Erratic Crashes During Playtesting (macOS RMMV)

Hi everyone! This is my first post here so my apologies if it's in the wrong place. Context and Problem summary: I've been developing a game for a month or so in RMMV (macOS). Any time that I want to play test the game, test troop battles, or play a deployed version of the game, I can expect to run into one of the following issues: Game launches with a black screen (sound still works) Game plays for a little while but eventually turns into a black screen (sound still works) Game crashes before opening Game plays for a little while but eventually crashes The frequency of these issues and which particular one occurs seems to be totally random. Usually if I try running the game enough times, it will eventually work for a long enough period for me to test what I need, but as you can imagine, this gets very annoying and makes a full play-through of the game impossible. From what I can recall, these issues have been occurring since the beginning of the game's development. Up until this point I have just kind of tolerated it, but I plan to ship the game to some playtesters soon, so I need to get this issue resolved. Plugins That I'm Using As I mentioned, these problems have persisted since basically the beginning (I'm pretty sure before I added any plugins), so I don't think this issue is plugin related. I also don't believe that I'm doing anything sophisticated with plugins that might break the game, but in case it's helpful, here is a list of the ones I'm using: Community_Basic HIME_ActorBattleCommands No Level & EXP FilterController Iavra Event Popups Solution That I Attempted I've unfortunately not been able to find many solutions to this problem online so far. I did see someone suggest creating a new project and copying the files from the game into this new project. I did this (using my friend's PC) but it ultimately had no effect on the issue. Thanks in Advance I really appreciate anyone who's willing to take the time to help me out : ) I'm scheduled to ship the game to playtesters on Tuesday (4/12), so I'm hoping to get this resolved before then. Hey! I have a big problem with this script; (sorry bad english :c ) [USING THE PEARL ABS LIQUID DEMO] When I'm "fighting" with two partners (pearl ABS liquid V3) and both die, this error appears. It only happens if there is more than one partner. Hey all. Was wondering if anyone could give me some help on this. On a recommendation I downloaded Mithran's Graphical Object Global Reference script. My game was suffering from rampant disposed window errors and I was told this could help. However, once I paste it into my scripts and then start the game, I receive the error message: SystemStackError occured Stack level is too deep i was reading the reasons why this might occur, but I don't have this script anywhere else. Also, it appears the same in my script as it does as where it came from. Does anyone know why this is happening? http://pastebin.com/DvuinNFU

Hello. My game is complete except for one thing. Every now and then an Error will pop up that reads as follows: Script 'Effectus' line 2245: RGSS Error disposed window occured' Yes, I have the Effectus Script and it has smoothed my game out immeasurably. However, with absolutely no knowledge of scripting i feel that this script may be in conflict with another script I have. These are the scripts that are active in my game: Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Message System v1.04 Connected Maps- Hime "Better" NameInput v1-by fyzzo Galv's Map Positions Change Fade Time (1.0a) -Pacman ATS: Formatting [VXA]- Modern Algebra No Battle Screen Tint- ??? Scale Encounters script- Neonblack DT's Level up + DoctorTodd ATS: Choice Options [VXA]- Modern Algebra Map Saver- Omegas7 Custom Database- Hime Transformation States- Fomar0153 CP Scrolling States VX script: Neonblack Land on Events script- ??? I've been trying to use the Doodads script, but I keep getting an error that my game is out of date. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled from 1.5.1, but it's still saying I need to have above 1.3.0. Any advice?

So, i'm working on this game right? I've spent about 20 hours on it at least now. Suddenly, there is this error message saying the System/RGSS301 cannot be found. Ok, great. I look it up online and it says to just copy it from another RPG maker VX Ace Game. I go on the create new project folder and I get this message now saying I cannot create a new project. I'm so confused with this...can anyone help?

[SOLVED BY MYSELF] Trouble with MOGHunter's Chrono Engine (ABS)

Hello, everyone. So, after a while using MOGHunter's Chrono Engine ABS mode, I've encountered a problem that I was unable to solve: Basically, the Plugin does recognize the commands from the tool map, so using Skills, Items, opening the Skill Menu and the Item Menu work perfectly. However, the Attack and Shield commands simply don't work, and I'm not sure what is causing this error. I have tried everything I could imagine: Database, Events, Characters, Commands, Skills, etc. None of my methods have worked, and I am still unable to use the basic attack and defense commands. I have created a separated project so that it is easier to access the problem and make other kinds of attempts to solve it (nothing worked). The download link is below. Hi everyone! this is my first time posting a question and i have no idea what happened to make this error ocurr. So, im using a lot of scripts, and one of them is "Yanfly's Doppelganger" Script, wich i did not even touch since i've put it into my scripts list. The error occurs when i try to fight any type enemy (and i mean, ANY, enemy) The error is as follows: Removing the script is not a viable option since it's a vital part of the game im making, and besides, i've tried that and it just caused another error when entering a fight in anothe part of the game, this error is as follows: I Have no clue what might have caused this since i've used this same script in another Project and this never happened.If there is any other information needed just ask me and i'll post it right away, since this completely haults my progress and i have nothing better to do ill post the whole script just in case i somehow downloaded a faulty one, that includes "Game_Troop" Game_Troop.rtf Yanfly Doppleganger.rtf Thank's in advance Edit: Im adding all the project files so you can take a better look https://www.mediafire.com/?1hn8xzm4d7h3t5d

