    OTHER Knocka Dora - Re-knocked

DISCLAIMER: This game contents violence & use of drugs. Well, I finished a remaster of my all-time classic "Knocka Dora" I programmed a few years ago. It's now completely in English! "Knocka Dora - Re-knocked" is a Horror-Adventure-game with Action-RPG-elements, stamina-system & an absurd sense of humour. I was inspired by * Clocktower * Agoraphobia (Meister Räbbit) * Dark Souls * Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" * own experiences I gathered in a nut house * my babycake *: I crafted almost everything in this game by myself. (If this is a good thing you have to answer for yourself lel.) [: Story: The game is set in a German mental-health hospital in the year 1999. Doreen overacted again. After various drug benders she winded up in a psychiatric ward again. But in two weeks she will be released, when suddenly an ancient evil, which haunts the hospital for decades, embarks once again & slingshots Doreen into an alternate reality. Changes to the original game: * completely in English * Stamina-system, altered ABS * graphics completely in a 16-bit-esque, minimalistic retro-style * a few new songs * highscore at the end of the game * and here & there a little tweet or gag, I thought was funny when I made it Screens: Marco... Polo! You socialize in the smoker's lounge of the hospital. And socialize means smoking without a break & don't say a word for hours. Supplier of electric energy hate that trick! How you can save energy costs with this infestation. Refresh your health at the sinks in the hospital. Refresh your soul in this beautiful park in the night. Refresh your... WHAT THE FU** happened here!? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Here's the link to my Magenta-Cloud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.magentacloud.de/lnk/I5BpEjgX Have fun. Eva Reynes: Volume I

She was one of the best in her line of work. She had it all - the money, the fame, the respect of her peers and the fear in the eyes of her enemies. But sometimes all it takes is one hit from the bitch called life to knock you off your feet. Following the tragedy of the RM-8 incident, Eva Reynes finds herself in a life drenched with alcohol and music, with no care in the world for her job and her responsibilities. Evenings once spent chasing criminals were now spent chasing bottles of whisky. On one such evening, she got a call from her apprentice and friend, Damien Wills. He had been framed for murder. "Just this time" were her words when she put on her overcoat and headed for the scene of the crime. But when she finds out that this case somehow connects to the one case which ruined her life, how will she react? Are there answers at the end of the road, or will she end up chasing shadows leading nowhere? How will the years of drinking and reclusion take a toll on her when it matters the most? Walk in the footsteps of the legendary Eva Reynes and unveil the truth. Chronicles and Fables: ARENA

Abstract: Its an untypical role-playing story-adventure in the culture-oriented cold-blooded setting that has an emphasis on non-hardcore&still fun realism and has multiple original endings during all story through. Genre: ActionRPG, Adventure, Survival , Story with multi-endings Game Progression: The game is fully completed Recruitment: None Story / Setting / Purpose: *Describe the story and setting of your game in as much detail as possible. *If your game does not feature a traditional story or setting, then explain the premise behind the game and the goals the player must achieve. The story is about humans, about the strong one and a weak one and also about decisions. Some decisions could be made by the player but some others - by the strong ones and player could only deal with its consequences. The game has the Gothic-like dark fantasy setting, full of diverse people that represented specific guilds, cultures, businesses. The purpose is all about joining undefined yet story with the main character that is just facing the consequences of the others' decisions at the start but then - starting to write a story by himself. All this happens in the setting, full of humans of specific culture and behavior, doing different things in some certain way but each of it - at last is all about the same - the money and goods for them. Character Bios: There are no main characters except the player with undefined behavior. Features: 1. Action fighting system. Scrolls, range' and melee' weapon types included (about 50 overall) 2. Hunger-thirst-rest system. It cares that you don't think your character is a biorobot. There are also 2 hidden characteristics that fully depends on the player's decisions. 