    Eva Reynes: Volume I

She was one of the best in her line of work. She had it all - the money, the fame, the respect of her peers and the fear in the eyes of her enemies. But sometimes all it takes is one hit from the bitch called life to knock you off your feet. Following the tragedy of the RM-8 incident, Eva Reynes finds herself in a life drenched with alcohol and music, with no care in the world for her job and her responsibilities. Evenings once spent chasing criminals were now spent chasing bottles of whisky. On one such evening, she got a call from her apprentice and friend, Damien Wills. He had been framed for murder. "Just this time" were her words when she put on her overcoat and headed for the scene of the crime. But when she finds out that this case somehow connects to the one case which ruined her life, how will she react? Are there answers at the end of the road, or will she end up chasing shadows leading nowhere? How will the years of drinking and reclusion take a toll on her when it matters the most? Walk in the footsteps of the legendary Eva Reynes and unveil the truth. Warning: Eva Reynes: Volume One is a dark, sadistic mystery game which gets increasingly difficult, and there will be no hand-holding after the tutorial. After the first episode, you will be on your own to make deductions and find clues. The game will NOT warn you if you go on the wrong path, miss clues, or make wrong deductions, which may eventually put you on a one way street to a bad ending. At times you won't even know where you made the mistake. - Unique personalities, complex and unpredictable plots, and a captivating story. - Investigate crime scenes, search for clues, make deductions and find out the truth. - Engage in timed discourse battles; point out contradictions using the evidence you've found. - Manage and develop skills/traits like Personality, Perception, Discourse, etc. - At times you'll have to choose between being a good person or a good investigator. - Original content and artwork. - Several bad endings, one normal ending and one true ending. Once Upon the Woods

Hi guys! Once Upon the Woods is my entry submission for the One Map Challenge event being held at Rpgmaker.web. It is a very short and simple RPG that features the story of Hansel and Gretel, an old fairy-tale that we have all heard. This game is sort of like my high-fantasy take on the story. I hope that you enjoy! Features: - Very short and sweet - Challenging, strategic and engaging battles - Beautiful fairy-tale-esque artworks - Beautiful Celtic music Credits: Plugins: Moghunter Yanfly SumRndmDde Tsukimi DEGICA Co., LTD Enterbrain Music: Bitter Sweet Entertainment, Inc. 4. Hello there, here's something different from a classic RPG, a point-and-click, like Riven or Myst. This project is very particular, because it is set in a real city, with real people, citizens, who interpret themselves in a dystopian version of our town Carrara, (Tuscany | Italy). Carrara is the capital of marble, it's a city famous all over the world because of the quality of the most famous stone with which they built the greatest works of humanity, from Roman times to the Renaissance. In this story, the city has been hit by an apocalypse. The narrative is actually rendered in a horror fashion for mere provocation, as a consequence of the decline experienced over the years by many Italian towns, which were previously famous and full of tourists and nowadays languish in desolation. We have translated the game in English just to show the structural wonders of our city, even if in a dystopian and horror fashion, just to create a contrast between fiction and reality... The game is based on real photographs of the town, which has been mapped in Google Map style, at night or at dawn when nobody was around. Then, each scenario has been transformed in a dystopian style. This game has episodes, think of a TV series, this is the first episode! PS: Suggestion... save your progress frequently, and don't make noise... Follow us on Facebook for updates! Or website! Game Trailer
  5. Straight to the point. In the VX Ace version of this, there was a default AP gain which was based upon Total EXP gained divided by an integer (something like 10), which could be changed if one wanted and knew what they were doing. I found no such thing in the MV version, so I was looking for a way to implement that so that one could use that as a formula instead. Issue is, I have no idea as to what the reference is for total EXP gained, nor how to implement it. Any help is much appreciated, merci beaucoup.

    Can't understand this plugin...Help!

