    GodSword

Abstract: Two girls fight over a magic sword, but must learn to cooperate in order to survive. Genre: Fantasy Average play time: 10-14 hours depending on how much derp you do. Game Progression: Acts 1 and 2 completed, Act 3 50%. Have planned roughly 6 Acts, though nothing concrete. As this is a solo project, can't give an ETA on total 100% completion. Most of the groundwork is in place though, so moving forward shouldn't be as difficult. Story: The Divas Sword, an artifact of ancient Tessan Mythology, has been guarded by the Tessan Sect for hundreds of years. It is said to have been given to Tessa by the Allfather, to defeat the evil Demon, Sabas. The Sect believes that someday a worthy successor to Saint Tessa will arise to claim the Sword. The story begins with a group of Initiates, who hope to finish their trials and become Handmaidens of Tessa. But one of them has loftier ambitions. Main Characters: Shan: A young girl with an inherent command of White Magic, and no sense of responsibility. Selene: Has spent her entire life preparing herself for the ultimate trail, that of retreiving the Divas Sword and becoming the Heir of Tessa. Donna: A Handmaiden of the Sect who could have claimed the Divas Sword a decade ago, but gave up. Thren: A smarmy ladies man who seems to possess a vast amount of knowledge. Jedos: A freelance monster hunter who has a past history with the Tessan Sect. Leigha: A powerful Pyromancer with mysterious motivations. Credits: This is probably going to be ridiculously long, I'm just following the instructions! I'm not going to track down each and every thread. Casper Game Info came from: http://www.caspergaming.com/ Misc Icons by Kaduki, Whitecat, Avery, and Ying. Faces made with Facemaker 3.0 Custom Frankensprites that I made myself or with Saphiro Character Maker XP Both programs available at http://blog.rpgmakertimes.info as of March 2014 Misc sound effects from http://www.sounddogs.com and http://soundbible.com Music from the RMN Music Pack at http://rpgmaker.net (with additional submissions by Subaru, jasprelao, Snowy Fox, Cornflake, Nathangday), the Rebel Rapture Music Pack by Murray Atkinson, Bloodlust by Aaron Krogh, also http://www.vgmusic.com, and some that I am composing myself. Shopkeeper portraits by Archeia and Scinaya (not Wren though I made that one myself, pretty good huh?) https://divisionheaven.wordpress.com This game uses RPG Maker XP sprites and tilesets (and my bastardizations of them). I bought XP several years ago as a digital download, then my hard drive crashed and I'm not buying it again. I emailed Enterbrain asking if I could get my email address verified for a replacement key but they never replied to me and that was like over a year ago. Long story short I have the right to use XP resources in a VX Ace project. Screenshots: Here's a battle scene! Selene teleports around and drains life and stuff! Exciting! Selene tells Shan what's up! Here's a look at the AP screen where you get to spend your Advancement Points! Just look at how OverPowered Luck is now! And here is Shan in a Blindfold and a Halter Top, fighting a group of confused Harpies, while Donna attempts to smack one in the head with a half-empty wine bottle that she just took three massive gulps from! Features: You get an FP Skill Point system instead of MP that starts at 500 and gives you 25 Crosscuts or Fire Spells until you drink some 5 money potion that fills them all up again. Different weapons display differently on character battlers. A broadsword, claymore, and greatsword all have different battler models. Fire swords are red, Thunder swords are yellow, etc etc. AP Points that you can spend on character attributes every level. Mags that can be equipped and fed to increase stats and abilities. Gemstones that can be added for further customization. No random battles or party micromanagement. Most monsters walk on the map, and your party is automatically healed to full after a fight. Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xsai2b0djkl4wav/GodSword.exe Known Issues and Updates: 7/15/2016 2:58PM If you have NumLock enabled, Shift Sprinting can become stuck until you mash Shift and punch your keypad a dozen times. Solution: Don't have NumLock enabled. (Thank Liberty for this). There's a new bug in Act 2 where enemies using Holder-Style battlersheets do not perform their collapse effect when they die to DoT damage. I've fixed this half a dozen times in various places, but now it needs to be fixed yet again, for enemies who have the "Not Disappear" flag. I'll look into it eventually, but it's not a high priority atm as it doesn't actually break anything. No Popups appear over Party Members who get healed by Starcross, as those heals come from a Custom Damage Formula rather than an attribute in the Database, but to compensate I made little green plus symbols that will animate over their heads to indicate that heals did occur. Now that I've been permabanned by EABioware, I'll have more time to work on Act 3.