3. Crafting system. Its Gothic like and comprises food and weapon crafting. 4. Multiple story endings. According to the game designer, you have the main character's purpose and the obvious way to achieve it. Like you usually do. But this time you are the mind controller here, so who says the story must end one way? Studio's game designer envisaged it. 5.Kind of open world. Locations here as well as its inhabitants are part of the setting and you are the only one who can make them part of the story. So walk freely, there is gameplay besides the story. 10. Hello hello, RPG Maker Central! It has been quite some time since I last appeared, and so many things have changed-but what has not changed, is that I... ... I am still attempting to complete this project. After two to three years... I am still attempting to create a story-not exactly a fairy tale, I could say. And I have finally had enough of dealing with it alone-thus, my presence here is explained! What I am looking for-is a man, or woman, or younger, with the talent to hold a pencil-or a brush, and create masterpieces. Or... Just greatness. I am a horrifying artist when it comes to such an art-And I wish not to dabble, as I have tried multiple times, failing, miserably. The game I have attempted to create is set in a slightly dark atmosphere, although it tells of a fantastic and very anime-like story, coated in heroic moments and yet, tragic falls-and tales beyond dreadful. What exactly am I Looking for, in specific? Someone who is capable of drawing Character sprites-and animations/alternative stances. (In Example: Fighting Stances; Asleep; Dead; Unconscious; Casting and so on.) Someone who is capable of drawing Facesets-That match the sprites. Someone who is capable of drawing sketches-of events happening in-game, possibly anime-styled. (In Example: A Handshake between two characters meeting for the first time; The Main Villain towering over a Character, looking as menacing as ever.) Someone who is capable of drawing Battlers-Battles do have quite the meaning, y'know? Especially when it's Kill or be Killed... (... Brb that is getting old) But, that's about it I suppose. I cannot think of anything else-that I would require for my project. On a quick note-while I would love to hire professionals that can do masterful work and all-I am on such a limited Budget, and for such a restricted public, that I deem it not worth to waste the time of professionals. If a kind soul-with such skills, who does have some free time, would be both willing and able to join me in this Project, sharing some of their time to put their artistic talents to use, I would be most grateful. This has been one huge aspiration of mine-and I wish to see it through, to the very end. With a courteous bow for having spent some time in reading this thread-I thank thee, reader, and eagerly await for the one who will aid me in reaching this goal of mine. ~Daena Grey/FreezeKirby.
  11. I was wondering if there is a script already out there for specific characters in the game that the player plays that will heal with either light or dark. For clarification, one of the playable characters is supposed to regenerate health by sunlight. The other playable character regenerates by darkness. Is there a script out there that I can use that deals with this, or am I going to have to throw down a lot of Events?
  12. I have all the DLC available on STEAM for horro but I sttll feel like I'm missing things, but I'm not sure what does anyone know any more horror or evil, or dark tile sets ?
