much work, too little time. Features: -No battles --Fighting of any kind is all text and choices -Story-based game -Lots of endings -Secret endings -Mystery and imagination aplenty -Lots of secrets to find -References to other games Recruitment: Game development has been halted. Recruitment Note: I am NOT looking to recruit a Writer, this will not change at any point. This game is non-commercial. Required Purpose: Set in the universe known as Farlisan the player takes on the role of universally-known, bloodthirsty and murderous raider Galiseir as he attempts to shape the universe around his vision. Players must solve puzzles and successfully complete choice-based fight scenarios among other things to advance to the next Fear Level, the fear level is basically the representation of Reputation - The higher it is the more feared the Protagonist becomes across the universe, players will be taken to various locations such as: Spaceships, City-Scapes, Asteroids, Alternate Dimensions, Forest Worlds and Sea Worlds to name some. As the Protagonist becomes more feared the missions available become more demanding, some missions are dependent on Fear Level while others require Story Items - Some Story Items can only be acquired through secret missions and locations, some missions require both or certain other conditions to be met first. Some missions can only be unlocked by acquiring a certain amount of 'UC', the game currency. The ending the player will get is dependent upon what choices the player made, what Fear Level they ended with or how much 'UC' they collected - Secret endings are an exception to this. Further information will be provided when required. Character Bios: Galiseir: A heartless merciless raider who has far bigger ambitions than any other raider, he has killed more than 40,000 people over the course of his life as a raider. He fights alongside his trusted friend and ally Sarizone, Galiseir is the Protagonist of the story. Galiseir is aka Chief. Sarizone: Galiseir's partner-in-crime, he will stop at nothing to achieve Galiseir's goals and make his vision a reality. Despite his somewhat overly serious attitude Sarizone does have a sense of humor though it is extremely dark, he has a goal of his own to achieve. Sarizone is aka Wolf. Beyond the Gates of Hell
Dark Influence posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Beyond the Gates of Hell Genre: Fantasy, RPG, Sci-Fi Game Progression: Halted for an unknown amount of time - Too much work, too little time. Recruitment: Game development has been halted. This game is non-commercial. Setting: Set in a fictional world called Ulberoth after an event known as The Merikar War, an event which literally changed the world. The Ashaeon Empire (AKA: Ashaeon) - Military-based faction which was formed exactly 88 years before The Merikar War, this empire has never fallen since, the people of Ashaeon don't believe in the Four Gods. The Anvidus Republic (AKA: Anvidus) - Trade-based faction which is also the subject of many rumors, it was formed exactly 41 years before The Merikar War and has endured despite opposition, the people of Anvidus frequently worship the Four Gods. The Kingdom of Desphara (AKA: Desphara) - Diplomatic-based faction which was formed exactly 30 years before The Merikar War, this kingdom was almost completely conquered during The Merikar War, the people of Desphara acknowledge the presence of the Four Gods but don't worship them. You play the role of a military leader and kingdom administrator as he attempts to stop Elizar Zain from starting another Artifact Sword War while also trying to prevent another invasion by the Ashaeon Empire, the protagonist will encounter various people who will follow him into battle if you choose to help them. Note: This game will have LOTS of content, the player will be thrown into a futuristic setting at times. Story: He stands holding an Artifact Sword ... His foe stands holding another Artifact Sword ... Their swords clash... A battle in the depths of Hell... Gates cast open and flames blaze across the world... A world of deception and chaos... Secret plots and constant wars inviting disaster... Hell spills forth... His companions fight the tide... All are unaware of the true threat however... Chapter 1 It has been more than two years since The Merikar War but the devestation left by the war still scars the world, the Ashaeon Empire is threatening war on the Kingdom of Desphara, madmen are plotting world conquest and Korridur has erupted into a state of civil war, Zavran Markay has been tasked by the Prefect of Desphara with passifying the Ashaeon Empire, keeping Desphara itself under control and with finding Elizar Zain. It should have been a simple task for Zavran Markay but some things that seem easy can be far more difficult than they seem, the moment he stepped out of the palace and into the streets of Desphara what