    Card Design Critique

Hey forums, Looking for some general advice to make my cards look less noobish. I'm hoping for info regarding the structure/layout of the cards which could then be applied to improve all my cards, although suggestions specific to the examples I provide wouldn't hurt me either There's two card types: Troop card (stars by the name indicate Officer cards or tribute summons in other people words) and Command cards (with both flavour text and instructions for use these need to have room for text) As you can see, right now they're pretty bland and generic looking. Editing the RTP is about the extent of my ability so that's something to keep in mind; always happy to learn something new though :3 More examples can be provided if it helps.

    Resource Feedback Thread

Hey guys, so I swear we used to have one of these up originally but it appears not, So I'm opening one up now! This thread is for Art only! (ie Character Art and Sprites) If you are looking to get feedback on anything else then you can visit the following links: Screenshot Critique Thread (For Mapping, and UI Design) Music Feedback Thread Please remember the following rules: 1. Constructive Criticism not being rude! equally very minimal effort answers like: "Yeah looks good" is equally unhelpful! 2. Please give feedback on other peoples work where possible! Even if it's not in an area you aren't confident in, it's polite and helpful to give feedback 3. All other Forum Rules apply
  4. SUP HAVE SOME MUSIC Warning: Daniel's Theme is really loud for some reason. https://soundcloud.com/spuddyferret/daniels-theme MAYBE GIVE SOME FEEDBACK YEAH *drops mic* Disclaimer: This is not allowed for commercial or non-commercial use.
  5. There are arguments and counterarguments. "Don't post it to the internet if you don't want critique." "But if someone doesn't want it, you're being an ass by giving it ANYWAY." "Just because you don't want it doesn't disallow me from giving it anyway." "But that doesn't mean you SHOULD." "They won't get any better." "And you won't be respected as much." "Why share it then?" "It's okay to not want critique. Maybe they're just showing it off!" Both very real sides of the coin. Where do you stand and why? Me, I'm on the fence. I've been at the receiving end of both arguments. I'm curious to see what fellow content creators think of this. (And please, let's keep discussion civil and clean! We don't need to give the mods more heart attacks!) (Cross posted)
  6. Not sure where I should put this, so i thought i post here, would it be possible to add an avatar limit to how many times u change it, as certain member(s) have been abusing it and its starting to get annoying, seeing them change it constantly. thanks

    Starting Roots!

