2. You just inherited a house in the middle of Nowhere. You have nothing to do. Just to sleep... But every time you sleep, a new guest knocks on your door. One hundred events to be triggered, each night a 1% chance to trigger an individual one. You need to survive, find the way out, and uncover the hidden secrets. https://ostrangerquota.itch.io/wist-will-i-survive-tonight Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_dC8A7o5Ss
3. Kids With Knives is a simple-yet-elegant turn-based RPG taking inspiration from early-2010's creepypasta RPG Maker games. It's not really a horror game, but it incorporates spooky elements. It mostly makes use of stock assets and is fairly low-budget to replicate the homegrown amateurish aesthetic, with the emphasis on the story and gameplay. The game takes place within a single small town and its surrounding areas, which nevertheless constitute a surprisingly expansive, open, and explorable world with many secrets to find. Development is still in progress, but we are expecting to release a playable demo sometime in early 2022! No jumpscares, but content warning for animated blood and violent imagery and descriptions. You and your mom have just moved to the small Minnesota town of Pineshade in search of a new lease on life. For you, this means a new school, new friends, and an unfamiliar environment. Despite being a bit lonely at first, the lush wilderness around the town is ripe for indulging your drive for exploration, and soon you manage to make some friends whom you can drag along on your adventures. But as you begin to notice strange occurrences around the town, and unexplained disappearances are reported, the three of you soon realize the town holds a dark secret: numerous malevolent cryptids and monsters of folklore and urban legend, collectively known as Unfound. The grown-ups don't believe you when you tell them of the supernatural forces at work, and you can't simply let them destroy Pineshade Town... so you and your friends resolve yourselves to stopping the Unfound menace and their mysterious leader. The Player: An adventurous, strong-willed kid who lives alone with their mom, having recently moved to Pineshade Town from the city. The pragmatic Rogue of the group, they can get down and dirty in a fight, with stunning sucker-punches, handfuls of sand, and sneaky hit-and-run attacks all on the table. There is a certain untapped potential in them that could potentially lead to moveset diversification down the line... They carry a pocketknife. Luke: An introverted and somewhat cowardly boy who is nevertheless committed to helping his friends out of a jam. He is a genius tinkerer, able to build all kinds of gadgets to assist his friends in the war against the Unfound. Functionally the Mage of the group, he builds his expansive Tech skill arsenal not through leveling up but through crafting Tech Weapons. He carries a Swiss Army knife. Kiera: A very strange girl who seems to have her head in the clouds most of the time. Reclusive and socially-awkward, but still eager to make friends, she also seems to have a connection with the Unfound that has yet to be discovered. Kiera is the Warrior of the group, savagely attacking and maiming enemies with bloodthirsty abandon. She carries a kitchen knife. Shauna: A classmate of the Player, she is cheerful and studious, but tends to keep to herself. As things escalate, though, it starts to seem like she may have more of a stake in the fight than was previously thought... Shauna plays a support role to the main trio, providing situation reports and offering sidequests that can reward you with additional skills. Maria: The Player's mom. A dedicated parent through-and-through, Maria welcomes the Player's friends as if they were her own kids, giving the trio someone they can always turn to. Frank: Luke's dad, and Pineshade Town's trusted mechanic. Frank is a rough and hardened type who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and he tries his best to be supportive despite not always understanding everything. Mysterious Figure: This sinister being appeared in Pineshade Forest just before the Unfound began to make themselves known. What secrets are they hiding? OTHER Swans In The Wallow

