  1. Hello there, here's something different from a classic RPG, a point-and-click, like Riven or Myst. This project is very particular, because it is set in a real city, with real people, citizens, who interpret themselves in a dystopian version of our town Carrara, (Tuscany | Italy). Carrara is the capital of marble, it's a city famous all over the world because of the quality of the most famous stone with which they built the greatest works of humanity, from Roman times to the Renaissance. In this story, the city has been hit by an apocalypse. The narrative is actually rendered in a horror fashion for mere provocation, as a consequence of the decline experienced over the years by many Italian towns, which were previously famous and full of tourists and nowadays languish in desolation. We have translated the game in English just to show the structural wonders of our city, even if in a dystopian and horror fashion, just to create a contrast between fiction and reality... The game is based on real photographs of the town, which has been mapped in Google Map style, at night or at dawn when nobody was around. Then, each scenario has been transformed in a dystopian style. This game has episodes, think of a TV series, this is the first episode! PS: Suggestion... save your progress frequently, and don't make noise... Follow us on Facebook for updates! Or website! Game Trailer

    Dark Dithering

An adventure game based in Hell, you are Murray, an unlucky skeleton that need to find out how to remove his curse. A game design like Zelda, funny dialogs like Monkey island, and an atmosphere like Ghost & Goblins, this is Dark Dithering. An old school game, pixel art and hand drawing animation. Follow me: Facebook | Youtube | Website Developement Progress | Story90% - Programming 85% - Soundtrack 30% - Graphic 40% A demo is coming soon! Then hope you support us in future when we are ready on steam and crowdfunding ! StayUpdate! Intro: My intention is to create a modern parody in a comic set in hell, between the current and the main elements of today's communication, during our adventure, we can access Deadbook, the social network for the dead directly from our menu, make friendships with the most curious characters of hell, participate in miniquest in the form of events, and buy directly online, from the ecommerce in hell, like "Deadzone". Deadbook It will also be very useful in terms of game design, to solve puzzles and discover the many secrets inside the Dark Dithering world. It all starts with a great love story, which unfortunately ends up in a bad way, our hero, willing to do anything to get his beloved, releases a terrible demon that instead of helping him, inflicts a curse to Murray, his girlfriend becomes a stalker, and he is surrounded by misfortune.... The way to remove the curse and heal his beloved, will be very long and tiring, also you never know what is behind the corners of hell... Murray Moray: After taking a curse, his girlfriend has become a stalker, and the unfortunate Murray has been hit by misfortune... Fiama Belmont: Because of the curse of Murray, Fiamma has become intractable, jealous, obsessive, and poor Murray had to flee the house, and seek refuge by his friend Karma. Karma: Karma is a karmeleon, unlike chameleons that change color based on where they land, the karmeleon change color according to the Karma and mood. It will be very useful to have a friend like him, to prevent and understand when there are times of danger. Opening Video Gameplay Video 1 Any feedback and suggestions are apprecciated! 5. I need a plugin for a Zombie state that reverses healing. Pretty simple.
