Hello! I'm attempting to use Yanfly's Victory Aftermath script, but for some reason on the screen where it shows what stats are increased, the text showing the increased stats is not present. I've looked through the script as well as other ones I have installed to see what the issue is, but I couldn't figure out anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks! I have attached the list of scripts I currently have as well.

https://castiger.itch.io/kotc-optimized-pathfinding-system An adaptation of the AStar pathfinding library for maximal optimized usage within Rpg Maker MV and Rpg Maker MZ, also used in my game Knight of the Celestial. I released this because after looking at all the other pathfinding scripts, I felt the community needed one that keeps the FPS high, and one that can find paths immediately and exactly to wherever one pleases, including random locations on the map, or near a target coordinates or target event. Unlike other pathfinding scripts, while anything is pathfinding, including the player, it will ignore collisions with other events if they're in the way,, passing through them without using Through, and without triggering unwanted touch events. Features: -Works on player as well, if anything ever throws it off course, it auto adjusts. -Highly optimized pathfinding with minimal to no impact on cpu usage. -Events stop pathing when in a menu, and continue when menu is closed. -No range limit, can path across a huge complicated map with no impact on performance. -Path to random walkable location on map.- -Path to random location in a chosen radius of the x y location chosen on map. -Path to target event or player. -Path to random location in a chosen radius of the target event or player.

KoTC Advanced Optimized Autoscaling Minimap Advanced Features: -Picture Map Mode, builds a detailed picture of the map for use as the minimap. -Option to Draw Parallax in the place of the background color. -Auto Terrain Map Mode: based on users tilesets. -More ways of displaying icons on events such as Dots, Square, and even the events own texture. -Exploration Map Mode, map is drawn as you explore it, and is memorized for when you return to it. For two years I've worked on this commercial video game project in RPG Maker VX Ace. I released it on Steam on May 15th 2020, but I totally forgot to upload it here. I've worked very hard on making this game possible, getting permission to use some other people's resources, working with a huge collection of music teams, mastering pixel art, getting some scripting help from users on this community, and designing a fun and exciting story. Hello, I have a thing in my game where at the beginning, there's this old guy, he's sad because his friend did and you half to give him an item to make him feel better so he can give you an item that let's you get the real ending in the game. How do I do this? I would also like to know how to add multiple endings. Please help me. I use rpgmaker XP if that helps

He not only plays through your game from start to finish, but he also does it live so you can watch, along with others. This provides on opportunity for you to explain mechanics or see exactly where bugs or glitches occur. You can have the stream up while watching and get live feedback on your project. Another benefit is that the community is growing and other viewers can provide suggestions so it’s like a Quality Assurance meeting! Has anyone ever made a portion of their game where a character can play a game, whether for fun and/or for financial gain? Like, having an arcade where one can have the main character play the hardcore Arcade Tetris, or a racing game, or what have you, or to go into a casino to play Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and so on? If so, did you use scripts, common events, combinations of both, or something different altogether? Me personally, I've had a hard time trying to event slot machines (though when I made a game in RM for the PSX this was no problem at all), but it would be cool to have, especially with animated graphics for the arm and the moving reels... -
This won't be a long, drawn out entry. It seems that my IP address is no longer banned on RMW or RMN (but from what I was able to gather it never was on RMW). I did create a new account on RMW some time back, though I had to use a proxy to get in. Well, it has been since May 10, and I can't even make a fucking introductory post (oh yes, familiar and brutally UNFAIR TERRITORY HERE). So, I'm asking for someone from here to go speak with a fair admin over on RMW, please, for heaven's sake. Of course, I don't know of anyone here that has an account on RMW, well, except one unless she moved from there to here, that being Amysaurus. But seriously, please, help me. I'd try to contact one of the admins myself, but I do not like the idea of pleading an IP Hack case to people that are potentially partial. I only ask, because I'd do the same for anyone else. Thank you in advance. Oh, my account name? We'll discuss it not in public if you decide to assist me. One more thing. It may help if the person who does assist me is both an admin here and on RMW.

