Well, by looking at the tags, you can safely assure that I have a lot on my mind pretty much 24/7, and I won't deny it one bit. I am a true artist, and relaxing is something that I really just cannot do! Alright, so you may be asking, what are these interests in the tags? Well, RM is RPG Maker, but in truth, it goes beyond the software, to D&D, to RPG Gaming, and so on, but I absolutely love the RM software because of its' versatility. I'm not much of an expert with making a game, but I know how to manage switches, variables, and many other things. It also helps that I am an excellent writer because I know how to make text appear in the confines of any text box, know how to correct spelling errors as well as grammar and context. I'm useful there as well as writing story narrative and character dialogue. In RGSS...I know how some of the basic commands work, but I really am a novice at this. If I were asked to write a script I'd defer to someone with greater expertise. So, mods and hacks... As far as mods go, I've done a few but have a lot of modding tools because I have an interest in using them and/or have used them and will again at some point. Some of the modding tools I have are... LunarMagic (SMW) Epic Edit (SMK) Ochu (FFVII Trainer) Wall Market (Shop Modder for FFVII) All-In-One Mod (it is a mod for Guitar Hero: World Tour PC that enables one to use every song from every game from World Tour through Warriors of Rock with all DLC included) - currently in cloud storage DDFF DLC toolkit (it allows one to create custom DLC for Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy for the PSP) Hacks: Most of the hacks I've done involve virtual cheat devices like Cheat Engine, nothing too spectacular to cover here... Yes, I love Guitar Hero, and I want to bring the series back someday, re-vamped and everything, with every single last song ever released for the game including all DLC and much more all in one game. I won't explain further on this as it is incredibly extensive. FL Studio? What's that? Fruity Loops Studio is a VST sequencer, basically a music studio like ACID and such. I use this to make my own music. Vocaloid? Caught up by the hype? I really just love Hatsune Miku; she's so pretty and so is her voice. Shut up, naysayer. I use her as a backing vocalist, and she's also my lead guitarist. Suck it; rock music rules, your pop music steals (money). FoF? iX? EOF? Phase Shift??? FoF is Frets on Fire, an old game (sort of) that's basically a (somewhat) bad copy of Guitar Hero. You only get to play as Lead Guitar, and if you have a guitar controller plugged in, it might not work. But the best part is this guy by the name of Jurgen (whose last name is utterly ridiculous). He's a really funny narrator whose job is to tell you how much you suck because he rocks this game. He's funny, but not everyone will like his humor. FoFiX is Frets on Fire X, which is an open-source improvement of Frets on Fire, which allows one to play as drums, guitar, bass, rhythm guitar, anything that can be played in Rock Band 2, with the engine mainly copying RB2 functionality (you can play Vocals as well provided you have a decent microphone). EOF is Editor on Fire, which allows one to edit charts made for several different rhythm games. You can do a lot with this software, chart songs from new music files, modify existing charts, among at least a thousand other things. One can edit the following instrument charts directly: Guitar Bass Rhythm Drums (edits RB Pro Drums simultaneously) - has functionality for both four and five lane drums as well as Expert + difficulty Guitar Co-Op (for GH2 through Aerosmith charts this is Lead Guitar in Co-Op Mode) Keys (only seen in RB3) Vocals (editing interface is a piano roll) Dance (for Dance games like DDR) Pro Guitar/Bass (RB3) - each instrument chart are separate 22 Fret Guitar/Bass (Rocksmith) - has more functionality than Pro charts and are separate from Pro charts Instrument charts that are pseudo-supported but not editable directly (as of yet): Pro/Two-Handed Keys (Pro Keys is a RB3 thing) Vocal Harmonies (again a Rock Band thing that allows for backing vocalists to participate) These require REAPER + a specific plugin to edit (out of my expertise) Phase Shift is a mega improvement on Frets on Fire, but pretty much none of the FoF or FoFiX engines were used. PS is basically a clone of Rock Band 3, but it can handle pretty much anything that EOF creates (though Vocals are simply shown on screen if that option is turned on because singing vocals is not supported as of yet). Some things that FoFiX could not do (like Part Keys, Expert + Drums), Phase Shift can do. On Bass, FoFiX had no support for this setting called Sysex (handles Pro Drums, Open Strums, and so on), but Phase Shift does, however, Open Strums is only supported for Part Bass. I love this software. It's not really a game, since most of its' functionality tends to cater towards testing your made/modified charts to see if the notes like, line up with the song, or if like many novices who just wanted to throw their songs into a custom GH2 ISO, don't sync up at all. It is very resource heavy, just a warning, because it largely relies on big files like image files, midi files (where the note charts are stored), xml files, ini files; it is basically run off of a sh*t-ton of configs. It is open source so anyone who has the expertise can edit it as they wish (and dwsk really doesn't give a shit if you do or not). Oh yeah, it supports multi-tracks too (quite a few actually). drums (usually found in RB songs before Rock Band 3) drums_1 (this is usually the kick/bass drum only) drums_2 (usually correlates with the snare and other percussion such as the "MORE COWBELL!!" lol) drums_3 (toms, cymbals, sometimes a mix of things) drums_4 (cymbals, toms, extra percussion but not usually found with RB songs) guitar (Lead and Co-Op share this) rhythm (usually bass but Part Bass and Part Rhythm both use this if it is present) keys (a RB2/3 thing) vocals (in most cases, lead and backing vocals will be in a mix) vocals_1 (lead vocals - rarely found with standard songs) vocals_2 (backing vocals - rarely found with standard songs) song (other sounds/ambiance or in the case of the old GH songs is drums vocals and everything else not bass/rhythm or guitar) crowd (if the song has a crowd in the background this is the separate stem for it) Lastly, I am a writer. I write fiction, fan fiction, and literotica mostly. Well, I also write music, but that's for another time. Hi, I'm new, so I don't know where to place this topic. Anyway, I've only recently bought RPG Maker VX Ace and took many of Nicke's XS Scripts. The three I'm having the same problem with are: -XS Press Title (the "Press Start" one) -XS Pre-Title (the opening movie/pictures/text one) -XS Quick Items (the "Press a button to quickly use the item without going through the menu" one) In line 33-35 for Press Title: The button to enter the title scene. # BUTTON = :symbol BUTTON = :Enter In line 66-68 for Pre-Title: # Set the button to manually skip trough each texts and pictures. # BUTTON = symbol BUTTON = :C And line 30-31 for Quick Items: # Set quick slot input buttons. BUTTONS = [:C] they all won't work, when I press them, nothing happens in either case what am I doing wrong? please help
omnimercurial posted a topic in Video GamesSo I was looking around trawling through Deviant Art and Google and stumbled upon this: It is E-103 Upgraded to the MkII Frame usually seen in Game only on E-101 Beta. This Picture really interests me! I'm not sure if it is just a reskinned E-101 in the usual Normal Boss Fight with Beta on the Egg Carrier or if the MkII Frame has been swapped with E-103's Standard Body Frame for the Battle with E-103 in it's usual location? Does anyone know anything about this E Series MkII Upgraded Opponents Mod? I'm also curious if a Mod exists that can give E-102 Gamma the MkII Upgrade? I would love a Playthrough as a Red MkII Gamma!
