  1. KyoAlert XP + VX + ACE + MV by Kyonides Introduction It simply displays a small notification alert somewhere on the screen depending upon the configuration of its KyoAlert module. The script will show it whenever you gained or lost any item, weapon, armor, or gold coins. It is possible to change the position of the icon and the item's name. There is a single script call, and it is used only if you want to display the fake Steam like alert. Use it for in game jokes! XD KyoAlert.achieve(ID) Screenshots Download Now! Terms & Conditions It's free as in beer. Include me in your game credits. Do Not Repost It!

    KSkillMax

KSkillMax XP & VX & ACE Version: 1.3.02 & 1.2.2 & 1.3.02 by Kyonides Arkanthes Introduction This script allows you to set a limit to the number of skills a hero may learn and keep for use in battles a la Pokemon but the menu looks and works in a different fashion. Actually, it looks more like any default menu than anything else. Besides the player may select which learned skills will be replaced with new ones IF the player ever wants any of them to be replaced. There's no problem if the player may prefer to replace just a few or even none of them. It's a Plug & Play script but it's still possible to change its settings by checking and editing most of the Constants found in KSkill module. Since version 1.1.0 you may count on 2 script calls to allow the heroes increase their skill limits if deemed necessary. XP & ACE $game_party.actors[INDEX].extra_skills += NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO $game_party.actors[INDEX].extra_skills -= NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO $game_actors[ID].extra_skills += NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO $game_actors[ID].extra_skills -= NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO Or you can increase it by 1 if you equip a certain accessory. Thinking They've told me that's how Persona works. Indifferent VX Only $game_party.actors[INDEX].increase_skill_limit(NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO) $game_party.actors[INDEX].decrease_skill_limit(NUMBER GREATER THAN ZERO) I think that the method names included in those script calls make clear what they are supposed to do during gameplay. The catch is that every single time you use any of them the skill limit increases or decreases by that number. Make sure the skill limit never goes below the original skill limit nor it reaches zero. The VX version of my script already includes two new info windows that will let you find out all there is to know about the selected skill so you as the player can take a better decision. I'll see if I can also do the same with the XP version, but that will take some time... SCREENSHOTS Download Now! Terms and Conditions Free for use but not meant for commercial projects, but you can contact me if you still want to include it in your game. Due credit is not optional but a must. Mention this forum as well. Please send me a free copy of your finished game!
  4. Okay, so I've mostly been working on mapping, and getting art assets taken care of, among other things, but I've come to realize that somewhere down the line... Saving is no longer working, and that's going to be a huge problem for v.1.0. Right now, saving isn't needed to enjoy the demo, but I intend to have the first chapter of the game story done by the first non-demo version, and in that regard, I need saving to work properly. Thing is, I don't know why it doesn't work. So, I will need help with this, and hopefully, @Kayzee can find time between sessions of that new Switch game (that I'll likely never play due to my wealth privilege level being lower), to aid me. If not...hmmm... Well, I'll cross that bridge when I get there I guess. I'm still waiting on one thing from one artist, who finally has their laptop all setup, and that's great. I actually am curious about setting system functions like saving to game switches, if that breaks them. I mean, I set the menu command to a switch is all; it won't appear if the switch is off but I wouldn't of thought that would disable the functionality. Hmmm... Eh. I've a lot on my mind and it is difficult to focus on gamedev, and fuck, even on gaming. I barely can do much of anything without being distracted by this or that, and it's too damn much! I need help here, but I'm most certainly not getting it! Yeah! I need help here!!!! (and asking for it from people offline gets me a 'fuck-you-but-I-won't-actually-say-it' response) I love the story I have come up with and I want to deliver it; so can I get some damn help here!? Is that too much to ask!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??

Can you escape from Site 0019? Screencaps: Video : Featuring : * Unique samples to avoid. 6. Hi everyone, If I check my fps using F2, my results vary drastically, usually fluctuating around 20-40, but occasionally dropping to 10 and rarely ever at 60. Is F2 a reliable source for my frames per second rate? I have a pretty big game in development, but I never go overboard on my map sizes/number of events. I never have maps with either dimension over 100 (rarely over 50), and I rarely have more than 30-50 events on a map (though I do use most of the events for mapping aspects). However, my fps seems to heavily depend on what map I'm currently on. Is the size of the map in comparison to the amount of events the primary contributor to fps drop? I don't run any parallel processes on the maps, just a few parallel process common events when called (though I do have one parallel process common event that is always running, though that doesn't seem to affect fps if I disable it). It's worth noting that I do use a lot of pictures in mapping. Not parallax-mapping technically, but fixing pictures to the map and layering them above/below the map at times, so my game does deal with processing several transparent elements at a time. Do pictures/graphics with transparent elements drastically affect fps rate? Personally, I don't seem to notice any significant loss of gameplay or appearance of my game at 30 fps, so I guess that's not an issue? But of course dropping to 10 is pretty laggy, so I'm hoping to make some improvements. It's also worth noting that my laptop is a Grade A Piece of $hit. Most games/applications do not run smoothly on this machine, so how much lag should be attributed to my game development/RGSS3's capabilities, and how much is the fault of my hardware? So, do your games always run at a smooth 60 fps, and if not, what do you do to reduce the amount of drop, and are you also okay with a 30 fps rate for an RM game? Thank, everyone! Update: I decreased the size of one of my particularly laggy maps (10-20 fps) and noticed an immediate improvement. Curiously though, my fps is not very improved (hardly over 20). It runs a lot better from what I can tell. Strange...?