So, hey! This is what I do... when I have writer's block! by doing more writing. Makes sense. So how's this? It's a work in progress, mind you. WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE The Book of Love Craig. It's that specific order of letters, with those specific sounds in such a position, that makes me shiver even more on a snowy day in South Park. It's that name, and that guy, that takes the cloudy skies away. Even when the day looks fine, and the sunlight breaks the clouds, he still stands next to his locker, waiting. Waiting for what, you ask? Oh, he's waiting for Cartman. Cartman challenged him to a fight yesterday because Craig took the last taco from the cafeteria. Not for me, obviously: I'm not the kind of person people wait for when the bell goes. I usually see him on the other side of the hallway, where my locker is. I sometimes see a bit inside, and there's pictures of cars on the door, with neatly organised school books and car annuals, that are shining with special offer tokens. I even think I saw a toy car in there once. But, you know, I look forward in my locker and there's a heap of Starbucks cups with coffee stains on them, and my school books are scattered around - some ripped on the corners - making the locker look like a garbage disposal. Near the back is an old coat of mine that I never wore, that I got on my birthday from someone that came to my school. There's also a poster on the side, with some little specks of coffee - again - dabbed onto it. Then there's a picture on the door. It's me and Craig, near Stark's Pond. That was when we were kids, when we were ten and we could be whoever we wanted to be. We could do anything. We could do anything. I could be happy. I look over my shoulder towards my black-haired friend. He's still there, packing his bags, getting ready for the long day ahead. He has that stone face, as always, with his dark, worn out blue hat and charcoal hair it's almost an image of old age. I look down and his always apparent blue winter coat is wrapped around his side, clinging on to his sky blue t-shirt, with the little remains of the arms dangling down next to his jet black jeans and trainers. He was a full on teenager. Blue, check. Black, check. Emotionless, check. Phone in his pocket? Check. That was Craig Tucker, the so called legend of teacher bullying. I could see him cracking his middle finger's knuckle, preparing it for classroom warfare. You know, they say he's been in over one hundred detentions. He's apparently smoked behind the back of the school with Kenny McCormick and Clyde Donovan. He apparently flipped off PC Principle. He got away with it. That was him, Craig Tucker. But while I was evaluating him he slammed his locker door violently and with a sigh headed off. Now I could pay attention to him. I turned my body towards him, to see his back towards me. Then he stopped moving. I wondered what was happening. I took a step forward, only to hear the toxic words of Eric Cartman, spat out like venom that gripped the attention of the hallway's audience. "Where, in the fucking fuck, do you think you're going, hippy?", he wailed with mischief. There was a drop of hate in every single word from that mouth of his. I saw Craig look down one moment. He sighed, and looked up at him. I knew he was showing an aggressive expression, as Cartman's face turned horrified. "I'm going to my lesson." He snarled back, "Why is that any of your business, Cartman?" Cartman: afraid, panicky, and weakened, dragged his stance upwards and sculpted a more powerful emotion. "No you're not, you fucking prick!" He spat, "You're going to take a fucking trip to the nurse's office because of some busted balls!" In that instant, Craig lunged forward and rammed a fist into Cartman's face, smacking him down into the hallway floor. The bruised face of Eric Cartman looked up at the one hit victor, with his ears crying over the cheering of the hallway's residents. Craig has beaten him, with one hit, once again. I looked in wonderment at the boy. I opened my mouth slightly over sheer amazement. This was Craig Tucker, the boy that muttered, "Stupid fucking prick." under his breath and walked in my direction, looking forward with a heavy stance. But then, he looked at me, for a brief second; his crystal blue eyes darted into my emerald eyes, and with that his eyes chained down over me. He looked at my blonde, messy hair that was bleached with grease. He looked down at my weak physique and my green, incorrectly buttoned shirt, creased up from the countless times it was thrown at the side of my bed. He peered down towards of my beaten, jet black jeans, with, of course, black trainers, with stains of dirt and coffee plotted around it like a fantasy map. The ends of my trainers were glittered with specks of dirt and grime, after that early morning run to catch the school bus in time after oversleeping. Then he looked back up into my eyes. The eyes of Tweek Tweak, the boy that was described as a pepper shaker. I was always shaking and trembling and quivering and shuddering. He looked into my eyes. I stared back. We were in each other's world. He looked away, leaving me in a trance. Walking away, the boy put his hands in his pockets and headed forward to his first class. If there was one thing good about him, it was that he could keep promises. The bell