Hello. I was wondering if I could get some help understanding this plugin. It is called Orange Time System. For people who haven't heard of it, it is used to create a time system in a Rpg Maker MV game. Basically, all I want is a demo for this plugin because there is no longer one available. If any of this seems confusing, please let me know. I appreciate any help on trying to figure this out. This plugin would really help me in the long run of my project.
  8. !ALERT! The first version contains parameters that will not work with RMMV v1.6.0 and beyond. Please use the second, slightly gutted version instead. Credits to Trapless for bringing this to my attention and helping to try fix it. Do NOT use the 1.6.0 version with MV 1.5.2 or below, it will throw a tantrum. Yes, there is a developer console that is included in RPGMaker MV. It's a more generic, but also more powerful Javascript console with a whole load of features like the network monitor which for most people and projects, are probably going to be fairly redundant. Sadly, unlike its predecessor RMVXAce, this console does not have a built-in option to be brought up on test launch. You have to manually bring it up by pressing the F8 button. Moreover, it comes in smack-bang in front of the game window and has to be manually resized by hand. This is annoying to no end.... ...unless you have this plugin. For RMMV Versions 1.5.2 and below: Gutted version for MV v1.6.0+: Stick this in a text file, rename the extension to ".js" and put it in your plugins folders. Use like any other plugin. In addition to resizing and repositioning options, there's an option for whether or not you want the console to initially appear behind the game window. Obviously, once you close the initial window, you'll have to F8 and manually resize and reposition if you want it back. It goes without saying that this is a developer's tool and is going to be utterly worthless to anybody who isn't planning on touching plugins. I'm not going to pretend it's particularly useful either, just there for the sake of convenience. I don't know why they took out the option from the editor - it was quite convenient in Ace. I'd like to be able to say this is my first MV plugin, but sadly it's my second - my first was a plugin made to bring back the fullscreen-on-boot option which also seems to have disappeared from MV. You now have to manually press F4 to fullscreen (unless you write a plugin for it like I did). I'm not feeling very impressed with the whole thing right now. Perhaps I'm just not used to it, but I'm finding Javascript a mess of semi-colon cancer compared to Ruby. EDIT - Nah, no point attaching an actual text file, won't save that much time for anybody wanting to use it. Just copy and paste and rename the extension. For obvious reasons, the forum doesn't allow upload of .js files directly. EDIT 18/11/2015 - Updated the plugin so you can name the .js file whatever and it'll still read the parameters. EDIT 28/02/2018 - Posted new version that works with MV version 1.6.0:

Looking for Art Critique - WIP

Hello everyone. I'm creating some more modernized/ Sci-Fi icons and hopefully going to move on to even larger pixel arts soon. Basically, I'm looking for feedback, and critique, as the title says. Currently, I only have a few icons for Ammo, and a couple of modernized grenades. Basically, every attack in my game that uses a gun, or skill that uses and item, will require ammo from the inventory. So. here we go. Mostly, my doubts involve lighting and shading... THESE ARE WORKS IN PROGRESS. PLEASE DO NOT USE, EDIT, OR SHARE outside of this thread. I Will be posting again when I am satisfied that they are ready to use. A bokuto, or wooden katana. Alien Mind Control (Take me to your refrigerator!!!) Energy Ammo Pack - the bottom is supposed to be a concave cube, whereas the top part is supposed to be cylindrical; silvered metal, with gold bands, and showing glowing red energy inside and at the connector tips up top.... but i'm not sure it doesn't just look flat. M84 - Flash bang. This one had so many sharp angles that i'm not sure you can even tell what it is, or if you can even make out the Pin... M67 Frag Grenade. The entire thing is OD green... so shading it to represent a light source is kind of difficult. A metal Bolt or Slug for a Rail Gun. Silvered metal with angled flanges coming off of the cylindrical core. M18 Smoke Grenade Pretty simple, but still kind of hard to draw the spoon on the side at the correct angles and to show the pull pin and the primer on top Handgun Ammo. Rifle Ammo Machine Gun Belt Shotgun shells in a woven fabric shell carrier That's all so far, and I will add more as i work through it, and need more icons to suit my game. Thoughts? (Once again, these are works in progress. PLEASE do not use for yourself just yet. I will release a new thread when I'm ready to share.)

So, here is the first face graphic I made with Game Character Hub: Portfolio Edition. She (to me anyway) kinda has that Unreal Tournament vibe going, with that headset and mid 90's hairstyle. Only edits made were to colorize the lips, but all done with the software, no external editing required!

  12. I still have a lot of work to do, but I think it's a good time to show off some story bits of chapter 0. ...Or, in this case, the whole thing. It's not entirely finished yet and there are still some bugs that need to be squashed. However, I'm quite happy with how it turned out regardless. I seem to enjoy making cutscenes look the best they can thanks to Galv's Camera plugin. The gameplay is every basic and I haven't gotten around to making any actions sequences, yet. This is mostly just to show off some bits of the beginning story. I might also try to get my topic back up again since I have some new stuff lined up, but I want to wait a bit longer just to make sure. Anyway, here's Chapter 0!

