Hello! I'm attempting to use Yanfly's Victory Aftermath script, but for some reason on the screen where it shows what stats are increased, the text showing the increased stats is not present. I've looked through the script as well as other ones I have installed to see what the issue is, but I couldn't figure out anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks! I have attached the list of scripts I currently have as well.

I booted up RPG Maker VX Ace for the first time a few days ago and started working on an old project. I was messing with a new tileset I've installed and as I was getting the feel of how the tiles worked, I shut my laptop, reopened it and....crash. I had to force turn off my laptop. Now when I try opening the exe, RPGVXAce Project (.rvproj2), it said. So I copied and replaced that dll file, and now it's saying. So, what do I do now? Start from scratch, or is there a way to resolve this? And not sure if it'll help, but here's the error log.

I'm finally messing around with the movie feature for VX Ace, and I need a little help with the quality. I went ahead and animated a very short sprite animation which will serve as the opening for the game proper after I complete it. However near the end it gets all pixelated and skips once or twice, so before I go and waste hours trying to figure it out I wanted to ask anyone here if they might be able to help me get the right settings for this OGV format to save time a little bit of time. Ill provide a screenshot and a zip of the animation in question down below. As you can see I'm using VLC Media Player. It coverts my mp4 into OGG and all you gotta do is change that extension to OGV to make it readable as a movie. Thanks for reading and giving feedback. ^^ Sonic_Chronicles_Intro_WIP__2.7z

Event Moving While Not Actually Moving
Darkness Void posted a topic in Editor Support and Discussion
I know you can just use the same set move route that doors and chests use, turning left and right, however with one sheet shown below that wouldn't really look right. As you can guess this project is Sonic related, and I wanted to replace the Crystals with the classical checkpoints to save the game. I got the frames just right but I just can't get it to animate. When I test it the event just animates one frame and freezes became it can't move. It's not meant to move around, so I need it to show the frames as if its walking but standing still on the spot. Does anyone know how to do that? I've tried the walking, stepping animations along with direction fix. I've tried to get it to simply step but it only can forward and backward. So that won't work. If it turns out this is impossible without scripts, should I just make each frame its own sheet and changing the character graphic? Thanks for reading and giving feedback. ^^- 1 reply

First off let me say I wasn't quite sure where to post this. I'm using 2 scripts to give the characters both extra frames of animation and turn in 8 directions. But it's the sprites I need help with. I thought I followed both to the letter however when I boot up the game the sprites are cropped, missing half of the sprite. I can't fix this, so I'm asking for help. The scripts I'm using are this one and this one over here. Instructions how they work are written in the scripts so no need to explain here. The sprites I'm using are at the bottom. Are they too big for these scripts? Too close together? Thanks for any help you can give. ^^ P.S Those sprites are for test purposes only right now.

I am Kiyasu Oka and my home page is at www.kiyasugreen.com. I am a Taiwanese known as an illustrator, designer, and entrepreneur; one of my recent career focus includes being the proofreader and editor for video games. [EDIT: This post is last updated on November 12th, 2021.] I have two newly released Steam games during the past three months, and am currently working on a sci-fi RPG with a friend that is scheduled for release sometime next year. The "solo" game project I am currently working on is an LMBS-RPG (Linear Motion Battle System Role-Playing Game). LMBS is the battle system used in many Tales of games. My game staff includes my friends Barry Leitch, Tim Haywood, and Lani Minella. My favorite Tales of games are Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut (PS2), Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2), and Tales of Eternia (PSX). I also like Tales of Rebirth (PS2) and Tales of Phantasia (PSX). I am a part of what I call the "VX Ace club." This is a term I started saying in referring to anyone who is firm to sticking to VX Ace forever. I do own the full licenses for MV and MZ as "just in case" purchases but basically almost never used them. I will never jump to MV or MZ. I like the lightness of the engine and how it can already do so much beyond what I thought. It's lovely that people who don't use the latest machines can run VXA games. I own around five laptops, and one of them is a Mac OS X. I like Windows XP and I don't own a smart phone. Lunar New Year kind of just passed, but I would like to attach my illustration greetings to this post! Happy Lunar New Year!

