  1. DUSK (Demo) SYNOPSIS A retired Navy Captain must rescue his wife in this story driven ode to classic 16-bit turn-based RPGs. Greater Altreya is a Modern Fantasy world recovering from a civil war and not everyone is happy with the way the fighting ended. Captain Gray Seton is a highly decorated war veteran who is trying to put his past behind him, but finding it to be much more difficult then it sounds. When an ominous letter convinces him that his wife is in danger, he once again decides to take up his sword and embark on a journey that will force him to confront his past once and for all. Many of the people and places he encounters will remind him of the role he played in the war. Not all memories are good ones. Not everyone who knows what he did is happy about it. This demo will take you through the prologue, where Captain Gray realizes something is amiss, and makes plans to leave his quiet life and begin searching for Dr. Violet Seton, his wife. It can be finished in an hour. The full game will feature many dungeons and towns, filled with plenty of memorable characters and things to do. The overall tone of the game is lighthearted, but earnest. The fighting system will get more complex as the game goes on as Limit Breaks are introduced and the Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissor mechanic starts to play a much larger role. This is my first attempt at making my own game and I'm sure that I've made tons of mistakes. I'm looking forward to getting some feedback and seeing what you all think. IMAGES/SCREENSHOTS CHARACTERS Captain Gray Seton - A highly decorated war veteran and devoted father and husband. Coral Maguire - A creative and ambitious Inventor. Taken in by the Seton family at an early age. Ruby Seton - An aspiring Botanist with a keen interest in Apothecary. The daughter or Gray and Violet. Help with Yanfly's Victory Aftermath

Hello! I'm attempting to use Yanfly's Victory Aftermath script, but for some reason on the screen where it shows what stats are increased, the text showing the increased stats is not present. I've looked through the script as well as other ones I have installed to see what the issue is, but I couldn't figure out anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks! I have attached the list of scripts I currently have as well.

    SQUIRMUNITY

Squirmunity is a game where you're a Cube. But you're not just any Cube, your mission is to SQUIRT yousrelf into this SQUIRMUNITY - NOT in an adult way but in a fun-loving geometric object way! There's plenty to explore in the demo, and the developer carefully designed each little mechanic of the game to be player unfriendly as possible, whilst simultaneously being directly driven by the Holy Spirit! Epileptics will be slain. “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race. https://squirmunity.com We have a demo!

    That's my Exploit Keeper!

A short game made in less than a month, developing an idea I had in mind from long time ago after playing lots of poorly made RPG Maker games. Edinya, the guardian of the sacred tree, is suddenly awakened by one of her guards, who reports to her of inexplicable events within the forest that she must urgently go investigate... The two creators of her world, the two game developers, are in conflict over who holds the intellectual property rights of the game, and their character Edinya is right in the middle. Help her find exploits within the games in order to put an end to their struggle that is wreaking havoc on the entire game world. Exploit Keeper is a puzzle game, where you have to change the version of the game between the well developed one and the poorly developed one, to find the game bugs and exploit them to be able to continue the plot. Badly programmed mechanics might be useful if used in the right place... Between features that work poorly, repeating events and unindexed values, you will find every kind of nightmarish bug for beta testers! Probably not intended Screenshots: Length: 30-60 minutes. There is a "solution system" if you can't solve the puzzles. There are two standard endings, and a super secret one! Game both in English and Italian. Credits: In the game folder Download: https://waldorf.itch.io/exploit-keeper
  7. OVERVIEW Foxblade Fable is a fantasy adventure inspired by late 90s anime and JRPGS, and is in particular inspired by 2D PS1 & Saturn games. The game follows the adventure of Leigh Ravengale and his friends as they travel to a variety of locations to destroy the Binding Stones that summon and control monsters plaguing the kingdom. PLOT SUMMARY CHARACTERS COMBAT SOUNDTRACK DEMO VIDEOS (WIP) Credit For the most part, I am a solo developer on this project. I've thus far been handling all the scripting, UI design, mapping, concept art, portrait art, writing, game design, composing, sound design, etc. That said, the vast majority of the tileset art was done by [at] StR_Lite on Twitter. They're incredibly talented and I'm extremely grateful for the help! I will be updating this thread as I work on the game, looking forward to sharing more progress with you!

Meet exciting people like Robun, and explore the maps to your heart's content! Use many of the various elements to quickly defeat your foes! The game rewards you for smart plays using the Hype system. Exploit the enemy's weakness, but be careful as they can do the same to you! Meet an interesting cast of characters! Have them join your party and utilize their unique skills. Spend time with them to learn more about their backstory, and have them grow stronger in battle. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the paid game here: https://dyzdev.itch.io/dyztopia Wanna try it before you buy it? OTHER Team JethKo - Knee Deep

