Flight: Nymphian Dreamway of Esoteric Yearning Fantasy

Introduction Just a small project I started working on a few days ago while i await the return of my two artists. So far it's been coming along super well and seems likely I'll have a playable demo ready within a week or two. This will not be a big ambitious game like Fantasia. It will be a game i can feasibly finish in a few months of downtime on other projects. It's a game i also have sorely needed to make as it is in this game where Fyori meets Mad E. Lin and later Esperia, an that relationship becomes a thing. Fyori and Esperia's relationship is one of the most explored and center-stage in the games both of them are in. It was a tad weird then that the beginnings of that relationship were basically situated in some borderline non-canonical apocrypha in a google document. So this game will explore the dynamic of both those relationships as well as how Fyori grew as the individual she becomes to be later. Story and World The game takes place primarily on Spriteopia. A world my games have already visited numerous times in the past. This world of it will be much more complete however. The game's name of "Flight" comes from the skyward-sword inspired world map where you can fly down to different islands and descend down layers, going all the way down the strathosphere until you reach the Dark Void, a labyrinthine series of tunnels and structures which serves as the home of the Shadow Pixies. The second half of the game will take place in a tunnel of yearning Fyori creates to find Esperia who she remembers from a certain encounter in Menagerie. This will be basically an excuse to make whatever I want to make. All I know right now is the first boss of this arc will be Kloe, who agrees to help Fyori find Esperia, knowing Esperia could use a good friend about now. Boundless and beautiful, the world has a cozy comfy faerie vibe and I love it. Characters Fyori The titular protagonist of the game. After defeating the Anarchic Annihilator during the era of the Menagerie, she retired to Spriteopia under her Mother Blu's instruction. Unbenknownst to her, this would be an utterly boring retirement lacking the surprises and suspense Fyori had come to treasure in the adventure that came before. Suffering this torment for a century, Fyori finally takes charge after learning one of her old friends from that Era has mysteriously disappeared from the timeline. While her supposed goal is to get to the bottom of it, realistically she just wants an excuse to go out and explore and find adventure. Blu allows her to be the free spirit she wants so long as she doesn't leave the planet. Mad E. Lin A shadow pixie Fyori finds in a chest at the end of a Forgotten Temple full of Dark Faeries and other Youkai.mad E. Lin tends to shift from raging tempest of loud destruction to calm zephyr of contemplative wonderment from one moment to the next. She claims to be the Heiress of Shadows, and that she was hiding in the chest to get out of doing chores that her mother keeps dumping on her. While the reception is rocky, mad E. Lin warms up to Fyori when she realizes Fyori has no real allegience with her mother and simply wishes to have an adventure. They team up with the end goal being for Fyori to try and make Mad's life a bit easier by using her political influence as Queen of Spriteopia to make some sort of compromise. Mad does not fight in combat, not because she cannot fight. The opposite is true, in that she would make things too easy. Fyori accepts this, having been almost killed by one of her attacks, and is happy to have company that isn't sedated to all hell or an Aspect making a play at motherhood. Gameplay I've already more or less gotten a good handle of this. All that remains is for enemies to drop items and ribbons occasionally. This can be done, i just haven't implemented it yet. I have a video which shows the core bullet-hell combat and what a boss fight can look like. All in all, I'm very happy with how smooth and fun the combat is turning out. -

DUSK (Demo) SYNOPSIS A retired Navy Captain must rescue his wife in this story driven ode to classic 16-bit turn-based RPGs. Greater Altreya is a Modern Fantasy world recovering from a civil war and not everyone is happy with the way the fighting ended. Captain Gray Seton is a highly decorated war veteran who is trying to put his past behind him, but finding it to be much more difficult then it sounds. When an ominous letter convinces him that his wife is in danger, he once again decides to take up his sword and embark on a journey that will force him to confront his past once and for all. Many of the people and places he encounters will remind him of the role he played in the war. Not all memories are good ones. Not everyone who knows what he did is happy about it. This demo will take you through the prologue, where Captain Gray realizes something is amiss, and makes plans to leave his quiet life and begin searching for Dr. Violet Seton, his wife. It can be finished in an hour. The full game will feature many dungeons and towns, filled with plenty of memorable characters and things to do. The overall tone of the game is lighthearted, but earnest. The fighting system will get more complex as the game goes on as Limit Breaks are introduced and the Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissor mechanic starts to play a much larger role. This is my first attempt at making my own game and I'm sure that I've made tons of mistakes. I'm looking forward to getting some feedback and seeing what you all think. OVERVIEW Foxblade Fable is a fantasy adventure inspired by late 90s anime and JRPGS, and is in particular inspired by 2D PS1 & Saturn games. The game follows the adventure of Leigh Ravengale and his friends as they travel to a variety of locations to destroy the Binding Stones that summon and control monsters plaguing the kingdom. PLOT SUMMARY CHARACTERS COMBAT SOUNDTRACK DEMO VIDEOS (WIP) Credit For the most part, I am a solo developer on this project. I've thus far been handling all the scripting, UI design, mapping, concept art, portrait art, writing, game design, composing, sound design, etc. That said, the vast majority of the tileset art was done by [at] StR_Lite on Twitter. They're incredibly talented and I'm extremely grateful for the help! I will be updating this thread as I work on the game, looking forward to sharing more progress with you!