rang. I jumped back into reality, oscillating once again, and grabbed my grey backpack, flinging it over my side. I made my way forward, thinking of me and Craig's confrontation. It was the first one... in six years. When that thing happened. That broke us, and our friendship forever. I don't even know how he could do something like that to me, but I forgive him. But then I looked into his eyes. His angry, scared, and humiliated eyes. I realized he really had enough of me, yet, I didn't. But with that thought, I felt a shiver creep up my spine to think the impossible. It's impossible because the impossible happened when we were ten. When that thing happened. I looked deep into the thought and rushed out. I raised my head up to the ceiling, with a bead of regret crawling from the tip of my eye. That feeling. It's similar. I looked back down to reveal a friend of mine, Token, waiting for me. We did Drama together, something I used to tell Craig I was terrible at, and I probably told everyone else too. "Hey Tweek!" He smiled. I smiled back at him, trying to restrain my shivering from freedom. Token left our gang six years ago with me, while Craig went with Clyde, and so Token was the only friend I had, and I'm glad he isn't as frustrating and pathetic than Clyde Donovan. "You remember your lines for that assessment today?" He added. Oh. The assessment. "Gah!" I wailed, clutching my hair, trying to rip it from my scalp. "I-I forgot it was t-today! Agh!" My body went away and trembled like a frenzy. I could feel my clenched face tighten and my teeth smash into one another. That assessment! The extract from Much Ado about Nothing that I had to act out! In front of that class too! The pressure's pinching my skin, ripping it into shreds! Now how am I supposed to remember the lines? "Don't worry Tweek!" He reassured. I looked up at him with a sigh of relief. He wasn't angry. Okay, one obstacle dealt with. "If you forget a line, I'll mouth it for you, it'll be fine!" I felt the relief flood my veins, making me loose and luxuriate in the prideful news. I gripped myself upwards and painted a smile on my face. "Let's d-do this!" I said enthusiastically. He smiled back, and turned to open the door behind him. We stepped in onto our stage. I looked around to see that this had been properly set up. The drapes, the back wall, the stage exits; it was all there. The stage lights bickered and stood on us with their bright grins of light, making the stage the only thing you could see. The room was blacked out: there was complete darkness; just what I need to stop me go into a spastic seizure on stage. I - in my casual style - walked on shaking, with Token behind me, and we got into our positions. We stared at each other. Get ready, Tweek. The camera beeped go. I took my step forward. "Lady Beatrice, have you wept all this while?" I asked the weeping boy on his knees. The play had begun. Everything is going smoothly. Everything is okay. I stayed in role, the lines came out of my mouth one after the other: I felt like a pianist playing the right notes at the right dynamic. Time was going by fast. Everything is in order. Everything is okay. I stepped forward for another line. "Use it for my love some other way than..." I faced the audience, to see the sight of Craig Tucker, leaning against the back of the hall, looking right at me. Our eyes had met again. I started shaking, there was nothing I could do but look back at the haunter. His face was expressionless: he had no feeling visible. Well, that's what I thought. I saw a bright light glisten from his eyes. A tear. He let go of a tear that moved down his face. His eyes widened. I watched his change of character from start to finish... and I pondered why. Was it... him? Or was it me? I watched him rush off into the corridors, covering his face. I was overwhelmed. But I looked in front of me to see an angry Token Black whispering the rest of the line. Oh right. "..other way than swearing to it." I finished. --- ...that's it so far xD
  8. Hello everyone! Long story short, i began working on a project on April 2015. The game was simply titled 'Emphasis'. Shortly after that, i changed the title to 'Emphasis: Parallel Breach' due to the game's story. Now, some months under development, 'Emphasis' is a major "player" in the game BUT the game is not really all about this company. I was thinking that the current title focuses too much on the company; So instead of 'Emphasis: Parallel Breach', i'm considering to change the title to just 'Parallel Breach'. Can you help me by sharing your thoughts about this? EDIT: i also have this small text which probably needs corrections, so if anyone feels like it... Emphasis: Parallel Breach recounts*(1) the story of Jiro, a young boy on the run from the multi-billionaire pharmaceutical company Emphasis. While Jiro disappeared one day and his friends are looking for him, they are also trying*(2) to get behind the reason Emphasis is chasing him. A few days later, the only thing they did found out for certain, is that their lives will never be the same again. *(1) Recounts ---> Can i say that? I mean instead of "Emphasis... tells the story of Jiro...."; *(2) they are also trying to get behind the reason... ---> this, or is it "they also try to get behind the reason...." or any other correction i cannot see... Thank you!

