I love the Harvest Moon games and I am gonna start my own when I buy the Rural Farms resource pack. I do though, want to make a villain; known as the Entity of Wither. He is depicted as a scrawny man (purple ish skin) and his head is covered completely in bandages except for some hair that hangs out. All that I think is... Is this a good idea? I want a story between the MC and the Entity. Heres a basic plot for more info: The town has been abandoned since plants have withered and water isnt too clean. All except one family has stayed behind due to always living there. You decided to move to this town and buy the farm land. As you grow more crops and make more money, more villagers move into town and the town will look more healthy. As you can guess, the Entity had withered the town in the past. **SPOILER** When the whole town has returned, the Entity will have a discussion with you about how for everything destroyed, something is made and vice versa. He will then give the player a rare tool and will vanish (OR) will stay in the village as a disguised villager (Which ever I decide) Is a villain a good idea for this style game?

HARVEST MOON: ONCE UPON A CLOVER "If you close your eyes, you can hear the hushed murmurs of Wind and Water, Of tinkling bells and faraway lowing cows. If you open the window to your soul, just a little, You might find a bit of that Wonderland you're looking for. It is not around you. It is in you." Brief Summary Once upon a time, man was ignorant about the presence of magical creatures, until the night on which the supernatural announced their existence to the humans on international live broadcast. This historical event is dubbed as the Revelation. Since then, man and magical beings had to learn to co-exist, and they did in a generally peaceful manner for a hundred years. The Humans and the supernatural kind, who are called the Fairfolk, had separate territories and cultures. The Humans feared their magic and stayed away as much as they could. The Fairfolk, in turn, felt too dignified to mingle with mere mortals and kept to themselves. The two races always remained like two sides of a river, close, but never touching. Somewhere, a child of the Fairfolk, in guise of a white rabbit, crossed the line between the races into Human lands. He is met with a Human child. So begins a strange friendship between Child and Rabbit. Rabbit tells stories of his old home, a faraway farm so beautiful and magical, it had to be hidden so even most Fairfolk could not find it. One could lie down on a bed of clover and hear things only ancient trees and sighing flowers can hear. One can drift into the clouds, into Wonderland. "Promise me you will go there, one day." It is only after a few days of disappearance that the news of Rabbit's death reaches the Child's ears. Since then, safety laws are passed down to prevent humans and Fairfolk from ever crossing paths again. Ten years pass in the blink of an eye. You, the protagonist, brave the void between these two races to venture into a quaint town of the Fairfolk territory, Kiar'hn. With nothing but a promise to keep and the youthful carelessness of throwing caution to the winds, you settle down at Clover Farm and buckle in for the challenges that come in your way. Characters Planned Features Different kinds of animals and livestock, such as little foxes, flying pigs and fairy cows Four new elemental priestesses who will grant skills and other battle aids Full moon cycles with extra action at midnight. New festivals, as well as old festivals. I want to bring back the Egg Festival from the original SNES HM, as well as bring in Omatsuri. Fishing, dating, harvesting, item gathering, wood chopping, shopping, spa, mining, monster fighting, the usual A shop/auction business run by the player. WIP/Implemented: Gender options of male and female Different kinds of villagers, and date-able characters that can join your party and help you at battle and farming. 112 days calendar with seasons and time system Custom HUDS for menus Randomized weather effects + weather forecast Changeable furniture/ clothing Different times and places in a fusion. A crop system! I really need comments and critiques on this. Any interesting ideas for characters, features, etc that you always wanted to see implemented in a HM game would be very appreciated. I need one (or several) parallax mappers who can make nice forests and a town, as well as artists for characters and cutscenes. Mappers Preferably, I could use someone who knows the basics of fog scripts and animated parallax water scripts, for the forests. For the town, I need someone who can put together the town's structure without it feeling too cluttered, that's all! All resources will be provided by me. Artists Thanks to my awful drawing, I need MALE PORTRAIT ARTISTS, as well