Team JethKo - Knee Deep is a detective adventure with role-playing elements & turn-based combat. What started as a small project turned into a huge thing that took almost a year of work. [: In this game I put ideas into action that have accompanied me since my teenage years & have now become reality. Graphics (apart from facesets & backgrounds), music & story are made by me again. In this concoction I celebrate the cartoons & the music of the 90s & Americana. I also wanted to promote the Artbreeder website with the backgrounds & facesets. [; The focus of this thing is on humor & very far-fetched puzzles. [: I hope you enjoy the game. Inspiration: Sam & Max, The Tick, Duckman, Hotline Miami 2. Grunge, Funk Metal, Nu Metal, Rave, Hip Hop, Jungle. Jethro is fed up. He doesn't want to interview more D-celebrities for this smear sheet, for which he is hired as a writer. He's after a big story again. Then he hears of mysterious murders of young women plaguing Chillcottin City. It's high time he reunited with his old pal Aoko to stir up the underworld of Chillcottins & the tech company that runs the place. Chillcottin City is located where New England & the majestic Sequoia forests meet the Rocky Mountains, the Great Plains & the Bayous. The city is ruled almost dictatorially by a tech mogul, Robert E. Ternel, who even has ambitions to be crowned the new mayor. Robert E. Ternel's corporation dominates the entire urban economy with its cybernetic & genetic engineering products. The nebulous religious fanatic Mr. Person Man is also said to be in cahoots with him. Characters: Jethro Adimari, 33, is a passionate journalist & a failure. His wife Michelle loves him, although he is self-pitying and generally not the brightest. His wife doesn't like the fact that he spends so much time with Aoko when he's feeling adventurous again. He adores his red Isetta "Richthofen". Aoko Kitamoto, 27, is an unemployed justice fighter waiting to use violence against the good-for-nothing again. She loves video games, pop culture, being out of work & violence. And many more quirky Chillcottin originals! The villains: No Clip Norman, Grimace, Moon Logic, Weird Rado Karadzic, Ant Ass Andy, and others. * Approximately 4 hours of hard-hitting puzzle action with challenging battles!! * Limited save options!! * Humor!! * Things to find but also to miss!! * High score will be shown to you at the end of this thing!! * Hand drawn stuff!! * Backgrounds were cobbled together using state-of-the-art AI technology!! * Totally wacky characters!! * A Lovestory?? Shoka

SYNOPSIS Shoka is specifically designed to make sure YOU WON'T WIN. Kinda reminiscent of those "Kaizo" games e.g. Emerald Kaizo and Kaizo Mario. The mechanics are pretty simple to understand, anyone who've played any RPG Maker game should know the game's control but just in case there's people who have never heard of RPG Maker reading this forums, the controls are as follows: Z - SELECT X - CANCEL ARROW KEYS - NAVIGATION This game is nigh impossible because even if you over-level yourself, there will still be some bosses that can destroy you if you make a wrong move, and if you screw up too much, you might have to restart the entire game since save points are very limited. Discounting the bosses, some random encounters can catch you off-guard and send you to the game over screen! Apart from that, there's not much to worry about, this game isn't confusing at all, everything is pretty linear and laid out with some hidden items here and there, all you need to do is not lose. I will not be delving into anything pertaining to this game here like it's character or plot, except for the opening sequence, which is an average person coincidentally stumbling across a gateway. I understand that dropping some spoilers about the lore and gameplay is good for hooking in potential players, but Shoka is best played completely blind as the feeling of playing through a game for the first time without any outside knowledge is truly sacred. Hell, even the images I posted below are completely meaningless without any context. You might argue this defeats the purpose of using "Inline spoiler" but let's be real here, our instinctual curiosity will lead us to clicking on the spoiler tag so it never had a purpose to begin with. If you want to know more about the game, you can watch this trailer and read the wall of text in the comment section. There are spoilers but I kept it pretty minimal, nothing about the lore or major events. And if you STILL have any questions that you want to ask before or after playing Shoka, you can contact me directly via my discord server, as my DMs are always open. The community is pretty friendly too, albeit chaotic most of the time. IMAGES AND SCREENSHOTS DOWNLOAD LINKS https://gamejolt.com/games/Shoka/621091 https://xolze-telos.itch.io/shoka

    Resource Request Ideas

Hello (it's been such a good while since I've been here and always great to come back). I'm wondering if any of you have ideas of what assets people want or need for their projects and games? Perhaps it might be better to ask what do YOU want or need for your own project? That is tilesets sprites and items etc. Like are there any extra assets that you feel are missing from the base set and feel it would be nice to have? Or just any assets that you would like to see that maybe you haven't found anywhere before?

