  1. Hey! In my project, I have a character that is a blue mage (A character than can learn enemy skills be being hit by them.) The issue I'm running into is that they won't be able to learn any healing/support moves, since the enemy won't target him with them. What I'm hoping to accomplish is a script that checks if the user of certain skills (probably note-taged) has a certain state. If they do, then change the scope of those note-taged skills into "One enemy" (if originally one ally), or "All Enemies" (if originally all allies). Likewise, if determining with of those two scopes to change it to is too tricky, perhaps there could be a second note-tag that determines what the scope should change into. Something along the lines of <SChange 12 "One Enemy"> (SChange being scope change, 12 being the state, "One Enemy" being the new scope of the skill.) I hope these all makes some sense. By all means, let me know if you'd like me to try and explain it better. Thank you!

    Thorn Skills for RPGMV

    I'm looking for a way to imitate the effect similar to Szyu's ThornSkills for RPGVXA It's an effect where you can place a state on an ally, and whenever they are attacked by the enemy, they retaliate by casting a specific skill and removing the state. Ex. A [Flame Trap] skill that applies [Flame Trap] to an ally, and when they are attacked, that ally retaliates with a different skill, such as [Flameblast] and the trap state disappears. Is there any way to imitate that using either Yanfly Plugins (like Lunatic Code stuff) or other plugins? (I was planning to make a class that specialises on "Trap Skills" but after I moved it all to MV, I couldn't find a "ThornSkills" script for it >.< Help!)

I am hoping to recruit a pixel artist or two to help me bring Pokemon RMN, a community-based Pokemon fan project in which I recently became the only active developer for, to life. We already have a demo released, that plays up to the third gym! https://rpgmaker.net/games/6734/ Engine: RPG Maker XP Synopsis: Far away from familiar lands in the Pokémon world, lying South of the Inday Region and West of the Moddin Region, there exists the isolated island of Ahremin. The Ahremin region is known for it's rich history, including tales of a monstrous beast who once threatened to devour the world; it contains bizarre landscapes, including the mysterious ruins of a lost civilization and the outright befuddling Ultimate Warp Zone. The most fascinating aspect of Ahremin, however, is its Pokémon species, all of which are found nowhere else in the world. After recently moving into the region, a curious, ambitious teenager wishes to explore Ahremin to its fullest; discovering, befriending, and training its Pokémon with the hopes of becoming champion of the Ahremin Pokémon League. This teen is the child of the world-famous Pokemon Trainer Andreas, who runs the gym at Misao City. With a reputation to keep up with and a dream to fulfill, the teen accepts the Trainer's License and embarks on a journey that will test his/her endurance. Will he/she make a mark on this strange new world? Does he/she have what it takes to become the Ahremin region’s champion? This teen is you, in case you haven't figured that out, so what will you decide? Positions/Roles Needed: As of the moment, I'm mainly in need of pixel artists. In particular, I'm hoping that you'll be willing to help out with creating overworld sprites for the Pokemon (for those familiar with Pokemon, imagine the fallowing Pokemon feature from Heart Gold and Soul Silver). My hope is to be able to create a lively world for the player to explore throughout their journey, and I feel that actually having Pokemon seen not only in battle, but all throughout the world would go a long way in making the world feel alive. The sprites would be the standard for the engine, being 32x32 sprites, with 4 directional walking. XP has 4 frames per direction, but I'd be perfectly fine with 3, as I could finish formatting them on my own. As of the moment, every Pokemon has at least a front in-battle sprite (with over half also having a back sprite) in which you can base its overworld sprite on. Of course, you could also ask for any additional information that you may find useful. I understand that this would be a large task to ask of you. The project is certainly something that'll take a fair bit of time to complete, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it in the end to deliver the best project that we can to the community that made it possible in the first place. Pokemon RMN is a passion project crafted by the combined effort of the RMN community. It has technically been in the work since 2013, however, the original developer had to abandon the project due to personal reasons about a year ago. Earlier this year, I adopted the project as my own, determined to see the project through it's completion. My Role(s)/Position(s): As far as my own personal roles, I take care of pretty much everything else as of the moment. Mapping, evening, collecting music, setting up stats and scripts, the whole nine yards. Art, however, isn't really my strong suit.   9. Hello everyone! It`s been a while since I asked for public help but I am in need of a little assistance. If you can help me, that would be very appreciated :3 So here is my request: "A Rock Paper Scissor Battle System" How it works: It changes the default battle system into a rock paper scissor battle system where in both enemy (it`s always a one vs one) and the player acts at the same time, each action (Attack, Skill, Item, Guard) is classified either as a rock action, paper action, or scissor action. If the enemy used a paper action and you use a scissor action, your action gets used and the enemy will not be able to use his action. Next turn, the enemy used a rock action and you use a scissor action, the enemy then gets his action done (like attacking or using a skill) then the player will not be able to use his action. The battle keeps doing the same cycle (draws will make bot sides do nothing, then skips to next turn) until one side falls. Preferred Features: Note tagging system where you can put "Scissor" , "Paper" , "Rock" on items, skills, and weapons. Customizable plugin parameters like setting Attack, Guard to either a Rock, paper, or Scissor default A little scenario as an example: Neko and Cat are fighting!!     Hello! I was hoping someone could help me out with making a path/ground tile. Essentially, I'm looking for a deep aqua stained cobblestone tile. I'm hoping to base it off of Prismarine. Here's an image of what prismarine looks like in Minecraft, which is pretty much spot-on to what I'm looking for: I'm guessing that it could be a re-color of an existing cobblestone tile, with a few tweaks.   14. Hello all, Long, story short, I need some help resizing my sprites for VX ACe I've decided to take my own shot a creating my own graphics. I've made a template for my sprites so it will be easier (the top left character). I decided to test the animation of the character in the game using the Old School Modern DLC pack. However, what I noticed is that the character is a little too small for the resource in that pack. (Doors and items are little to large.) Not going to post screens of that because its DLC, but if you PM me we can work something out I've tried to resize the character so that it fits more with those tiles, but it just became blurry and not appeasing. I'm asking if anyone can help me resize this template to it would better fit with VX Ace tiles? While, not making the sprite blurry? Thanks!