Recruitment: Music Enemy Art/Sprites Character Portraits/Busts [For Text Speech Boxes] Mapper Story / Setting / Purpose: Humanity has achieved the ability to travel the stars, and the years of cataloging and mapping from the perspective of earth has led them to a few choice candidate planets for colonization. Through the years, no signs of alien life have been detected, leading humanity to decide that there must not be anything within the range of detect-ability, and that the planets they've found that could be habitable should be considered for colonization of Earth's growing population. A few ships are prepared and sent out to the nearby systems for inspection. Meanwhile, a woman lands on a backwater planet looking for something, or someone, and a soldier chases destruction. 4. Forest at the edge of the world: Abstract: A villain gets dragged into a quest to save a village. Genre: Fantasy, Dungeon crawler Average Demo Time: 1:30 / 2 hours Game Progression: 50% Story / Setting / Purpose: As Desmond, hot and upcoming villain your life was simple: exploring crypts and ruins in search of the ultimate power while (non-lethally, you're not very good at this evil thing) fending off would be heroes. This all changes when your life is saved by a feisty fairy named Meera and a woman named Dinah and you end up unwittingly questing to save Dinah's hometown. As a side note, this game takes place in the same universe as my other game and roughly at the same time as well. So they both share lore and a few nods. This game was originally made for the Indie in a Week 4 contest. Character Bios: Desmond: (I was very tempted to call him Oscar, if you know what I mean) Our hero, or shall we say villain. A self proclaimed force of evil whose megalomania is crippled by certain thoughtful tendencies. He sees himself as a smart individual and a creative mastermind, but it remains to be seen how much of that is true. Mirroring Riev from The Messenger and the Cursed One, Desmond is a magic/melee hybrid, though he has a higher emphasis on magic. His skillset is very varied and he can cause several crippling status effects on foes. Meera: (No, it's not KilloZapit, stop asking) Having left the fairy kingdom, this knight wanders the land in search of a purpouse. She seems to have found one as a Jiminy cricket styled conscience for our wayward villain. She quickly strikes a deal with him to be his familiar, only to start bossing him around the next minute and force him into helping Dinah's village. Also mirroring a character from TMatCO, Meera acts pretty much like Gia: she's a straight up melee warrior, though unlike her predecessor, she has a variety of support spells to keep her relevant when things require Desmond's magical touch. Eric: You know him, you love him. Eric is your typical hero and right now his mission is stopping your villainous plans whatever they might be. In his free time, Eric enjoys dabbling into psychology, and when not dazzled by the complexity of human mind he likes mixing different types of tea to create unique drinking experiences. In battle Eric is exactly what you would expect: a one trick pony. That trick being sticking his axe in you. While powerful the very limited nature of his combat skillset make him less of a threat than some of his allies. He also has a hidden potential. (I try to update at least weekly if not more frequent) Demo V.1 Release Date: 7.20.16 - Updated: 7.23.16 - Download below Demo V.2 Release Date: TBA +Story+ The world of Perception was once three seperate Planes of Existence: Nirvana, Damnation, and the world of humans (the living). When Lucifiel betrayed God (or so the stoy goes...), he began to form his army for the day when the seal seperating the worlds would be broken. When this occured, the worlds formed a mishmash of each other called Perception, kind of like a limbo. God had a protector named the Valkyrie and under her the Four ArchAngels, but most of them have disappeared or resorted to the demons' side. Also missing is the Valkyrie's weapon and the key to binding the seal again: the Lance of Longinus. The merging of worlds has left many in confusion. The geography of the world completely changed. Races have gone extinct and new ones, like the dangerous anamoly of Witches, has emerged. Other remaining Races like the Drag-Ons, Reapers, Kitsune, Aurochs...were all thrown into chaos. Not only that, but Lucifiel and the 3 ArchDemons are planning an assault on Perception. In Eve of Perception, you play as Matthew, a young man who fell from the sky. He stumbles into two Marines (Jou and Alec) who have just fled from a massacre of a battlefield. Unconscious, the soldiers take Matthew to a nearby village and the orphanage within in hopes he lives through the night. Jou has her own problems as the monster that slaughtered her troop is still in the forest, blocking the only