  6. STORY: The story of Dying Light is kinda like your typical zombie stories where it begins with an infection of a unknown virus or pathogen but Dying Light made a good version of their own with their story presentation. You start as a man named Kyle Crane who`s mission is to retrieve a stolen file inside a zombie or should I say "Infected" filled city called Harran where in a mysterious pathogen infected most of the population. Sounds boring on paper but the real fun starts when you get to meet the cast of Dying Light and as well as the part where you do the parkour stuff which is really fun. Believe me, the story is really good and interesting but somewhat predictable for some people who plays zombie games or watch zombie related movies and stuff. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay of dying light is rather similar to Dead Island but with alot more tweaks and new stuff like the game`s famous feature: parkour. As Kyle Crane, you travel throughout the city of Harran with your awesome stunts, slides, jumps, rolls and climbs but that`s not where the exciting stuff happens. The game has a system (Not completely new to the gamers eyes but... ) called Day/ Night System where in at day, you are the hunter. The zombies walk slow and they seem to be quite inactive most of the times (unless you made a sound which attracts them) but when night falls, that`s where those crazy things happen. At night, the zombies become much more formidable, the are faster, they can climb, they can run, they can call the others to help them eat you. Not only the regular biters become stronger, certain zombies also appear at night and one perfect example is the "Volatile" or Nightmares which the locals call them. These "Volatiles" are much more stronger than your regular ones and once they spot you at night, prepare for a run for your lives. Dying Light also implements an RPG styled mechanics such as the Skill Tree System where in you can invest points earned through three categories (Survivor, Agility and Power) to enhance Kyle`s abilities. The game also features a crafting (weapons have durability...) and weapon ranking system where in you can craft your own items and equipment as long as you have the materials to spare. The controls are tight and it might take a while before you get used to it but it`s worth every second since you`ll be enjoying your time in Harran with all the things you can do such as Side Quests, Challenges and Co-op. MUSIC: Dying Light`s music is one of the best in my opinion. It really fits the theme and it gives you that atmosphere you need to feel in certain events and locations. FUN FACTOR: Running, jumping and climbing for your lives solo or with a friend is truly an enjoyable experience especially if you attracted those "Volatiles" at night just to have some fun. Dying Light is a really fun experienece whether you`re playing solo or with a friend (Which doubles or triples the fun) with all those zombie bashing, hacking, kicking and punching. The Open world city of Harran is also fun to explore and there are alot of easter eggs to discover. The "Be The Zombie" mode (thank God they added it to all the game copies) is another fun experience but also frustrating at some points since it is competitive and challenging. In "Be The Zombie" mode, you play as a super powered spider man like zombie and you invade other people`s games (when their game is at night time) and try to kill them (10 times, doesn`t matter who) before they destroy 5 of your hives. And if you`re playing as the humans and someone invaded your game, you need to destroy the hives and prevent the "Night Hunter: (The super powered spider man like zombie) from killing you or your co-op buddies to win. So far, Dying Light is FUN in some ways and also frustrating at times but so far a very good game especially with friends~ REPLAYABILITY: Dying Light offers 50+ hours of gameplay (If you did all the challenges, side quests, collectibles and exploration) but the fun does not stop when you cleared everything. You can either do the "New Game+" mode where in you start over with all your items and skills intact but the zombies are now much uhhh.. healthier... (more HP) to challenge yourself or do some co-op modes such as the "Be The Zombie" mode or those random co-op objectives that pops out if you`re playing with your co-op buddies in Harran. DLC`s can also extend the experience (which I hate because some important things on the DLC should be included in the game in the first place...) like the upcoming 3 DLCs which is bundled into one Season Pass. SCORE: 8 Cats out of 10 Pros -Parkour~ -Zombie bashing is fun -Smooth gamplay and tight controls -Decent Open World Size (Harran is quite big) -Day and Night changes the game`s atmosphere effectively -Cool weapon upgrades and crafts Cons -Predictable outcomes -Some missions are frustratingly hard -The Zombies/ Infected seem to act quite weird on some points -Weapon Durability, once your fully upgraded uber powered weapon breaks. It`s goodbye weapon...

    My first attempt

Hi everyone I've been working on my first game ever, I'm completly new to this but really liking this community & working with RPG maker. My game is going to star a recently our of the millitary marine that needs to help save this town from a parasitic organism that took over it's host and then over the Hospital and started wreclking havok in town with it's zombie like minions & monsters. The marine will have to get some help from the resistance at their base to fight their way up the hospital to take out the parasite. It will be a small game as it's my first and want to not go in over my head. Maybe it can expand in the future, who knows. Heres some screenshots of my starting area, home, town, church, resistance base, and the hospital which is my first attempt at orignal mapping. Here is also a small video showing some "gameplay" most of the maps have some sound but the darn vid capture program didn't grab it! Looking forward to the critques, and getting slowly better
  8. Hello! I am new in this thing of parallax mapping, but I am very happy with the result. I need to add some events and two or three more cars (and delete the militar car maybe) to the city map, but first I want to recolour them. I have to add the lights and the shadows and the maps will be finished (and solve other minor problems) It for a zombie game, so the city is abandoned and dirty. Part of the city: The shop, Tisco: This map is doing only with the editor. Is the refuge where you start the game. At the begginig its very empty, but you can build new things. Sonn I will remake the map in parallax. Do you like the maps? What I can improve? Thanks for the reviews!
