    OTHER Venaitura

Lord Zadigan has summoned the dread Tower of Venaitura from the depths of theDark World of Radunga and is using it to spread his evil influence across the the land. He has dispatched his finest combatants, the Six Purveyors of Doom, to retrieve the only six artifacts capable of stopping him. Summon four Champions from the Realm of Heroes and lead them across Tsufanaon a journey to thwart the malevolent Lord of Monsterkind. Shall you banish Zadigan and his vile conjurings back to Radunga in a bid to restore peace to the world forevermore? Or will the forces of darkness at long last overthrow the realm of light? Only you can decide. In this harrowing tale of Good VS Evil, you'll assemble a party of Four Champions from Nine available Character Classes and lead them on an arduous journey to topple Lord Zadigan's forces. You'll conquer six distinct lands wrought with monsters and other nefarious ne'er-do-wells as you aim to destroy the Six Purveyors of Doom and end the misery brought in their wake. As it has always been, my latest project has taken a page from Dragon Quest/Warrior's book and focuses on the journey more so than the destination. Each continent and island you'll visit while traversing the vast world of Tsufana is complete with its own self-contained tale involving one of Zadigan's Purveyors of Doom and a Heavenly Artifact. "Venaitura" builds heavily upon what I attempted with both "Dragon Fantasy 2" and "Dragon Fantasy: Heroes of Tsufana". Unlike its predecessors however, you're given free reign over how to assemble your party; the "Hero" class is no longer mandatory! There's also slightly more focus on the story and character interaction/dialogue than my other "retro/classic" projects, but the adventure and exploration will (as always) be at the forefront. 2. I do remember well the first time I Heard the name Dragon quest. It was in a videogame magazine I saw in the street and, because when I was 9 I was a little Jrpgs fan, I asked my parents if they could buy it. They bought it at christmas and I must say that that decision was a great one, such great that, as you see, I still remember it. Now, at the age of 17, I've played almost every Dragon quest game to date (except XI), and one day I thought: "Why don't I remake the first Dragon quest game in rpgmaker?"; I began, with that simple premise, to embark myself on a journey of almost 2 years. Was it difficult? Sure it was, but the reward is great. By just having this little remake, I feel like I did a great tribute to the origin of one of my favorites franchises, Dragon quest. This is just an ode to the beginning of everything, to the beginning of Dragon quest. -Story Long before the game begins, a man named Erdrick returned peace from the hands of evil. The peace came in the form of the sacred Ball of light. The hero returned to the King with the Ball of Light and there were great festivals and celebrations. Eventually, Erdrick took his leave and was never seen again. Years passed and the people prospered, but one person was not happy with the way things were. He lived in the western mountain cave, far from Tantegel's walls. While exploring deep within the cave, he came across a sleeping dragon. Suddenly, the dragon awoke and the man was very frightened. As he closed his eyes to stop himself from seeing his demise, nothing happened. The man grew tired of waiting and threw a stick to distract it. To his surprise, the dragon picked it up in his mouth and brought it back to the man, like a dog. After that he discovered he could make the dragon do whatever he wanted. He then named himself the Dragonlord. Suddenly, a disaster occurred: Charlock Castle rose from its dirt grave, and everyone knew this was a bad omen. A few minutes later a swarm of monsters attacked Tantegel and the villages across Alefgard. Though they fought bravely, the years of peace had made the people weak. The Ball of Light and Lady Lora were stolen by the Dragonlord himself. After this terrible attack the people were terrified to walk outside again. Many men were killed traveling between places and people locked their doors at night. At night, they could hear the Slimes scratching and mumbling along the walls of Tantegel. The King fell into a deep depression over his kidnapped daughter, even though the legends told of a descendant of Erdrick coming to restore peace. The King believed it to be a myth until one day a scrawny-looking young man appeared at the King's feet and asked permission to retrieve the Ball of Light and Lady Lora. Since many other hapless warriors had volunteered and failed, the King had already given up hope. But he sees a light in this young man's eyes and knew he was the descendant of Erdrick. Giving him a few items and some gold, the King sends the warrior out. -characters Hero: A descendant of the