way home, and it seems their mission, to find a group of renegades called the Eight-Span Crows, has failed. Matthew awakes with little memory, but knows that his sister is in danger and vows to find her. Jou tells Matthew of an Agency in her hometown that can help him locate his missing sister, and they join forces. Things become complicated when one of the orphans goes to fight the monster in the forest himself... + Main Characters+ +Supporting Cast+ +Battle+ +Features+ +Screenies (Screenshots)+ (image heavy) *Screenshots showing RTP characters are out of date, but most are updated to the current build +Other+ This has been a long time project of mine. I started with RPG Maker 2K3 and have worked with the maker since. This game is based on a novel I started a decade ago. The plot is completely planned out with extensive backstories for everyone. I know it's an ambitious project. I know it's gonna take a year or so, which is why I'm pacing myself and leaning on the support of age-old friends ^^; My main influences are Star Ocean and the Lunar series, so expect something similar to those titles. ^^ I really hope you enjoy and support my project! Thanks to Mog's RTBS I can finally have the game I've dreamed of making! If you have any feedback or comments or want to apply for beta testing demos, leave me a comment or shoot me a message!! +Hiring+ Note for all positions: If you can work with a payment plan, I'm interested! 7. There's a few curse words and the like. Just a warning Abstract: Just your run-of-the-mill RPG. The Hero is in the wrong place at the wrong time and ends up having to fight off Hordes of Demons and close the agate to Hell. Genre: Fantasy Game Progression: I’m roughly a quarter of the way through the game. I have an Alpha level release if anyone’s interested in crash-testing/critiquing my game. Recruitment: I’m not really recruiting but if anyone wants to help out after testing, they’re welcome It’s your basic RPG storyline. Our hero, Jaycen, is given a quest by the village priest to deliver a letter to his friend in the Capital city. Should be a cakewalk right? Alas, this was not so. Our hero and his best friend Kimberley must travel South to get permission to enter the Northern half of the continent. As they travel, they meet many new and exciting people, such as Caine the Wandering Paladin (who joins them on their journey) and face many dangerous and thrilling challenges and encounters. Once our heroes have acquired permission, they return to the North and complete their quest. After they complete their quest, they are invited to visit the Demon Gate, which the great God Kleithorea used to seal away the Darkness, a being of pure malice. Whilst they are visiting the gate, they discover that the gate has been breached and Demons, abominations of unimaginable horror, have been slipping into this world. Tasked with destroying the Demons by Kleithorea himself, our Heroes, along with a new and as of yet unnamed companion, must drive back the Demons and the Darkness itself to once and for all seal evil away inside the Demon Gate. Jaycen: Jaycen is kinda naïve, probably a Virgin and isn’t as comfortable around females as he’d like to be. Kimberley: Kimberley is Jaycen’s childhood best friend and is a sadist with a vicious sense of humour. She’s probably in love with Jaycen but don’t tell her I said that Caine: Caine is rather pious and hasn’t had much of a chance for character development. He seems noble… but first impressions aren’t always the truth. 8. LEGACY OF THE WORLD OP latest update: 03/31/16 Developers: PowerBurger & TheMisterLuigi (Special thanks to our friend, Miku Boy, for being a regular playtester for us) Genre: Turn-Based RPG Game Progression: 1/8th of the game is completed. Game resources are subject to change. Aiming for Summer/Fall 2016 release for Demo v2.0. Average Game Length: The demo averages around 7-11 hours. This includes various sidequests in the game, in addition to the main story events. Recruitment: N/A Story & Setting: Legacy of the World takes place in a fictional Earth, set over 1000 years in the future. Technology appears to have regressed to a point of becoming scarce to non-existent. The story begins with a semi-retired mercenary named Kurtwood Okerson who lives in the little town of Oaksville. The day seems to be rather ordinary as he goes out to meet an old friend, but then he is given a message from the king of Elsnoire. He assumes it is just another call for work from the king, but upon his arrival to Elsnoire, he encounters a mysterious group of hooded individuals and is eventually wrapped into far bigger events than one could imagine. Events that could very well concern the entire world. Playable Characters: There's quite an ensemble of characters in the game already. These are just the player characters! Credits: We have used a very large amount of resources made by others, alongside original resources made by us, to the point that it may be a bit too large to put everything here. This includes scripts, graphics, music/BGMs that are used in the game. The biggest of which being the game's scripts and music. A .txt file will be posted of the credits page that will also be provided in the download of the game: http://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Credits%20%5BDemo%20v1.0%5D.txt?