  9. Greetings everyone I am not certain this is the place to post this , if i am wrong please move it to where it should be. and..here we go... Game Name: Zombie Mall ( possibly anyways) Game type : Survival(sorta) Combat System: ABS (Pearl Liquid V2) Game synopsis : A family of three gets separated when there is a zombie attack at a major mall ,the Zombies come about by a massive chemical spill on the interstate over pass that morning ,the "waste" that was spilled went airborne infecting thousands of people with a slow acting chemical that turns them into living dead , the attack starts (for the family ) in the mall(Garden Mall) which is a massive mall located in the town they live in. the main character( the father) comes too and decides he needs to find his family before they can be eaten. the game would be centered in the area of the Garden Mall , a sprawling three story affair(counting the basement), after the father finds a member of his family they would join the party , each member would have a weapon they are better with than any other. there will be a crafting system (sorta like outta dead island games) for weapon crafting and repairing the weapons after you find the recipes and make them. after you manage to find the whole family you still have to escape the mall with everyone whole and healthy. yes it will be possible to be turned into a zombie in the game,no you wont be able to play a zombie as part of the family. **EDIT** or would you think that the game would flow better as a single player game with out a party ? it would kinda be like each family member you find you would have to get them back to the "outside" before you died or you would have to find them again? Character Bios: Father: name to be chosen by the player Age:40 Weapon of choice: Golf Club Mother: Name: Debbie Age:35 Weapon of choice: Clothing Hook( its used in clothing stores to hang cloths up high its about 4-5 ft in length i think, lol) Son : Name:Alex Age:15 Weapon of choice:Baseball Bat So any Ideals or suggestions or just plain old feedback..ill take anything as long as it is constructive ,lol and thank you for the time you took to read this and thank you in advance for any and all feedback you can give me

    [project] Quarantine

Hey everyone, I am currently doing a lot of "pre-work" on a large-scale fantasy RPG which has been long in the making, but after quite a long break from RPG Maker I have decided it might be best to work on a smaller project to "freshen" up my skills a little and reboot some of those creative juices. The following is a game that is very early in the making and is really just a concept at the moment so I wanted to see what people thought and whether there is any interest or not in this type of design. Quarantine Zombie Survival RPG Story/Setting In the year 2055, a military funded research & development team is working on a new type of chemical warfare intended to turn an enemies population against one another. After a significant amount of progress, the new chemical agent is being prepared for testing at a facility outside the labs hometown of #cityname. The logistics team responsible for transporting the chemical weapon are attacked on route, the attackers from a rival nation seeking to steal the weapon and research, only to have the chemical released in to the city streets. The government is put on high-alert, martial law is enforced and the R&D team are relocated. While the team was able to create what many have come to call a "zombie agent", they were unable to create a vaccine - something the military never intended to create in the first place. Unluckily for them, the only way to reverse the effects of this new type of weapon is death. Realizing that they could not stop the new zombie agent that was spreading throughout #cityname, the government built a large wall around the city and quarantined those inside - planning to contain the virus and the citizens of the city until it disappeared, or in other words until all those who are infected have been exterminated. You play as a citizen of #cityname who was trapped within the city boundaries during the quarantine. While you have been hiding away in your apartment, food and supplies are beginning to run low so you can't stay holed up for any longer - it's time to make a decision. Will you try to escape the quarantine zone or find a way to survive within the boundaries until the whole mess blows over? Features Open World RPG - No linear paths, just a large open city to explore Action Battle System - Hack, slash, and shoot your way through hordes of zombies Character Progression - Learn skills by using them, pick which skills are important to you and then hone them Decision Driven Gameplay - Will you save that survivor or keep on walking? Multiple Endings - Will you escape quarantine or find a way to survive within the wall? Day/Night Cycle - The streets become even more dangerous at night... Build Your Crew - Invite other survivors to join your group, there's strength in numbers NPC Relationships - The locals will form an opinion of you, determining whether they help you or try to kill you Bandit or Survivor - Align with good or evil, will you seek to help your community or exploit the situation for your own perverted desires Crafting System - Loot items from around the world and then craft them in to something more useful Base Building & Customization - Don't like your apartment? Find a new place to call home and customize it to your liking More Features TBD Screenshots Please note these are just a few concept maps, they have only had one initial pass - they require a second pass over in order to remove/add clutter and make it appear as though it has suffered through bandit raids, zombie attacks, looting and other types of activities you would expect in this sort of scenario - this is merely a "clean layout". Concept I am a huge fan of zombie games such as DayZ, The Last of Us, Project Zomboid etc - I want to recreate a lot of the atmosphere and gameplay from these types of games in an RPG Maker project. The whole idea is to provide an open world sandbox in which players must gather food and supplies, kill zombies, and more to survive. Players can aim to reach one of multiple endings or just survive on the map until they completely empty it of all items and supplies and die off. Currently there's an energy system, actions performed consume energy which must be restored with food/water or rest - eventually this will be fleshed out to a full hunger, thirst and health system. So what do you guys think, is this something you would be interested in playing and if so, what kind of features would you like to see? All input is greatly appreciated, I have already done quite a bit of work on the project but thought I should probably put it out there for suggestions/feedback etc before continuing any further.
