Devil Boy Quest Troublesome stuff
Perang Cemen posted a blog entry in Perang Cemen's Devil Boy Quest
I don't feel like put stuff like feature but whatever Devil Boy Quest might contain these...feature... Ignore Talk: When you talk with some NPC, you don't have to wait until they done talking, you can just leave them. Multiple Talk: When you check on something like book, people, animal etc, you will have chose who will interact with them, every actor have their own view-point like when you chose Lexar he can hear tree while other can't, but he don't like to read books. Hidden Stuff: Be sure to check Pot, Tree, Bush, etc. because you won't know what in there. Teaching: Lexar special ability to copy enemy possible skill. Combo: A skill require two people or more. Limit Break: A skill like overdrive etc, more damage when the caster low on HP. Chance: Sometime in battle you will have chance to get double exp, money, item, or raise your atk and def. Multiple Currency: There are 3 kind of currency used in this game. you will know it if you found Metal Chest(in Ruined Fox Village) Mining: You can gather Gold or Silver from secret mine located in Tsugi you also need a special item too. But there a problem, in late of the game someone with crazy ability join the party, her ability is troublesome and her combo can cut all enemy in two. and she also have ??? skills. ???: A random skill. Spirits: Spirit greatly raise the user ability. those two above will make game very easy at mid part but... in the last part you will feel like hell. there will be more and more troublesome stuff, if you have something to add leave it here, I'm might just pick it up. -
Which kind of game would you prefer ? NEED FEEDBACKS PLEASE;
Dear_Elise posted a topic in Theory and Development
Greetings everyone ! I am currently facing a hard decision . I have too storyline I really appreaciate and I would like to make a game out of both of them however , I really cannot which one to start with . This way , I would like you to tell me which one would you prefer : The first one , it involves several characters (around 15) , this will be a visual novel , survival , sci-fi , mystery , point and click game . In this game , people will die and you will have to discover who is the murderer behind each crime in order to execute them to gain something and discover what has mysteriously happened to them . The storyline will have twists and be rather psychological . There will be a point and click interface , you will be able to interact which characters and get to know their backstory . The second , has fewer characters (around 4) , this will be a 2D cute , fantasist , mystery and magic game . In this game , you will have to discover a mystery involving around the main character when she finds out that her crush mysteriously disappears and that people around seem to freeze without even noticing it . There will be many mini games but it will be mainly about sinking for specific items to go through the storyline which will lead to several endings . There are two pictures : the two first pictures shows most of the characters ( I haven't drawn all of them yet) from the first (survival) game idea and the second picture shows an exemple of point and click interface . There two last pictures show two maps from the second (cute) game . -
Heya folks! While I was prancing around my college life and all that fun, cheery stuff, I came across a bit of an idea to allow one of the playable characters in my game to have access to different styles of weapons. Crystal, a rare breed of water/ice dragon, can manipulate the water in the air at her will, allowing her to essentially cloak herself to look almost completely human, and she can use the same ability to cast spells and so on. Now, this tactic has been built upon to also include the following: A scythe, a shield, claws, and her traditional staff. (Do note all of these are made out of ice) Each weapon has its own strong point, of course, like how the staff focuses her spells more accurately. The scythe gives her range, allowing for some great setups, but it does block her magic use due to her focus to keep its shape while fighting. The shield is self-explanatory, besides that it can also double as a group protector. Lastly, the claws allow multiple attacks and fast movement. This leads to my question: Is it good to approach this method? Or should I stick with one weapon?

This topic gave me the word of strength to move forward "Introduction"

This is a first for me joining a forum specifically geared towards RPG making, My username is Yasringr Axel, call me Yas if it is easier (or Ringr if you wish to be smited by the 9 hells themselves (just kidding and actually whoever calls Ringr is like the Yugi to my Yami from Yu Gi OH). I joined to get a new perspective on making games, and possibly to share ideas and build an army, friendships. Totally meant friendships. I also enjoy writing stories and listening to music. I can speak about myself for hours and get bored, What would be the point of an introduction without meeting new people. I hope to get along with everyone. ---- Temporary signature: Opening Line from a story I have just begun writing, Chasing Shadows: "We can all chase our own shadows but never grasp them. When will we all stop chasing to think about when we will return to the light?"- 12 replies