_subject_uid=102951146&w=AACLlkzVrqFLOzOxa7dP6Chls5U38SIf2a1Z6TknO-hzNg NOTE: Please let us (TheMisterLuigi and/or PowerBurger) know if you find something of yours in our game and we failed to credit you! It is very possible that we may have missed some things in our credits, and we don't want you to go without being credited for work! p.s. If we need to provide a little more, in terms of credits, please let us know about that as well! Screenshots: Features: - Many custom portraits drawn by TheMisterLuigi (who is still very critical of himself and wants to continue improving the portraits for the next demo, haha). - Lots of non-RTP themes to help immerse you into the game! - Easy enough to get into for newcomers to RPG games, but with challenging aspects present even for veteran players! - Playable character individuality. One character in a certain class can be quite different from another character using the same class! - Distinct boss fights that will require the player to use all of the classes/skills you are given to succeed! - Enjoyable dialogue throughout the story! Possible Bugs: - An apparent issue with the Arrow Keys not working for movement with a playtester. It has happened one time with that single playtester, and we have not been able to replicate it, but it may be something to keep in mind. The Number Keys on the "Num Pad" can be used for controlling character movement as well though. - A few graphical glitches? The events seem to "twitch" for a brief moment when entering new areas. It is mostly just one area where it sticks out (a roof in the "Elsnoire" area). - A shutdown might happen on the World Map, possibly? Still trying to find out which troops cause it if any. Just take caution and save often when on the map! Definitely Bugs: - The well in Oaksville turns off item popups. Item popups also disappear after doing the Phillip's Nightmare Side-Quest. - A "ghost Yvonne" talks to you if you examine her house door in Oaksville! Thankfully, it doesn't do much more than that. - Some unspawned enemies have their HP bars appear. - Around 10 typos. Not an actual bug, but it bugs the developers... heheheh... (yeah, starting to wonder if I'm suitable for the writing job... xD). - The "Underground Passage" area attached to Oaksville becomes available early at some point. Some bosses can be refought down there. Seemingly does not cause crashes. Probably not recommended? - Talking to the NPC in the Snowy House area will force a shutdown because of a missing sprite. This area is not required and not accessible until the demo's last boss is defeated though. - Don't talk to the enemy closest to the reaper in the unlockable scenario, as a missing theme in the game forces a shutdown. 11. (Quality loss due to shrinking it down to a appropriate size was unavoidable. Will be fixed shortly.) Starting a project, once again. It's been quite some time since I last worked on a game, but I'm rather confident that this project right here will be completed to the best of my ability. Astralon's story developed over several months, and underwent quite a few complete reworks. Originally, it was named "Alastron" (yes, rather creative indeed!), the completed story that lies before you right now, is pretty similar to this predecessor of sorts in the way it plays out, but the whole focus of the story is something else entirely, for example, the characters remained the same, but the roles they play changed drastically. Either way, what are my plans for Astralon anyway? Well, I wanted to create a classic RPG, in terms of gameplay and story, but mix in some new, original features, that should make it the hopefully great game I've envisioned it to be. "Everyone who did something wrong lies, so nobody would notice. But I will uncover the truth, no matter how much it hurts, because there has to be someone, who fights for the people who have noone at their side, no matter the cost." ~ Rayden "Oh? I didn't see you there! Let me tell you a story. It's about a war. A war of epic proportions. A few years ago, the world was plunged into darkness, every country shrouded by a mysterious darkness, monster attacks were the daily fare. It was a terrible life, I tell you... Until they came... I saw them myself! Four brave adventurers, who fought for peace in the world! I can't remember their names clearly, I don't think I've ever heard them either, but these brave souls faced the darkness. They dared to find the cause of all the pain and suffering, whatever monstrosities they had to face. The records tell of a legendary