    MARGO - On the Brink

Kodots Games & Eureka Presents MARGO - On the Brink MARGO - On the Brink (Working Title) is a surreal adventure/RPG with a traditional turn-based combat. You play as a nameless girl with no recollection of the past trapped inside the depth of the crumbling realities called the "The Brink". You must guide her in her quest to find what has been lost and restore the shattered world. It will not be an easy journey as the hostile entities called "The Watchers" are patrolling the ground. Draw strength from the benevolent entities called the "Whispers" to stand up against the Watchers and climb your way up to escape the broken world. The Game MARGO is developed as an adventure RPG with a slow-paced deliberate combat-system that requires no grinding. The game features no random encounter. The enemy placement is fixed and they will not respawn after being defeated. Inspired by the table-top board games/card games, MARGO combat is slow-paced and each and every action must be taken deliberately to survive. This unique battle system is custom-made and we are currently developing it from the ground up. (Still a long way to go:kaodes:) The Characters Screenshots Team SomaelCK HaruAkira Edgeklinge Many thanks for reading through this thread. Would appreciate hearing your thoughts! Credits

  22. Kids With Knives is a simple-yet-elegant turn-based RPG taking inspiration from early-2010's creepypasta RPG Maker games. It's not really a horror game, but it incorporates spooky elements. It mostly makes use of stock assets and is fairly low-budget to replicate the homegrown amateurish aesthetic, with the emphasis on the story and gameplay. The game takes place within a single small town and its surrounding areas, which nevertheless constitute a surprisingly expansive, open, and explorable world with many secrets to find. Development is still in progress, but we are expecting to release a playable demo sometime in early 2022! No jumpscares, but content warning for animated blood and violent imagery and descriptions. You and your mom have just moved to the small Minnesota town of Pineshade in search of a new lease on life. For you, this means a new school, new friends, and an unfamiliar environment. Despite being a bit lonely at first, the lush wilderness around the town is ripe for indulging your drive for exploration, and soon you manage to make some friends whom you can drag along on your adventures. But as you begin to notice strange occurrences around the town, and unexplained disappearances are reported, the three of you soon realize the town holds a dark secret: numerous malevolent cryptids and monsters of folklore and urban legend, collectively known as Unfound. The grown-ups don't believe you when you tell them of the supernatural forces at work, and you can't simply let them destroy Pineshade Town... so you and your friends resolve yourselves to stopping the Unfound menace and their mysterious leader. The Player: An adventurous, strong-willed kid who lives alone with their mom, having recently moved to Pineshade Town from the city. The pragmatic Rogue of the group, they can get down and dirty in a fight, with stunning sucker-punches, handfuls of sand, and sneaky hit-and-run attacks all on the table. There is a certain untapped potential in them that could potentially lead to moveset diversification down the line... They carry a pocketknife. Luke: An introverted and somewhat cowardly boy who is nevertheless committed to helping his friends out of a jam. He is a genius tinkerer, able to build all kinds of gadgets to assist his friends in the war against the Unfound. Functionally the Mage of the group, he builds his expansive Tech skill arsenal not through leveling up but through crafting Tech Weapons. He carries a Swiss Army knife. Kiera: A very strange girl who seems to have her head in the clouds most of the time. Reclusive and socially-awkward, but still eager to make friends, she also seems to have a connection with the Unfound that has yet to be discovered. Kiera is the Warrior of the group, savagely attacking and maiming enemies with bloodthirsty abandon. She carries a kitchen knife. Shauna: A classmate of the Player, she is cheerful and studious, but tends to keep to herself. As things escalate, though, it starts to seem like she may have more of a stake in the fight than was previously thought... Shauna plays a support role to the main trio, providing situation reports and offering sidequests that can reward you with additional skills. Maria: The Player's mom. A dedicated parent through-and-through, Maria welcomes the Player's friends as if they were her own kids, giving the trio someone they can always turn to. Frank: Luke's dad, and Pineshade Town's trusted mechanic. Frank is a rough and hardened type who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and he tries his best to be supportive despite not always understanding everything. Mysterious Figure: This sinister being appeared in Pineshade Forest just before the Unfound began to make themselves known. What secrets are they hiding? Featuring art by: AmityAsphodel LunarProjections CrazyCrab vanzuhn Hiddenone Johan86 Avery And more in the future!

    OTHER Swans In The Wallow

SWANS IN THE WALLOW "Swans in the Wallow" is a retro-horror-mystery-adventure-game with RPG elements in insane 16 colors!! Almost everything in this game I made myself: graphics, music, engine. In classic adventure style you move through rooms, choose actions and solve puzzles. This gameplay is loosened up by turn-based RPG combat encounters. The game is packed with deep nostalgia for ancient text-adventure classics, subcultural references & love for mindf*** plots. Story: Somewhere in East Germany: You wake up in your vacation home after a two-day blackout. But where is your husband Erik? Nobody has noticed or knows how to help you further. Neither the local metalhead savages, nor this ominous religious community that has sealed itself off from the outside world on an old farm for years. You can't get rid of the suspicion that there are dark influences at work here: is it the local satanists, the ooze from the surrounding swamp or is it the nameless cult? Will the residents finally break their silence or will the "spirits" of nature lead you into your husband's arms once again? Summary: Genre: Adventure, RPG Topic: mystery, horror Language: English Duration: ca. 2 hours Features: Limited resources, few save points, go for the high score (!) Inspiration: Das Drachental, The Wind, Faith, Alone In The Dark, Resident Evil 7, Hidetaka Miyazaki, H. P. Lovecraft, Beherit, Taake, Neurosis, Leslie Gore, my bae (Ruby) Music: For the music I chose a mixture of Dark Ambient, Black Metal, Drum & Bass & Electro.
