  1. I started to make a game called Venus: Restoration that takes place in the future several thousand years after Earth became unstable. The only problem is I am having an extremely hard time coming up with the intro of how it became humanity's new home that others will not question. This is all I can think of right now and I really need some feedback on it. I am so frustrated that I am about to cry even though I shouldn't. I am very sorry if this post doesn't belong here. I don't know where else to put it. Venus: Restoration By Megan Byrd(RoseGuardian) -How Venus became humanity’s new home- In the year 3897 A.D. strange things started to happen to Earth. Storms became wild, lakes, and even oceans began to dry up. No one knew what was causing these strange events. One day however a mysterious man appeared to the world. Many people said to him; “Who are you, God?†The man laughed and said; “No, I am Damon God of Destruction and it’s time for you all you mortal fools to bow down to me!†No one would listen to him so he used his power to dry lakes, oceans and kill crops and animals. There was barely any food and water. The people of Earth prayed for all this to stop. Then finally on a day where everything seemed hopeless another man appeared. He was known as many things, but to the people he became known as The Creator of all things. He knew the people of Earth couldn’t stop Damon, so he fought against himself and trapped him with the Earth. However after the battle Earth became unstable so The Creator chose to give his people another chance and made Venus livable. He then teleported the survivors there and recreated the oceans, lakes, plants and animals Earth once had. Several thousand years have passed since then and no one on Venus truly knows that story of Earth was true or just myth. Many stories of Earth are now only mentioned in books. No true history of its existence was recorded. It was long forgotten by time itself. I really hope you guys and girls can help me come up with either a better intro or how to make it sound better so no one will question it.
  2. So, I have been writing the storyline of my game Sol Et Luna (soon to be, still planning) and this is where I stopped: Story: In the beginning, Theos entrusted the world to his two beloved sons, Abel and Cain. Abel tended the days, bearing light, hope and nurture to the world while Cain tended the night sky, to where he brought rest, happiness, content and love to mankind. Theos ordered each of them to present whatever good happens to their work, and so they did. Abel offered the crops, the fields and the beautiful places illuminated during the day to his father. Cain presented hundreds and thousands of good things happening during the night, for at night, there was rest and end to humanity’s all day work, struggle or blood and sweat to live. Cain said to his brother: “I am better than you, for what have you offered to father but crops and fields? Those shall die without my morning dew, the people will die without rest, and too much light, shall all die.†Abel kept silent and offered what he has to his father and so did Cain. But Theos never appreciated Cain’s work, nor have ever once praised him. The silent Abel got the praises and all compliments, which angered Cain. When Abel was about to set and leave, Cain took his morning star and murdered his brother. The blood of Abel cried to Theos and reached Shamayim, the abode of the god Theos. When Theos heard his murdered son’s cries, he punished Cain, disowned him and told him to leave away his mark. He was caged for all eternity to the depths of Sheol, while the grave of Abel was placed in the mountain of Zion. In his sadness, Theos blessed the days and gave it to humanity, while the acts of Cain brought over his evil heart and created different monsters that roam at night. Thousands of years passed, a legend was passed over humanity that whosoever climbs Zion, shall be given the secrets of life and miracles, which the humans called the Methuselah. Daniel and his friends are abandoned by their parents at an early age. They were not given love and have been forgotten, thus, staying at the Charity House until they reached sixteen. However, when visions started bothering Daniel, he knew that a change on his abandoned life is about to come. Monsters are now attacking the humanity and evil thrones to the world. Who are the Methusalah? Do they exist? Did Theos also abandon humanity? Mechanics: Style Mapping: Pixel Render, Parallax Mapping, Tileset (Probably DS or High Fantasy) Battle System: Default Battle System using a custom battle engine I created myself through scripts Music: Outsourced I am also planning to insert some mini games, but what I want is what you can say about the game story or a feedback at the preview. Thanks
  3. I was taking some thought on tackling my first mythology based game to be created on RMVXA. I wrote down a few conflicts that might be the cause of the whole game's story and the development of the characters. I am however, still on the thought of revising this idea, so story writers who are more capable than me of thinking of a good and better conflict, please give your honest feedbacks and critiques. Origin: This is the origin of the game story's creation, taken from the Philippine Mythology: Thousands of years ago, there was no land, sun, moon, or stars, and the world was only a great sea of water, above which stretched the sky. The water was the kingdom of the god Maguayan, and the sky was ruled by the great god, Kaptan. Maguayan had a daughter called Lidagat, the sea, and Kaptan had a son known as Lihangin, the wind. The gods agreed to the marriage of their children, so the sea became the bride of the wind. A daughter and three sons were born to them. The sons were called Likalibutan, Liadlao, and Libulan, and the daughter received the name of Lisuga. Main Conflict: When Asuang (The evil god who always try to steal the sacred fire of Mount Mayon from his brother, Gugurang. Addressed sometimes as Asuang, he dwells mainly inside Mount Malinao. As an evil god, he would cause the people to suffer misfortunes and commit sins.) finally stole the fire of Mount Mayon from his brother Gugurang after slaying him on the time of his weakness, Gugurang, on his final breath, created a Memory Ball where his memories are stored and transferred it somewhere on the mountains. The world falls into turmoil when Asuang went down to the land and taught people how to use fire and light, and many people became greedy, evil, and the rulers of each Puod (or in English, Kingdom) fell into war. Guided by the mercy of the gods, each Elemental Gods and Goddesses promised to lend their powers to for the worthy 'successors' in return of returning the stolen Fire of Mount Mayon and stop Asuang before he finally controls the other deities and gain the favor of the evil gods. --- Cliche as it may seems, what do you think of the Game World and Game Story?