fight against a single human, whose lust for power took over his humanity, a human, who's only referred to as a "demon". Nobody knew his old self, but that's another story. One of the four heroes fell in this last battle, but in the end, they were able to defeat the demon. The world was saved, so it seemed. The death of this creature, driven by his endless hunger for power, led to a huge impulse. Yes, I remember it as if it happened just yesterday! I felt so strong... magical energy flowing through my veins! From this day on, all the people of these lands were able to channel their powers, casting spells. A miracle, if you ask me. Either way, let's not get off topic too much. The three adventurers grieved for a long time over the loss of their fallen comrade, but they were able to overcome these emotions of sadness. Chosen to rule these lands since they were the only ones able to fully control the magic, they have introduced a new form of government, the king keeping power over a single piece of land only. The council of justice. An era of peace. But not for long..." Rayden, a young adventurer from the village of Aeston seemingly never experienced this impulse. He is the only one in the entire village who is not able to use magic. As an earthquake interrupted his training, he stumbles upon the Astralon, a mysterious artifact with unknown powers. How will this influence the world? Rayden, the Adventurer. Rayden is a young adventurer from the village of Aeston. He's brilliant when it comes to handling melee weapons, which is pretty unusual for the times after the great war. His mind is quite keen and he bears the mysterious Astralon. Through the newly acquired power of the "Revelation", he's able to uncover the lies of his opponent and directly confront them with the matter. Nem, the Dreamblade. Nem is quite adept in close combat, especially with the sword, but he's also able to use magic. He even managed to master a long forgotten technique from ages long past that involves manipulating the power of dreams to smite his foes or enhance his abilities. Because of that, he established a good reputation among the people. Avena, Bulwark of Hope Avena is a member of the royal guards, however, nobody knows when or how she joined the ranks of these elite knights. She's skilled with light-type magic like most knights, but also tries out the other elements when she got the time. At the moment, she is training with Rayden, to enhance her melee skills, in case someone was to develop a resistance against magic and she wouldn't be able to protect the people close to her. ???, the King's Son Little is known about him, except for the fact that he's cold and dismissive, nobody knows about his goals. Rumors, that he's trying his hands at alchemy are spreading, but there is hardly a reliable source. Josh, Raph and Clyde. Copycats of a Legend. This group of adventurers is eager to live up to their heroes, the council of justice. However, despite their confidence, they more often stumble through the world rather than achieving any heroic deeds, like when they start to challenge the first stranger they see to a duel again, just to test their newly developed techniques. Hendrik. Lilian. Loki. The legendary council of justice, consisting of Hendrik, the melee-expert of the group, his strong desire for justice often leads to him, charging into the most dangerous situations, Lilian, a master of the spear, who enhances her allies ability to fight with multiple spells, even by setting their weapons ablaze and Loki, a mage who's known for only one thing: His merciless nature when he destroys everyone who opposes him in the blink of an eye. ??? A mysterious person, interested in the Astralon. He watches silently, preparing his actions. You can totally walk BEHIND trees! Incredible! A completely uninteresting plot, with no character developement at all! A plottwist, obvious from the beginning! Alright, I'm obviously just kidding here. But you see, it's hard to list features nowadays, that are unique to a game. You see, everyone can just copy a script and slap it as a feature on a list. It just doesn't mean as much as it did years ago, haha. Either way, I'll try and list everything that matters, even though these features are not unique to Astralon alone. After the last major update, good-looking maps with a lot of passion for detail. Tons of secrets and hidden items, just waiting for you to find them! Exploration is being highly rewarded, even in the demo! A protagonist, who can be played the way you want him to be played. 