    Feedback about my music

Hello everyone! Since I've lost passion on my "real music" what I've been doing with FL Studio 12, I have found the joy of making music about my seconds interest; RPG Gaming of course. So. I thought I could come here and share these tracks with you guys! All feedback is very welcome! I'm NOT very productive person, so I don't have much ready songs. And making them to start to finish, can take a while. Actually I have bunch unfinished stuff, but for now, this is my only song that I have mastered, looped and uploaded on the net, so it's ready I don't have specific interest about genre, so I'll do anything between chilling town music to battle music (Although fast paced music is harder to me to make for some reason) So, here's my first creation: All my stuff I create is free to use. I have the OGG download link in the Soundcloud description of the song. But yeah, I think that's all. Feel free to listen, comment and use the stuff I upload here!
  10. Description is in the title. I simply want to know a few good sites that I could place my game (when it's completed) to get some feedback on it. I don't want popularity or commercial deals or something unreasonable, just constructive criticism.

    Magical Girl RPG Concept

Okay, so I want to take on a second game, soley because of the fact that I can't work on Angry Gay Makeup Exam because it's a For Fun pet project between me and a friend and he got upset that I was doing too much work? So I gave him the job of mapping so I get long breaks before I have to do things. That being said I really want to do a Magical Girl themed RPG and I had a character sitting around and decided to build a story around her. [No Title Yet] Story (Warning, Alot of things don't have names yet, so I'll put them in quotes) Characters Gameplay Setting/Feel But yeah critiques, ideas, thing you'd wanna see, etc, is this idea even worthwhile? Please tell me.
  12. Heyya All, this is my first post and its regarding a few maps that I have made near the start of my game, while I am happy with them to a degree I do believe that it terms of the maps themselves there is still work to be done. I would rather start to learn and improve early on in my project to make everything else stand out in terms of how I have improved as a RPG 'mapper'. Feedback ranging from something as simple as make a house or path bigger too ideas of how to fill an area would be greatly helpful in terms of improving my skills. Thank you to anyone who helps me out or reads this. Below are the three screen shots as well as some information explaining them. Path. Village. Memorial.

    Strafe of Spirits

So yeah, Maki here! I've been liking Ainu for quite some time (They even became my topic of presentation in the Final Practical Exam for the last semester of high school!), and I'm thinking of making a game (mainly) based on their mythology. This is a small, casual project, and since I'm bad with staying in a project and a great procrastinator, I'm not even sure if this project would actually finish. I still need some feedback and comments though, since my life force is filled by absorbing the mental energy from them those usually help me lift my spirit and learn more. Most of the resources are from the RTP though, so don't expect many fancy custom arts XP Strafe of Spirits Overview: Strafe of Spirits is an adventure RPG where the player traverse around a world based on the Ainu (and a bit of Japanese) mythology. The player will control a girl archer named Pirka in a quest to find the answer behind a strange happening in her world, while helping people and non-people along the way. Ainu? The Ainu are an indigenous people mainly found in Northern Japan. It is widely believed that they were more widespread in earlier times, but were pushed back up north when the wave of people from China resides in mainland Japan. It took a very, very long time however, for Ainu to gain acceptance officially as Japan's indigenous. After times of forced-assimilation, the Ainu finally gain official status in 2008. Ainu has quite different... Stuff from mainstream Japan that makes them unique; the culture, language and even portion of their physical appearance can rather easily be recognized. In video games, one example of Ainu culture getting attention is Ookami. There are many references of Ainu culture in that game. As for physical game, the Gusto and Ritual Beast archetype of Yu-Gi-Oh! is based on Ainu. Too bad much of the TCG translation butchered the lore. Oh, well... The Story: Gameplay: Characters! So I think that's it for now! I'll add more later, I'm too sleepy now I started to write Harry Potter in flawless Latin instead. Constructive feedback and comments are always welcome~
  14. Hey there I've been pondering on this for a while now, so I decided I'd try get some feedback on the current problem I have. I originally was using Yanfly's Skill Learn/JP Manager scripts and now I'm trying out Yami's Equipment Learning script. The idea if I have though that I can't seem to implement is, is there a way to increase paramters through these? Say I want to use Yanfly's Skill Learn; is it possible to make, say "HP+100" cost 100jp, so when they unlock it, they gain 100 to there maxHP? Or unlock say "Atk+2" by spending 50jp? Even adding something like "poison immunity" by spending jp to unlock it. Any feedback is welcome~ Also, after realizing I dont want to repeatedly make new topics everytime I want help/feedback, I'l just rename this whenever needed so I use the same topic each time. Thank you~
  15. Hey, I need a little feedback on something I'm trying to do. In various games you can get skills such as "Bug Killer" or "Dragon Slayer" where a certain skill deals more damage to a certain type of monster or such. I want to implement this into my combat system, however I can only think of using the elements for this however I also use a bestiary - which is needed since my game requires crafting and the bestiary helps players track what enemy drops what items and materials. My question is, does anyone know any other methods to adding this system in? I don't want "Bug" and/or "Dragon" (amongst other types) appearing within the bestiary under elements since its pretty redundant, so any help or input would be helpful Thanks for reading~
  16. I've been working on two projects, One is a side, the other is my main. So my side project I thought I have a cool story for it but wanted to see what everyone thought. "The Nobody" In the land of Xaliar, a great ware broke out. This war tore the people and land apart equally. The three factions split into six after the war due to moral conflicts and interests. Their cultures have split and became different. The Zendar, known for their greed and belief of the right to own anything. Not always smart but hateful of others. They hate even each other. The Ghalon, follow a strict honor written in the Hakashi resolution. Anyone who breaks it is stripped of their honor then killed. The Airaiths, are introvert people, they constructed their floating city in the sky. They claim the skies theirs, besides uncommon airship traffic there's no competition. Not much is truly known about them. The Larok, they are hardened warriors. Not very civil, but masters of the battlefield, they spend their lives fighting. Never giving much thought to the world's business. THR Sinjar, they're a small faction of pyromaniacs. They have been known to set entire towns on fire for their entertainment. The Falone, besides nature they don't pay attention to much. They're naturalists, they live in the forests typically living off the land. To other factions they are a joke and mocked. There is a faction, was a faction, that was so grand others claimed them gods. Epics have been written of them, they are the blood.Their name derives from their activities. They used Blood in everything, even magic. But who knows, this is just myth as nobody really knows anything about them. Their existence is pure myth. But you (Main character) are special, you are of the bloodline. You are the changer of this World. Will you finish what your kind started, or will you watch the world burn. Sorry for being so long, tell me what you think!