Hi, I'm doing a script that modified the Status Scene bringing the user the posibility to acces to a command menu, that part works fine, but when you enter in the Scene of one of this command menu and you select one of the new options, Rpg maker vx ace show me this error: The line 19 error: The Scene of one of this command in Status Scene is the following next: When you select, for example, Shiva, you add a skill to the actor (the actor that you select in the Menu Scene before the Status Scene, you know, the Menu that appear when you press the X button (: ). When you do that, in the left window appear Shiva, that's means that you added Shiva to the actor. That proccess works fine but only when I put a number of actor in the code script, for example 1. But I need to the script recognize the actor that actually is selected(the one that you select in the Menu Scene), for example: But I don't know how can I fix the error showed in the begin. This is the Window Command Script: This is the Scene GF: This is the part of the script in the Scene GF that I need to fix: So anyone else can help me to make the script recognize the actor selected in Status Scene? Hi everyone, I am coding challenged and need a savvy person to help me out with an issue I have. This issue occurred recently and is proving detrimental to my game although I know it is some easy fix I just can't figure it out. So here is what is happening: I am using the TDDP: Bind Pictures to Map plugin to do overlay mapping etc. It has worked great so far in my game. I have all nine levels done and they are replayable. This issue didn't happen until I started working on the ninth level. I can play through my game's levels no problem up through the last level and the credits. Instead of returning to the main menu like it should (via a simple transfer) I get the following error logged on the console: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'setDimensions' of null The console logs line 1692 and 1693 in the rpg_managers.js file: SceneManager.onError Then the console references line 215 of the TDDP plugin: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'setDimensions' of null I am assuming it is trying to find a picture that doesn't exist? I don't know. I went through and thought I checked all my pictures that they are being bound correctly, called correctly, and erased correctly. This error also effects save files after they have gone through the last level. Upon loading the saved file I get the same error as above. If I can't find a solution I may change to a different overlay plugin but I don't want to create any more work than necessary and I feel this might be an easy problem to fix. I decided to make a game but I hated the combat , so I got falcao pearl abx liquid v3 demo. All the Tilesets are missing from my project, Maps have events in them but no sprites

Hi, new to this forum. I have had problems lately with all of my maps getting erased in my games. It seems that all of the content such as animations, characters, events, and anything custom made in the database is still in the project, but literally every sprite in the game is completely missing. This has happened multiple times, it seems to happen when i save it on my flash drive, but it doesnt happen every time, it seems to happens somewhat randomly. Does anybody know why this is happening, and how i prevent it from happening in the future? -

In my project i created, everything was working fine until..when i teleported into the fourth map, nothing works anymore and the game crashed showing this : Script 'Window_Base' line 151: RGSSError occured. disposed bitmap I don't know what it can mean...please anyone, help me !!!

So after installing the Mantra System found here: http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/14133-dni-smtdds-mantra-system-v12b-skill-system/ , my game hasn't been launching, crashing on startup with this error message: I looked at the line in question, and it reads: For the record, I'm not trying to load a previous save; in fact, I deleted all my previous saves, and when I loaded previous saves the game worked fine but crashed when I entered a menu. I've looked through my events, and no mention is made of this 'each' method, and I've also looked at Ctrl+Shift+F and I still can't find such a method. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? These are the scripts I have installed:

Why in blazes are these text boxes so screwy?

The size of text boxes goes screwy at one point in my game, in which an event is altering the y-axis of a picture's position (the picture is on layer 22). I have a suspicion that the alterations of this picture's y-axis is screwing up text boxes, but I have no idea why, since it doesn't happen at any other point in the game. As you can see, the text box is just fine ... ... until the icon on the left side rides up the y-axis, and then the next text box looks like ... ... and when the icon rides back down the y-axis, the next text box looks like this ... So here's a snapshot of the code inside the event. I have no idea how to fix this. All help is appreciated! EDIT: Issue resolved! It appears that my choice of using variables 21 and 22 was conflicting with Yanfly's advanced message box script. I just set the script's variables to 0 and that eliminated the problem. -
My beta-tester Can't start a new game?

So I exported my Game for a friend to beta test, At first it wouldn't work from a file missing which I gave them the missing file and they put it in the proper folder and the game proceeded to launch and it all looked well but at the title screen it will not let them start a new file. They can go to continue and even try to load a file, (there are none to load because they have never played) and they can close the game from the menu. They informed me that whenever they try to start a new game it gives them the invalid target Sound Effect and won't do anything. I don't know how to fix this or even where to begin because I experience nothing like this on my PC. It works perfectly for me. Hey guys, I've got a problem with my RPG ^^' I did not have this problem before, so it kinda bugs me ! When my character learns a skill, it does not appear :/ I can't use it nor see it on the menu. It tells me that they learned a skill, but I cannot use it or see it ! Same goes with the item : even if I've collected an item, I cannot see it or use it in my menu, or during fights. If you require screenshot, I can give them, but I don't know which I should show right now - database, etc. Like I say, I did not have this problem before ! Thanks !

Hello! I wanted to decrease the size of my signature by removing some content from it, however, the forums liked by signature apparently and don't want me to change that. The error itself is clear to me, because it clearly says what's wrong. However! The dimensions are interesting. That was the other way around before. Somehow I managed to put them in here in the first place, so that's why I'm curious. (The error applies to images that are currently in my signature) What I can only do at the moment is to remove the whole signature and use these funny dimensions to make a giant and thin signature, but I think it should not be done. (= Thank you!

ModernAlgebra Quest Journal script problem - custom categories not showing

I'm trying to get Modern Algebra's quest journal into my game, and I'm having a problem with adding addition categories. I've set the vocab, icon, and sorting, as per the instructions, but alas it just doesn't show up in the quest menu... Have I done something wrong or missed a step?