100%. Not only are you able to change his stats how you see fit, you can also adjust his style of fighting, equip a lot of different spells, that even regularly change when you upgrade or change your weapon, and you can even adjust the way Rayden's reacting when he's close to death! Three incredibly helpful party members, that complement your main character, no matter which way you decide to play him. The "Revelation" system. More on that later. There is no real antagonist. No "ultimate evil" that needs to be vanquished. It was already taken care off, a interesting, promising story waits for you to explore it! A whole lot of different weapons and armor, to, once again, complement YOUR play style. Diversive Skills. They change even by equipping a different weapon. Heck, even two swords should never play the exact same! Dynamic, well-balanced fights. I've learned a lot about balancing these past four years, and I dare to say that I know what I'm doing when it comes to balancing. A "Last-Stand" like fighting system. Just because you're close to eating dirt doesn't mean that you are doomed for real! Every character in your party starts to react differently when they are close to death, completely turning the way you play them around. They could panick, or decide that it's over anyway and go All-In! It's up to you! Balanced Item-System. Buy all the stuff you want, you can't just tank a boss by buying a bazillion potions beforehand. Every character is allowed to take three items with them, and that's it. All this fuss about this system, but no explanations yet? Let's fix this. What is a "revelation" anyway? To explain it in a easy way, Rayden, in combination with the Astralon, possesses the power of sensing when his opponent lies, or tries to hide vital information on purpose. If he realised that the person in front of him is lying, there are multiple ways to approach the lie. Either, you directly start unraveling the mysteries, or you wait a bit longer until you've gathered more facts and evidence, before you try to confront the liar. If you reached the phase of "Revelation", Rayden goes through all the evidence and facts, and then recalls which statements his opponent uttered. If the liar is indeed lying, there must be a contradiction in what he says, compared to the evidence to question his entire statement. This isn't that easy, especially if his opponent is lying without being aware of this fact himself, but more to these twists later. (Every screen that is shown here, may change appearance in the final product.) Did you suceed in finding the contradiction, it's high time to confront the liar! In the process, a discussion between Rayden and the person commences, you often have to argue, why his statement couldn't have been farther from the truth and explain, how it wasn't possible for the things that happened to have gone down exactly as the liar said. If the liar confesses at the end, you completed the revelation. It's worth noting, that not all revelation scenes look the same. Depending on the complexity of the whole situation, the layout of the map, amount of statements could change, and roadblocks appearing. Often, people lie without noticing it themselves, which makes things even harder, sometimes, Rayden himself gets locked up in a difficult situation, that might hinder his ability of logical reasoning. One thing is for sure, no two revelations will be the same. But that wasn't even it. I just summarise all the systems I've worked out under the term "revelation", in fact, there are two more systems, not yet present in the demo, I didn't present anywhere else. The first, is the "Reconstruction". Rayden will try to re-create a scene that was mentioned in the statement of the liar (for example), and the player will be able to explore this dreamed up place to look for contradictions there. If one is found, Rayden will adjust his version of the scene, including the new found information, until you get the perfect picture. The second one, would be a "Battle of Wits", a fast paced discussion that most of the times happen, when Rayden doesn't have enough evidence to confront a liar yet. He will try to outsmart his opponents to reveal vital information for his cause unter a time limit. These vary in difficulty, depending on the person you are trying to trick. Less of a "Plan" list in the future, I'd rather include a list of what I'm working on right now. A new HuD for the battles, as soon as the Luna Engine comes out, I will try to implement it as fast as possible. I really like designing GUI, so that will be a fun thing to work on. The village of Aeston, pre-mapping, parallax mapping and general re-design. Indeed, it's not much, because I'm working on a project just as important as Astralon. But I will progress, slower or faster. Astralon: Fall of Order - Demo v.1.0 Download - Walkthrough (PDF) Known Issues: Nothing as of yet! 12. Chronicles of the Crystal Wars Screenshots and trailer Genre: Fantasy Average Demo Time: around 2 hours Story Centuries ago, a magical plague known as the miasma appeared, which began to devour the surface of the world. Unable to restrain this scourge, the inhabitants of the surface used another form of magic to extract from the ground a giant island the size of a continent in order to dwell in the sky, where the miasma would