    How does my forest look?

Just looking for some basic feedback! I spent a lot of time making this forest and included two in-game level screenshots of it as well, one during the day-time, and one during the night-time. Full forest: Day Close-Up: Night Close-Up:

    Dialogue Feedback

I have come up with a few dialogues for a game I'm making. Convo between Konata and Retnuh Konata: Retnuh, where is my high-ranking officer, Grillin? Retnuh: He has been captured... by Danielle the vigilante. Konata: Danielle? You mean to tell me you lost to Danielle!? Retnuh: She is stronger than she looks, Lord Konata. Konata: Do you know what Grillin holds!? He was my castle's guardian in the very beginning when I and the others became Gods!!! The secrets of the Gods are at the fingertips of Danielle! I know Grillin, and you're lucky he has tough skin. How do you manage to lose to her in one-on-one combat!? Retnuh: She is quite skilled in the class of speed. Konata: I will rescue Grillin myself. To redeem yourself, I suggest you get the Orb of the Cursed Dragon from that pirate, Fishero. Retnuh: I will not fail you, Lord Konata. Konata: Take Alyssa with you in case any... surprises come up. Retnuh: Will do, my liege. I will add that Grillin is heavily protected by Alexanderson and Knighterius, Konata: I am a God, Retnuh. You will do well to remember that. What do you think?
  19. Hello there everyone, i've posted a few times here and there, but i've never really saught to openly advertise myself or show my face that much, mainly because im somewhat shy. ^^ I want to try to introduce myself without sounding like im bragging...So i think in the only way to do that, so people don't think i'm lying just to make myself look good. So i'm going to screenshot what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'd rather screenshot these, instead of openly saying people say my music is within the AAA Ranks, because then people would automatically assume im an arrogant person with no particular talent and i have an over headed ego... Because AAA is like when Final Fantasy's music was REALLY good, you thought of good video game music and you instantly brought up Final Fantasy. Those times. Here is my soundcloud, where i upload my own video game music. https://soundcloud.com/insydnis This is where i upload my electronica. https://soundcloud.com/djobscure Coming from my own point of view on myself, i don't think im THAT good. xD but hey, as long as the fans are happy with the music then that's all that should really matter right? I have a passion for making music and i love to inspire other musicians! And i'm very linient with the distributions. i will gladly let you use any of it, so long as you give me proper credit! I'll even work for you for FREE (You descide wheather to pay me or not.) I'm just looking for more opinions and possibly feedback and meet and greet new people with interests in music and to introduce myself and meet and talk to people, hopefully make some friends! Thanks for reading all of this
  20. Not sure if this is supposed to posted here. I think this forum must have a Resource WIP thread like one on RMW forums. This is both a suggestion and a request because a lot of people need help and feedback from others on their WIP work to make it better Thank you, replies much appreciated!

