    Enex2

GAME DOWNLOAD: Enex2 Download (Version 1.4) Abstract: Low-Gimmicks Vast Fantasy RPG with large amounts of exploration Genre: Fantasy RPG Average Game Time: 25-40+ hours, depending on the amount of optional content seeked Story / Setting / Purpose: One day, after sermon, you realize that your brother Brendan has gone missing. Though you begin this day by searching for your brother, it ends with you finding yourself the target of some strange conspiracy which earns you the ire of the powerful Carillean Kingdom, which seems to believe that you are a dark preacher of the forbidden god, Skiack. By seeking out supernatural aid, as well as accepting the aid of new friends met along the way, will you be able to prove your innocence and perhaps even get to the bottom of just what is happening in Carille's government? Enex is basically a Low-Gimmicks RPG. It is simple and the main goal at all points of the game is fun. The focus is on giving the player the feel of being in an expansive world that begs to be explored. Exploring through dungeons is more than simply making your way from point A to point B, but are frequently based around puzzles and almost always contain a dungeon challenge, a minigame which will your test your reflexes to earn your survival! As another step to prevent the tedium that is so often found in RPG games, all enemies are visible on the map before they are faced. They can be snuck around instead of fought. However, once slain, most monsters do not return. This means that in most cases, the EXP that can be earned has a cap. It is not my intention to encourage "grinding" in this game, as I find the action to be dull and often trivializes the intentionally difficult encounters. One should feel safe to explore and backtrack, with little fear of having to face the same monster in the same place over and over again. Finally, Enex2 has a large focus on optional content. There are numerous optional (some extremely difficult) bosses, side quests, and minigames to play in order to reward those who enjoy exploring. Character Bios: Credits: Screenshots: Features: The game is jam packed with sidequests, optional content, and minigames. I dare someone to find everything without the help of the FAQ! Some examples of such optional content includes: *A Mining/Ore Smelting/Fishing/Herb Gathering/Wood Gathering/Holy Water Blessing optional minigames, most of which are a test of reflexes. These profession skills can only be unlocked by performing a sidequest in certain towns, and then by playing a minigame to gather the materials. *Hidden Wisdom Fountains throughout the world, those who can seek them out and answer their riddles are rewarded with strange stones. *Optional bosses everywhere. Hunt down the Dragons to claim powerful equipment. Seek out and destroy the hidden and anguished Hades Spirits to earn the right to face the greatest challenge in the game. *In almost every dungeon, there is a minigame challenge that must be completed to pass through. This ranges from catching rabbits to dodging falling rocks to avoiding a series of gouts of lava. Most of these are reflex based. Enex features a small degree of character customization through its ability system. The skills known by the characters are determined not through your base level (which will determine your stats) but instead through a level of proficiency in that type of skill. All characters have two separate types of skills and will gain proficiency through using them. For example, the priest Farik is capable in both Bows and Healing Magic. One player who find themselves frequently using Farik to sling arrows at enemies will discover far more bow skills than healing magics. A different player might find himself with a balanced Farik, who is skilled both in the Bow and the Healing Art but masters neither, and a final, more conservative player might find his Farik somewhat green with his bow but holding great mastery in healing. Known Issues: Version 1.1 of the game has a gamecrashing bug: Upon acquiring the character "Ralla", the game will crash if you attempt to access her equipment screen. You can resolve this by going into the Graphics/Battlers folder and copying the "Ralla2.png" graphic, renaming it "019-Theif04". This bug is not present in the most recent version of the game (1.2+) You must have the "Calibri" Font installed on your computer. It is highly likely you already have it, but if not, it is easy to install. One example of a place to do so is here: http://www.cufonfonts.com/en/font/12048/calibri Version 1.2 of the game has a game progression issue. Upon defeating the Final Boss of the game, the ending cutscene does not play. Please update to version 1.3 if you encounter this bug. Version 1.3: In Torrentia Cave, floor is completely black due to missing graphics. Bug fixed in Version 1.4. If you feel that your save file has been broken, contact me and I will fix it for you.
  6. Dark Gaia proudly presents the spiritual successor to the One Night series. Introduction Mythos: The Beginning is a survival horror/adventure role playing game based on the pulp-horror and monster movies of the 1930s. Set in London in 1934, Mythos tasks you with creating your own paranormal investigator from scratch and guiding them through a frightening exploration of the infamous Harborough Asylum. Three young university students have vanished while attempting to conduct a scientific survey of this dreaded place, and it's up to you to find them! Throughout the night you'll discover that Harborough Asylum's reputation is more than an urban legend, and you'll have to fight for your life against otherworldly Lovecraftian foes. Story Harborough Asylum is an abandoned mental hospital located on the outskirts of London. It was established in 1882 and soon built up a reputation as London's harshest institution thanks to its brutal and controversial treatments. After a string of mysterious patient deaths, said to number more than 40 victims, it was finally closed down during World War I and has been disused ever since. Despite this turn of events, Harborough Asylum remained one of England's most infamous sites, soon becoming the subject of an alarming number of local ghost stories. Now Harborough Asylum is a place where only the most bravest (or foolish) men would dare to tread. You play as a renowned paranormal investigator, best known for solving a famous missing persons case several years ago. Tonight, Professor Harrison Blacktail, a mysterious academic somehow connected to the asylum's past, has turned up in your hotel room at the Imperial Arms. He has commissioned you for the most dangerous case of your career: search for three missing students inside Harborough Asylum, and discover whether the terrifying legends are true. Characters You - You're a paranormal investigator of some renown. Now you're about to face the most frightening case of your career. Professor Blacktail - A mysterious demonology professor with some connection to Harborough Asylum. Peter - A famous American cat burglar who came for the antique furniture and got much more than he bargained for. Luana - A terrified psychic trapped in her worst nightmare. 