You must guide her in her quest to find what has been lost and restore the shattered world. It will not be an easy journey as the hostile entities called "The Watchers" are patrolling the ground. Draw strength from the benevolent entities called the "Whispers" to stand up against the Watchers and climb your way up to escape the broken world. The Game MARGO is developed as an adventure RPG with a slow-paced deliberate combat-system that requires no grinding. The game features no random encounter. The enemy placement is fixed and they will not respawn after being defeated. Inspired by the table-top board games/card games, MARGO combat is slow-paced and each and every action must be taken deliberately to survive. Kids With Knives is a simple-yet-elegant turn-based RPG taking inspiration from early-2010's creepypasta RPG Maker games. It's not really a horror game, but it incorporates spooky elements. It mostly makes use of stock assets and is fairly low-budget to replicate the homegrown amateurish aesthetic, with the emphasis on the story and gameplay. The game takes place within a single small town and its surrounding areas, which nevertheless constitute a surprisingly expansive, open, and explorable world with many secrets to find. Development is still in progress, but we are expecting to release a playable demo sometime in early 2022! No jumpscares, but content warning for animated blood and violent imagery and descriptions. You and your mom have just moved to the small Minnesota town of Pineshade in search of a new lease on life. For you, this means a new school, new friends, and an unfamiliar environment. Despite being a bit lonely at first, the lush wilderness around the town is ripe for indulging your drive for exploration, and soon you manage to make some friends whom you can drag along on your adventures. But as you begin to notice strange occurrences around the town, and unexplained disappearances are reported, the three of you soon realize the town holds a dark secret: numerous malevolent cryptids and monsters of folklore and urban legend, collectively known as Unfound. The grown-ups don't believe you when you tell them of the supernatural forces at work, and you can't simply let them destroy Pineshade Town... so you and your friends resolve yourselves to stopping the Unfound menace and their mysterious leader. The Player: An adventurous, strong-willed kid who lives alone with their mom, having recently moved to Pineshade Town from the city. The pragmatic Rogue of the group, they can get down and dirty in a fight, with stunning sucker-punches, handfuls of sand, and sneaky hit-and-run attacks all on the table. There is a certain untapped potential in them that could potentially lead to moveset diversification down the line... They carry a pocketknife. Luke: An introverted and somewhat cowardly boy who is nevertheless committed to helping his friends out of a jam. He is a genius tinkerer, able to build all kinds of gadgets to assist his friends in the war against the Unfound. Functionally the Mage of the group, he builds his expansive Tech skill arsenal not through leveling up but through crafting Tech Weapons. He carries a Swiss Army knife. Kiera: A very strange girl who seems to have her head in the clouds most of the time. Reclusive and socially-awkward, but still eager to make friends, she also seems to have a connection with the Unfound that has yet to be discovered. Kiera is the Warrior of the group, savagely attacking and maiming enemies with bloodthirsty abandon. She carries a kitchen knife. Shauna: A classmate of the Player, she is cheerful and studious, but tends to keep to herself. As things escalate, though, it starts to seem like she may have more of a stake in the fight than was previously thought... Shauna plays a support role to the main trio, providing situation reports and offering sidequests that can reward you with additional skills. Maria: The Player's mom. A dedicated parent through-and-through, Maria welcomes the Player's friends as if they were her own kids, giving the trio someone they can always turn to. Frank: Luke's dad, and Pineshade Town's trusted mechanic. Frank is a rough and hardened type who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and he tries his best to be supportive despite not always understanding everything. Mysterious Figure: This sinister being appeared in Pineshade Forest just before the Unfound began to make themselves known. What secrets are they hiding? Hello! I'm Widget Kitty (which is probably going to be a "company name" to release this game and others). I've been playing around with the RPG Maker series since 2001 (in my 30s, I'm getting to be an old gal now!) but recently got serious about it. I'm stuck indoors now for health reasons, might as well take two decades of ideas and make one big game! My game at the moment is titled "Big Friggin' Magical Adventure", and is a sort of fantasy comedy with several questlines, somewhat open world. it's like Earthbound mixed with Zelda, but presented like an Elder Scrolls game. Right now mostly just maps and music are done, about 30% of each. Graphics need to be made, along with a battle system, but I'm thinking of putting together a demo for people to try out these puzzles and review the soundtrack so far. I'm making everything myself, and want to keep it that way for the moment, but not sure what will happen down the line. So here's a few of the "Loot Dungeons" - there will be 50 of these, none that are attached to any quests. They're for gathering and grinding (monsters, chests, and ingredients will level with the player, so the order doesn't matter), thought the king has a hefty reward for anyone who completes all of them. Take a look: And this is a concept for a final dungeon, in the main quest line. Probably the most complicated dungeon I've ever made! It's the Royal City Clocktower, corrupted into a mess of mechanical pathways by chaotic magic. For now these crystals can stand in for the gears and other stuff that attack you, once I have the graphics done. The minigame toward the end (supposed to be the face of the clock) I'm especially happy with, took a while though! Hi, so I finished the demo for my current project Summer Solstice about guess what? The Summer Solstice. During last years festival Summer (the main character) 's best friend Spencer got attacked by a demon and now he is possessed and trying to stop you the player from completing the rituals. The rituals take the form of minigames which all have unique game mechanics. There are also random encounter battles and boss fights. The player also gets to explore 5 areas. I really need feedback for this game though because this project is for my EPQ (extended project qualification) for my A levels and I really want to include user feedback in the project. On the itch.io page where you can download it there is a survey which I have linked for you to complete after you play it.