    A Matter Of Opinion

Hello guys I'm working on a game using somewhat of a bust/bubble system. It looks like that: Thing is (and it may be just me) to my eye it's kinda... empty; Like something is missing. ..so i came up adding a small semi-transparent frame with the character's name on it to fill the emptiness. Looks like this: ..and because this is a dark map, i've added the same pic with a different background so you can see the difference better. without the frame... ..and with it. or even darken the background while the bust pops up? Aaahh, so many ways to do things. I need to choose one to move forward with the game. But which one? What do YOU think?
  22. I recently had to restart this project and I got a new idea but I wanna see what ya'll think. Weapon Types Disc(My fav): Discs are not strong but can adapt to a lot of situations. You can buy more skills by buying the Red(i)Discism. Critical chance is increased by 2% and MP Cost is decreased by 10%.(Light Weapon) Swords: Strongest weapon that attacks a single enemy. Has very few spread moves where it attacks all enemies but it mostly attacks one. Health increases by 2%.(Heavy Weapon) Daggers: The weakest weapon in the game but gives you a 20% speed bonus. Like swords, it has spread moves but is mostly attacks one enemy.(Light Weapon) Heavy Gun: Is a spread weapon. 1/2 damage of the sword but spread to all enemies. 10% chance cripple enemies. This is the strongest weapon. It is solely spread so it can come to a disadvantage when fighting only one enemy. Decreases speed by 20%.(Heavy Weapon) Average Gun: The total opposite of the Heavy Gun. Solely attacks one enemy. Speed is increased by 10%.(Average Weapon) Battlestaff: Like the Discs, it can adapt to many situations. It's a well-averaged weapon that is stronger than discs. It does a increase your MP by 1% and increases you Max Mana by 15% but decreases your speed by 10%.(Average Weapon) Weapon System(by DiamondandPlatinum3) You get weapon type bonuses, the more you use a certain weapon type over and over. For example, if you use the discs constantly then after using them for a long time you'll get disc bonuses which could be skills, stats, etc. If you want to add any ideas concerning weapons plz tell me. Stats MHP = Max Health MMP - Max Mana Atk - Heavy Strength Mat - Medium Strength Mdf - Light Strength Luk - Item Strength Agi - Speed Ss(Extra Stat script) - Skill Strength (Heavy Strength + Medium Strength + Light Strength) / 3 = Skill Strength 3 Classes - Favored Stat Heavy - Heavy Str. Medium - Medium Str. Light - Light Str. Attributes when level up When you level up, you have points you can spend on your stats. The stats you spend the points on are Max Health, Max Mana, Heavy strength, Medium strength, Light strength, and speed. This is where you'll get to decide to invest in one, two, or all classes. Boosters It takes the place of Accessories. You have Heavy Boosters, Medium Boosters, Light Boosters, and Overall Boosters. Each has it's own requirements. Heavy Boosters - Requires a certain amount of Heavy Strength Medium Boosters - Requires a certain amount of Medium Strength Light Boosters - Requires a certain amount of Light Strength Overall Boosters - Requires a certain amount of Skill Strength Combat based on Elements For example, if you're an Ice Warrior, fire damage will have a +25% damage on you. I can't upload the chart so here it is... Fire > Ice > Nature > War > Mythic > Lightning > Fire Each element have 2 elements they are weakened to and 2 they are strong against. Fire > Nature > Mythic > Fire Ice > Lightning > War > Ice Prime has no weakness nor strengths(The best element in the game) For those who knew this game from before, I took out Chaos and Peace. And Prime is just as strong as any other element but with a few extra perks. Each element inflicts it's own state... Fire - Burnt Ice - Freezing Lightning - Shocked Mythic - Cursed Nature - Poison War - Bleeding and Bruised Prime - Forsaken and Drain Note: Some of these will intersect. For example, the Venomous Scratch. It's a nature move but does poison and bleeding. States Note: You do not have to read through all of them!!! I'm going to name all my states and what they do. Death - Death Burnt - Health decrease by 1% and fire damage has a +20% effectiveness. Freezing - Speed is decreased by 20% and ice damage has a +20% effectiveness. Shocked - MP decreases by 2% and lightning