SWANS IN THE WALLOW "Swans in the Wallow" is a retro-horror-mystery-adventure-game with RPG elements in insane 16 colors!! Almost everything in this game I made myself: graphics, music, engine. In classic adventure style you move through rooms, choose actions and solve puzzles. This gameplay is loosened up by turn-based RPG combat encounters. The game is packed with deep nostalgia for ancient text-adventure classics, subcultural references & love for mindf*** plots. Story: Somewhere in East Germany: You wake up in your vacation home after a two-day blackout. But where is your husband Erik? Nobody has noticed or knows how to help you further. Neither the local metalhead savages, nor this ominous religious community that has sealed itself off from the outside world on an old farm for years. You can't get rid of the suspicion that there are dark influences at work here: is it the local satanists, the ooze from the surrounding swamp or is it the nameless cult? Will the residents finally break their silence or will the "spirits" of nature lead you into your husband's arms once again? Summary: Genre: Adventure, RPG Topic: mystery, horror Language: English Duration: ca. 2 hours Features: Limited resources, few save points, go for the high score (!) Inspiration: Das Drachental, The Wind, Faith, Alone In The Dark, Resident Evil 7, Hidetaka Miyazaki, H. P. Lovecraft, Beherit, Taake, Neurosis, Leslie Gore, my bae (Ruby) Music: For the music I chose a mixture of Dark Ambient, Black Metal, Drum & Bass & Electro. Here is the link for the OST of "Swans in the Wallow": The Swans OST Screens: Download link: !!!!!!!!!! Here is the link to my ONEDRIVE!!!!!!!!!! SWANS IN THE WALLOW VERSION 1.51 Thanks to my darling who always supports me. (My high score is 35 btw) ENJOY THE TERROR! 0:

FAE: Volume I

(This was created for television format, and does not translate to game format. This is just my latest story project. I've been working on it since 2016, and started writing it last year.) VOLUME I Created by M.J. Saulnier Mystery/Drama/Science Fiction/Horror Some Mature/Disturbing Scenes “Spanning the breadth of your entire existence, you’ve asked the question, ‘What am I?’ Well, my precious child, I’ve been waiting a lifetime to welcome you home.” —Woman In White FAE follows the lives of several families living in the quiet, rustic little town of White River Valley. An eerie, rural community nestled deep into the valley forest. Nothing in this place is quite as it seems on the surface, and seven teenagers are about to find out exactly why. The mystery runs deep, but the connection between them all runs even deeper. One of those teens is a new girl in town, about to discover the truth about this place, and her own connection to it. Danger lurks beyond every shadow, and secrets remain locked behind every door. FAE is a modern fantasy epic that promises to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. VOLUME I
6. RISING Created by M.J. Saulnier Original RP Concept by Sunal Wolfsbane and M.J. Saulnier Introduction "I prefer to go out at night, when the sun has rested after a long day of polishing the earth. The light is inherently forgiving in nature. It has a way of shining a false beauty over even the ugliest of situations. It gives cosmetic value to an otherwise worthless piece of merchandise. The light is the great deceiver, not the darkness. When the shadows close in around us and threaten to remind us of who we are, it's in the light we seek comfort and salvation. I walk the streets of this forsaken city, passed the dregs, junkies and whores. I see and hear everything that happens in these streets; This concrete Gomorrah. I see a man, a spineless worm, unemployed and hooked on crack cocaine. He collects welfare checks from his brother's mailbox and lives with his girlfriend and her two small children. He spends every penny chasing a high he'll never satisfy and watches her kids suffer, neglected and deprived of a mother and childhood. His eyes are fixed upon a young woman, a prostitute. Her long blonde hair, slim figure and schoolgirl face earn her the money she needs to care for the product of a trick gone horribly wrong. The uninvited seed of a low-life rapist. A foreign invader who left upon her both a gift and a curse. A bittersweet signature left upon her world in the form of a pure, and life-long maternal love, marred by the memory of her violator every time she looks him in the eyes. The pipe in his left coat pocket is still warm, and his mind races, the pane of glass between himself and reality slightly cracked and smudged. Only two things rest on his feeble, one-track mind. That perfect backside and the sexual release it will offer him, and the $600 which rests in her purse beside a loaded .45. Nothing good happens tonight. Nothing that can be summed up beautifully, or packaged neatly by a deep moral observation. People hide within the light. Hoping, praying that all of their superficial bullshit is in any way true, or in any way will protect them from the cruel reality of the human condition... Evil. Sin, and the capacity to commit sinful acts of violence, greed, or deviance dwell within us all. The road to heaven is paved with corpses... So watch your step." —Preacher

Geiken