  13. DARK HARVEST Abstract: Two teenagers attempt to escape Purgatory. Genre: Supernatural, Dark comedy Average Demo Time: The demo lasts anywhere from fifty minutes to an entire hour of gameplay. Game Progression: Chapter 1 simply needs a little bit more cleaning up, while as of now I am midway through development of Chapter 2. I actually expect the completed game to be released by either the end of the year, or summer of next year. I'm giving myself a lot of time to make sure it's up to good standards. Recruitment: I would REALLY like if the game had it's own original soundtrack upon release, as of now I'm using royalty free songs, save more "Grisly Reminder" and "Pepper Steak" as the battle theme. (Do not worry, I specifically asked Alias Conrad Coldwood for use of the song in the demo, and he gave me permission.) STORY/SETTING/PURPOSE: The game starts immediately after the deaths of two teenagers named Lloyd and Lily, who find themselves lost in a mysterious forest. Soon, they encounter an eccentric deity who calls himself The Reaper, and he informs the two of them that they are now in his realm, Purgatory. He states that he has taken possession of their memories and that they are now being forced to participate in his Dark Harvest for his own amusement. If they wish to get home safely, Lloyd and Lily must traverse the Five Labyrinths of Purgatory, which is filled with beasts, ghosts, and demons with a thirst for blood, as is the rules of the Dark Harvest. For every labyrinth they complete, they are awarded a fragment of their memories, eventually leading up to the memory of their deaths, and how they even ended up in Purgatory together. If Lloyd and Lily successfully complete the Dark Harvest without dying, then they are awarded with the choice of ascending to heaven, or waking up alive once more. However, if they die during the Harvest, then their souls are forever property of The Reaper. CHARACTER BIOS: THE REAPER: The ruler of Purgatory and it's five labyrinths. He is an eccentric deity with unfathomable power and an even more unfathomable sense of humor. His cold, mechanical face shows others nothing but happiness, no matter how much hate is within him. He takes pleasure of various kinds in the suffering of others, especially younger people. He uses souls caught in between in Purgatory as pawns in his Dark Harvest, for mysterious reasons, and is not afraid to use anyone. He believes human life is nothing but the funniest joke of all, as he believes any and all hope humans have is meaningless, and that he might as well use their meaningless souls as entertainment. LLOYD: A neurotic and nervous teenager, he is nothing but scared of all of this surroundings 99.9% of the time. However, his skittish behavior is the only reason he's lived as long as he has. He is not a complete coward though, and constantly values the lives of others more than his own, and is willing to protect people he barely knows, as long as no one innocent has been hurt. When he is comfortable though, he doesn't refrain from being sarcastic and giving a smart attitude, with most of his insults being thickly veiled. More often than not, he speaks with a stutter that he can't control. Despite his fear and anxiety, he's more than willing to cooperate with others for the greater good. He is one of the two playable characters in game. LILY: She usually has nothing but anger within her, and lets the world now it constantly. Lily hates to put up with anything she considers pointless or frivolous, and has a low threshold for anything odd or strange. She is quick to deny he current situation of being dead and outright refuses to believe anything that is out of the ordinary. Her temper is only but a thin veil to her true personality filled with insecurities and whatnot. On several occasions, she is very much vocal to her feelings and doesn't hesitate insulting someone that's annoying her or her friends. However, she is more then willing to cooperate with someone if she is forced to, and only takes a few moments to warm up to someone. She is one of the two playable characters in game. ELIZA: She's another girl Lloyd and Lily encounter wandering Purgatory. Her past is a mystery, and unlike a lot of people that end up in Purgatory and participating in the Dark Harvest, she has no partner and is instead forced to survive on her own. When she first ends up dead, she's stricken with fear and goes into hiding. Despite this, she speaks in a calm and collected tone and knows her current situation quite well. She doesn't allow her emotions to get in the way of her goals and does all she can to get home, all while putting out her calm and chill personality to all that she encounters, to assure them things will be okay. However, her own calmness can get in the way of her goals from time to time, as she can be quite lazy on more than one occasion. If she had to describe herself, she'd say she's "A dumb Hipster with a will to live, damn it." ??? (SHOP KEEP): Just a cute ghost that wants nothing but your love and hugs! He is very squishy and likes money. Another Major Update

Sorry I didn't tell you guys before but I went to Florida for a vacation so I really didn't get a chance to update my blog frequently. But I had some time to work on the History of FosGi and it is now up to date with the current game I am making. I will upload the document as soon as I get a chance to figure out how to do so from google docs. P.s. The history I Wrote can be the grounds for more games in the future. There is a crazy war called the Death War. At this time, Queen Dekelena was in power when the undead crossed the ice bridge in the Frost Age from Diamon to Forister. She trained an army of elite soldiers to fight off the undead. The Queen also gained access to magic from speaking with the jarl in Arisia which is the town where they discovered magicks.