never be able to reach them. But this celestial island wasn't big enough for everyone, and thousands were abandoned to the miasma... Time passed. Through the fires of wars, a kingdom appeared on the flying continent, whose citizens had long forgotten the tragedy of the forced emigration of their ancestors but also the other one, even worse, of the people who stayed behind and had to face the miasma. And everyone lives as happily as possible in a human society. But it is several years now that the flying continent seems to slowly sink into the Sea of Clouds upon which it is yet supposed to fly. And the nightmare of the miasma surfaces again in the collective memory... Now, a hero has to go back to the surface below to find a way to revive the apparatus which allows the flying continent to remain above the clouds. Characters - King Cirrus: the ruler of the kingdom of Arcadia and a quiet man who seems unable to choose any course of action to save his people, so his citizens begin to question his authority and the social order slowly but surely begins to crumble. - Honorius: the previous commander of the royal guard, recently retired, who kept many friends in the army like if he wants to secure his rear; some say the King kept him closer to him than his own friends, like a monarch is supposed to do with his enemies... - Alasran: the junior son of Honorius, he's ready to anything to prove his worth to his father; he'll volunteer to scout the surface and, unvoluntarily, will trigger the events which will plunge the flying continent into chaos... - Sirius: childhood friend of Alasran, he knows well Honorius' family; good-spirited, he's not naive for all that... - Joseph: a soldier of the Arcadia army who makes up for his lack of experience with determination and strength. - Annalys: member of the resistance against the Vulcania regime, this young warrior girl hides a dark secret. - Evan: another resistant, who doesn't talk much and tends to impose silence with his sole, massive presence. - Lyvi: although friendly and talkative, this young resistant is above all a skilled thief and assassin. 16. Hello everyone, and welcome to my new game's topic page. Today, I'm going to be showing off the project I have been working on for the past few weeks. Some of you may recognize the familiar title, and yes, you are right; this is a revamp of my old project that I scrapped due to a critically game-breaking error that did not allow me to move forward with the progression of the game. All of the characters, battle style and semantics, plots, and settings have stayed the same, however, some mechanic are arbitrarily different this time around than last time. Without further ado, let's get right into it! 18. AarettNation Productions Presents In the midst of a war that lasts until Eternity fades, Terror will destroy, Angels will be destroyed, Death will claim all that Life has governed, and Chaos will laugh... ...as it rises to take all Creation as it's own... Genre: RPG, Fantasy, Adventure, Tactical, Horror. Game Progress: Story: 100% Eventing: 9% Database: 87% Mapping: 3% *WARNING*(Please read before proceeding) "Night Core: The Legend of Aesir" and the Night Core series contains the following: Graphic/Disturbing Content Violence Blood and Gore Sexual Content Suicide Strong Language Death(of many sorts) Bullying/Harassment Jumpscares Drug Use This game isn't recommended for children. Story(Take a seat, cuddle with your bae, and enjoy!) The Eternity War flares on once again as the Hell Lord of Terror, Fal-Diabalus, breaks free from his infernal prison, becoming as strong as ever. But, who said he was alone? He plans to take Creation with the help of his other eleven brothers. The Angels have come upon the option to forfeit when their aspect of unity fades into nothing, causing them to lose hope. In the middle of this madness, the humans are tossed about in disarray in this predicament. They now rely on the Templar's College for protection. Young scholars are accepted and are trained to take on the evils of the world. There are many of them, but one of them will be the one to face Terror, Death, and Chaos in the face and shed their blood. The Dark is rising. The balance is rotting. Reality is burning. You will find only death in this world. No comfort. No remorse. No mercy. No hope... Will you let this all happen? Glossary(A dictionary would be nice. Thanks...) Sargosso: The enchanted land where most of our story takes place. It is the third and youngest Plain of Reality. Although it is a place of magic and wonder, it is constantly on the verge of destruction. From the recent freak virus to the revival of Fal-Diabalus, Sargosso is in constant need of hero. Eternity War: The most bloodiest and the most brutal war Creation has ever recorded. The battle consisted of the Three Realities: The Angels, Demons, and the humans. It first took place at the Fields of Eternity, hence the name of the