The first in any incorporeal step is to rise and become cognizant of your own desires. All walks of life must adhere to this simple concept. Resistance to such is to follow what is laid out before you, progressing infinitely through kalpas created over nonsensical dreamstates. How? Because all paths are laid out regardless of prior choice. The most difficult area in this regard is to accept this as an absolute, and move forward with what is necessary. Defiance is not optional. You only have a single directive - comply. Description Geiken is a mystery/philosophical story set in a fantasy/sci-fi world, inspired by games from the Legend of Zelda, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout series. The focus is on the writing and storytelling, covering themes of identity, apotheosis, and the pursuit of happiness. Decisions can be made that alter the course of the narrative and the landscape of the finale. There are six different endings that occur based on prior choices. Abstract: A narrative-focused game with an emphasis on player-protagonist engagement and unintended consequences based on player choice. Genre: Mystery, fantasy, and sci-fi Game Progression: Complete (Download is at the bottom of the post.) Trailer Story Characters Current Features - A 20-30 hour main storyline spread across 10 quests. - A quest journal system. - An in-game compass that points to your current objective. Can be turned on and off. - Combat is ABS, meaning you fight on the map. Companions are also able to fight alongside you. - 30+ optional dungeons. - 20+ side quests. - 100+ unique weapons, armor, and items, all with different abilities and stats. - Many readable, in-game books that expand on the lore. - Open world gameplay. Kasatmata - Chapter 1

KASATMATA (THE SEEN) - CHAPTER 1 Full + Extended version Developer : Radian F (cradth helverd) Latest version : Chapter 1 Extended v2.20 "Cultures all around the world believe in spirits that survive death to live in another realm." +STORY & CHARACTER+ Kasatmata - Chapter 1 begins during the recording of the TV show called "Beda Dunia", a "supernatural-challenge" reality show where the contestant will stay in a "haunted place" for an hour and a half without the lightings except a candle. You'll lead a brave guy, Satria, who doesn't believe in ghosts. He's a non-believer of all things supernatural, seek anyone who can prove to him that ghost is real. This time, he's trying to uncover the tricks behind the show, but in the end of the challenge, something is coming up. The TV crew are gone without a single trace. Is this part of the show? Or could you reveal the truth behind this strange event? You may interpret the plot and decide the final act as you wish. +FEATURES+ You'll find 5 different endings, each holds different conclusion from one another, the good ones bring you a revelation and the bad ones will bring up more questions. The game's average playtime ranges from 45 minutes ~ 2 hours to reach the good endings. Brave Meter is the only attribute you have to watch over during the exploration. It will vary and determine the amount of fear effects you may withstand. Lower Brave Meter also means you'll see more supernatural phenomena before your eyes. You can use computer mouse to play this game (one-handed gameplay wise). Choice is yours. +SCREENSHOTS+ +VIDEO+ +CREDITS+ +DOWNLOADS+ Yosh! Have fun! \ (^o^) /

14. The Town That Feared Nightfall NOTICE! This will be updated with each new update to the game itself (current update is in the exe's name). Abstract: A small town is suddenly gripped with fear as a killer randomly picks them off at night, and only you can save them if you're quick enough to find them. Genre: Horror, murder mystery, and MLP FIM (Friendship Is Magic) Average Demo Time: 30 minutes at most Game Progression: At the moment the game only goes up to the end of night 2, which can end in a couple of ways. There are unfinished bits, like characters having no lines at certain parts. I'm trying to mainly focus on the story and important moments, but I will go back and add character lines after I get enough of the story done. The game will take a long time to finish and fully write, since there are more than 1 outcome to certain cutscenes, hence why you'll see characters just standing idly and mute. My best friend, Silvergunner, tested the game and told me to resize a house or two to better match the building's outside shape. So I'll be doing that sometime in the future, also---and spoiler for night 2 so read at your own risk. Also, if you play the tutorial lvls there is a glitch that I just cannot fix. I'll be posting a topic about it but basically it's a pathfinding/stealth issue. Other than that my friend reported no other glitches, but if you manage to run into one be sure to let me know. Also! Almost forgot but if you play the game then do so as the female character. Why? Because I wrote 85% of the game's cutscenes so far for her, I'll have to go back and rewrite nearly every single cutscene with the male character, which I'm not gonna do until I get most of the game completed. Recruitment: I can't really pay to recruit people, but whoever plays the alphas and help report bugs and such will all get credited when game is completed. Story / Setting / Purpose: The game will be mostly set in a single