    Greetings one and all I'm Avittion(U can call me Avi for short) I used to work with RPGmaker back in the day before a horrific accident destroyed my machines and I lost much software but I'm back in the game having purchased the full suite of programs and licenses again recently and am trying to piece back everything together used bits of backed up resources and new knowledge. Hope to learn much as well as contribute. Some people who used to work with Makers might have known me in the day as Zeewindsofchange. If that doesnt ring a bell dont feel bad, its pretty par actually.

  4. Hey, all! I'm not new to other websites that work in conjunction with this one, but I'm new here. I've been using RPG Maker since I was very young, but in contrast to those beginning years, I intend to use RM for serious game development currently. I'm primarily an artist with some programming skills, though in RM I tend to be quite masterful when it comes to advanced eventing. More often than not I'll disable most of the default systems, and rather than modify them with scripts, I recreate them with events and pictures (though I'll use code where need be.) It can be tedious, but it's usually a source of fun for me. (Also, this is extremely newbish of me, but I appear to be locked from editing my own profile. I'm guessing I have to reach a certain number of posts before that function becomes available.) So, yeah! It'll be cool to meet you all! <3 -Badweather4cast

  8. Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums, and also on the normal RPG Maker forums; and pretty much new to RMMV as well. I just wanted to introduce myself, as I will most likely be asking for help for making my games, and critique of some of my other works; such as pixel art icons and more. I look forward to meeting you all! Now, "Bow to the Maker or be swept aside as the ashes of your fallen forefathers!" (lol 32x32 example of an icon WIP for Alien mind control... just for fun :p) Edit: I also have a dramatic and occasionally morose or morbid sense of humor, if you have yet to notice... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hello, everyone. Some here may know me, some may not. Regardless of that, I would like to say that I have returned to the forums. I have plans on publishing some of my written works on the Literature corner if anyone is interested. But more than that... ... I am planning to revive Lortrec sooner or later. The project was never discarded, and when I mentioned that I had retired from Gamedev, I never said it would be a permanent farewell. In the end, things are going back to normal. If you are still interested in any of these, make sure to check the Literature and the Theory and Development sections, as I am also planning to make a few changes in the Lortrec game as a project, especially its current battle system.     Hello all, I'm TheRealProcyon or Procyon for short. I'm 17 years old & I started programming (badly) at the age of 14, I couldn't write any code, until now. I'm currently working on some Ruby stuff & I know Python as well. I like to draw as a relaxation, but I'm not a really skilled artist & I'm still learning the ropes. I first started using the name Procyon back in 2014 after I had the dumb name "Homebrew_and_cosole_hack_fan" on some forum, and other dumb names everywhere else. I asked for a name change on that forum, and I received it. Procyon is the genus name of Raccoons aka part of the Latin name. I like raccoons, and after thinking I started using that name. Fast forwarded to this year, or late last year I wanted to use Procyon on Freenode (IRC) as well, but it was registered, so I used a dumb name. I then got the tip of a LineageOS dev on there to use TheRealProcyon. LineageOS is my most favorite Android Custom ROM ever, I started using Custom ROMs a few years ago, and I will never stop using them, unless the ROMs of the device makers would become better & better supported. I bought my OnePlus One (which is still my current phone) in 2015 from my first job money. I currently am into Lego Dimensions. I like to develop stuff, so I would like to make an RPG as well. I met one of the admins here on Discord last year (and I knew her from another forum prior), and she sent the link to the forums as well. I thank her for that. I'm sorry for rumbling this all but I wanted to tell as much about myself as I could in as little time. If I repeated stuff I'm sorry for that as well (I can't help myself, because I'm exited). I'd just like to say, before I get deep into my introduction, that I'm not really new to the community, but have been a lurker for a very long time (too long to even begin to count). So, where to begin... Well...I've been a fan of RPGs of all sorts for a long time, this going back to before I even knew the term RPG and definitely before I knew what it stood for. In my native tongue it means 'Fairest Lady'. That basically means that I'm going to be fair, honest and critical. If you're kind to me, I shall be in return, to the best of my ability (I do deal with heavy issues that may impair this to a degree if not entirely which I try to not let affect me but sometimes the control nor the say is mine). If you are destructive towards me, you will receive backlash without fail. In other words, I thoroughly believe in treating others as you would treat yourself, but not to left others back you into a corner, no matter who they say they are. That part comes in handy because I do receive a lot of unwarranted flack both online and offline for various things, a lot of them not being choices but seen by society as such (i.e. being a trans woman and a lesbian). Anyway, enough of the serious stuff. Fun ahead. I absolutely love the RPG Maker series, and have used almost every single version at least once. I first got into the RM world with RPG MAKER for the Sony PlayStation. I have a physical copy that is in great condition, that I bought at a wonderful game store that sells retro games and consoles (not a lot of these left!). Anyway, I've made a few complete games with this, and noticed that it is the only software that allows for the creation of EXP. increasing items. I've also used RM 2 and RM 3 for the PS2, I've dabbled in RM2k, RM2k3, plus at one time I had XP and VX (corrupted HDD caused me to lose these), and I currently use VX Ace. I want to try MV but my computer won't run it (my OpenGL is 1.4 and MV needs 2.0 or better to run at all). Alright, I think that's more than enough for now. I'll add my interests on later on.

