  1. Summer Fight Nights

    Along with Flailcast (where I blindly, but completely play through a game), my Magically Delicious St. Patrick's Day Special, and others, I want to do a LOT of fighting game playthroughs and have their own separate category set up. The idea is I give myself 3 credits and see how far I can go. With a lot of these, I may only need one, but I'll give myself 3 just in case. The idea here is try to pick some awesome, bizarre, and/or otherwise obscure fighting games. One I can already envision doing that not a whole lot of people seem to know about is Waku Waku 7. In any case, if you have any strange, weird, or obscure suggestions or just games you'd like me to play that are fighting games, let me know. I'll post my plays here.

  3. I'm basically just looking for a script that when you do a script call your character goes to the nearest enemy and starts attacking them with normal attack and uses skills/potions if they have it and if it's possible and also if they press any arrow keys it stops the auto fight.
  4. so im looking to make my own kind of system for battles since i dont wnat it to be like a typical rpg. The best way i can describe how i want it is, to be similer to pokemon, however instead of capturing monsters you and your party member will be learning up to 6 different moves depending on your class when you start the game. I want it to be just 1 attack button, where "magic" skills can also be done, and then high level skills can be in another catagory and items and then the last one will be defend or run away, ( i guess similer to super mario rpg or super star saga) Would i need to make a custom script with ruby programming to do this, or would this be possible to do within the program without any kind of mods? thank you in advance.
  5. Action battle script

