Itchio Page: https://vis-mage.itch.io/mana-star For the past several years, I've been working on an RPG project that's been heavily inspired by the Golden Sun series. It isn't a fan game, containing a completely new cast/world/assets/etc, but has been very mechanically inspired by the series. After years of work and planning, I’m excited to reveal my project, Mana Star! CREDITS:

~~~~~ DOWNLOAD ~~~~~ Download link and main website here: http://rpgmaker.net/games/5527/ ~~~~~ NEWS ~~~~~ Oct 1st, 2017: Version 2.0 is now available for download! Many improvements have been made and this will most likely be the final version I will ever release. Full details can be found on the newest blog entry here. ~~~~~ SUMMARY ~~~~~ Legends Of Illarion 2 is the long awaited prequel to the 2009 RM2K3 game Legends Of Illarion. The prequel takes place in ancient Illarion at the dawn of time, many centuries before the events of the first game. I consider it mostly to be an old school type of rpg reminiscent of FF6, Lufia 2, etc. You don't need to play LOI before playing LOI2. You can play either game before the other and there won't be too much spoilers involved. The first LOI contains a larger more diverse world with more interrelated story elements and characters, while LOI2 is a little easier, smaller, and more straight forward than the first game. ~~~~~ STORY ~~~~~ "We are but mortals who cannot fathom the true nature of the gods. Whether they are kind and benevolent, or vengeful and angry, I cannot say. The only thing that is certain, is that their power is real, and we must always be wary..." The world of Illarion is at its infancy, having been created by the gods for only mere centuries. An Entity appears, born from the evil growing in the very hearts of mortals, bringing destruction and chaos to the realms. The gods await worthy heroes to appear and defeat the Entity. However, as time passes by, none step forth to save Illarion. In desperation, one goddess intervenes in mortal affairs, using deception to cause a group of mortals to begin a journey to defeat the Entity. But do they truly fight to save Illarion, or do they fight to fulfill their own selfish motives? As they squabble amongst themselves and get ever closer to the promised end of their journey, the gods play their cruel hand and begin to reveal their true intentions... ~~~~~ FEATURES ~~~~~ slightly modified battle/menu systems based on 3rd party scripts (mostly Yanfly) touch encounter battle system voice clips for character skills skill points system and many custom battle skills characters with multiple skill sets depending on weapons equipped many interesting puzzles (all of which are skippable) simple gathering/crafting system (blacksmithing, potion making, etc) diverse environments inhabited by various races. using "emotes" to describe character actions approximately 15 hours of gameplay ~~~~~ VIDEO ~~~~~ Gameplay Footage:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7txyxkko8_g ~~~~~ SCREENSHOTS ~~~~~ ~~~~~ CHARACTERS ~~~~~ Legends Of Illarion 2 features an ensemble cast: http://rpgmaker.net/games/5527/characters1/ ~~~~~ CREDITS ~~~~~ Created by Dyluck Created using RPG Maker VX Ace by Enterbrain None of the graphical or audio resources used belong to the creator of this game unless otherwise specificed. TALES OF BOREDOM A lazy dude is trying to escape from his lazy habits of procrastinating and sleeping throughout the day. So one day, he will beat up random monsters residing in a cave to stay a little less sleepy and lazy. Along with some random people from his town. Characters: You play as Dude, the master of laziness. Two other random people are playable, also. Screenshots: DOWNLOAD HERE (completed game) Features: -No plot, no endings, no proper story, you just play as a random, lazy dude. -Explore a tiny area around you, interact with the objects and random things. -Randomized encounters so you can beat up as much monsters as you like. -Everything random! Also read the text file in the game's folder for more info. Notes: This game was created in approximately 3 days and was intended to be a private game I've made to pass my time when I'm feeling unmotivated, bored (it happens ALL the time though XD) because playing something that I made makes me a little happy - but later on, I've decided to share this publicly here just in case if someone would like to play it. Also, I'll make this clear - there is NO PROPER STRATEGY/BALANCE BETWEEN THINGS because I didn't wanted to spend too much time on balancing this little game, due to having a main project to work on. Also, expect a lot of typos and random stuff in this game - if you found a bug in this game, you can mention it~ And if you liked this tiny game - or hated it (I won't mind, it's very reasonable anyway) please let me know Other contact methods are included in the text file found in game's folder. Thanks <3 Credits:
I do remember well the first time I Heard the name Dragon quest. It was in a videogame magazine I saw in the street and, because when I was 9 I was a little Jrpgs fan, I asked my parents if they could buy it. They bought it at christmas and I must say that that decision was a great one, such great that, as you see, I still remember it. Now, at the age of 17, I've played almost every Dragon quest game to date (except XI), and one day I thought: "Why don't I remake the first Dragon quest game in rpgmaker?"; I began, with that simple premise, to embark myself on a journey of almost 2 years. Was it difficult? Sure it was, but the reward is great. By just having this little remake, I feel like I did a great tribute to the origin of one of my favorites franchises, Dragon quest. This is just an ode to the beginning of everything, to the beginning of Dragon quest. -Story Long before the game begins, a man named Erdrick returned peace from the hands of evil. The