  19. I didn't want to make a ton of individual posts, so I made it into one post. I created multiple games at the same time. So therefore, I won't get bored. Holy Slayer(Inspired by Ninja Gaiden II) A man named Dan is a Templar Ninja. He's one of the best in the holy clan. The holy clan is a clan of Templar Ninjas who kill strictly by Gods command. Their mission is to rid the world of sin. They must kill all demons. None can fight Greater Demons since the Holy Slayer has not been chosen. Dan and his brother is the best in the clan. They had a very close relationship. Once Lucifer's resurrection has come near, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit had to pick the Holy Slayer to fight off Greater Demons. The Holy Slayer was to be the Templar Ninja who would slay Lucifer. They would forge a sword called "The Holy Slayer." With this weapon, they would give it to the Holy Clan Leader, and then he gives it to the chosen. They have picked Dan as the chosen one, but his brother Shak didn't like that. Shak felt that he should've been the one to get the sword. So he joins Lucifer to quench his thirst for power. Dan must kill the 7 Greater Demons of the 7 deadly sins. Dan needs to slay the 7 Greater Demons and Lucifer, so that sin will be no more. Shak has became one... Greater Demon of Aggression. The seven has became eight. Dan knows Shak is blind, and the Devil is just using him. Will Shak battle his own flesh and blood to the death, or will he yield, and return to the order? Dan & Shak - When they were boys their father was a alcoholic. Their mother... she was a drug addict. She abused meth. Both were horrible providers. They were also neglectful. Dan and Shak had to get their own food. One day, Dan and Shak comes home with food for them. They found mother on the floor... bleeding. Father comes in, and stares at the boys. He almost looked... soulless. "Hiding food from me, boy." The father comes closer with a knife. "I'm the provider of this house and no kid is going to show me off." Shak was always the braver one. He grabbed a knife and said "If you want this food, you'll have to come through me." Dan ran to mom, and he looked at her. That's when he knew she been dead for a few hours when Dan and Shak left. Shak was 17 and Dan was 15. Shak and the father was fighting. Shak almost lost... until a bolt of lightning came out of nowhere. Shak and Dan looked at where it came from and... it was God. God said "Come with me. I will show you a real family." God recruited them in the Holy Clan. The Holy Clan treated them as family. That is when Dan and Shak had a bond that was nearly unbreakable. Unfortunately, jealousy broke that bond between brothers. Now it takes Dan to repair that bond because jealousy might take his brothers life. As you see, this is kind of like a double-story. Dark Ages(Inspired by XCOM and Fallout 3) You fight off a threat... an alien threat. Aliens called the Atlieds. They abducted you as well as others. The Aliens brought you and a few others back to earth... or at least what's left of it. You decide to form a team to fight off the threat. You are on earth searching for people who too was abducted and was "experimented" on. You establish a hideout for your team. You hope to learn Intel of the Atlieds and find out what they are planning. Afterwards, you will seek to it that the Atlied threat is terminated... for good. Main Character(You decide the name) - You remember nothing before you were abducted. You have dreams about people but you don't know who they are. You find out you were abducted for A LOT of years. Therefore, there is no physical way to remember the past. One of your recruits say they saw the Atlieds ejecting memory and injecting it to high raking aliens. Why do they want his memory? What will they use it for? and most importantly, why send him back to nothing? Man of Blood(Story inspired by Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion) The young elf's name is Tyrome. He is a gladiator in the arena. Sold to slavery once he became an orphan. He's haunted by nightmares and visions of his parents. His father was a soldier. He was also the champion, chosen by the Gods, to defeat Elizabeth, Queen of the Dark Arts. His father failed and now his destiny has been passed down to Tyrome. Tyrome shares the same flame of his father in battle. Sadly, there are many things Tyrome doesn't know. So the last of the Prime Priest must teach him of his true origin and not what he hear on the streets. Tyrome is more than just a slave. He's more than a man. He is a champion of the Gods. I'm starting to run out of ideas with this game(I have 48 different games, 42 I haven't started yet)so anything you think will be a good addition to the game plz tell me. Secret Ashes You play as Felicia, one of the guardians of the