  1. Now, I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of jrpgs but this is what the engine excels at, so it's not like I never thought about making one ever. My gripes however always stood with how to make battle encounters interesting on a base level, how to intrigue the player with some neat mechanics. For example, I like how in Etrian Odyssey you can 'bind' an enemy's body parts to disable specific skills, giving you even a slight advantage or how shadows in Persona 4 can get overwhelmed by your party if you attack their weakspot. I always wondered though, how much is “too much“? Would something like changing the classic "weak to fire" or "weak to thunder" be too weird? For example, in a test project I made, I shifted the attention to weapons and created a main triangle of sorts: Slashing Weapons, Crushing Weapons and Piercing Weapons (fire emblem does something similar I believe?) The weakness chart being: Slash>Crush>Pierce>Slash. Some weapons of course being slight hybrids or not being affected, like a mage's staff. Weapons like lances or bows are good at mid/long range attacks, so they do slightly more damage to backrow enemies, while other weapons like swords and axes have their attack lowered. Magic in this case has no specific damage bonus on enemies, who is weak to magic is weak to magic who is weak to physical is weak to physical. The only real difference being some enemies being weak to specific states applied by the elements (some weapons have their own states too, like 'bleeding' for swords/knives). Also states affect one another, an enemy that was hit by water has a chance of remaining drenched for a few turns, making electric attacks stronger but fire will instead dry their body or have a chance of cauterizing bleeding wounds, and so on. But like I said, is something like this too much? Does it sound tedious or boring?

  5. Starcaller is a new Fantasy/sci-fi RPG adventure game focused on story and exploration. Browser based demo.. no downloads needed. All original pixel art and music score, and the rtp sound fx are being worked on as we speak to replace the default assets. We wanted to take a slightly different approach to retro RPG gaming. Exploration is split between side scrolling (for overworld exploration) and top down(for Dungeons and other instances). IT is set in the same universe as a previous release called Myrkvidr. Most of the graphical elements are done with Parallax layers as opposed to tilesets. The purpose of this early Demo is to gather feedback for improving the game going forward. please check it out and we hope you enjoy it! Play the demo here

