This is Yär Kalden Nihyla - Eksoduz, a little spaceship-economy simulation with turn-based ship battles & pseudo-CGA graphics. I crafted almost anything in the game by myself, including graphics & music. I was inspired by Organ Trail, Faster Than Light, Dune, StrarCraft & Dark Souls. The world is based on a Sci-Fi novel by me. The music is a mixture of Minimal House, Black Metal & Breakbeat. Link for the OST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sggHWgYqFGA [: Story: It is the year 4000, Emperor Edzel II. tells you that the Mondra are about to invade & devour the Kouray-system. You are the captain of a space-ship & must reach a worm hole at the other side of the solar system to embark for a better world without the Mondra scourge. What plans does the Emperor scheme? Is it a religious mission? Or something political or personal? Either way, you don't want to disappoint Edzel II.. Races: You can play as three races. The Sechtim/ Humans: Humans are an evil, aggressive race that only lives to gain profit & they don't know higher virtues than exploiting ressources. As legend has it Humans descent from a remote industrial world called "Earth". They arrived in the Kouray system 200 years ago. The Human society is a complex caste system of genetically modified subraces like the mining class Polugon, or their deadly Tenpoulon knights. To compensate their inferiority in population & labor power, they created the psychic android slaves called Hukkyko. The Sechtim Empire, the federation of mankind, has come to conquer the Kouray system & gain power over the other highly developed races. The new homeworld of mankind & the Sechtim Empire is the dismal mining colony Edemya. The Parjaaki: Parjaaki are close to nature living cyclops, who value honor & bravery the most. Their homeplanet Tsudemii is a cold desert of ice but a profitable source of Sularmyt ore. Because of the imperialist nature of both Humans & Ifevla the once antagonized Parjaaki clans have put their arguments aside to form a mighty Union against the other races in the system. The Ifevla: Ifevla are proud mercenary giants, who are highly psychic & excellent merchants. Their capital planet is Taurunukkaha, a water world with almost no valuable ressources. The lack of natural goods in their home world forced them to develop extrasensory manipulative skills. Mind tricks they use to exploit trading partners & to enslave other races like the Naydosu. They worship a mysterious, arcane religion, nobody who isn't an Ifevla is able to understand. The Ifevla are all citizens of a covenant, a loose (almost failed) federal state, but tend to pledge more loyalty to their numerous guilds. And there are various other races you come across your journey. The Hukkyko androids, the Imgopi & the Naydosu. Features: *non-linear *turn-based battle *RPG-elements *Action-elements *prices of goods vary depending on the space-station *do you have enough food or fuel aboard *3 playable races *rest in space-stations *find treasures, loot! *various mini-games & encounter *only save in space-stations *just one healing item at a time *various items, equipment, goods, upgrades, maneuvers & slaves *difficult enemy encounters *beat the highscore! *VHS-retro-style Screens: (the arrow in the screens is a dummy.) Navigate through a VAST solar system. small enemy encounters AND BIG ONES!! Break out of jail! Even the smartest crew screws up sometimes... Investigate ancient temples & loot the treasures. Lost Creation
Heartfeltcurse posted a topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
If you do not like ecchi, erotica (not that this game has reached the level of erotica yet, but it might one day. not entirely sure on that), harems, perverts, profanity, or homosexuality (specifically Yuri/lesbians), I would suggest going and playing a different game. Abstract: This is the game I’ve been working on for the past few months. I got about 1 and a half hours of playtime done in the first week of production, and then progress slowed horribly about the same time I joined this forum… hmmm, I wonder if that’s just coincidence…. anyways, this is a rather light-hearted game, with randomly occurring moments of darkness, such as the mass murder of an enti…. I’m shutting up before I spoil something. This game is mature, to the point of being ALMOST pornographic, ALMOST being the operative word here. At worst, it gets to be implied erotica, so, for example, you'll see the before, you'll see the after, you'll see (Read) some foreplay, but you won't see the actual event. I'm also not using any pornographic images so, yea, this is not a adult rated game. Moving on, here’s some in depth info about my game. Game Title: Lost Creation Genre: fantasy RPG Average Demo Time: ~3 hours, give or take Game Progression: ………… I have no idea when I’ll be done with this game. I have no idea how many characters I’ll have, nor do I have any idea how far along with the story I am. Recruitment: I’m not looking for any recruits to help me as of now. Story / Setting / Purpose: The player plays as Kara Heartfelt, the Newly-made Pirate Lord. Well, what is the first-ever female pirate lord doing? The answer would be looking for a reason to exist. I mean, come on, she’s the Pirate Lord for crying out loud, the single most feared