Hi! I'm very sorry if this is in the wrong section. I was wondering if anyone had a copy of Yami's Charge Turn Battle Script: https://yamiworld.wordpress.com/rgss3/battle-scripts/yeas-add-on/pctb/ Their dropbox link is down, thus it's impossible to get it here. I also can't seem to find it on their github. Does anyone perhaps have a copy that they are willing to share? I would love to use it for my current project. Thank you in advance!

Hello! I'm making a survival horror game and for one of the levels, I need a clock tower graphic. While I'm making money now, most of it is going towards food. However, if you're willing to help with this, I'd be more than willing to make outfits for characters in at least one of your projects, or provide character sheets provided I have a reference. Here is a reference for the clock tower I have in mind (just preferably with a three tile-high and wide door at the bottom in the front - for reference, the sprites I'm using are made on a Looseleaf base).

vx ace Digimon dotNET (Open positions for spriters and programmers)
FAGC posted a topic in Recruitment
Hello everyone! Today I come to you in the seek for a spriter and a programmer. Overall Concept The project I've been working on for over two years is a mix between three concepts: - From Digimon we have the characters, these already known creatures that are made of data and evolve into other digimon if the requirements are met. - Megaman Battle Network provides us with the concept of "net surfing", where our partner(s) will be able to travel around the net and various devices which are connected to it. - Final fantasy Tactics settled my love for tactic games, so I'm introducing it to this game. Starting in your home page, you'll have a set of mechanics to help you rise, train and evolve your digimons. A task board will be presented to you with quests to complete and progress in the story. With a team of 4 digimon you will be surfing the net fulfilling requests, helping others and battling several threats. But don't get me wrong, you are not inside the net, you're seating in your chair in front of your PC, you are you. Your digimons and various other characters will break the 4th wall when talking to you, acknowledging that you are the one controlling them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lore After eons of peace, Yggdrasil, the mother and god of the Digital World, decided to reset the server where it was located and start again. A time and date was settled for the reset, which will come with the erasing of all the digimon in existence. The Three Great Angels, protectors of the Digital World, saw this threat and transported 70% of the digimons to the net, saving them from the reset, the other 30% that couldn't be saved was infected with a program that transformed them in X- Digital Monsters. But it wasn't over, an evil wave that came from the dark ocean (a dangerous space where rejected digimon are being imprisoned) started lurking in the digital world and the net as well. In order to solve this problem, Ophanimon, one of the Three Great Angels, programmed a video game for humans to "play", a risky move to help the digimon evolve and battle this new enemy, that was infecting digimon and making them evil. Now the hope is in the hands of the humans, again. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Main scripts - Gubid's Tactical Battle System (some optimization and new mechanics needed) This is the core of the game, since it revolves around this battle system. There are several changes I want to implement to it, like the lack of animations for the skills and the basic attack. And I want to introduce a card system that will let players add some buffs, skills and weapons for their digimons. - Layy Meta (no change) With this script the maps are converted into an isometric view. - Yanfly's Class System (no change) The core script for evolution of the digimons. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open positions - Spriter Overall, the digimon sprites are almost complete, I'm using the sprites from the game Digimon World DS, and it's sequels. But it's not complete, since I'm introducing more digimons than these games already have. The spriter taking this position must know that these are isometric overworld sprites, like this one. - RGSS3 Programer In order to accomplish what I stated in the section of Gubid's TBS, the programmer will be in charge of changing the animation script between the system. At this time when the attack is made, the actor jumps to the target and an animation is played. I want to make it more realistic by taking out that jump (or implementing it in some skills if necessary), and make it so the sprite only moves forward to the enemy. If it's a ranged skill, an animation or sprite will be replacing the movement. This is the most important change I want for the system. I also want to add a card system, like only battle items that will add buffs, skills, armors and weapons to the digimons in your party. This system will prompt a selection screen every turn, to choose from 5 random cards of the player's deck, will be used in the digimon that is taking the turn. Cards are usable once per battle, and will have a code to determine which cards can be used together, making it balanced and not overpowered. Gubid's TBS has been abandoned by its programmer and the web page is down. So there is no support for this battle system, and the programmer taking this position will have to learn how it works and how to implement such changes. I'm also willing to hear some ideas to make it simple and not waste time in something too difficult for it to be accomplished. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well... that's all for now. I hope someone will read this out and help me with this project. Thank you all for your time! Goodbye! -
OK first let me say that "animated enemies" is not what I am asking. Even tho 100% of searching gave me that.. I want to know how to have my customly made enemy, who has a still battle, to use the animation numbered 21, titled "Blow Ice" from the editor? From what I can see, those are player only attacks?