legendary hero Erdrick. He arrives from an unknown location to help the land of Alefgard Erdrick: He rescued Alefgard years earlier. He has left a message for his descendant, in the cave which bears his name. (In the North American localization, he is known as Erdrick, with similar changes to locations and items: Erdrick's Cave, Erdrick's Sword, and so on.) Lorik: The King of Tantegel, and ruler of Alefgard. Lady Lora: Daughter of King Lorik. Imprisoned in the Swamps caves, south of Kol, by the servants of the Dragonlord. Dragonlord: The villain of the story, he has stolen the ball of light in order to lock Alefgard in perpetual darkness. -Screenshots -Features -World map view! -Faceset for the hero! -Music from others Dragon quest games and jrpg titles! -Graphics from other Dragon quest titles! -Original nes translation! -Status Completed. -Controls Z= Accept X= Cancel/open menu Shift (not allowed in world map)= run A (in world map)= world map view Q (in world map)= World music change W (in world map)= Bestiary -Credits -STORY BY: Enix -SCRIPTS:Nelderson, Ekras, Sojabird, Yanfly, Gexrox, Woratana, Fridgecrisis,StorymasterQ, Synthesize, Ty, Diedrupo, Night5h4d3.GEXROX, Vlue L. 3. NES A NeverEnding Story about games, that will always be remembered. Nintendo Entertaining System, also known as simply - NES was one of the consoles, that were a main part of my childhood. Many of us still love and even play games from that console. Each game released on that console was specializing in having its own unique and simple gameplay, that could entertain us for hours, days, moths or even years. That's where the 'graphics' were not the most important thing in games. Some games are memorable by soundtracks included in them or by their unique gameplay. ~The graphics are mentioned rarely. Sometimes the graphics were even ridiculous, but still the game could be loved. (Example: Trees in 'Contra' just right at the beginning of Stage 1, where our 'hero' is about the same size of the trees seen behind him - there were no hate comments like games could get these times) Sadly, we can't go back to the past and experience all of this again, but at least, we have the memories that are indescribable. What are your favorite games? What soundtracks do you liked most? What games were entertaining you for tons of hours?
  4. "Frozen Dream" is a simple NES-like 8-bit game. Your objective is to 'slide' to your destination point, while avoiding obstacles, collecting bonuses and defeating enemies at the end of the stages. The action takes place on a mountain during Winter Holidays. Generally, there's no story at the moment. It is a simple NES-like game. However, the story will be added in future. > It is a game made only in 5 days! (at the current version) > Unique gameplay (as for RPG Maker) > Game uses only custom scripts, 99.9% default-script FREE Besides 'Input System' and 'Text Cache', the game uses only custom scripts written by me, from the title screen - to credits. Crashes? Blame on me! ^^ > 100% My custom graphics - RTP / FREELY AVAILABLE RESOURCES FREE Everything looks silly? Blame on me! ^^ > 100% My custom Sound effects created just for this game Quickly made farts and crashes - enjoy! x3 > Semi-Random Stage Generator - stages are generated randomly, but there are some pre-made parts. An obstacle conveniently covering the whole path? You're unlucky Blame on me! ^^ > Custom very simple battle system These mechanics will blow your mind! jk > Simple and user friendly menus > Permanent upgrades - each try will be easier than the last one > Game in 'Kinda Advanced 8-bit Style' > Convenient Autosave - game automatically saves your progress each time you'll enter the map screen > Arrow Keys or WSAD - move / navigate through menus > Z or SPACE - accept / attack enemy > ESC - pause game > Each try will be easier than the previous one, so keep trying, upgrades are kept. > In battle, keep pressing both, 'Z' and 'SPACE'. It's easier and more effective. > The obstacles are semi-randomly generated- that means, that some items may be stuck in an obstacle. Also if you're really unlucky, you might get two logs near each other in very convenient positions, that may be impossible to dodge. However, I programmed some 'presets', so sometimes placement will be neat and recognizable. (I had no time for programming more, so I added randomness) RTP Requirement - No Filesize - 29,7 MB

    Some NES and SNES-style tracks

Hi guys, Here are a couple of small playlists I put together in December. I wanted to explore a variety of video game styles with a retro feel, but I only got six tracks together. Please let me know what you think, and what critiques you have of the pieces. Thanks! 8-bit adventure. Tracks in the style of a NES fantasy adventure. SYBERogue. Using the FZero soundfont, these had the cyberpunk aesthetic in mind.