    Embers' Pyre

Embers' Pyre Follow the journey of a rather unconventional hero and make choices along the road to influence Cendril's development and ending! Genre: Fantasy RPG Game Progression: ~ 25% Estimated playtime: ~ 4h Download current version here! Cendril wields the power of conjuring flames - a very useful power to have in a realm that is plagued by the threat of monsters. As an aspiring knight, Cendril joins the ranks of the Military and participates in the mandatory training camp, where the recruits are given tasks to complete in order to prove their worth. Completing these tasks would be a breeze for the young Mage - were it not for the fact that the knowledge of magic is strictly forbidden in the Kingdom of Rolantis. Rather, the fresh recruit is forced to blend in among the others, which proves to be quite difficult, as, apart from fire magic, Cendril possesses no martial prowess whatsoever. Still, that is a hurdle that Cendril is willing to overcome - not least because the Mage's reasons for joining the Military differ from that of the many recruits in the camp... But as the training progresses, Cendril is quickly entangled in happenings that are far more dangerous than those of an ordinary training camp... And the young Mage embraces that turn of events. After all, what better way to make a great impression than to overcome these dangers? Characters: Features: Screenshots: Credits:

Supporting Cast: Verutan Descroix, a warrior priest from a time long past, will be seen here. His role is is great in the past and the present, but ancient magic prevents him from leaving his post. It is from him that Xarien receives his assignment, and to him that Xarien must report. As the Institute's Primus, he is the most powerful mage in the world but if the darkness prevails his powers will be as nothing. Unfortunately, Xarien isn't offering anything she's interested in. Geminius Vitello, former Imperator of Darius' legions in Latruvium, is raising a legion of his own. The land of his birth is calling, but Geminius will only answer with violence. And many more... The World: Callusia is a world comprised of six islands, each with its own distinct culture. Arreh, the starting island, is where people from all over the world call home, even more so as a hub for refugees fleeing the troubles in their own nations. Actions here will set the stage for the rest of the game. Westrel, the 2nd island, is where the wealthy wield their influence when they're not enjoying fun in the sun in Port Crescent or the Edgewater resort town. As the seat of power for the world's religious as well as the home of magical instruction, the capacity for corruption is almost endless. Lately though, something strange has been going on in the mountain community of Pineridge... Kjell, the 3rd island, is where some of the greatest warriors of Callusia's history have hailed from. A hardy people forged in the frozen tundra that makes up their home, they have long prided themselves on their ability to fight. Unknown to all but a few, this icy nation hides a secret that stretches long past Callusia's earliest recorded history. Oko, the 4th island, feudal home of the samurai and ruled with an iron fist by Shogun Kawashi Ito. Much of Callusia's earliest history is preserved here, but Kawashi guards it jealously. When the darkness visited the Okona, restless spirits began to assail the living, and the key to bringing peace to this land will lie in putting them, along with the dark power that raised them, to rest for good. Latruvium, the 5th island, home to the mightiest military force in the world, ruled by Dominus Darius Lucius. Oko's closest neighbor and oldest partner, the recent troubles throughout the world and in their own lands have brought these former allies to the brink of war. Zaahir is the final island, a desert waste populated by tribes of nomads and ruled from the great walled city of Abala by Emir Modatta al-Sayeed. It is the catalyst for the troubles and the dangers there will be the greatest Xarien will face, from the walking dead to the root of the darkness itself. Each of these islands has a unique problem to solve, but the key to solving the troubles of today lies in uncovering a shrouded past. FEATURES The WHOLE island of Arreh: 12 exterior maps including 1 major town, 1 minor town, 1 small village and 1 large marketplace 43 interior maps including 3 caves, 1 old keep, many homes, shops and other buildings Wandering enemies, no random encounters 7 side quests of varying lengths A visit to the island of Oko: 14 maps to see while exploring Sasaki's backstory, with much more to come during the pair's inevitable visit to the island. rmmv One Loves the Sunset