and powerful person alive, you think towns and cities are going to try to fight back against such a fearsome and legendary opponent when said opponent comes to raid and steal from them? No, they’re going to give this opponent whatever they want, for fear of instant annihilation. This situation forces Kara into an existential crisis. If no one fights back against her, then there’s no challenge, no fun, in going to go raid people. There’s no point in doing so. So one day, she finds a girl lying on the beach. And so, with this girl, Kara sets out into the world once more, seeking meaning in her life beyond just spending time with her crew and taking whatever she wants form whoever she wants. Character Bios: Sorry for lack of pics, I have yet to get myself a photobucket account, or anything similar, so, you can just use your imagination for now as to what the characters look like... or you can play game Main characters - forced. Forced as in, you will, no matter what, have these characters in your party at some point. Kara Heartfelt: This is the main character, the new Pirate Lord, and the first female Pirate Lord. (I’m aware that pirates have been getting a lot of attention lately (See: One Piece and Pirates of the Caribbean) but please bear with me on this). She is very quick-witted and extremely smart and skilled in the ways of stealth and assassination. Her short temper and perversion (she at times shows herself to be Hyodou Issei-level perverted, but generally has more control then him) often make others view her as a spoiled brat, leading them to underestimate her capabilities. She is also rather popular with the ladies (if you’re homophobic, this isn’t the game for you). Word for the wise: She loves her crew, mess with them at your own risk. Ester (lacks a last name due to memory loss, currently using the last name “Heartfelt†as an alias, and no, the acquisition of this last name is not something you’ll see quite yet. I have her acquisition of this last name evented, but in one of the areas that the player can’t get to yet, see the “Known Issues†segment for more information on those areas ): Ester is a girl found by Kara in the beginning of the game. She was lying on a beach, totally lacking any and all memories excluding her own name. Kara initially judges her as a cute innocent big-breasted klutz, and so challenges Ester to a battle, the terms being safe passage to the nearest town, and some gold if Ester wins, and being forced to join Kara’s crew (the Pirate lord simply must have a crew am I right?) if Ester loses. While initially wanted simply for her looks and apparent innocence, Ester proves to be a capable fighter, which only raises her ranking in Kara’s eyes. Ester’s ignorance about the world and her innocent aura drive the crew to be infatuated with her almost immediately, with most pledging to protect her from the resident perverts ( See: Kara and Shinichi). Terence Noranderfell: Terence is Kara’s first mate and loyal to his captain to a fault. Terence is initially described by Kara as the “Strong Silent Typeâ€, though often speaks a bit too much to be considered as such, so just imagine him as speaking quietly, without much emotion, if any at all. He gives off the aura of an honorable knight, which may lead some to wonder how he got to be first mate of the Pirate Lord. Well, I actually haven’t figured this part out yet I’m not saying here, too big of a spoiler, though, some allusions to a dark past are made. Isabelle Mornlost: There isn’t much I can say here about Isabelle without spoiling part of the storyline. Isabelle was a normal girl living in the town of Devonsville, until something really bad happened to the town. That’s about all I can say as far as history goes without spoiling to badly. She at first seems a little down and dejected, but quickly adopts a bright and bubbly personality. Soran Seiver: Soran is a mining captain working in Galrie Mines, which recently had a cave in. He is shown to have a past connection with Kara but they don’t go into detail about it. Personality-wise, he is meticulous about his mines, and loves rare ores and minerals. He also cares about the well-being of his crew, to the point of going into the mine after the cave in to try and rescue some that had not made it out, going in before the miner that had made it out had much of a chance to get in there. Also a Masochist. More to be added later Main characters - optional. Optional as in, you are not guaranteed to get these characters into your party, you actually have to work for them. so ha. (no optional characters can be obtained as of yet) Lucy Woren (not yet actually introduced due to me still working out the mechanics of the ADV. Guild, and thus having closed off that area for the time being): Lucy is a maid/attendant/clerk/barkeep/whatever else needs to be done in the Adventurer’s guild in Rinnesport. Despite not initially recognizing Kara, she quickly realizes who it is she’s talking to, (Kara is a gold ranked member of the ADV.Guild) and turns out to be a diehard fangirl, thinking nothing of not only ignoring Ester’s lack of proper identification papers when Kara takes Ester to sign up to join the ADV.Guild as a side job to her current position as a member of Kara’s Crew, but also returns to Kara the money