as people who can draw and colour simple background scenery. Title, logo, menu or HUD artists are also extremely welcome. Hunter's Moon - The Idea Hey guys! So, I've been making RPG Maker games since XP has come out. Although I've never published anything because I never really thought it'd be worth anyone's time. Well now I have an amazing Idea, that I would love to make a harvest moon/rune factory type of game. I think whoever is a fan of these games would really enjoy something like this. It will be more Rune Factory based though. What I mean by that is basically, there will be leveling up, there will be dungeons, monsters to fight. (Although animals that you would keep would just be animals, not monsters.) It will be simple, and fun (hopefully). The thing is though, I definitely can't do all of this by myself, and I can't pay anyone to help me, but hopefully I get some volunteers that would like to help me with the upcoming systems, such as weather systems (When it rains on certain days and then doesn't), Festivals, and of course cooking systems, fishing, mining, crafting, forgery, medicine, etc. I've already started some mapping, and I do consider myself a decent mapper. I will be showing later on what the maps will look like, but I guarantee everyone that I will be working very hard on this stuff. . I want to focus more though, on how things are going to work first, and then mapping and all the pretty decadent stuff should be last. I mean, mapping is important, but you could have glorious maps and a shitty system right? On a side note, I've been working on another game called Iris. I got a lot of good comments for my mapping, I'm just too busy at this very moment to show anyone anything from it. But I do have pictures I can send of my mapping if anyone needs anything certified that I'm not just blowing air out of my butt. Anyway, Here is the plot that I've conjured up, and the backgrounds of the characters. This isn't finished yet and some things are a little vague. But this was all typed up on word perfect for ideas. So please excuse the lack of information for some things. I'm also looking for future voice actors, so if anyone knows of anyone who knows how to do this, I would be thrilled to know. But they must have these requirements: -A decent microphone (to avoid static and sorts) -Good acting skills -Knows the characters personality well -Will not bail on me at the very last minute before things are finished! (it's happened) There will be 5 characters to voice in total, including the 1 main character, along with the 4 bachelorettes. The faces were all illustrated using the Character Machine created by Erangot. The maps will be made by using Celiana and Lunaria's tileset, with some of Yanfly's scripts. If there is anyone I've forgotten to credit that have things that they see belongs in my game, please let me know so that I can add/credit you all . Story: A Hunter's Moon is arising, it is the first full moon after the Harvest Moon. It's the perfect time where it is clear enough to see out in the dark, making it ideal for hunter's to see better at night. The Hunting Village of Acadena is finding it scarce to find food as the years go on. People seem to be moving away to more convenient towns that have food and supplies. And so the animals are starting to migrate to the south and the east of the province. The Forest Spirit: A soul that has not crossed the realm of the dead. She walks the earth in order to finish what she started. A guardian of the realm within nature. The Forest spirit is beyond angry at mankind for forgetting about how to treat nature. She feels as though she has been forgotten. In order to make them remember, the forest spirit is declining the villagers of their resources. Acadena used to be more of a prosperous land, but she feels as though humans have contaminated it. What is making the earth quakes? An entity sucking al the life out of the area, in order to show her existence. and to grab the villagers attention. she is angry at the townspeople for forgetting about her. Disapearing animals? Animals are leaving because of the earthquakes, that have also caused a lack of food The goal? To restore the mountains and bring animals back to the town, putting the forest spirit to rest Main Character: Name: Victor Age: 22 Duty: Hunter and Farmer Loves: = Likes: = Dislikes: = Class: Swordsman Weapon: Sword Personality: Outgoing, Cheerful and Kind Hobbies: Hunting, Farming, and Crafting Background: Victor, a young boy who is shipwrecked after a storm on one of the boats that was migrating to the east of the continent. Victor was with his older brother and parents at the time, but now separated and has found himself in the village of Acadena. His home village when he was 10. Victor's childhood friend Gwyn managed to be the one to find