secret ashes. The ashes are the remains of a very powerful witch. Before the Witch's death, she casted a spell on herself called "Spiritual Ashes". Her spirit as well as her power is bound to the ashes. The Witch's name is Nya. In order to absorb her ashes you must read "Spiritual Absorb". This spell was made for Spiritual ashes. Since the Witch's spirit is bound to the ashes, the ashes would be absorbed to. The ashes were hidden away in a very GIGANTIC rotten, nasty, dark, and spooky-looking, building and Felicia's job is to make sure Samuel does not reach the book, and if he does, don't let him get the ashes. If that fails, Felicia will have to make a huge sacrifice. Through the game, the spirits will play tricks on her. Give her flashbacks of her devastating past. She was abused when she was a kid. She did horrible things when she was younger... and she regrets every single one of them. Evil spirits like to feed off of that. She will be going through some physiological issues throughout the game. Also, she will be fighting evil spirits who are personifications of her past. This game will be dark and spooky, and there will be creepy noises(heavy breathing, foot steps, shadowy figures, strange lights, out-of-the-blue enemies, etc.) Earth Remainings Jack lives in a city. It is the last remaining city on earth. A lot of other cities are infested with monsters. Monsters that mysteriously came out of no where. It's called "The Dominating Apocalypse". Jack joins an order that was forged at your city. Jack and a few others were sent on a mission to go to an abandoned city. The city where this all began. Once Jack gets there, Jack finds out that there is more at stake, and there is more than meets the eye... nothing is what it seems. Jack - Uses an assault rifle. He is the type that's very cautious. He thinks everything through and executes the best plan. He as a leader mentality. Jack has a wife and kids at the city and he has every intention that they stay alive. Paul - Uses a shotgun. He is the least cautious guy. He has a warrior mentality. He is old but it doesn't hold him back. His kids died from the Apocalypse, and due to this, his wife died of grief. He made an oath to his wife, before she died, that he will join the team and help others protect their loved ones. Trina - She is the only child. She joins the team to protect her parents who are not well. They both have lung and live cancer. She uses an assault rifle as well. Don - He uses dual pistols. He is the quickest in the team. He doesn't do a ton of damage but he has skills he learned from his father, who was a high ranking military commander. Don's father died while fighting against the monsters. His mother abandoned him and his Father when he was really young, so he has no idea how she look, or whether if she's alive. What do you guys think? If you have any ideas you wanna add, I'd be glad to hear them.
  20. What Silver Shows "It's all a matter of perception. But that does not change the fact that we are all seeing the same thing" Jack is an adult already. In his adulthood he is obliged to accept some harsh truths about the world and his place in it. However, while in his mind he is strict pragmatist, his heart desires more thrills than his bleak world can offer. He feels that he is unique, even if he knows that nothing in his ordinary life proves it. He is in a constant inner struggle with his need to excel, his lack of determination to do so, and his self-loathing for seeing his young life being wasted away on frivolities. One day, in his desperate attempt to become something more than himself he voluntarily places himself in an unorthodox, perilous situation. While he escapes seemingly unscathed, when he beckons at his reflection in the mirror to become the person he used to be, he discovers that he can enter a mirrored version of his own world, with almost no barriers and no residents. While he enjoys his new secret in any way possible, he soon discovers that the parallel world starts to change a little by little. When Jack is eventually trapped in a completely alien location he just drifts without any sense of direction and purpose. He says to himself "I need to find an exit" and "I need to survive". But is that what he really wants? He will meet cryptic figures and will spend some time with some of them. A number of them will make him question some of his beliefs. Trying to protect his ego he has made what is supposes that is a cold, pragmatical, pessimistic profile for himself. But he has forgotten some important aspects of him that start to resurface. We can all see what a mirror can show us. But behind the glass, the layer of silver may hide some secrets. Is anyone really capable of comprehending what the silver shows? Features 322 maps (to date) with half of them being parallax. 