    OTHER Dawn of Alcieste

Hello everyone, I'm Lucius Blank, and my brother and I want to introduce you to our story, Dawn of Alcieste. This game is being worked on RPG Maker 2003, I've used most of the rpg maker engines, but nothing beats the nostalgy that this retro engine brings. I have been using this engine since it came out back in 2003, and can confidentely say that I know how it works from A to Z, my specialty being spritting and programming, while my brother has the best story telling. Our main language is not english, however we decided to use it as the game language to reach as many people as possible, so you may catch some weird sounding phrases, if you do, please let us know, feedback is always appreciated. Without further ado this is the game premise: This story takes place in the continent of Alcieste, compossed by the kingdoms of Elgasta, Phyris, Praekopis, Kriegerheim and Sadhal, and surrounded by the called barbarian islands. The continent geography defines the borders between the kingoms, and it ranges from the arid deserts in Sadhal to the snowy mountain ranges in Kriegerheim. The continent is populated by humans, but a rich folklore and legends of intelligent creatures and monsters can be found everywhere, with many claiming evidence of the existence of said creatures, however, dangerous monsters can be found all around the continent, and several precautions must be taken by anyone attempting to travel around. A long lasting peace has been achieved after years of war, but as no treaty has been signed constant tensions keep everyone on their toes, with several outposts located all across the kingdoms to protect their borders. Esgalta, located in the middle of continent, has been under the rule of the Valerius dynasty, and poses the biggest military pressence througout the continent. In the arid southern region is Sadhal, a rich country where merchants thrive, but such riches bring trouble, as the Sadhal military is constantly busy fending off pirates who wish to steal the merchants hard earned coin. Kriegerheim to the northwest is located on what is known as the frozen throne, a dangerous mountain range covered in ice and snow, craddle to powerful warriors devoted to their god of war, Arlan. Bordering with Kriegerheim and Esgalta is Praekopis, famous for the scholars and engineers born there, their military may not be as strong, but their powerful contraptions make up for their lack of army. And lastly Phyris to the northeast, a small country with a dense forest surrounded by mystery, not much is known about the secrets lying deep in Phyris forest, and many legends are told of it. The story begins right after Esgalta declares war on the other four kingdoms, and with an unprecedented army conquered the continent in their war of unification, forming what is now known as the Esgaltian empire under emperor Beadurinc Valerius. This swift conquest hs brought economic problems and political strife to the continent, as numerous factions try to oppose their new rulers, the militaristic empire tightens it's iron grip on the rebels. A large number of people are constantly conscripted into service to fuel the empire needs of man power, for some this brings opportunity, and others just call it opression. One of such people is Vanhir, a young man with a troubled past joining the esgaltian army to find purpose, another gear on the ever moving clockwork of destiny, he is unaware of the role that destiny has chosen for him. This is the game we are working on, we want to tell a story, and we want you to be our audience. There will be adventure, betrayal, laughs and anger, on this story rich RPG. The game. As mentioned earlier, we want to keep the game as retro as possible, and even though we know how to make SBP, we have decided to exploit the RM2k3 turn based engine to the max. Here are some screens for the battle system: We are also trying to use the engine to the limit, by making use of parallaxing, to bring the most of our beloved mac & blue tilesets! And what is an adventure without puzzles? We are avid RPG players and know that players enjoy a challenge! And most importantly, we consider story the most important part of an RPG, we want to steer away from cliches and move on with lore, plot, subplot and character development, we aim to create memorable characters that no matter if they are protagonists or antagonists, one can sympathize with them. Credits Enterbrain and Kadokawa games for their engines and assets that make this project possible YouFulca (Wingless Seraph) for his great contribution to the music Lucius Blank (Me) Alejandro (My brother) We would love some feedback and ideas regarding our project, we will be releasing a Demo soon and we want to test the reception! Cheers!