town (it's mostly empty with a in-game reason given). You can pick between a male or female character (again pick the latter for now, unless you want to see her cutscenes as the male character) who arrive in town on your way either to a collage or to become a teacher. However, when you stay overnight you are awoken by a scream. A pony is found dead, and it is only the beginning as you soon become the victim of a sickening game. If you're quick you can save the lives of a few ponies, but take to long and their death is on your hands (or just let them die for a very bad ending, you monster XD). So if you play your cards right you can save more than 1 life (WHEN I fully write said outcomes), a key feature is your choices and the possible paths, endings, and character interactions. The purpose of this game is take a old yet still commonly used story and rework it with a new twist. Taking something old and breathing life into it with a totally new spin, and if you're a FIM fan you'll know what I mean when you play the alpha which only begins the mystery. Another key feature I want to do is leave enough open for people to theorize and connect all the dots like they would for the FNAF series. So you'll be getting clues and pieces to a puzzle that, when you get every possible ending and scenes, are still left with enough to want to theorize and figure out the key question that the game never gives you. So, in shorter words, a cult classic is what I'm hoping to create. Character Bios: Credits: Well at the time of this current alpha the credits would be: Rainbow Jello and Recife for the blood titles, Jet for the chase script, Eric Matyas for the game's main theme ( www.soundimage.org ), Rikifive for her help with the chase script I had to give up on, D.S.Sirius for telling me branches were a similar way to collect and reuse letters, William TheUnproPro and Mystic Sword Gaming for their video tuts over at youtube, Wewius for allowing me to use his scroll vectors (with minor edits) from DA. Avery for the telephone sprites, Enterbrain and Flaming Teddy Productions for the hospital room, ~JV~ as well as Twitch for a few custom items, and Silvergunner for helping me by test playing. Also I would like to credit Conan McPhee (http://pinkamenathegame.tumblr.com/) as without his permission to adopt the randomized characters in his game, then all of the OCs (least Speedy, Silver Shadow, Axl, and Yumi Everton) wouldn't had existed. Screenshots: NEW image of the killer, as well as what he/she would look like in the Equestria Girls world. You can already see the killer in the game's main title, so not really a spoiler. -In-game screenshots- Not really screenshots but here are a couple avatars I drew for the game. Features: Turns out, and thanks for Silvergunner trying this at pure random, you can use a controller to play the game! Tho he did so by using Xpadder, which is a free program that lets you use PC/Laptop/emulators with a controller. Give it a try if you prefer a controller over a keyboard! Also the key feature to the game, after I fully write it all, are different possible paths and cutscenes. Ugh it'll take a long time to write all of this. XD Download: (will regularly update) http://www.mediafire.com/file/bowvi09bs4dm6wt/The+Town+That+Feared+Nightfall+6-13-2017.7z I used the options so you can play it even without RPG Maker. Known Issues: For info on all issues and updates I added a Readme inside the zip.
15. Hello everybody! I'm Novem, also known here as Obrusnine or The Nine. I have been developing Erebus: The Crime Project for the past six months, a Danganronpa-inspired mystery visual novel set in the far future (though, to be honest, it doesn't feel like it most of the time). After hundreds of hours (about 300 I think by now, I've lost count) of work writing, developing, and testing... I'm finally ready to show off the completed prologue here in my old favorite community. Because this time, instead of disappearing randomly, I'm going to finish something! That's why I made sure to finish this entire 2-3 hour slice of the game before I posted here, though luckily I've been able to solicit help from the Danganronpa subreddit for a few things (though, this time around, I've tried mostly to rely on myself). But that's enough about me and the journey to get this far, let's get into the game! NOTE: At current, the game is ~11.1 percent complete. NOTE 2: The game will be released in an episodic fashion, one chapter at a time until the game is complete. You will be able to carry your saves between chapters. NOTE 3: If you're interested, I'm writing a tie-in novel for this game and can share it chapter by chapter as I release it through PMs (I can't post it publicly as I plan to sell it once it's done, but I hand out digital copies of my books to anyone who asks). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT MATURE CONTENT All screens taken from Male POV because I'm lazy.