I recently discovered Adon237's CLOSET Triad Deck and I immediately fell in love with it. I only wished it had more cards for the project I had in mind. I wanted a full triad experience with a nice progress curve, many different opponent hands, and a deep element of card collection. It was stated that we could make our own cards to add to the deck, so I thought I would retool a larger deck using CLOSET battlers. This deck currently has 65 cards across 5 rarity tiers. I have chosen the cards, and assigned default values to them. The pdn is loaded up with portraits, frames, backgrounds, and the numbers. Before I commit to these templates, I would really like to know it's a decently balanced deck. If there's one thing I don't have, it's a mind for math and numbers. I'm a story guy, haha. 'XD I'm looking for one or two people to help me look over things and balance the deck out. There are a few elements I've added in that might be a bit unique for Triad decks. I put a minimum/maximum value on each rarity tier starting out to help balance the progression of tiers. I added in 6 themed card sets that make for functional hands and promote lingering on certain tier opponents to collect every card. The card values also reflect the attributes of the given portrait - in most cases - and within reason. This may hurt the overall balance of the deck, but that's why I'm recruiting some help. Fresh eyes and a fresh perspective. The Deck template is stored in a standard Google Doc for editing. If you agree to participate and help out I can add you to the Doc for editing. You will be credited in any project the deck is used for, and if I can get the green light, I will be sharing the deck for public, non-commercial use, so you'll be credited even further, provided that is possible. And of course you'll be given a copy of the deck in exchange for your labors, as this is a ton of cards. 'XD This is something I won't be giving myself any form of credit for. Adon237's Triad Deck Edit Template (Google Docs) Thanks for your time.

Yami/Omegas Map Saver - RPGMVXA Error 1411 (can't convert Array to Bitmap)
HellaGhosty posted a topic in Programming
Hey everyone, Okay, so I've been fumbling around with this particular script and scouring the internet for an answer regarding this issue, before coming to the professionals here in the community. This may be a HUGE noob question to be asking, but I can't seem to find a fix, or anything online relating to it. The script does seem to run as it will scan the map. It just doesn't push any further when it completes its scan. When I was attempting to scan a map shot of one of my maps, it offered me the error message: "Script ' Game_Interpreter' line 1411: TypeError occurred. can't convert Array into Bitmap" I don't know if anyone here has run into this before, of if anyone has found a fix before, but I would really appreciate you help. I assumed it was User Error from the beginning, and it still might be, but it seems the script was implemented properly. The map isn't too large, I don't think; it is 70 x 40, if that helps. Is there a specific extension I should use to make the "Blank" file? I used Bitmap/PBMP, JPEG, PNG, and they all seem to bring the same response. Or honestly, what would cause the script to not be able to convert? I'll post a screenshot of the error message. Thank you for your time!- 1 reply

While VX Ace was open, some idiot pulled the cable from my computer, and now every single data file has been corrupted. I don't know what to do. I've uploaded the data folder here. There is at least a month of work here that hasn't been backed up, probably 2-3. I'm at my wit's end. Windows 10 for some reason does not keep restoration points at its folders like it's supposed to. Please help. Alternatively, I had uploaded a much more recent version for a friend, but I had checked the "encryption" box, and the data folder isn't visible when I open the downloaded file. If someone can somehow extract them from there, I will only lose a week's worth. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZasZQZbnoNLooSPI4PA7PBh4PRJ_oNUZ Corrupted Data folder: Data.rar

Entry 005: New Project (not saying the name yet)
PhoenixSoul posted a blog entry in Amyrakunejo's Game Cabinet
I've made some progress with this new project, and I intend to finish it. I have the playable characters planned out, and a story arc as well. I will be using the standard VX Ace style sprites, and forward facing face graphics the generator provides. Of course, most of my custom graphics will be made in GCH: PE (which has been updated to 3.5 as of the day of this post), but there will be plenty of variety. I currently have issues with some things, but I'll get them worked out. I also am working on a button configuration script that will allow one to customize what buttons function as confirm, cancel, menu and dash, as well as debug functions so that those that wish to test with a gamepad can do so comfortably. That's pretty much it for now. Obligatory shout out to the best ever codex manager, @Kayzee; you rock, girl!