damage has a +20% effectiveness. Cursed - Attack is decreased by 10% and mythic damage has a +20% effectiveness. Poison - Health decrease by 1% and nature damage has a +20% effectiveness. Bleeding - Health decreases by 1% and war damage has a +10% effectiveness. Bruised - Defense is decreased by 10% and war damage has a +10% effectiveness. Forsaken - Attack and Defense decrease by 10% and prime damage has a +15% effectiveness. Drain - Health and MP is decreased by 5% and prime damage has a +15% effectiveness. Warmonger's Rage - Attack is increased by 15%. Heated - Fire damage has -25% effectiveness to the one inflicted(Used only by fire users) Strangle - Speed is decreased by 50% and HP decreased by 3%. Inner Flame - Magical/Ranged damage decreased by 10%. Ice Barrier - Fire and War effectiveness decreased by 10%. Swamp - Disables all fire and ice abilities and HP decreases by 1%. Flashbang - Speed is decreased by 50% and hit rate is decreased by 50%. Thrown - Speed is decreased by 80%, can't be targeted, and HP decreases by 15%. Right Arm Crippled - Attack decreased by 10%. Left Arm Crippled - Attack decreased by 10%. Head Crippled - Hit rate decreased by 20%. Body Crippled - Max Health is decreased by 10%. Right Leg Crippled - Speed decreased by 10%. Left Leg Crippled - Speed decreased by 10%. Note: Crippling is done by using certain Weaponry skills(Crippling skills must be bought) Note: Crippling most common in Heavy Weapons. 25. Defensive Stance - Speed decreased by 15%, counter attack chance increased by 15%. 26. Ouch Stance - Speed increased by 1000%, learn one move, can only use that move next turn. Note: The move you learn will remove the Ouch Stance once you do the move. 27. Fell - Defense decreased by 20% and speed decreased by 30%. 28. Cyber Tag - Defense decreased by 10% and target rate increased by 30%. 29. Invisible - Can't be targeted. 30. Guardian - Substitute for allies who's health is lower. 31. Syphon Shield - Damage taken decreases by 50% but decreases MP by 10% each turn it's active. 32. Tiring Recovery - HP increases by 10% and MP Cost increases by 20%. 33. Second Chance - Immune to death for 3 turns. 34. Soul Hold - Make a dead enemy immune to being revived 35. Hell - All fire damage from both friend and foe is increased by 15%. Enemies HP decreases by 2%. 36. Arena - All war damage from both friend and foe is increased by 15%. Enemies defense decreases by 15%. 37. Nature's Garden - All nature damage from both friend and foe increases by 15%. Note: This state is in a move called "Nature's Garden" and this state is combined with strangle. The move will strangle two random enemies. 38. World of Soulz - All Mythic damage from both friend and foe is increased by 15%. Enemies MP decreases by 5% and all allies MP increases by 5%. 39. Ice Mania - All Ice damage from both friend and foe is increased by 15%. MP cost for all enemies increased by 15%. 40. Stormy Weather - All lightning damage for both friend and foe is increased by 15%. Enemies' MP decreases by 5% and their Max Mana is decreased by 20%. 41. Heaven - All prime damage for both friend and foe is increased by 15%. All enemies' MP and HP decreases by 3% and their Max HP and Max MP is decreased by 15%. 42. Swift Stance - Speed is increased by 20% but attack is decreased by 20%. Note: You will learn a move. You'll be restricted to only use that moves. After you use it, it'll remove the state. 43. Reaper form - Learn the skill "Soul Steal", attack is doubled, speed has increased by 50%, and damage taken has decreased by 50%. I had more but I made them into boosters instead of states. Last thing... Story Shawn is a well-known warrior. Vectra found out Shawn inherited the soul reaper power. Shawn has the ability to steal souls. Vectra was impressed and promoted him to the top ranks. Shawn was a loyal servant to the powerful triple(Vectra, Konata, and KFC). Unfortunately, that didn't last much longer. Shawn saw the corruption within the 3 Gods and left. He sworn that he'll kill all three of them. Shawn is now leading a resistance group called "X-Squad". Vectra and Konata don't see Shawn as a real threat but KFC thinks otherwise. Is he right to think so? What you think? If you have any ideas to add I'd be happy to hear them.