  9. Hiya. Is it possible to change the name and icon of an item in-game? Thanks.
  10. I am trying to make a moving obstacle that ends the game if the player touches it. The problem is, the script only activates if the player actively moves into it. Since you are supposed to dodge it, I want to fix this. I have tried changing the event trigger between player touch and event touch, but the effect still stands. Am I doing something wrong or is this outside the program's capabilities? Images for those who want them: The script: http://i.imgur.com/oyCLuzd.png Standing and waiting for it to hit me: http://i.imgur.com/4flG4vN.png Moving into it. You can see the character is facing a different direction: http://i.imgur.com/ZQZ1N0i.png Any help would be appreciated.
  11. Hi hi~ I was just wondering how I'd go about making a skill that selects a random skill known by the user, when the user is asleep. Like the "Sleep Talk" skill in Pokemon. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Sleep_Talk_(move) Any help at all would be appreciated! Thanks in advance~
  12. Hello, my name is Wendell. I'm the creator of "Helvetios, a Sci-Fi Adventure", which you can find here on the forums. Welcome to the Countryside. Adam, a young man who used to live alone in the city his entire life, decided to quit his stressful job and live on the nature. He used all his money to buy an old farm in a village far from the noises of the city. You're the one who'll lead Adam on his way to find the peace he wants. You will uncover Adam's past and decide his future. Despite of his personal issues, Adam will have to deal with other characters, with their own problems, needs and interests. A complex net of relationships will be established. If Adam's arrival will change the village it all depends on you. Adam: Adam is the guy you control. He left the city to live a more peaceful life. He has nothing but his new home: a farm and a village with lots, lots of possibilities. The Bachelorettes: of course, you can marry. Choose a girl, win her heart and live happy forever. Valerie, a regular interior girl, born and raised at the Village. Works with her parents at the local market. Loves the nature and she doesn't bother when it's raining and she's outside. Usually calm, but she have her moments. June, moved to the Village a year before Adam. She runs the Animals farm along with her father and her brother. She's has a cowgirl style, strong and energetic, kinda masculine sometimes. Her mother disappeared when she was very young. She's always fighting with a local guy named Kyle. Wendy, the nerd. Likes videogames, comic books and stuff like that. Very interested in technology. She doesn't like to live at the Village, but their parents moved in because her mother was very sick. Her father thought it was the best chance for her to heal. He works as a Miner. Angela, the sweetest of all the girls. Very shy, incapable of hurting any living thing, but also, very smart and mysterious. Works at the clothing store with her mother. Her father works at a neighboring town, and he doesn't comes to the Village very often. She likes to go to the church. All other characters will be introduced to Adam as you play the game. I mean, if you want to meet them. This is the main part of this game. Below you'll find everything you can do on "Countryside". Please, proceed. - You can plant, water, cut and harvest crops in a system entirely made with events; - Each seed you can plant has its own growth rate, measured in game days and each one grows only on a specific season; - If it's raining, you don't need to water your crops; - You can check the next day weather, the local news and do some online shopping on Adam's computer; - Cooking system; - You can buy some clothes; - Adam has parameters: "Intelligence, Charm, Bravery and Faith", which will increase or decrease, depending on your actions. The villagers have their own interests, so, this will affect your relationship with them; - Advanced time system, with the current hour, day, day of the week, season and year; - Raise Cows, Chickens and Sheep; - Fish! - Buy machines to make cheese, butter and chocolate; - Work too much and you'll end up on the hospital! (Stamina System); - A quest system to find treasures and rare items; - Interact with the villagers to raise their interest on you: this way you can unlock more quests and, who knows, meet your soulmate; - Each marriage candidate has her "love meter", which will increase or decrease, depending on your actions; - All villagers have their own behavior: some will appear on certain places only under some specific circumstances, like, the time, the day of the week, the season and other requirements. Some locatons will only be accessible under some conditions too; - Custom menus; - No songs from RM Ace; - More to come. The game is on its early stage of development, so, more screenshots will be added as the development progresses. - - - - The menu: - The items menu: - - The crafting menu: each book gives different crafting options • Credits Rikifive / Victor Sant / Celianna / Galv / Bravo2Kilo / Hime / Jet / IzumiWhite / Shaz / Vlue (V.M of D.T) / Raizen

Features : (This one that's what makes the gameplay / developing progress took longer than usual.) - You decide what the story will become. - Simple, easy to interact system with the country. - This story will ruin your feelings (if you're serious gamer.) - (Plan to add) More pain, more gain battle system! - More to come as the development progress. Screenies : The title Screen (new new new O3O) currently waiting for illustrator to replace it. (Looking for some full interact of the battle system while keeping it as simple as possible, because the game purpose's let the players enjoy the story that they chose.) Credits : For support, you can copy this one to your siggy. nb : It's still a solo project, so it might took awhile. Looking for more team members with the same targets and plots.