Pathway: Desire+

Pathway: Desire+: Abstract: A wanderer has to find her way out of a cave. Genre: Fantasy, Dungeon crawler Average Play Time: 1:30 / 2 hours Game Progression: Finished! Story / Setting / Purpose: During Indie in a week V, I created what I thought would be a fun and simple dungeon crawler. Unfortunately, not enough playtesting led it to be too difficult and not very enjoyable at all. So I had to rebalance it. This rebalance has come out somewhat on the easy side, but I can live with that, maybe with some feedback, I can reach the exact balance. Alone and afraid Erika finds herself trapped in a mysterious cavern where inscrutable forces pull at her and danger lurks at every corner. Can you help her survive the hordes of monsters standing between her and the truth? Character Bios: Erika: Little is known of this wanderer, she's very confident on her own skills and more than a little naive, but she is determined to find the truth even if it costs her her life. Will her desire be enough carry her through this dark pathway? A pure melee character, Erika learns only one magical skill and a few support ones she's your tank and she can take the punishment as well as she can deal it. Valda: A traveling priestess Who has also found herself trapped in the cavern. Sarcastic and somewhat violent, she's still an steadfast ally. With few and far between offensive skills, despite her personality, Valda is mostly a support character. It falls on her shoulders to keep the team alive and healthy and she's well equipped for it. Faith: A mage and scholar from the Lyseria university, Faith unlike our two previous characters has been exploring the caves out of her own free will. Untrusting and with a sharp tongue Faith has some trouble fitting in your party; but her need for survival is stronger than her mistrust... for now. Taking advantage of elemental weaknesses (most enemies have them *wink, wink*) Faith is the most offensive minded character of the party, sadly she's sorely lacking in the defense department making her fall to enemy attacks and strong breezes alike. Be sure to keep her alive! "Back" Arrow

Hello! I've got a request which should be quite easy. I'm making a Mystery/Detective/Attorney game and would need a little "go back" arrow for the investigation scenes. It'd be even cooler if you could animate that arrow. Here's an example of how it could look like, but it's up to you. Blue would be a nice color and I'd prefer a comic-like look. Thank you in advance, ~Mastermind
23. In 2021 we have been contacted from a planet in a distant universe, claiming it's Earth. There was not really much we could do about it, as we cannot communicate with it from our side... and travel seems impossible from both sides. But it's not. SciFi RPG I was expecting the project to progress slowly. Sadly, it's progressing too slow. Nothing i can do about it though. 20% is what i got so far... June 2021 By the time Jiro realizes that a big Pharma company is for some reason after him, he disappears. While Jiro's friends are looking for answers, they realize that their life's will never be the same again... (This is an over-simplified version of the story. Full story elements are provided within the game. I decided that rather giving the player walls & walls of text to read even before he starts playing, providing the player with story elements in-game, is much more player-friendly.) I make use of scripts made by the following people: (a more extensive list will be provided once the project nears competition) TheoAllen SoulPour777 Tsukihime Galv YanFly The following screenshots are outdated. Instead of update them i think i rather upload a short game-play video in a few days. - A story driven game - - Dark Comedy elements - - Use of Adventure-genre elements - - Character relationships & Decisions to make - - Items & Enemies Encyclopedia - - Fully interactive in-game A.I. with supported speech - - Turn-based battles - - No revivals. If a character dies in battle, he's out of the game - More that one ending Thread edited for the 4th time