  19. Hey guys, I'm back again! So sorry.... In one of my main games Tales of Eadris I had a monetary system set up similar to Skyrims Gold, Silver, Copper. In game, you can't get money from random battles, but instead have to craft, loot and do bounties to get money. This makes money and values small. I wish to use the Gold, Silver, Copper money system because I feel it really get's that feeling across to the player. If you get a gold coin, then you know you worked hard and saved for it! When this project was on ACE, I was using Spike's Monetary System and it works perfectly. The script never changed anything except how the money was displayed. That's all I need really, a graphical tweak is exactly all I need~ Possible Example on how to handle this in plugin manager; Maybe; Icon Gold: 100 Icon Silver: 101 Icon Copper: 102 ____________________ Gold Value: 10,000 Silver value: 1,000 Copper: 1 _________________ The icons are essentially the graphical coin to show up indicating what coin(s) you have. The value would indicate what it would indicate. So if I have 999 coins, it'll be 999 copper. If I get 1,000 coins, this hanges to a silver coin with 0 copper. But if I spend 10 coins, it jumps back to have 990 copper and 0 silver. Does that make sense? I really prefer money handling in this manner in general, so I may actually also use this in pretty much every other game I ever make, so I would appreciate any help, thank you~ I know there are a few currency plugins out there, but they don't handle the money the way I want it to. I want the money to be handled on the main menu and shops like normal currency is, and not have it in a separate window. Spike's plugin was exactly what I needed, but of course, I couldn't find an MV version, so here I am. Thank you for reading this ^^ ~Takeo
  20. Hey there~ I've been deciding on how a few aspects of my game should look, and I've decided that I really don't like the default choice menu for my main game. My characters can save at inns, give different dialogue choices and a few other things that just look ugly when I use the standard default choice menu. So I need help from a scripter please~ The basis I want is simply the choice dialogue to appear in the dialogue box instead. An example from google images: Please note I need a plugin for MV, not a script for ACE (I only state this due to the screenshot maybe being a little confusing to quick viewers.)     It's been a while since I used the RPG Maker. School, work, etc. kept me busy but now that I am back with a new idea for a game, I am trying to find the right kind of tile sets for my idea. I have been able to find packs on other areas of the forums but they were all locked so it was impossible to ask how to download/implement them. I'd appreciate it if someone could link me some good sets and tell me how to put them into the game. Of course, I absolutely will not take credit for tile sets, charge money for the game while other people's sets are in use, etc. All rights go to their respective owners. Thank you.

Hey~ I'm unsure if this would be a plugin or an evented problem, but I assumed plugin since eventing would be more confusing to me >.<; I'm the problem is fixed by eventing (not an overly complicated one though) then this can be moved Anyway, I want a situation in my game where so far through the game, the character is stripped of all their items and equipment, but later they will get their items back. My problem is replicating the exact amount of items/quantity they originally had. I could try predict this but since there will be battles and optional items, I can't really predict how many items are used/found. Is their a possible plugin that can save these details and then be called on when they are given back? I was considering using Hime's Actor Inventories plugin, but I'm not sure if that would work correctly for this situation. I can't access my game for the next few days so I also couldn't test that plugin to do that anyway. Any feedback/help on this could help~ Thankies~ -Takeo

    Simple Menu Layout Request

    Hey I was wondering if I could possibly request this type of menu layout by someone who understands Javascripting. I want the overall HUD to look similar to this; The game I'm making isn't combat heavy, so I only need a simple menu HUD~ I hope this isn't to complicated to make :< EDIT Oh yea, the menu isn't massive or anything. Just a box/hud in one of the corners (maybe top left/bottom left) and the item menu shouldn't be massive either, just maybe a quarter of the screen? I also would like the sub menues too look like this roughly; Just a simple box stating all the items list, equipment, ect. I want everything to be one menu (gonna use Glasses' "No item categories" for that) Umm, I didn't create an equipment menu layout, but essentially, I just need a box stating the weapons/armours and the character will only be able to equip one weapon and one armour/accessory. My game is mostly a explore/puzzle/mild combat type of game, so I don't need alot of crazy stat stuff or such, just simple menus.   24. Howdy! So, a lot of game out there tend to have some sort of (usually adorable) monster or creature that is basically an icon of the game. Some examples could be Pikachu from Pokemon, or Slime from Dragon Quest. Being an absolute pushover for all things cute, I'd really love to add an adorable little friend into my game as well. Something cute and fluffy. I'm hoping to draw inspiration from League of Legend's friendly neighborhood puffball, Poro. Stout, fluffy and walks on all fours, but I'm not necessarily looking to outright copy it either. I'm really open to suggestions on appearence, as I'm not quite sure what all would transfer well into an Ace size sprite. As for the sprite specifics, I'm looking for a character sprite, not an enemy sprite. VxAce is the preferred sprite size. Thank you for taking the time to read over my request!
  25. I wished to recolour the eyes on these emotion facesets of an RTP actor from green to brown. I've tried to do it on MS Paint and Pixlr and it looked fairly awful. I downloaded GIMP and struggle to navigate it. I'd appreciate if anyone has done this already to share their work T'would be greatly appreciated! Currently I have given up and am rocking the green. I'm making a game for my irl partner to play through, but I lack the artistic prowess to make us myself, so I'm forced to convert RTP sprites and whatnot Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated.