    Wednesday's Knights

RTP DOWNLOAD | NON-RTP DOWNLOAD Wednesday's Knights is a JRPG inspired by and themed after classic tabletop RPG's. It was my official entry for this forum's Indie In A Week 2 challenge. It won second place, granting me that sweet little silver controller by my avatar. Now that the holiday season finished up, I have a chance to share it with the rest of the forum! The game features entirely custom graphics and music, and only lasts around 30 minutes. The soundtrack for Wednesday's Knights is available for free on my SoundCloud. The music is licensed under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 3.0 license. Trouble with RTP

Hello! I have a trouble with installing RTP for RPG Maker VX Ace. When I try to do it, I get a pop-up saying: 'Windows can't find the file "C:\Documents and Settings\Kuba\Pulpit\rtpvxace\Setup.exe". Make sure the entered file name is correct and try again. To find the file, click the Start button, and then click search.' Does anyone know what to do? I tried downloading the RTP from a different website, but it didn't work. I appreciate your help in advance.

    Help with Damage Formulas

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum! So I'm trying to make unique skills as my game goes along rather than the typical ones it gives you automatically, and I'm running into some hangups. I know it's possible to make them happen, but the damage formula isn't totally clear to me. I know it can run on if/then statements and calculations, but I need a bit of help explaining those. I've gone through a few notable threads and they've been helpful, but not totally clear. Here are some examples of specific skills I'd like to implement, but don't know how to work the damage formula. "Absolution" -- If target has less than 40% HP, instantly kill them; otherwise, deal medium holy damage. Any skill that can target both enemies and allies -- for instance, "deal damage to all enemies and heal all allies", or "lower defense of all enemies and raise defense of all allies" "Rune of Dispersion" -- all damage is dispersed among enemies for 3 turns (see Bravely Default's Black Mage Skill "Damage Dispersion" except applied to enemies) There are others yet to be determined, but just getting a good grasp on how to make more complex and unique damage formulas would really help. I'd like to be able to work it from scratch. Thank you for any help at all! And feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place.
  17. I need help with an event checking how much of an item there is in the inventory. For example, I want a person to say something like "Hey, I'll give you 100 gold for 3 potions." But then the event needs to check to make sure that there really is 3 potions in the inventory, and I don't know how to do that. Help please? And thanks in advance

  21. Hey, guys! So I'm starting a side project due to the fact that I lack resources for the main project. It's called "Love You to Death" *WARNING* Contains profanity Story: A young high school student Shirou is in constant distress with his life. The other students are rude and pathetic and always pick on him. Some of the teachers don't give two shits whether their students fail or kill each other. His parents are divorced. What else could go wrong? One day, most of Shirou's problems were... kind of surpressed. That same day, he is introduced to Aki, a new student. She was all that a lusty gentleman could ask for: lovely body with the most luscious curves, beautiful red hair, sparkly blue eyes, and an angel's voice. She takes pity on Shirou when gets gets bullied by Kudoh, calling him a "lonely faggot street-rat". Aki tells him and his goons to back off "or else", which they willingly do. Shirou and Aki quickly became friends from that point on. She had vowed to protect him at all costs, which Shirou though was "melodramatic" Assumptions that the two were dating catches the attention of Mai, Shirou's childhood friend. They were the best of friends and always stuck together until she moved farther from Shirou and took Advanced Placement classes. When Aki falls in love with Shirou, who doesn't give her a straight answer, she grows into some sort of bloodthirsty frenzy. She felt as if she had been a tool all along, but she didn't blame Shirou... she blamed every girl in Priina High, including Mai. Noticing the relationship between Shirou and Mai grow somewhat romantic and overhearing all of the pretty girls talk about how they found Shirou "kind of cute" and that they happen to have some hots for him, Aki believes that the only way to win his heart is at the point of a knife. Being a demon, Aki uses her power to have the entire school on lockdown, trapping most of the students and staff. As a "double lock", Aki also draws the school down to her Hell Plain. As the school writhes with sinister spirits, ghosts and demons, Shirou must escape this Hell... or at least survive Aki's demonic onslaught. Your typical Yandere horror game but with my little twist. It takes place at Priina High School, one of the few high schools in Redneval, Sargosso. The same continent where "Night Core: The Legend of Aesir", the main project, takes place. Kind of like Misao, The Witch's House, and Mad Father mixed together with a little bit of Outlast thrown into the mix.