peace came in the form of the sacred Ball of light. The hero returned to the King with the Ball of Light and there were great festivals and celebrations. Eventually, Erdrick took his leave and was never seen again. Years passed and the people prospered, but one person was not happy with the way things were. He lived in the western mountain cave, far from Tantegel's walls. While exploring deep within the cave, he came across a sleeping dragon. Suddenly, the dragon awoke and the man was very frightened. As he closed his eyes to stop himself from seeing his demise, nothing happened. The man grew tired of waiting and threw a stick to distract it. To his surprise, the dragon picked it up in his mouth and brought it back to the man, like a dog. After that he discovered he could make the dragon do whatever he wanted. He then named himself the Dragonlord. Suddenly, a disaster occurred: Charlock Castle rose from its dirt grave, and everyone knew this was a bad omen. A few minutes later a swarm of monsters attacked Tantegel and the villages across Alefgard. Though they fought bravely, the years of peace had made the people weak. The Ball of Light and Lady Lora were stolen by the Dragonlord himself. After this terrible attack the people were terrified to walk outside again. Many men were killed traveling between places and people locked their doors at night. At night, they could hear the Slimes scratching and mumbling along the walls of Tantegel. The King fell into a deep depression over his kidnapped daughter, even though the legends told of a descendant of Erdrick coming to restore peace. The King believed it to be a myth until one day a scrawny-looking young man appeared at the King's feet and asked permission to retrieve the Ball of Light and Lady Lora. Since many other hapless warriors had volunteered and failed, the King had already given up hope. But he sees a light in this young man's eyes and knew he was the descendant of Erdrick. Giving him a few items and some gold, the King sends the warrior out. -characters Hero: A descendant of the legendary hero Erdrick. He arrives from an unknown location to help the land of Alefgard Erdrick: He rescued Alefgard years earlier. He has left a message for his descendant, in the cave which bears his name. (In the North American localization, he is known as Erdrick, with similar changes to locations and items: Erdrick's Cave, Erdrick's Sword, and so on.) Lorik: The King of Tantegel, and ruler of Alefgard. Lady Lora: Daughter of King Lorik. Imprisoned in the Swamps caves, south of Kol, by the servants of the Dragonlord. Dragonlord: The villain of the story, he has stolen the ball of light in order to lock Alefgard in perpetual darkness. -Screenshots -Features -World map view! -Faceset for the hero! -Music from others Dragon quest games and jrpg titles! -Graphics from other Dragon quest titles! -Original nes translation! -Status Completed. -Controls Z= Accept X= Cancel/open menu Shift (not allowed in world map)= run A (in world map)= world map view Q (in world map)= World music change W (in world map)= Bestiary -Credits -STORY BY: Enix -SCRIPTS:Nelderson, Ekras, Sojabird, Yanfly, Gexrox, Woratana, Fridgecrisis,StorymasterQ, Synthesize, Ty, Diedrupo, Night5h4d3.GEXROX, Vlue L. Game Overview Legionwood is a console style RPG made using RPG Maker VX. Legionwood is my attempt at creating a nostalgic and familiar RPG experience reminiscent of the classics of the early 90's such as Breath Of Fire and Chrono Trigger. Legionwood features a massive world filled with adventures and side quests, and is expected to contain over 20 hours of gameplay and four huge story driven chapters. While it isn't revolutionary and contains gameplay that is for the most part bog standard RPG fare, Legionwood is designed to be that way; familiar and fun for RPG fans looking for a casual game to play. Storyline The world of Legionwood. Once upon a time, it was prosperous and full of technological wonders. About three thousand years ago, a mysterious phenomena demolished most of mankind's cities, and as a species, they had to start again. This much, archaeologists and scholars know from the ancient ruins of technological cities and fortresses dotted throughout the most barren parts of Legionwood's surface. After at least two millennia had passed, mankind had begun to re-establish itself as the planet's dominant species. Major inventions were being rediscovered, and technological development had finally reached a medieval period. It was at this time when everything began to go wrong. Legionwood has always had war, but suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere began a furious and unpredictable world war that raged for years and devastated cities and nations worldwide. This terrible conflict, known as the Great War, ended as suddenly as it began, with no mention of its cause or conclusion to the public, and mankind began to pick up the pieces. Now, one thousand years have passed since the Great War came to an end. Since that terrible time, makeshift peace treaties have ensured there have been only minor conflicts over the last centuries, but once again technology is on the rise, and half truths and legends about the Great War and its origins are prevalent in popular culture. Each country, empire and kingdom fears its neighbours, and only reluctantly are peace ties held in place. In a last ditched effort to try and maintain some sort of peace between the rival kingdoms of Charn and Trevelle, the king of Charn has decided to hold a celebration and festival to honor his new daughter's birth. Everybody in attendance is expecting a good time, but a key figure linked to Legionwood's dark past of conflict and death has been biding his time, and has decided that now is the perfect time to stage a new Great War and political upheaval. Simply looking for a way to wind down after