him ashore. Bachelorettes: Name: Gwyn Age: 20 Duty: Weapon Shop Keeper, Inventer,Vehicle builder. Loves: Platinum Likes: Iron, Copper, Silver, Gold, Dislikes: Scrap Metal Class: Scout Weapon: Gun Personality: Friendly, Tomboy, Caring and Outgoing Hobbies: Making Armour, Weapons and Inventing Background: Gwyn is quite the firecracker for a girl, she's very outgoing, get's really excited over making new types of durable weapons and armor. Gwyn loves though, most of all to help her grandfather create vehicles. They're both working on a machine that can apparently fly... Although her and grandfather have encountered technical problems every time they want to start it. It's called a Hover Lifter, it's powered by steam. Connection to Victor: Her and Victor are childhood friends. Victor moved away when they were about 10. But one day while Gwyn took a stroll on the beach of Acadena, she finds Victor washed up on shore with piles of driftwood. Heart/Friend Events System: 1: Gwyn takes Victor to take a look around the shop. Talks about what she does there. 2: Gwyn takes Victor to see what her and her grandfather are working on around the shop, and how they plan to see the world when the vehicle is finished. 3: Gwyn and Victor hang out at the beach. She asks about his past. He asks about her scar. She mentions it a little, but seems very weary about it. 4: Gwyn makes Victor new armour, They talk more about the hover lifter. 5: Gwyn talks more about how Victor plans to get back home, or if he even wants to go or stay in Acadena, Victor thinks about perhaps leaving if he gets the chance. Gwyn gets upset and leaves. 6: Gwyn and Victor talk about how upset she was last time and work out the fact that Victor doesn't necessarily want to leave if there's nothing out there left for him to go to. 7: Gwyn and Victor go up to the forest peak/mountains and talk about the latest events that happened between him and the last boss. 8: Gwyn tries her hand at cooking something for Victor, they talk and hang out for a bit 9: Gwyn confesses her love. 10: You are now a couple. Name: Juniper Age: 17 Duty: Inn Keeper and Maid at Glamyre's Inn Loves: Fruit Parfait Likes:= Dislikes: Bugs, Cauliflower and Eggplant Class: Archer Weapon: Bow Personality: Shy, Sweet, Family Oriented, Hobbies: Cooking, Cleaning, and Sewing Story: Juniper is probably the shyest person in Acadena. She developed a crush on Victor as soon as she saw him. She trembles when Victor talks to her, but she still manages to keep herself together in order to impress. Juniper is a great hostess for the Inn and can sew just about anything. She also makes the food at the Inn when it gets busy along with her brother who does most of the organizing and bookkeeping. Connection to Victor: She has a crush on Victor. Heart/Friend Events: 1: Juniper talks about the first time Victor lived in Acadena and how he met Gwyn. 2: Juniper asks Victor to come try some of her cooking. She makes something especially for him, and they talk a while. 3:Juniper asks if Victor minds helping her around the Inn to clean up a bit, since she's short on help. Juniper trips, when Victor catches her fall. 4: Juniper talks to Victor and thanks him for helping her the other day. She gives him a scarf she sewed. 5: Juniper asks Victor if he'd like to get some tea. they do, when her brother at the inn almost spills the beans about her crush on Victor. Juniper gets angry. 6: Juniper explains the reason why she became the hostess of the Inn, and how she plans to uphold her family's Inn. 7: Juniper asks Victor what he thinks about her glasses and freckles. Explains why she got teased a lot by kids when she was younger. 8: Juniper almost confesses her love at the beach where Victor first came to Acadena. But just can't do it, because of the fear that Gwyn may like Victor too. 9: Juniper confesses her love. Explains how she's never had a boyfriend, doesn't talk to boys much and has never even kissed a boy. Victor makes a funny joke. 10: You are now a couple. Name: Clementine Age: 21 Duty: Delivery Girl Loves:= Likes:= Dislikes: Class: Brawler Weapon: Knuckles Personality: Outspoken, Cranky, Funny, Sassy Hobbies: Fishing, going to the beach and Baking Story: Clementine is Acadena's cheerful and spunky delivery girl. She's always finding herself into a lot of trouble and always seems to get injured. She's more of a tomboy in the sense that she's very active, and a little strange. She loves going to the beach and swimming in the summer. She also takes a fancy to fishing when she has the time. She also loves her job as delivery girl, even though she use to hate it. Connection to Victor: Delivers mail to his house Heart/Friend Events: 1: Clementine asks Victor if he likes his work hunting and doing farm work. She says that at first she hated her job because she felt her parents made her do it. But now she loves it. 2: Clementine asks if Victor has time to hang out for a bit, but on they're way walking, Clementine trips. She explains how she always clumsy most of the time and gets injured on a daily basis. 