OK so I am still unable to fix a glitch I keep getting. Instead of screenshots I'll just link you a zip that has the map and glitch in question. As I was taking screenshots it hit me that the events are to long, and to really get the problem you had to see it as well as the full events. However as I don't want a random viewer to steal my game I just took the single map, scripts, and basically copied them into a new project file. A lot safer and it makes it easier for you guys to test it out. So the glitch---if you pick up a item the killer NPC will either A, automatically see you even if he's 2 walls away from you. Or B and more commonly, he walks downward into the wall and completely stops moving. I CAN NOT FIX THIS NO MATTER WHAT I DO! If you just follow behind him it works just find, but there's enough room to go around him and catch him off guard. So can someone download the game and tell me what's the deal with this? You can see the script I'm using for pathfinding in the file, but here it is anyways (it's not the problem tho as this glitch was present way before I found the script). I don't want a new pathfinding script as it'll just result in the same exact glitch I'm betting, plus this was the only script I could ever get to work. I know it's not the problem, but just because "somebody" will ask for it rather than look in the zip...yeah this glitch has me very annoyed. We knew we wanted to make a game about our favorite Anime, but we weren't quite sure about where to start. We were just discussing the idea and doing minor things. Then, suddenly, the first Straw Hat battler was ready and perfect. That gave us a giant hype, so we started to actually MAKE the game. Soon after that, we had animations for skills and a few enemies. Later, we had developed a fun combat system, where one would actually have to strategize to achieve victory. And so on... As time went by, our hype for the game had grown ever further, as more and more was made and the game was finally taking shape. Now, couple of months later, we have our first playable demo! We still have a long road ahead, but we are excited to be doing this and hope will be able to finish it! We own them everythin. One Piece - Memory Island wouldn't exist without them. Greetings everyone ! I am currently facing a hard decision . I have too storyline I really appreaciate and I would like to make a game out of both of them however , I really cannot which one to start with . This way , I would like you to tell me which one would you prefer : The first one , it involves several characters (around 15) , this will be a visual novel , survival , sci-fi , mystery , point and click game . In this game , people will die and you will have to discover who is the murderer behind each crime in order to execute them to gain something and discover what has mysteriously happened to them . The storyline will have twists and be rather psychological . There will be a point and click interface , you will be able to interact which characters and get to know their backstory . The second , has fewer characters (around 4) , this will be a 2D cute , fantasist , mystery and magic game . In this game , you will have to discover a mystery involving around the main character when she finds out that her crush mysteriously disappears and that people around seem to freeze without even noticing it . There will be many mini games but it will be mainly about sinking for specific items to go through the storyline which will lead to several endings . There are two pictures : the two first pictures shows most of the characters ( I haven't drawn all of them yet) from the first (survival) game idea and the second picture shows an exemple of point and click interface . There two last pictures show two maps from the second (cute) game . -
So, I have 2 events that seem to not work with each other. The first is a character that simply walks around (I've spent days getting his walk path right without any problems), if he sees you its game over. The other event is a item you can pick up, just a simple "character talks and game gives them a item" event. However, whenever I test and I get said item, the killer event (the event that's walking about) no longer works. I moved the item event closer to the killer event's path so I could see what he does as I pick up the item. When I do pick up the item, the killer event walks right pass the turn he's suppose to take and instead walks a few more steps and then turn, getting stuck on the walls. And no, it is not his pathfinding event, if I never even tough this one item then he walks about the map "perfectly" with no issues at all. Its only as I pick up this item that he seemingly is unable to turn "until the item's event is over", but I don't see what is the cause. Autorun doesn't stop the killer event he just keeps moving (which makes item collecting in this map harder), so that's not it. Both the item and his pathfinding events are parallel progress, and I tested this by picking up another item that is in the exact turn he's suppose to take---once he took the turn just fine, but just now he walked by the turn, the item event ends, he spots me, and runs all the way back. XD What a glitch! So, it is all of the item events..how do I fix this to where I can pick up the items and the killer event doesn't glitch out? I would upload the unfinished demo but Jesus Christ it is taking forever to even attach...

Hello everyone! Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I'll tell you a little bit about me to help you understand why I'm thinking about doing this. I've been using RPG Maker for 10 years as of this post, and have enjoyed helping others tell great stories through their games in my time using it. Part of what I really like about RPG Maker is how friendly it is for beginners and for people with no programming knowledge (such as I was upon first discovering it!), and I firmly believe that we don't have to sacrifice that in order to achieve a much more powerful software. I remember the first time I learned about what "scripts" are. I was amazed! They opened up the doors for things I didn't think possible with the program. I immediately knew that creating scripts was something I definitely wanted to learn more about. So I did. Learning to program in RPG Maker helped me understand how it really works under the hood, and how unnecessarily limited it is. At first, I enjoyed the challenge of making new solutions to work around the program's limitations. I saw lots of impressive projects suffer because of the program's limitations, and decided to do something about it. That's how Effectus was born. Many problems in RPG Maker are related to the program's performance, but there are many that aren't. Having used every iteration of the program since RPG Maker XP, I found lots of things I'd like to improve about the workflow of the editor, and the architecture of both the editor (the program itself) and the player (what runs the games made with it). I had really high hopes for MV. I thought they were finally going to adress most of what the community has been voicing for more than a decade. They didn't. MV might be an improvement upon Ace, but it is definitely not what I wanted. It's not what I expected after a decade and after three iterations of basically the same program with different names. Last year, I talked with my good friends Solistra and Enelvon about the limitations of the program and what we could do about it. At first, we focused on the limitations of RGSS (every version) and the "player", and thus, we decided to make a new one to play games made with RPG Maker. We did, and by doing that, I noticed how much I had to artificially limit many things in order to honor RPG Maker's architecture. The player, although almost complete (...missing wave effects for Sprites and some minor release details, basically) was never released. I didn't want to do the same thing I fault RPG Maker for: artificially limit things. By the end of the year, I told them that maybe we should just go ahead and create a new program altogether. Although they liked the idea, we didn't really move forward with it. They were very busy (still are!) and we didn't have time to talk about it properly. But the seeds of creation were already planted in me. I didn't really stop thinking about it, and the idea has grown since then. Fast forward a couple of months: I'm writing this to request the opinions of the community, because I really love the idea of making a new program instead of fighting against the limitations of RPG Maker.- 37 replies