months of hard work, Lann and his sister Liara come to enjoy the festivities, but soon they will both be pulled unexpectedly into an epic saga which may just have a battle to decide the world's fate waiting in its wings. Game Features - A character driven story full of twists, turns and red herrings, and an intended gameplay time of around 20 hours. - 6 playable characters, each one with a distinct personality, which you can mold into your own custom character classes to suit your combat style. - Turn based combat with an emphasis on tough opponents and using skills, rather than mashing "attack" over and over. Think, don't button mash! - A custom soundtrack, composed entirely of non comercial game music, some exclusive to Legionwood. - Collect, raise and summon 5 elemental spirits to aid you in battle! Summon level up, learn skills and fight just like your party members! - Innovative Ability Point system by KGC allows you to choose which bonuses you gain in level ups, so you're free to decide which role your characters fill in your battle plan. Screenshots Download You can download this game from the page here: http://rpgmaker.net/games/792/ The expansion pack, Mysteries of Dynastland, is available here: http://http://rpgmaker.net/games/792/downloads/5066/
rmvx-ace Super Rope War
user975483 posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
DOWNLOAD HERE! DISCLAIMER! This game was created for the 2013 Cleveland Summer Game Jam in less than 48 hours. It's pretty (slightly intentionally, though) unbalanced, very short, and not very pretty in some aspects. However, unless there's a game breaking bug, I won't be working on this again unless I truly feel like it. I'd like to get back to work on my main project. Without further ado... Average Game Time: 5-15 minutes Story: What if there was a world where all battles in a war where fought out via violent tug of war matches? Well, this game (kind of) answers that question. A squad of three knights must suit up to fight for the Right Kingdom, and finish the fight once and for all... Gameplay: Fight in turn-based RPG battles and abuse enemy weaknesses and resistances! Use the rope to your advantage! The higher your rope number, the better the bonuses. Be careful, enemies can these bonuses as well... Buy items, weapons, and rings from Donny the Salesman to up your strategy! You can change equips in the middle of battle! Five battles in different biomes - each biome has a different effect you must overcome! Characters: Sasha - The strongest physically. Specializes in debuffing enemies. Dylan - The main healer of the group. Specializes in buffing the party. Trixie - The mage of the group. Specializes in dealing out magic damage to enemies. Working on this project for the last 6 months on and off (as time allows), I feel it is to the point where I can confidently announce it (without it being looked at as vaporware). Yes, this is my first project and even though I have dabbled in RPG Maker over the years (dating back to 95), I have never actually dedicated the amount of time to one as I have this one. Maybe it's because of what VX Ace offers, or maybe its because I've learned how to plan out a project so I actually finish it. Either way, I pride myself on perfectionism and attention to detail, so I more than welcome constructive criticism, suggestions, and compliments. I hope to have a playable demo available in the next month or so as I wrap up the balance, database, and enemy encounters. You can follow my progress more intimately, see how the game has changed since the beginning, and even watch a couple (bland) YouTube videos I have posted for it on my blog at: BesusProductions.com Anyhow, without further adieu... Just over a thousand years ago, humans were seen as the superior species on the planet, however their physical limitations held them back. Because of this, Idol’s (the guardians of the planet Vole) helped to aid their physical shortcomings by granting them Enchantment. Using Enchantment, humans were able to accomplish tasks that were either too difficult, or downright impossible to accomplish physically. For decades, humans thrived from these powers. However after a rebel group began to abuse these powers, the Idols thought it would be best to take it away from everyone before more began to abuse them. Now, two-thousand years after Enchantment was taken away, humans go about their lives as normal; often yearning for the days they had those powers. Shortly after these abilities were taken away, the Idol island of Graven fell from the sky. Little is known regarding why, but when the island fell, it took all traces of Enchantment with it. Lately rumors have begun circulating that Enchantment may still be present on the planet. This has caused some excitement throughout the world and caught the attention of Armor. Because of this, Armor’s entire focus has gone toward re-discovering this lost power, changing the once-respected organization in to a common enemy of the people they once protected. Armor’s obsession will soon lead them to find out just how powerful Enchantment is; and what repercussions pursuing that power will have on them and the planet of Vole. Sideview, ATB-based combat system. Ability to chain skills together for one long combination of attacks. No random encounters! Enemies chase or flee from you based on your level. No "walls of text" throwing countless story elements at you. Everything is shown through cutscenes. Still fine-tuning gameplay aspects, so other features may find their way in to the game. Updated 5/28/2013 The Ethereal Plains Demo (Version 1.03) Or if you want it with the RTP included: The Ethereal Plains Demo with RTP (Version 1.03) You can also find the official blog post about it here: http://www.besusproductions.com/?p=524 Finally, please report any bugs you encounter, or provide constructive feedback!