3: Clementine brings some of her baking to Victor, because she had some leftovers. She decided to invent some sort of cake... it didn't come out that well. 4: Clementine explains how when she was little, she always wanted to become a fisherman, or a sailor and sail the sea's. She asks if Victor misses the sea, or if he will ever find his parents again. 5: Clementine brings a package that she herself, has a addressed to Victor. Inside there's some cookies, and a note saying: "It's always fun to receive a gift through the mail!" She felt like he hadn't been receiving any since he was new to the village. 6: Clementine asks if Victor likes her name. She said that people use to make up songs and stories about her name. Victor tells Clementine that her name reminds him of the colour orange for some reason. 7: Clementine asks if Victor thinks that she could ever help him on the farm one day. He made a joke and said no because she can be such a huge klutz. Clementine gets upset and leaves. Victor's never seen Clementine get seriously upset before. 8: Clementine and Victor talk, he apologises for making fun of her, and explains he only meant it as a joke, and that he thinks Clementine is really cute the way she is. Clementine blushes at the thought of Victor calling her cute, says its fine and goes about her day. 9: Clementine Confesses her love. 10: You are now a couple. Name: Freya Age: 25 Duty: Librarian, and Magic Studies/Seller Loves: = Likes: = Dislikes: = Class: Mage Weapon: Staff Personality: Eccentric, Quiet, Serious Hobbies: Magic Studies, Reading, and Potion Making Story: Freya is the magic book keeper in town that spends most of her time in Magunry's Library reading all day and learning new ways to make potions and serums for illness'. She's very serious when it comes to medecine, and can be very quiet during her studies. She easily gets mad if she can't figure something out right away. She rarely goes outside which makes her frail looking and pale. Connection to Victor: Meets Victor through Gwyn in Library. Heart/Friend Events: 1: Victor comes in and asks what Freya does all day during her studies. She explains that she studies a lot of magic books and medicine. She wants to be able to help people when they get sick. 2: Freya asks if Victor likes to read any material or hunting books. That if he ever needs information about anything, that he is welcome to read up on whatever he likes, but not to bother her. 3: Victor comes in and asks if Freya would like to take a break from her studies and come outside for a stroll with him. She says she has no time, but then Victor scolds her and says she needs to get some sun and be active in order to stay healthy. Brings her to the outside flowerbed, she thanks him, and then returns to her studies 4: Freya asks Victor to take a potion drink that will make him feel energized again. He takes it and tells Freya that she should have become a nurse or something. He asks her why she insists on spending so much of her time in medicine. She says that's a story for another day. 5: Freya asks if Victor would like to go see the flowerbed that she's been working on. They go see it, but on they're way back to the library, Freya collapses. He calls Gwyn to come help him. Freya explains that ever since she was a little girl, she's had an illness that makes her very weak at times. That's why she must study to discover cures for this illness, along with many others. She does not want others to go through what she goes through. 6: Victor comes in an asks if she's feeling any better lately from the last time they spoke. She says that it has ceased from being too bothersome. Victor asks if there's anything that he can do. And the only thing that she's come up with so far is, that there is a flower, high in the mountains where no one can get to anymore, because the bridge that crosses over to this sacred meadow has been cut off. This flower has been said to cure just about any severe illness if boiled into a serum. 7: Since Freya has been cured, she feels a lot more energized, and asks if they can go for a stroll. They go to the mountain top and she thanks Victor, for making her life the way it is after defeating the last boss. 8: Freya asks Victor if she thinks she is dull. But Victor says that Freya is one of the most interesting people he's ever met. and that she's so brave and courageous for what she done for everyone. Freya almost confesses... but saves it for another day. 9: Freya Confesses her love. 10: You are now a couple. Sorry for the mishap of the pictures. I'm quite new at this.