  20. Hello everybody, I am Viper, a musician from Ecuador. I decided that my first project will be something rather ambitious; whether that's a bad idea or not is up to debate, but unlike most people I get more into a project the more special it is, and I'd probably quit before finishing if it was "just another RPG maker game". I don't know if it's allowed to introduce oneself with ideas, but in my opinion introducing oneself isn't right without introducing the reason why one is joining. I want to work on the fabled crossover between Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem from the teaser that would have happened if they didn't re-imagine it as Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE; meaning that I want a straight crossover with characters of each series meeting and a combination of tactical RPG gameplay and dungeon crawling, SMT press turn battles. Dungeon crawling mixed with tactical gameplay can be done, as shown by like Fire Emblem Gaiden/Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, I just thought that the traditional RPG ideas in Gaiden/SoV could mix very well with any dungeon crawler/battle system. I plan on having a duality between battle systems to represent both series. From a tactical grid (Which you can access from attacking enemies on the dungeon or story-based chapters) you can use two combat options: Summon and Echoes. -Summoning battles are what I want to use for the SMT representative, you summon 2 allies that can be SMT demons or more minor characters in FE to fight in press turn combat. These battles are a mixture of Devil Survivor's and Nocturne's, they are more time consuming and the enemy human can summon his allies as well, but can offer for more strategic options to beat a single human in one swoop or recruit his demons/allies. Graphic style would probably be like Golden Sun or the first two Personas to have more detailed models. SMT characters get extra damage and skills for this. -Echoes skills (The ones that cost HP in Echoes but have special effects) are what I want to be used as the FE combat representative, they could have special effects related to the map (AOE or Movement) and bypass enemy summoning (So you only fight the leader/s and not his minions). They would transfer you to FE styled RNG based side view battles, and would change their animation accordingly depending on the skill. Due to not having control once the battle starts, these have less options for fighting strong enemies, but they can be very effective for fighting mobs and MP conservation. FE characters get extra damage and skills for this. The story concept is similar to Nocturne and Dissidia. Both the SMT and FE worlds are going through a conception. After the Nocturne True Demon Ending, the only way to stop the cycle of conceptions is to make a universe with that as its rule and that isn't allowed by the great will without some huge sacrifice, as Kagutsuchi isn't infinite. Due to these circumstances the only way to stop the cycle is to have a great cataclysm across many worlds, so the new Vortex is both universes hamstrung together and the protagonists team up depending on what they want the new universe to be like. It is like Dissidia in that overworld maps in FE are turned into SMT-like desolate areas, like the FF1 map in Dissidia. Many allies will be trying to reject the radical reboot to return to their worlds in peace and others accepting the reboot so that no more worlds are destroyed. Tell me if you are interested and I'd be glad to use recommended plugins for the desired product.

    Hi there, it's been a long time since i dreamed about making game that i want, and now probably the right time for me since i am no longer a student anymore. Well i have been aware of RPG maker since like 3-4 years ago, and my first RPG maker that i ever played is RPG Tsukuru Advance on Gameboy Advance, even though it was in Japanese. I currently making a game in RPG Maker VX Ace (hope people still plays with it). I have been training myself on it like 3 months now (eventing, install-configure script, and so on) and collecting so many free materials on english based and japanese sites (i'm pretty sure the author said it free to use as long as i credit them or direct it to their website). oh and yeah, i make a non-commercial one of course (but it will take months to finish it though). And that's all for introduction, and nice to meet you all ^^. oh and a little bit question here: which thread i should post to about usage of some artist materials, i mean, currently i am making a Suikoden wannabe game, you know, a game with 108 recruitable characters, which is used so many materials from so many artists. What most worries me right now is that, even though i am 95% pretty sure all of the materials are free to use, the other 5% maybe some of the artist had changed their mind without i am knowing it. i want to make a list of Artists whom some of their materials used by me, and maybe people or some Artists here could correct me. Thanks in advance.

  23. Hi there, fellow RPG lovers and makers! My name is Rishav, but you can call me Rishi. I've been using RPG Maker for a total of about four years. The first time I used it was when RMXP came out, and I used to play around with it for hours every day with little regard for my sleep and studies (I was still in high school at that time). After using it for about three years, I decided to take a long (somewhat indefinite) break from game development, and it was only last year since RMMV was released that I decided to return to the beautiful world of game making (or the beautiful game of world making for that matter). This is the first time that I've challenged myself into making a commercial game, and things are going smoothly so far with Eredia: Diary of Heroes (Thank God I didn't forget everything I learned about game making). Besides making games, I am working full time as a Japanese->English translator/interpreter, and am also pursuing my Masters Degree in Psychology. My hobbies include Playing/Making Games, Watching Anime, Reading, and Powerlifting. I'm new here, but I'd love nothing more than to get along with the fellow devs of this community who share the same love for playing and/or making RPGs. (Hmm... the introduction didn't sound troll-ish at all... maybe I'm getting good at this...)