  23. There we are... Kids, Teens and Grownups... all with one goal in mind, we all share the same passion. The creation of games. Sitting whole days & nights in front of our PC's creating... Some do better than others, while some struggle to understand 'the way' it's done. Some will give up along the way, some will not. I often find myself depressed 'melting' before my PC, bitchin about a script that doesn't work... Then i often turn to the community. This community. It is amazing really that, most of the times instantly, i get responses from people (that's all of you) trying to help me out. Me. A completely stranger. Why? I don't know why, but it is amazing. I get responses, i get advise, i get guidance. The community helps me to understand, to overcome, to resolve the problems. And then i realize that it was my fault the script didn't worked. It was my fault, because i didn't really understood how it worked or because i didn't followed the instructions the coder has set step by step. So at that moment i get two feelings. First is i get ashamed, i feel like an idiot and i get angry with myself for bitchin the coder's work and the second is i feel proud for the people who spend so much time to create scripts (tools) for us to work with. I mean, they don't expect something in return for this, yet they do it. Again and again and again... It is remarkable really... Keeping that in mind, i just wanted to thank every single one of them for their work, for their patience with all of us who have questions, for their passion. I want to thank every single one of you, every single one member of this community for doing what you possibly can to help others with their problems... Sincerely, you cannot put a price on that. This is the value of the community. Because we all share the same passion. From heart, thank you!
  24. The story I've been working on for quite awhile, so I'll post that to see what you guys think of it. It is around the late 90's period. The main character is a high school student who happens to be living with his brother/guardian. What he doesn't understand is that years before, his brother went to a certain college but dropped out before graduating. His brother never really explained the reason why to his little brother. He simply told him vague answers and dodged the question. Due to the main characters young age, he didn't question it. Neither did he question the college's abandonment shortly after. Years later, at the main characters high school, rumors circle about the high school getting renovated after being in use for a very long time. The main character is reminded of what his brother told him years before. When he is picked up at school by his brother, he decides to take a nap due to the high school being a little under an hour away from their house. He has a dream of a damaged black obelisk in a clock tower. As he ascends the tower, the rooms become more and more grotesque as fleshy appendages dot the walls and a slight ringing in his ears occur. Being able to choose whether or not he touches the obelisk will have some impact later in the story. Whatever he chooses, the dream will end. He will have a conversation with his brother about the college and question him as to why he dropped out. Naturally, his brother will give vague answers. When they get home, the player will be able to convince the protagonist's brother to come with him to the college or go alone depending on what they choose. Either way, the main character goes to the college to unveil the secrets the college holds and try to understand what happened there. What he doesn't know is that the force against him is the obelisk itself, which holds an imprisoned being that was uncovered by a team of interns working for archeologists in another country. It slowly became more aware of its surroundings, driving some at the college insane, especially the students that were examining it. For others, it killed them, manipulated them to kill others, and caused physical decay of the actual school itself. The main characters brother was one of the few to survive because he escaped the school. After then, the school was considered abandoned. No bodies were found, and the few that survived lost their memories of the incidents. The being warps reality to show what it wants others to see, or nothing at all. The main character will be for all intents and purposes its plaything as he explores the school. It is the cosmic horror the story will be based upon. Any plot holes, constructive criticism, etc would be appreciated as I want to nail this story down well.