24. Abstract: An adventure about a woman who owns a tea shop in the middle of all realities. Genre:RPG, side-scroller, puzzler, side scroller, Sci-Fi, Horror, H.P. Lovecraft Game Progression: 5% Story / Setting / Purpose: Mrs. E Chapter One "On Reflection" is a serial RPG about a woman who owns a tea shop in the middle of every reality, finding herself on various adventures throughout the Multiverse. Ironically all she wants is to get tea for her shop but ends up saving the day from all manner of evil. Mrs. E will be a side scrolling mystery science fiction RPG with a unique artistic scrap book montage to the GUI and some other goodies. Set on alternative realities, planets and times Mrs. E covers many adventures on countless worlds. Playing as either the titular character or one of her companions, you solve mysteries, fight mastermind villains and make choices at the end of each game that will have a profound impact on the ending of each game, and the following game should you wish to continue your experiences from the last. The biggest myetery you have to face in the 13 episodes of the series is who Elizabeth was in her previous life, and why it was so important she forget about it. Character Bios: Elizabeth (Mrs. E): The owner of the strange little tea shop who's doors open to literally anywhere. She is very English and quirky, dark and mysterious and insists she is married. To whom is probably the biggest mystery in her life. She has lead many different lives before, with many different faces and many names, all beginning with the letter "E" and often refers to a time where for her "Everything changed". Whilst caring and emotional on the outside, she has lived so many lives she often finds herself aloof and out of ouch, constantly needing that human interaction to keep her focused. Her greatest frustration, however, is not remembering her previous life and spends most of the series trying to solve that mystery. Credits: Music: TBH Artwork: Josh Clark Scripts: Atelier Rgss Screenshots: . Features: A side scroller adventure spanning countless realities in which you must solve the mystery of your past and in the process make sure your multidimensional tea room stays in business. Little combat, but any there will be will be adapted from a unique system I am currently researching.
25. Spirit Host Initially an entry (and winner! ) for Game In a Week 13 over at RMRK ( http://rmrk.net/index.php?topic=49365.0 ) titled Spirit Summoner Girl, Spirit Host is an Adventure RPG about ghosts and their dark worlds. After numerous changes, I'm finally confident with the direction of the game. This is an RPG with an emphasis on involving combat and player choice. Backed by a character centric story, I hope to make a game enjoyable to all kinds of players. Story You play as a high school student named Natsumi. After your parents went away on a business trip, you move in with your older brother, Toshiro to continue your schooling. Many strange occurrences have been happening in town; from students going missing, to ritualistic suicides, and crazed murderers. No one really understands the true reason for these horrible events. The rumor going around town is that of an evil supernatural force passing through Japan and leaving a wave of death in its path. You and your allies will either align with the Spirits or take control of them, and use your new-found powers to change your world. Characters (More Coming Soon) Screenshots Features -More than 60 Host Spirits (3 variants each makes it more than 180 Hosts) -In depth battle system -Stat Allocation -Unique Equipment system lets you play how you want -Multiple Endings -Custom Art -Hosting System- Combat The most important rule of combat in Spirit Host is that you will have just 3 Points of Mana. Every skill costs only 1 MP, however there is a type of Equipment called Artifacts; each Artifact teaches a Unique Skill that costs 2 MP. Whenever an enemy is slain (or through alternative methods), the entire party will restore 1 MP. After every battle, the party regains their MP. You will not be at the mercy of your MP, from special Accessories to Powerful Host combinations, you will learn to use the system to work for you. Conversation At the start of every enemy encounter, you will have the opportunity to interact with the Spirits. Here you can talk to the Spirits. Not all Spirits act the same, giving gifts or telling them what they want to hear will make Spirits respond to you in a beneficial manner. Spirits can run from you, get more aggressive, rally their allies, or even sacrifice their Souls into your hands without a fight, simply to serve you. Hosts/Crafting Every enemy Spirit you encounter can have their "Soul" taken. If you manage to take a Spirit's Soul, you can equip it on any party member. It will grant 3 new skills to the Holder. You can only Host one Spirit at a time, which means you will only have 3 spells at one time (Initially). To truly dominate in battles, you will need to find good Host Combinations among your team. Deeper into Spirit Host, you can learn to craft Spirit Cards. Spirit Cards will permanently teach a skill to a character. To limit player grinding, whenever a Spirit does not drop its Soul after the battle, you will be instead granted special Materials used to create Spirit Cards. Defeating an enemy is always getting you closer to advancing your character, not just in terms of Level. Credits