KODOTS GAMES PRESENTS SYNOPSIS One Loves the Sunset is a slice-of-life style of story-teller where you play as an ordinary old man who goes on with his ordinary life. Behind the seemly normal and rather mundane daily routines, it is shown that he is a damaged person, haunted by the past. The game will explore the theme of recovery and change, in subtle choreography and narrative as something very small and insignificant comes into old man's life and take the biggest place in his life. Due to the nature of the story, we cannot reveal much about characters without including spoilers. SCREENSHOTS KODOTS GAMES MEMBERS SomaelCK HaruAkira ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK David Lister Thanks for giving us your time! If you have any questions/feedback about the game, feel free to ask us here! We will be updating this thread from times to times. Please stay a while and enjoy! CREDITS
  20. I have tried searching for this, but I wasn't able to quite find what I'm looking for. I need some additional parts for the generator. Specificly, more casual, real-world-ish clothing, such as T-Shirts and Jeens, for both Male and Female characters. I'm sure something like that has already been made, but I did some searching and couldn't find anything I liked. Any help would be apretiated

To anyone who will apply to this commission note that we need most if not all of the items on this list completed. If you are interested please pm me. Compensation We will start the commission at $100USD but we are willing to negotiate for time and experience. Familiarity with Victor's battle motions plugin or Lecode's TBS is a plus.
  22. Hey everyone! I’ve been messing around with RPG Maker ever since VX came out (and even got a couples of demos out here and there), and I think I’m finally ready to commit to a full game! I’d really love your feedback for this first ‘real’ project. ABSTRACT: Hailey Comet and the Tower of Eul is a role-playing game that focuses on sharp writing and streamlined gameplay. SCREENSHOTS: GENRE: The game is a Fantasy solo RPG. GAME PROGRESSION: 20% - There are no more major gameplay overhauls to be made, or game-breaking technical issues to be adressed. From here on it's just getting down and dirty with designing dungeons, coding events, and writing dialogue. - Right now, I'm actually on leave from school, so you can bet I'm making the most of my time with this hobby of mine. Who knows, RPG making might even be my true calling. CREDITS: - Yanfly for all the plugins I’ve used. - IAmGyrowolf for some of the music. (his soundcloud is -> https://soundcloud.com/gyrowolf) RECRUITING: - Artists for a custom portrait and spritesheet for the protagonist. DEMO TIME: - It's only half an hour long, but I bet you'll like it DOWNLOAD (220 MB): - Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcaszu81dyxsfse/Hailey%20Comet.zip?dl=0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ STORY/CHARACTER BIO: The protagonist is a member of the royal Comet family. A century past, the prince of Comet used his royal magic to seal the Dark Lord Eul in the evil king’s own tower. He fortified this seal by awakening the magic within the other magic Towers across the land. With Eul defeated, the kingdom enjoyed an era of peace and prosperity. Hailey is a skilled adventurer, herself, and does all she can to live up to her family’s reputation. However, the royal magic protecting the seal has begun to falter, and Eul’s influence is beginning to corrupt the Towers and the lands surrounding them. Monsters have begun to appear, leaving the kingdom in danger of suffering under dark ages anew. The current heir to the throne, Hailey Comet, is tasked with undoing Eul’s corruption and putting a stop to his scheming. Will she succeed? GAMEPLAY: The player progresses through the plot by completing quests, bite-sized scenarios scattered across the map. Each quest offers a different gameplay experience for the player. Monsters and rivals are fought in a conventional turn-based system that has been hyper-compressed for a light, yet engaging experience. - Before she can restore the magic of the four Towers, Hailey must complete all of the Quests on the current map. Each Quest drops you right into the action onto a small ‘board’. The player will have to fight monsters, solve puzzles, and commune with the locals to complete the objective. - Combat has been streamlined from the default battle system to a unique, but easy-to-learn system. The player’s primary options are [Attack] and [Defend]. Attacking consecutively builds up your Heat; the more Heat the character has, the stronger they’ll be and the more bonuses they’ll have. You’ll be dealing pitiful amounts of damage until you can build up a decent amount. Defending reduces damage and restores your HP, but also drops all of your Heat. It’s up to the player whether they should continue to attack to build up Heat or to fall back and start anew when it’s safe. Features specific to the Special Demo Edition: - The first two Quests take place in a cellar, and a bandit hideout. The cellar will have you searching for pests in a basement, while the hideout will have Hailey sneaking past guards to reach the boss. - The first Tower, the Tower of Gales, is played as a platforming puzzle. - The third quest takes place in the run-down, crime-ridden city of Crimeya. The player must explore the town in order to find a way to enter the base of operations of the Blacktooth syndicate. - This special demo version also features a bonus boss. A mysterious boy from another world has been sighted around the Isles of Ire. Could he know anything about the Towers? KNOWN ISSUES: - A lot of the programming during battle is done through common events, so you might run into some bugs. For example, the player character will continue to use "follow-up skills" even on a KO'd opponent.