battle. The Angels and Demons were fighting for control of Creation while the humans served both sides and fought each other due to the new-found power to choose between the two Realities. Although a bloody battle, the Eternity War was actually responsible for making life in Sargosso possible. Night Core: A sinister looking stone that is as black as night can be. It can trap the souls of even the most highest Angel or the lowest Demon. The humans used the Night Core to trap Fal-Diabalus and six of his brothers while the other three were still at large. It is said that the Night Core was a fragment of the God of Death, Mustros. The location of the Night Core is still unknown still to this very day. With the Hell Lord of Terror on the loose, it would be a good idea to find it... Shattered: The horrific, zombified beings that were once people infected with the recent freak virus that most people call "the Shattering" hence the name of these abominations. They can take the form of one singular victim or the virus can fuse corpses together to form a greater beast. Though malformed and hostile, they still have a bit of human in them. The only real thing that they lost during their mutation was their sense of reason and compassion, thus driving them feral. Plains of Reality: Any place or region where a single Reality lives and thrives. There are three Plains of Reality: Heaven, Hell, and Sargosso(that's "haven" or "sanctuary" in Sargossian ). The three Realities are the Angels, the Demons, and the Humans. Fal-Diabalus: The Hell Lord of Terror. He is the youngest of the Lords of Hell and the most creative and cunning. On record, Fal-Diabalus is the only Hell Lord to break into another Plain of Reality(mainly Sargosso) more than five times. His everlasting hunger for power and control over all Creation is strong and drives him to perform the most gruesome acts, such as possessing humans and having them worship him to give him power. Most people refer him as the Great Devil, Old Scratch, or Diablo. Wal-Mephiilstol: The Hell Lord of Wrath. He is the second youngest Lord and is renowned for his great intelligence. When the Demons fought in their own civil war, the Burning War, Wal-Mephilstol was there to talk some sense into the two warring Hell Lords Fal-Diabalus and Cal-Ba'alius, even though he quite enjoyed seeing the Demons kill each other, tearing each other apart, and torturing each other. Aside from invoking hate among humans and Demons alike, he has a strong thirst for more knowledge. He is sometimes called Anger or Mephisto. Cast(Licence and registration, please.) Iliah Alkarn Age: 19 Race: Human Originally from Nevelio Town, Iliah came to Dislavah Town when she was only 6 years old. She cannot remember what events led to her arrival there but it is assumed that it was something cruel that happened in her past. She believes that someone attempted to wipe out the Reapers as part of a diabolical plot to rule the world because the dark race swore to protect the righteous and maintain the "homeostasis" of the Universe. Iliah is the leader of Team Guardian and is the most powerful. She is silly and cynical on the outside, but in reality is very lonely and starved for affection. In rare occasions, Iliah is sometimes seen as a motherly figure. Daven Gwelodin Age: 19 (1/2) Race: Human/Demon Originally from Redneval, Daven was caught up in the current of a river during a storm when he was 10 and was never seen again. He appeared in Dystohria, nearly frozen to death. He was saved by his father Asmodaan, the Hell Lord of Sin. He granted him the power to control the elements. His power was so strong he accidentally burned down a nearby forest, his foster parents Rosa and Gordon arrived to extinguished the flames and rescued him. Brave but introverted, Daven prefers to remain at home or the College and read books or hang out with his childhood friend Iliah despite the fact that his magic has grown very strong. He still has a habit of referring to his magic tomes. He tends to ignore his demonic ancestry mainly to save himself from persecution or even Sargosso's death penalty. Synestria Noves Age: 21 Race: Human/Valkyrie Born in Aarett, Synestria was in a in the middle of a feud with her families when she was 10 years old which brought them through a "door" leading to Purgatoria. Appearing in the swampy wastelands of Purgatoria, each member of the family awakened to their magical ability. Her father, Balder had never been a good man and being trapped in a strange land, suddenly gifted with magical powers, corrupted him even more. He became obsessed with finding a doorway home and in doing so opened doorways to the Hells instead, corrupting himself even further and releasing Gilaial, the Hell Lord of Lies. Synestria was left to care for her sick mother and the family gradually became ostracized and hated by the locals leading to rumors that Synestria was a witch that haunted the swamp wastes.