  4. I have been writing this game story a year ago and I have been thinking what could have been the drawbacks or something I should have changed over the past year I have been storyboarding it. Anyways, I'll post it here: The Game World The game consists of 4 Kingdoms and 1 Great Nation where each faces a problem in their Politics, Social Welfare, Culture and Philosophy. They are in peace with each other and currently decided to make the peace talk into a treaty, called the Treaty of Sofia. Each Kingdom also has their own distinct and unique kinds of fighting styles, martial languages and abilities. Great Nation of Marianess About The Great Nation of Marianess is the Central Kingdom of all the 4 Neighboring Kingdoms (Stolka, Tasaria, Kaleisha and Monoleva). Long before the Kingdoms came into peace, King Rou and Queen Adelfa of Marianess suggested peace and ordered a treaty. Tired of turmoil and unending battle towards each other, the 4 Kingdoms agreed. Queen Adelfa kept the Treaty of Sofia under strict guard and hired the strongest fighters in each of the Kingdom to guard it. The four great warriors of the four kingdoms are called the ‘Four Avatars of the Great Nation of Marianess’. They Great Nation existed to see balance over the four kingdoms and ensure peace. Trade, Communication, Politics, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Emotional Issues are being tackled by the Great Nation to make sure that everything is at peace and no war will break out. The current ruler Princess Mirai of the Great Nation of Marianess is facing the greatest fear of her time as a ruler. She heard that Prince Eric of Kaleisha has created a faction in the intent of killing his own mother. Mirai orders the third avatar Annaline of Kaleisha to secure that her homeland shall not fall into war. Annaline heard the news from King Jurion’s men that it was King Dietrich who plotted this all along to start a war. Annaline goes back to Marianess to report this, but later killed by an unknown Talisman User. King Jurion thinks that the Talisman User might be ‘Kalim Knightress’, Jurion’s childhood friend. Roles The player will take the role of a Marianess Elite Soldier ordered by Princess Mirai to investigate the death of Annaline. The player will not be able to use weapon skills, talisman nor magic but rather depends on the items Princess Mirai will give called the “Artifacts of Marianessâ€. These artifacts contain enough number to support the player’s expedition. The player must also find the Talisman User who killed Annaline and deliver the assassin back to Marianess. Stolka About The people Kingdom of Stolka are once, according to their history, barbarians and blacksmiths. After the war with the people of Tasaria, Stolkan people decided to harness their skills as blacksmiths and thus mastering the different weapons of the world. They also later on invented weapon styles, skills and designs that later gave them the reputation and title as the ‘Best Blacksmiths Kingdom’. Stolka is facing a problem about their current Kingdom’s status, as a group of Barbarian and Magic Users kidnapped Princess Parissa of Stolka in exchange of abolishing the ‘Sentry Guild’ that according to the rebels, killed their families, as well as the execution of the King of Stolka who is rumored to be the mastermind of these killings. Because of their barbaric race, Stolkan people are non-magic / talisman users. Classes The Kingdom of Stolka has the following warrior classes and unique skills: • Guardian – The Guardians are Axe Users. They are purely strong and invincible in battle due to their powerful attacks and high survivability. • Hunter – The Hunters are invincible blade warriors. They believe in balance and order, thus practicing overall balance on their fighting status. Unlike the Guardians and Lancers, Hunters has the lowest initial battle survivability (HP). • Lancer – The Lancers are war masters. Because of their wide knowledge in war strategies, they are invincible both in individual and group combats. The Lancer skills focus on individual or grouped targets which allow them to finish a group of enemies with their powerful blows. • Deathstalker – The Deathstalkers are Mace / Club weapon users. They focus on power, speed and the total domination over their enemies. King Uenoss of Stolka is a Deathstalker. 5. A game story idea inspired from Paolo Coelho's "The Alchemist". Title: Alchemist Hunters Summary: The world is a beautiful place, humanity is filled with love, happiness and hope. But not everyone is happy with that, a group of miracle creating people who called themselves "Alchemists" has turned to their own evil ways, terrorizing the land with their Alchemy. However, this is not the main mission of these Alchemists, each of them are in the search of their Personal Treasure, which is said to be located in the Tree of Life. A good hearted Alchemist named Theos foresaw that each of the other Alchemists' greed will consume them and turn into evil just to get these treasures, thus hiring four warriors to hunt these Alchemists and assassinate them, they are called the Alchemist Hunters, namely Ainmire: The Berserker, Clara: The Martial Artist, Thray: The Swordsman and Cera: The Paladin. It was later revealed to the Alchemist Hunters that the name of the person who started the evil among the Alchemists is named "Melchizedek", a greedy King who uses the Urim andThummim stones and has been said to have used the Philosopher's Stone to achieve Immortality. Melchizedek's power is absolute and pure evil, knowing that the Alchemist Hunters would soon defeat the other Alchemist and soon go after his head, Melchizedek creates the hunters' ultimate foe: Santiago - the first Homunculus. ---- Note: THIS IS STILL AN IDEA.