    I've looked everywhere for a non-menu battle script but I am so far incapable of finding anything that works for me. The only tutorial I found for one was for XP and required things I did not have. What I need is for when he player presses space it triggers a sound, a small animation. And decreases enemy hit points within a one tile radius. Is this possible and can it be easily implemented into my game?
  6. Well... This is RPG Maker related forum, so let's have an RPG battle! Rules have changed! RULES The BOSS has 1000 Maximum HP. We have two Actors: Eric and Natalie; both have 100 maximum HP. Each turn (post) both actors take their moves. Both can attack, use skills, spells and buffs. Avoid casting OP skills/spells/buffs, keep this game balanced. Also, our actors have HP REGENERATION, which recovers their HP by 1 each turn (post). Since real-time battle cannot be simulated: I will act as the BOSS once each day, no exceptions. His skill, damage and target will be randomized by Random Number Generator. Boss has two skills: ATTACK & FIRE BREATH. ATTACK: Deals 10-25 damage to one actor. FIRE BREATH: Deals 6 - 15 damage to all actors. Only Natalie can heal actors. Still for very low amount ~6 in total. Adding more characters is prohibited. Using OP skills, spells and buffs is prohibited. By OP I mean "Eric uses invulnerable buff - they don't take any damage for 5 turns! OR "Eric uses Fiery Fart! - Boss took 100 damage! Actors damage is very low. They can hit for around 1-5 damage. It's a simple countdown game with RPG elements. If you notice someone breaking the rules, ignore *OP* stuff or his/her post. Don't push that further. Let's see how far we can get. LET'S CHECK THE POWER OR THE RPG MAKER VX ACE COMMUNITY! Maybe if we kill that boss we'll get experience, so that making games in RPG maker would be easier for us. --- LET'S FIGHT! --- > BOSS ATTACKS! > HERO TOOK 25 DAMAGE!   7. Hello there, everyone. Firstly, "Fight for Control" is not the name of the game, although it kind of would fit the idea. Anyway. Here we go: In an Archipelago formed by 4 Islands (None of them have a name yet. The three medium-sized ones are surrounding the one in the Center, which is the biggest and where most part of the things happen), there are three different Evil Teams that fight each other to take over the archipelago. Between these fights, there's not interruption because there's no Uprising or Group of Rebels, so it's always a fight for control, never for freedom between these three teams for their own purposes. Now I'll describe the relevant characters from each of the Three teams (and the name of each team itself): "Where is the protagonist?" You may be asking yourselves, well, you will discover where is the protagoinist Spiral Empire (Rules the archipelago currently) Empire Leader aka Emperor Darius Just like all the other Leaders of every other team in the archipelago, he fights using a Techno-blade Twinblade. Darius is known in his team for being the best fighter in the team. Unfortunately, recent events have caused him to be almost unable to fight. Now he needs the Co-Leader and the Admins to protect him, or else he's basically defenseless. Empire Co-Leader aka Co-Emperor Cody Has a really interesting personality. He's known for having betrayed about 10 teams all around the world, but he seems to be very loyal to the Empire. That's why some people call him "The Loyal Traitor". He is a great spy and traitor, as you see. His weapons are two revolvers and a knife, which are old for the time which the game is happening. Even though these weapons seem to be useless for his time, he doesn't care, because he always knows how to solve his problems with two simple revolvers and a knife. He refuses to change his weapons, which is also interesting. Empire Admins Kai, Mike and Emi (Protagonists) Kai is not completely serious in general, except during battles. He has already been the leader of 3 different Empire Troops while fighting the other Teams. He fights with a Techno-blade Sword. Mike fights with a Techno-blade Spear and, because of that, he works as a Support Warrior. He may be unable to fight certain enemies by himself, but that definitely doesn't mean he is not important. Has only been the leader of 1 Emprie Troop. Emi fights with a Lightning Bow & Arrow and has already been the leader of 2 different Empire Troops during attacks on other Team bases. She never forgets to take a fight seriously to help the Empire. Vortex Domain Vortex Leader Sirius A very serious, calm and technologically powerful man, leads the Vortex Domain and uses all the technology he has to attack other Teams. His weapon is a Techno-blade Twinblade, as I said before. Vortex Admins Syrth and Asthar They fight with two Techno-blade Swords. There's nothing special you can tell about the Vortex Admins, since they are minor characters in this game. Elite Shadow Shadow Leader Damon Obsessive for evolution, thinks that it's taking too long for it to happen. He always thinks that the technology used currently (in the game) is not enough and Evolution has to happen faster. His known phrase is "Let the evolution.. begin." He calls this obsession "Operation Evolution". Shadow Admins Ernest, Matt and Darron Ernest fights with a Techno-blade Sword and hates whoever he considers his "enemies" and will try doing everything to get rid of them. Matt fights with his own hands, he thinks he doesn't need any weapons and, surprisingly or not, he's not considered a Support Warrior. Darron is too mysterious and serious. He uses his Power Gloves to release the power of Fire and Lightning. Do NOT believe for a single moment that he is your friend, because he is really agressive and powerful. Story After serious injuries from the last fight, Darius stayed for a long time without fighting and lost his skills. The fight has also caused the death of the three Empire Admins, which means the Spiral Empire needs new Admins. The Co-Leader Cody suggests Darius to name Kai, Mike and Emi the new Empire Admins. After that happens, they are sent to invade, defeat and destroy the other Teams and their bases with the help of just some Empire Members/Soldiers. During the game, you'll see how people live their lives after the Spiral Empire took over the archipelago and that the objectives of the Teams are selfish in the end of everything. They'll see that, the team they are working for and all the other teams are ruining people's lives to achieve their objectives. And that's it for now. I can't tell much more or else it will be >>SPOILER<< and I don't want to do that. So, tell me, what did you think?
  8. Hello guys. As a person who knows almost nothing about ruby and scripting at all, I'd like to ask you for help. I'm completely okay with using the standard battle system (unless anyone knows one that is very similar, with really helpful add-ons) but I'd like it to be in real time. Meaning - I'd like a bar that would fill up, and when it does - the player/monster can attack or use skills. I'm not sure how is that called exactly, hence my lack of ability to find it. If anyone knows where I can find either of those things (Cooldown bar; battle system with add-ons), please let me know.
  9. Hi all, I apologize if this has been asked before, but here is my question. Is it possible to have battles set where a question comes across and you have to answer it correctly to do damage? These questions would come from a pool of questions randomly that I would write and give multiple choice answers. The reason I ask is because this is on sale at steam (I'm sure all are aware) and I am thinking of making an educational game for my students. I thought it would be a fun way to get them to actually study. So again, can the battle mechanics be modified to allow a question/answer format? All comments and questions are welcomed, and im getting desperate, is theres something like this already please tell me and no pearl abs and xas is not what im looking for, to many button for skills and items, and I like the auto-battle function....

  12. Alright, first off, sorry if this is in the wrong spot... I couldn't decide where I was supposed to put this question. So, if it's in the wrong spot, so very sorry. So a quick description of what I'm trying to do: My main character walks into the town's pub, and begins to witness a bar fight. I want to know if it's possible when doing this as an Autorun event to make the sprite who is punched (I used 'show animation' so there's a sound effect and a little impact animation as well as 'Move Route' to have him jump back a bit, of course) to fall down, and use its corresponding 'Damage' sprite. Y'know, the ones that are lying on the ground wounded? Thanks in advance to those who try to help me out with this.
