Hope i'm posting this correctly but.,, Does anyone have the custom made facesets/emosets for actor 3-5? The elf looking guy? I had it before but i lost it and i'd love to have it again. Apparently some person name Jalen made a faceset of this actor but, unfortunately all the images are down. Any help is appreciated!!

Hello! I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find emosets for the faces of the DS characters? I'm making a game using these resources, but find that there are no real emotions for any of them. I could, theoretically, make it without the emotions, but I think it would benefit greatly from them. If these don't exist, if there is anyone with the pack who would be willing to make them, that'd be great! The game is non-commercial and I'm broke as heck, so we'd be making the same amount of money for this endeavor, but if anybody wants to help a dev out, thank you so much! Have a lovely day!

As you can see, it's the same hair, same base, same eyes, same nose. Just a different mouth with some different colours. I think there is some emotion to them even though the don't have eyebrows. I've been working on this every now and then. Unfortunately I've become rather cynical with the idea. One moment I'm added three things out and the next - I'm taking five away because I don't think it has the same quality. Seriously I need an iron-clad list. But I'm pleased! It's becoming more like an emoset generator! Still I'll need to keep going. I've not done eyebrows yet. I've only one set of eyes and nose. When I think about it like that -- I think I've not done much. HOWEVER! Everything is okay for the moment. As in, no more bombshells of layers or messes created by my lack of understanding from them. Woop! Ears are . . . okay for the moment. I ended up deleting half of the bases and then stuck this cut-out onto the Ear layer. Since the "Ears" layer is at the back it should look okay and if, say, hair goes over it -- it's fine. It's fine. Thankfully! I've decided to make two types of hair the ones where both ears will definitely show, the other (such as the image above) will hide. This means a little less customization but, I'm not entirely sure if it's possible (or at all efficient) to try and tinker with ears and bases and hair when I'm still working on foundations of the base. Hair however is tricky. I'm lucky on the fact I have the character portraits to use, I just need to resize them so they stay as clear as possible. It's really just a cutting out job, with a very minute eraser to make sure nothing else is placed in. GIMP has had a strange compulsion to suddenly just scroll down the layer box, as in constantly so I can never scroll back up. I have to restart the problem for it to cut it out which can lead to me just closing it and never bloomin' opening it again. Once I've cut out the hair -- I'll probably have to get started on the Mini area, but really, only need a few tweaks here and there. I'm not stressed about that at all. Nope. I know the hair has some stray pixels and whatnot but I've decided to do those small edits nearer the end. I can spend most of my time taking away one or two brown pixels here or yellow pixels there or I could be making content. I'll make the content then run over it with erasers and smudge tools to make it look its best.

The character generator has never been a friend of mine. I dare say, I hate it so intensely that I'm putting any game ideas and whatnot on hold. It has annoyed me for the last time, I have a resource which I have no interest in using and that doesn't really help, so I'll be converting the front view characters, to the good ol' 3/4 view. I've decided to start a blog on this purely to keep me motivated. Hopefully by seeing a list of what I have done -- I'll want to do more. Plus when it is finished beyond my insane mental expectations of this project, I'll shove up the files so everyone else can have a 3/4 generator than that ... that ... thing. Also do note, I only really plan to have a few "types" of say, mouths, eyes and whatnot. Just, there will be a large assortment of emotions of that type. For example for the female part of the generator I plan on putting on the lip-gloss/lipstick mouth and having several different expressions from that. Along with that, eyebrows too will have more variety and I do plan (if motivation is still high) then "overlays", or accessories so blushes / various scars can then be added. Y'know cause then I'd be able to make emosets with great ease, as would anyone else. Also, for those at all interested, I changed the "shades" of the skintones, purely because I thought the first shade didn't really look too different from the third. So hurrah for more obvious contrast! Well best be off and y'know, continue on with the 'project'.
