After two years of android app development, we moved to PC/MAC dev, and since we are just two friends with small programming knowledge, we bought RPG Maker. First, when we started our project, we were excited to beign part of the Indie game community, but we had no ideas for the game. We love indie games original stories, musics and ambiences, we think that the indie community is much more a community of artists and not only developers. Since we are musicians too (A pianist and a Guitarist), and we are composers (Soundtracks for other games or short-films) we really wanted to gave our game an original "sound". Then, while we were composing one of our soundtrack, we had the idea... This idea is now Dark Phoenix. Everything you believe about Gods... Children fables, religions and legends... Forget them... Forget them all... Hell... Heaven... All these bullshit... Are not real... What is waiting for us after death? Maybe the right question is who is waiting... The story take life in a fantasy world, Erendor, when diseases, natural catlaclysm and wars take place every day. Not really the best place to live for Drais: the main character. With his passion for the swort art, he live with his simple but lovable family, and use his time to train his sword skill with the father. But that life was freaked out when his father, with no apparent reason, is chaught by the Royal Guards of the King: Heitred, and then executed. After a little time, Drais and Kristal: the younger sister, lose their home and mother in a blaze. Then, they fall in a trap while roaming Erendor and become prisoners of three mercenaries. Their leader, after two days of maltreatments, try to abuse the sister. With an uncontrollable rage, Drais steal one of the mercs sword and run into the leader to kill him, but he is easly stopped by him. The merc then joke on the little boy, forcing him to kill Kristal, forcing his little hand holding the sword. Drais then lose his mind, and, totally consumed by rage, kill the leader of the mercs. The others then run away in fear. Drais swear that from now and for all the rest of his life, he will just search for his revenge. In the game, you'll have to guide Drais to help him consuming his revenge, but while on the journey, you'll find strange mysteries about King Heitred and discover the reality after death. You will find out that there is no Heaven or Hell, but another world: Heriden, dominated by 5 dark figures, the 5 Kyran. One of them will help Drais, giving to the young boy part of his power, but our hero will soon have to face a reality bigger then him. DRAIS HELLGEN Name: Drais Hellgen Bio: Main Character. After beign victim of many adversities, he is roaming Erendor to find his revenge. After one Kyran gave him his power, he will turn into a ruthless warrior, and he will be soon called "Dark Phoenix". AROX HELLGEN Name: Arox Hellgen Bio: Drais Father, he will donate a strange medalion to his own son right before being captured by the Royal Guards. During the game, strange reality about him will be revealed. DENA HELLGEN Name: Dena Hellgen Bio: Drais Mother, amorous and gentle. She will die in a blaze that seems accidentally. KRISTAL HELLGEN Name: Kristal Hellgen Bio: Drais younger sister, an innocent and mousy girl. After being captured with his brother by the mercs, she will die. This will turn Drais into a ruthless bloody warrior in search for revenge. HAITRED Name: King Heitred Bio: King of the Reaven Realm, an unmerciful tyran that will order Drais father exeution. During the game, strange reality about him will be revealed. 5 Kyran Name: Kyran Bio: Five strange and dark figures that live in the Heriden World. Dark Phoenix is not only a classic 2D RPG game, there will be some fictions sequences with artworks that will improve your game experience. You can go straight to the end or spend some time exploring all the Erendor world, doing secondary missions, discovering new places and mysteries. The battle system is the typical turn-based system, the difficult will increase as you continue your journey, you will have to elaborate tactics in order to win the hardest battles. The big and deep story will offer a lot of plot twists, no chance to be bored here. With original soundtracks, simple but stunning graphic and ambiences, Dark Phoenix will give you some good hours of game.