  11. Just an odd little idea I'd like to put out there. Would anyone be interested in a sort of game where your protagonist is the big 'ol maneating monster on a maneating adventure~? I was kinda surprised there aren't any games like this cos it'd strike me as a great sort of guilty pleasure anti-frustration game that lets you live out a "bad guy" fantasy without actually being a jerk, which is kind of the same appeal as any sort of ultraviolence or "you're a criminal" thing like GTA. It could be any sort of monster depending on what'd work best, and I had two separate ideas based on different monster categories... Idea A: Viral Strategy In this you'd play one of the mindless eternal hunger sorts of monsters, such as zombies. (But it could also work with other stuff like wendigos or some kind of alien) You'd have characters to work with but really you'd be playing as the abstract spirit of the virus and it'd be like a war game. You have to balance devouring biomass and creating new drones while trying to take over the earth, evolving along the way. (Adding extra symptoms to the infection, extra powers to the infectees, maybe specializing them into castes such as workers/scouts/fighters, raising intelligence to unlock more potential behaviours such as "infectee mimics the original human in order to infiltrate a safehouse" and maybe even reaching a stage where you can create "buildings" (hives? flesh structures?) and build a tribal society of these beasts) Idea B: Stealth RPG In this you'd play a sentient monster character in a more standard RPG, something such as a vampire. (Or any monster under the sun as long as you just say "it can disguise itself as a human") The gameplay would revolve around sneaking amoungst humans, searching out a victim and then trying to pull off nomming them without drawing attention to yourself. It'd play less like a "kill as many as possible" action game and more like a series of chapters where you plan out a grand heist and pull it off, only offing one victim at a time in a more dramatic way. The goal could be something like you have to eat enough souls to rise up the ranks in the demon community and become a duke of hell, or amass an army of peons. (If you replace "kill everyone" with "infect everyone") I think it could actually be fun to do this with a werwolf because it opens up a few new ideas. Maybe you play as a cop trying to track down this mystery killer, but it's actually himself at the full moon? (So you have two kinds of gameplay and have to pit the alter egos against each other- the game ends whenever the plot is resolved so you have to mess with things so that the cop never finds out the truth but also the werewolf never gets himself caught by the rest of the police. The goal would be to kill the whole town before they get you, or the cop turns himself in/kills himself/finds a cure.) Or alternatively maybe it's a werewolf that knows he's a werewolf and instead the gameplay is about spending most of the month "casing out the joint" in human form and setting up things so that you can get the victim when the full moon comes around. Because your wolf self would be a beserker that's uncontrollable, so you'd have to rely on making sure you're in the right place at the right time with the right hints and tricks and traps in place to direct yourself to the right victim and make sure it all stays under wraps. (Like maybe you made sure the victim would be walking a certain alleyway wearing a certain distinctive perfume, and the cops on patrol there were drugged.) Also, feedback desired! Would it be better if it went super serious realistic gore, or for goofy cuteness value? Or maybe even a mix of both? (Somehow gory chibi cartoons can be scarier than the real thing..)
  12. Hey everyone; I finally broke down and bought the full version...and I'm loving what I see so far, and the unlimited tile-sets are a huge plus which I intend to cash in on someday. For those who don't know me; I am a writer first and foremost, but I dabble in the art of pixel art from time to time when I get the urge. I'm working right now on a set of tiles that'd make the nostalgia in you swoon. I joined to share what I make graphics-wise, plus I plan on testing the in game generator to it's limit in a cool little side project I hope to get started on in the future. In any case; how is everyone?