Hey folks! I'm here today to ask of a very interesting topic I'm befuddled in right now. How do creature races come about in terms of their name? Is it what they can do? Their physique? How the live? (The list could go on.) I mean, I guess some names revolve around what they are, like Organization XIII from KH. You have the Heartless and Nobodies as well. Other games, like Xenoblade and Monster Hunter, also have races for everything. My only two examples I can provide, from anything I've used, are the Novarian phoenixes, and the Roans. (The phoenixes were a group of primary black colored phoenixes with red feathers splotched on their wings and two red tail feathers. The more elegant the splotches looked, and the closer to the middle the red tail feathers were [Novarian phoenixes had anywhere from 8 to 16 tail feathers], the more mature they were.) Roans, more commonly known as Chaingras, live around Roi, a flowering tree that blooms in the winter seasons. For some reason, I can't think of a creative race name for Raiu's mother's kind. I only have Ariaru as a thought. >.> Any feedback is welcome :3

spoilers Scalvose: The Return of Xerian (WARNING: Spoilers)
Rezanta posted a topic in Theory and Development
"There once was a savage war. A war that mankind, alone, could never win. Join the story, and follow these adventures high and low to discover secrets, treasures, myths, and legends." Cast of Beginning Characters (I'll list more as time goes on. I'm not ruining everything for ya yet.) Alright, that's the starting party. Now, let's take a look into the story, shall we? (Prologue) "You find yourself as Will, who's with Wane in Roa, a town off by a desert. Wane and Will talk about some simple matters, like how King Victor's army throws shampoo at flying targets, eventually getting interrupted by Darkness, a perverted joker with a poor memory and word choice at times. He exclaims that you need to help Crystal fight off against Magic Crosses that are trying to steal the food she has gathered." Battle 1: 2 Magic Crosses (I'll give the first battle, mainly for anyone who may want the demo once it's done to help with setting the whole game up.) Both Magic Crosses have 15 HP, low stats, and simple evasion, but know one of the hardest to beat skills, Magic Barrier. These Crosses will spam the move as the battle explains the TP and MP rules, as well as some stat buffs and new statuses. Once the tutorial is over, the Magic Crosses flee in fear and leave the two alone. The insignia marks that of deities. Will, after being forced to become a god, joins the ranks with Thyrois, Deiroace, and others. You can gain some runes that were gifted by the gods, allowing you to summon them into battle. Be warned, however, that danger is no easy game. Be prepared for a possibly hard beginning, ranging from Leaf Vixens using Giant Bloom, causing sleep, poison, and agony, to Chaingras binding you. Easy enemies, but one does not fight without reason in Wane's eyes. The battle system is by Lite, since I want a basic feel to the game. Sure, that limits a lot, but I can live and fit the story in Chapters of the thing. Average game play without edits is projected to be 5-6 hours. Characters include, but are not limited to: Kirue, Wane, Will, Crystal, Lek, Darkness, Xerian, Sol, Novaria, Ragnarok, and many more. What are your thoughts?- 3 replies

Hello everyone~ Recently I started working on a small little game, that I might make into a series, not too sure yet( I mean... I don't even have a name yet ;_ I'm planning on releasing this somewhere around 1 October 2013 (somewhere around that week would be okay XD) and I've been working on it since 23/24 September 2013. So I'm hoping to make a game in a week or so to prove some friends who don't think I can ever release a game wrong >.< The game will only have two playable characters, here are they~ Daymia (me and my strange taste for names....) A Young elf, seeking a job to support her parents who have both fallen terribly ill. Has tried to obtain many jobs, but have been turned down each time, due to the fact that she's an elf. Possess a strange power that makes her capable of stealing the abilities and spells of anyone or thing she sees as an enemy. Jal A man who wanders the world, seeking delicious delicacies of all types. Currently he is searching for Mensa Delicate, a dessert from an ancient civilisation that is said to be the ultimate mixture of flavors, creating a taste unique to the person who eats it, based on their likes and dislikes. He's a very experienced mage, majoring in magic that takes a while to activate. And here are some pics to prove that I am working on the game XD I hope to have maybe a video or something tomorrow lol