7. Engine: RPGMaker VX Genre: Fantasy RPG Length: +- 7.5 hours Status: Complete Hi guys. My name is Luchino, and after keeping this project of mine limited to two sites ( rpgmaker.net and rpgmakerweb.com, it originally debuted on rpgmakervx.net in February 2011 to lots of acclaim ), I've decided to share it with this community as well. This is my first serious project that has undergone several overhauls between 2010 and 2013, finally reaching completion in September 2013. It has been well recieved by many who have played it, praising the game for its rich world-building and stellar soundtrack and visuals. The game is heavily influenced by Celtic mythology. I hope you enjoy playing it. =) Story Synopsis: Character Bios: Screenshots: All maps are done in the editor. 0% parallaxing. Download: http://rpgmaker.net/games/2985/downloads/5169/ 194mb, requires the RPGMaker VX RTP to play. Fanart: Credits: That's that. Hope you hear from you soon. =)
  8. I'm also covering SIC on my blog at Pixel Brady Pixel Brady: Scima Invasion Crew, lazily titled by breeding Sci-Fi and fantasy magic into the system, is a short repeatable game based around a small crew of specialists who invade a rebel base to save the world or some such. Truthfully there's not really much of a story! Play now? v1.2 is out now and can be downloaded from Mediafire. Playtime? Each playthrough clocks around 30~40 mins on average (at least during the test runs) but with three routes to the end and ten classes to pick from (as well as passwords to unlock extra features after completing a run) it's designed to be playable more than once! Features, you ask? Sci-Fi & Magic! Handguns, grenades, combat specialists and magicians all wrapped up together in a mission to punch through an evil base! Simple maps, simple graphics, simple story. It's a simple game with simple mechanics. Sounds boring maybe, but that's part of the point; to just be able to dive right in and play with class combinations! No free recovery points or Inns to stay at. You need to rely entirely on your crew and any supplies you find. You begin with plenty of supplies but they start running out as the enemies get stronger! Conservation is key! No levels! Your crew is always stronger and better than any baddies you find (except bosses!) so your only worry is supply attrition; can you save all your best stuff for the bosses? Ten available classes to mix, match and combine into your crew. With eight common skills between everyone and four unique skills per class, there's plenty of tactical differences between using each class. All skills have unique and varied damage calculations which are shown in the descriptions for you to accurately and tactically decide which skills are best used at any given time. Permanent death! Losing someone hurts your chances of completing the mission, but airlocks across the base allow you a chance to request backup from four other crew members waiting to aid you! Three different paths leading to the bases inexplicable core. Each path can be backtracked and taken (if you want) to give you different bosses and paths to take when trying different class combos. Unlockable Boss Rush Mode! Fight every boss in the game in direct succession with no ammo refills, no backup calls and no breathing time between! Unlockable Survival Mode! Fight an endless supply of baddies with random bosses mixed in! Three optional bosses who make even the General look like a miniboss! Oh no! Screenies? Oh, it was Details you wanted? It's a simple game based off a simple concept I wanted to try implementing. There's literally more tutorial textboxes than there are dialogue/story, as that was never really a part of it. I liked the idea of seeing sci-fi and fantasy magic put together (which is something I rarely see) but wasn't as interested in story as the concept itself. It also helped with the skills, as I mixed together "tech points" (a victor script) and mp use. Between the ten classes who have their own skilltrees, everyone has a various mix of skills utilising both of them to different degrees. By then putting unique damage calcs to each skill that involved a mixture of stats, and then limiting ammo boxes and mp tonics, it forces you to tactically decide which skills to use when, so you always have some left over for the boss. These classes include a Marine who uses firearms to attack. These weapons do very strict damage that's modified only by an enemies defence. They target single enemies, while Grenadiers will use explosives that target everyone. There's also a Healer who uses magic that heals based both on their magic attack, but the targets own magic stats as well. Healers use magic to heal whole groups at once, while Medics use single target heal and buffs that (non-magically) deal strict amounts rather than stat based. The rest of the game? The mapping is uninspired visually, although the game as a whole is mapped out in such a way that there are three separate routes to the boss (with backtracking possible) so I just spent more time actually planning routes than trying to prettify it. I kept one tileset throughout the whole game, but made an effort to change the basic visual look after every couple of bosses. But besides that; you can save anywhere, death is a permanent feature so you have to conserve even peoples lives, but every so often you'll find an airlock where you can request up to four more people to come and help you. Most importantly is just the cute, chibi battle appearance! So harmless looking, but I think it goes well Anyhoo, blether over. Credits?