4 to 5 hours of gameplay (to date). Puzzle-based gameplay. Over 7 (to date) possible endings depending on variable actions, affection or hostility towards other characters. Many hidden extras that allow even more endings, secrets and easter eggs (yet to be implemented). Customized Event Menu. Current Point About 65% of the game done. Cons First project (It is really apparent especially in the first maps of the game). Not completely RTP free. Many of the usual tilesets and sprites you have seen over and over will be present. Long introduction. Slow story progression in the first 1.5 hours of the game. English is not the first language. The text may have some grammatical errors or some phrases that are technically correct but sound awkward to native English speakers. No battle system (while the is a QTE system for some action scenes, the classic battle system is not featured) May or may not require some sound volume tweaking. Request A person or two from the community to do thorough alpha testing that will be monitored by me, since I think there are some delicate issues with the game and is still not ready for mass testing. I suggest that you are genuinely interested in the project because it's size and potential bugs or inelegant gameplay may be tedious. Consultation for enhancing the project. Personal opinions. Feel free to ask for additional info. EDIT: I provide a demo, so you can see if you are interested. WARNING! Gore, harsh themes, sexual themes, with references to child/spousal abuse and adultery. PS: just to let you in on what I have left to do to complete the Demo version of the game: I have to code most of the weapons so they upgrade into the new weapon * I have to figure out how to create Dran's tower in the center of the map I have to settle on the initial stats for each character I have to code the Georama system into the game properly * Figure out how to make elemental attachments increase the elemental power of the weapon. Beyond this, I'm very pleased with how cooperative this is going. Any questions? I will be more than happy to share what I plan to do with this game. Ask away! And do you think I should make a Japanese and European version as well? If so, it will probably be made with a translator like google or something like that, so if you know of any good translator software or internet translation sites, please include it with your comments. * in the game, but doesn't do anything.

  24. Heya everybody! ^~^ I've been real busy in making my game and experimenting with FL studio but sadly I don't have the proper know how to make music, sure I can play guitar and double bass, I just don't know how to use the software and all that technical stuff sadly but I am working on it! xD hehe anyway, now to the request. So for my Indie Horror game: Twin Souls I am really in need of a title screen BGM because the one I have right now is a rip from Pan's Labyrinth and I kinda don't wanna use that hehe. However, that's the sort of element and feel I want it to have. Something nice and eerie, very mysterious and creepy and just draws the player in, sort of setting the stage for the player's mind. I'm not sure how I should describe it though xD I'm struggling. I just want it to be very eerie and mysterious piano. I want the keys to sound off without it sounding "out of key" or not in sync with the flow of the song. >.< I'm sorry if I am not making sense. If you need further details, PM me or just let me know in the replies, thank you. This will be for a non commercial project. *phew* Hopefully I said everything right xD. Oh! And I'd like for it to sound very solemn and sad and slow and dramatic. Thank you everyone

    How dark is too dark?

In my game I've chosen to use a lighting script (Khas Awesome Light). I don't plan on using the effects on every map though, just caves, abandoned ruins, and general 'dungeons.' I don't plan on using light effects within the buildings in towns either. I'm not using parallax maps (except maybe a few on some of the important building exteriors), most every map will be within the maker using custom tilesets. I'm having trouble deciding how dark I should make the run-of-the-mill dungeon however. Some of them will be cramped passageways while others will be more open. This is the first example I have, the brighter version: This is the second example, the darker version: Keep in mind, the maps contain enemy events to initiate battle, not random encounters. This particular dungeon has tighter passageways so avoiding the enemy events will be difficult no matter the lighting level. However, avoiding enemies will be easier on the more open maps. So do you prefer the brighter or the darker version? Or does the brighter version maybe need to be even brighter? I'm interested in hearing all thoughts on the matter.