offered as a bribe to ignore said lack of papers without a moment’s hesitation, doing it simply because it was Kara who asked her to, albeit indirectly. She does not initially join Kara’s crew (though obviously would without hesitation is asked) but instead joins later at a point not currently determined. More to be added later Side characters-Crew Simon: Simon is a bright and cheerful young lad, and the crew’s resident mage. He is also the newest member of the crew until Ester comes along. He is often shown to have a little less common sense then some of the other crew members. Also, Kara likes to abuse his magic for small, silly things, like making sure she can maintain a spa in the captain’s quarters without having to worry about the water splashing out, even in a heated sea battle between several fleets. Lance: The crew’s resident dog very helpful person that helps with everything that needs being done. He is very light hearted, like most of the crew, and is hinted to be an extreme a slight Masochist. Shadow: Someone much more deserving of the designation “Strong Silent Type†then Terence ever was. Shadow rarely speaks more than two or three words at a time. He is about as light-hearted as the rest of the crew, but is horrible in the practice of the forbidden art of “socializing†so his light-heartedness almost never shows. He’s better with a dagger then even Kara John: The oldest member of the crew, he plays the part of the crew’s “wise elderâ€. He’s also in charge of piloting the ship (at the current point in the game’s progression, the player does not actively pilot the ship, so this is a non-issue) Dan: Dan is one of the four sole possessors (alongside John, Shadow and Terence) of the mysterious power known as “Common Sense†among our jolly crew. Dan often mediates arguments between crew members, and has a very high tolerance to alcohol. He’s good in a fight, possessing great strength, and is able to one-hit K.O just about anything with a single punch. For some reason, he has zero defensive power, and is normally out cold himself after 2 or 3 hits, so he often helps the crew by doing tasks such as heavy lifting... or brick wall breaking.... whichever one the situation calls for. Shinichi: Shinichi is a heavily armored Pervert. A male Kara if you will, only without the authority, respect, popularity, and skill with a dagger. He is often used as the butt of jokes made by the crew… though sadly, these jokes are heavily steeped in fact, such as when they’re discussing him stealing Kara’s underwear. As far as Alcohol resistance goes… think of him as being the converse of Dan. Screenshots: Enter Ester Bats on a Beach? What was I thinking? Meet the Crew… or well, most of it. Terence isn’t in this picture, and since this was taken, I’ve changed the sprites for Dan and John as well so... Beautiful scenery, grass, trees, a graveyard, just wonderful Features: Yanfly's battle system with the ATB Add-on. The usefulness of a high agility just skyrocketed. Ship v. Ship Battles (not yet implemented, still not sure how I plan to do this) A summon system unlike most other summon systems. Instead of summoning some giant creature to lay waste to your foes, you instead summon spirits, and use their power, giving you temporary stat increases and additional skills. At this point in time, only Kara can summon, this may or may not be changed later. hidden bosses ( so far, only one that is pretty much invincible at this stage of the game, but there will be others) Spontaneous breaking of the 4th wall Download: Without RTP https://www.dropbox.com/s/84vt4c7u8tdexjb/Lost%20Creation.exe I'm sick of the time it takes to compress the RTP, so if you don't have it, you're SOL as far as my game is concerned, unless of course I reallly, really like you. but for everyone else, good day to you sir. Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=232515948&searchtext= Credits: Credit to Enterbrain for the program and RTP stuff Kara’s basic sprites and facesets were done by yours truly using Ace’s Generator. Kara’s downed sprites were done originally by Nee Millon, and then edited slightly by myself and The Second into their finished forms. Credit to Tsukihime’s scripts Grandma Deb on rpgmakervx.net for some bloody horror tiles I used Credit to SilentBackstabber on rpgmakervx.net for the black cannons, which he edited from XP’s RTP, then then slightly edited again by myself into the finished forms Credit to Neon Black's script Credit to Yanfly for his scripts (namely the battle system with the ATB addon) Issues: no known issues Additional notes: I have used events to block off areas not yet completed (such as, for instance, the Adventurer’s guild) as going into these areas in their current shoddy state could result in massive confusion and possibly game-breaking, which I would like to avoid. So… yea Also, keep in mind my mapping some areas (such as certain, pretty obvious, and pretty hideous parts of the ship’s deck that you’ll recognize right away) are really just placeholders. I have also used sample maps here and there, and again, their just place holders, well, mostly. There’s a couple that I had, and then edited a bit, so those are permanent, but most of them are place holders till I actually come up with original mapping for those areas.