he saw was quite troubling... Note: 4 Chapters, the story is far from finished, Chapter 1 is all planned out. Characters: Protagonist Zavran Markay - Leader Tank (Can take the most damage compared to any other character) Handles matters of kingdom administration for Lord Lazriun the Prefect of Desphara, Lord Lazriun is still a child which is the reason for Zavran being the administrator. Zavran takes his duties as Desphara's General and Regent very seriously, as a child Zavran was always taking an active interest in anything with a leadership role requirement, he was raised by Mason Valiger in Desphara due to his parents having been killed by assassins. Most Important Stats: Defense and Magic Defense Companions Matus Cavador - Melee Attacker (Can not wear armour, uses only Melee Offensive skills) A cheerful man who was living in a cave before Zavran found him, his cheerful disposition never seems to change regardless of the situation. He is rumoured to be the keeper of the Artifact Sword Kylis though he has denied this several times. He has extreme amounts of physical strength. Most Important Stats: Attack and Agility Kelia Tamra - Substitute Tank (Can take more damage than any other companion) She defended Antaeur Castle during The Merikar War in place of Commander Azin Danul who had fallen ill a few days before the battle, despite the battle being a victory Azin Danul died from his illness leaving Kelia as the permanent commander for Antaeur Castle. She is determined to prove she can be just as capable as any man when in command of military forces. Most Important Stats: Defense and Magic Defense Leisa Markay - Magic Attacker (Uses Magic Offensive skills, has some Magic Defensive skills) Zavran's sister though it is actually unknown if they are related by blood, neither of them remember each other from any part of their childhood. She became the Archmage of Desphara and joined the Council of Desphara when Terrance Valiger saw great potential in her. She claims to have been to an alternate dimension twice but these claims have never been verified, she has an almost unnatural level of control over magic in general. Most Important Stats: Magic Attack and Magic Defense Aaron Baleus - Tactician (Does not fight, uses only Tactical skills) Aaron has been a strategist ever since his school years, he continues to perfect his control over the battlefield with every battle he participates in. He is very distrustful of Antonus Drey due to reports of Antonus Drey leading attacks against several Desphara villages. He and Gerard Lazriun were students at the Manafar Academy in Desphara, the academy was burned to the ground several years before Gerard became king, Aaron personally supervised the reconstruction of the academy after Gerard requested it be rebuilt. Most Important Stats: Agility and Luck Sandra Lebran - Healer (Does not fight, uses only Utility skills) Most of Ulberoth's inhabitants think Demons when they hear the name Lebran, the Lebran family name has been tied to Demons for thousands of years, some members of the family actively participate in Demon summoning. Sandra refuses to be bound to the same prejudice, however despite her best efforts most people avoid her anyway, not much else is known about her. Most Important Stats: Agility and Magic Defense Antonus Drey - AoE Attacker (Uses both Melee and Magic Offensive skills only) Antonus Drey inherited the Artifact Sword Hazestur during the aftermath of The Merikar War, King Gerard Lazriun handed it to him despite Aaron Baleus telling him not to. Not much else is known about him however he is rumoured to have a connection to Elizar Zain which makes Aaron Baleus even more distrustful of him. Most Important Stats: Attack and Magic Attack Credits: Wraith the Elusive - Developer, Title Screen Designer and Game Over Screen Designer Enterbrain - RMVX-Ace Software and everything it contains Kain Vinosec - The Nothing Battles Music Pack The Blackheart Power Music Pack Undead Fantasy Music Pack Joel Steudler - Cinematic Soundtrack Music Pack Intelligentsia - Zonderland Music Pack Celianna - Futuristic Resource Pack Yanfly - Yanfly Engine Age Adjust Limits Enemy HP Bars Skill Cost Manager Yami Engine Symphony Yami - Yami Engine Symphony MurgianSwordsman - For helping me to understand scripts better so I could use custom scripts in developing the game. charlesthehurst - For helping me to understand Variables better so I could use them in developing the game. Ending 3: -Mixed Thoughts- Requires: Not obtaining the item needed for Ending 2, not making stupid choices and reading text properly. - Ending 3 is easy to achieve so long as you avoid fulfilling the requirements for Ending 1 and Ending 2. I might create a sequel depending on the kinds of reviews this game gets once it's complete and released. Bit long but I needed to include all that detail, hope I've done everything correctly.