    rmvx ace Demon Slayer Z

Demon Slayer Z Download Here! Abstract This game was created for the Encounters of the Boss Kind contest event held over at rpgmakerweb.com in celebration for RPG Maker’s 24th birthday. It placed 3rd with a tie between my entry and Lamia must die! by MISTER BIG T (you can actually also download and play his entry as well!). Effectively, this is a microgame requiring less than an hour to complete. It consists only of a couple of cutscenes and a boss, using only RTP and no scripts what-so-ever. Story The story is really simple actually. And cliched as crud, but that’s kinda the point. The game takes the format of a single episode from a series of games, but thrusts you in near the end to fight the second to last boss. The story up to this point is basically that the big-bad Demon Lord had possessed a little girl and threatened to destroy the world in 7 days. The heroes of our tale stand up and go on a journey to stop him. Yeah. That’s pretty much it. Characters Hiro, The Swordsaint Hero: Hiro takes the place of the party’s hero. He fancies himself to be the leader of the group when in fact the more definitive leader is probably Heila. Hiro lampoons shonen anime with his portrayal as a samurai with ridiculously named attacks. He uses a sword in combat and focuses on generating TP to use his ultimate attack. He also functions as a backup healer. Heila, The Shieldmaiden: Heila is the party’s tank and healer. She’s the real leader of the party, though she’s generally rather uptight and realistic. She’s a no-nonsense type of person. Heila has next to no real damage output, but can taunt attacks onto her and has several self-buffing and self-healing abilities. She also has a weak party-wide heal that also removes status conditions and a panic-heal that takes half of her health and gives it to someone else. Mahjee, The Manaburner: Mahjee is the party’s mage. He’s missing a few screws and is a complete pyromaniac. He looks up to Heila as a sister, despite them not being related at all. He absolutely loves to set things on fire, and all of his spells involve fire in some way. Mahjee’s core mechanic is that his spells deal more damage based on how much mana he currently has, causing him to deal more damage early on while it simmers down the longer the fight goes until her can recover. The Desperado, The Man Without a Name: The Desperado is the party’s wildcard character. I decided to make him a kind of utility-damager because the party needed something like that still. The Desperado is a mysterious character whose reasons for joining the party to save the world are unknown even to them; however he’s a good shot and has been helpful so they’ve kept him around. He’s a bit snarky though, which annoys Heila to all ends. The Desperado is a character based around luck, from his randomly-targeting attacks to his reliance on critical hits. His signature move is Tack Driver, which hits a random number of times with each successive hit having a lesser chance of triggering than the one before it. There is approximately a 2.5% chance that it will hit with all of its shots and have an additional special effect. Credits Game by gcook725 Testing by Raiok and Rhymxr No additional resources outside of the RTP are used No additional scripts outside of the default engine are used Screenshots Features A short microgame that shouldn’t take more than an hour to complete. A semi-challenging boss fight with hints included should you fail. An unencrypted game to be used as a tool by newer RM’ers to learn how the battle and cutscenes were created and set up. Known Issues: None for now. I fixed a couple that were present when I submitted the entry originally. If you find any gimme a shout and I’ll get them fixed up!

    Lamia must die!

Lamia must die! Abstract: Lamia must die! was a contest entry done for Encounters of Boss Kind. Since it actually placed 3rd of 28 entries (going for a tie with Demon Slayer Z), I went ahead and improved the game with improved graphics and more depth involving battle system before release to general public. It has an opening, the fight against Lamia herself and then the ending which is afflicted by which of the heroes survive. If all four heroes survive, there's a special ending. The battle can be somewhat tricky and requires use of strategy. The difficulty is medium-hard to hard, depending on how familiar with RPG mechanics you are.