House Robbing Simulator - READ DISC

STORY You are part of the mafia, but you want out. They will only let you leave if you pay them. You don't have enough money, so you are going to rob houses to get the money. Good luck. This is one if my first games I've made, and it was during a 2 and a half hour challenge, so expect some bugs such as but not limited to: leaving a house and ending up outside of a different house, not dying and instead being stuck in an endless loop of being oneshot until you restart the game, and more. It also has stock buildings and stock characters, but it has a mild charm to it. Might just be me though. Keep in mind it was made in 2 and a half hours so balancing is virtually nonexistent. The way to finish the game is to purchase a certification of freedom from the shopkeeper next to the starting weapon. Also, there's a secret that you can try to find if you want. (It's not hidden in a corner or something, playing the game you should just find it eventually.) Hope you enjoy i guess? -Credit to YanFly for the chasing plugin, and my friends for giving the idea of a 2 and a half hour game jam thing. 16. INTRODUCTION Hello! I'm Declan, the creator of Perpetual Chains. Like many people here, I grew up on the RPG games of the 90's/00's. It probably became a contributing factor to the career I landed in. I became an actor, touring all over Europe and eventually doing commercial voiceover. During that time I meddled in RPG Maker and had written this story while on the road. Eventually I realised I could bring the story to life. Using online auditioning pages such as BTVA and CCC I got a handful of capable people wanting to train in voiceover to voice my characters. In short, I give them experience and mentoring and in return they let me use their voice. Before I knew it, this little labour of love became bigger and bigger, and I've been told to share with people what I've got. Perpetual Chains follows all the things I enjoyed about RPG games in my childhood such as compelling storytelling, emotionally deep characters and addictive battle systems. As you probably can see, the mapping and main menu isn't unique as I am a bit of a novice as a designer and programmer. However I feel the work of my voice actors and the music kindly donated to the project really brings the story to life. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The main thing I want to find out is if it is actually something people want to play and learn more about the story and world. If successful I have the capability in making a complete version and hiring people to do the things I cannot. So if you want to get involved feel free to let me know. I look forward to hearing from you all... YOUTUBE PAGE LINK WITH VIDEOS OF GAMEPLAY. Neras is both feared and respected to the furthest reaches of the world. They preach the story of ‘Alpha, The God of Light’, and ‘Omega, The Beast of Darkness’. The teachings tell of the battle between the two sides and warned that a descendant of Omega would be born and lead the world to destruction. Only the sacrifice of their Goddess and the penance of the people would bring the world back to salvation. This cycle would repeat itself again and again for eternity. The story follows Cyrus, a trainee solider from the distant kingdom of Espova who bares the tragic fate of being the next descendant of Omega. It also follows Aria, Princess of Neras and next in line to the role of Goddess. Through a stroke of fate, their destinies become entwined as they journey the continent of Ecclesia to find the meaning behind the prophecy. CHARACTERS Cyrus Breeze – An orphan from a village in the kingdom of Espova. He has been trained from a young age to become a soldier, as is common place for the kingdom. It is also the tradition for the orphan to take the surname of the place where they were raised. A polite and likeable person, he found himself having a happy and carefree upbringing surrounded by friends. Until one day the mark on his arm starts to glow and the power of Omega is born within him. Cursed and feared, he runs from the world and those who would wish him destroyed. He seeks to find the meaning behind the curse. Aria Vita Lumen – Princess of Neras, Aria was born with great privilege and responsibility. However to many she is seen as the antithesis of royalty. Crude and impolite, she rejects the role she has been given. This lead to her mother sending her to the abbey to tutor Aria in the ways of nobility. Though on her return it proved somewhat ineffective. With her mother busy ruling the faith and having no other relatives, she feels there’s something missing from her life. One day, she hears a rumour that a member of her family might actually be alive so she seeks to leave her responsibilities and find something more fulfilling. Moulder Clay – An ex-mercenary and hero of Espova. Back during ‘The Gaia Wars’ he hoped to line his pockets. In the end, convinced by Troy, a soldier from Espova, Moulder helps his new ally in turning the tides of the war and freeing the kingdom. Exhausted from battle Moulder is convinced by Troy to look after the latter's home of Breeze Village. During the war he finds a boy on the battlefield in the arms of its dying mother and seeing the destruction that he was partly responsible for, he opens an orphanage and trains the children to become soldiers so they could make a life for themselves. Since the war, he refuses to use his sword and instead fights with his fists. Richard Breeze – A fellow orphan from the kingdom of Espova, Richard and Cyrus were best friends from childhood. Young and motivated they make a pact that they would see the world together. In many ways his focused and serious approach is the opposite Cyrus’ more relaxed personality. However deep down he bears a sadness which stems from watching the murder of his parents during ‘The Gaia Wars’ when he was only three years old. Richard doesn’t understand his emotions about this trauma and chooses to suppress them. Freya Blythe – Daughter of Troy, the hero of Espova. Her father saved the kingdom during ‘The Gaia Wars’. With her mother dying from childbirth her father struggles to show Freya affection and therefore sends her to the orphanage in Breeze Village to be brought up by his friend Moulder. Beautiful and intelligent, she becomes close to the orphans, particularly Cyrus and Richard. The three of them became inseparable and Freya sees the two as her family. Upon being summoned back to the castle she focuses on becoming a mage in order to put distance between herself and her father. Tiberius Germana – A travelling lothario from Trysus. Son of Edgar, the now deceased general of the kingdom. Since Trysus lost ‘The Gaia Wars’ they was severely punished by Neras and the royal family were executed. It was up to the Germana family to lead the kingdom through the troubled times. While his brother leads with dignity, Tiberius ran from his responsibility to experience the thrills of the world. Now short of money, he gets a stroke of good fortune. He bumps into Cyrus and hopes bringing a capable warrior to his brother will let him be welcome back with open arms. Lazarus Octavia – A trainee knight from Espova. The family of Octavia has been close to the royalty of Neras for centuries. As Aria and Lazarus are the same age they were put together so they would be become friends. In actual fact, with Aria being more outgoing, Lazarus quickly becomes overwhelmed by her personality and becomes much more timid and shy. Even though they were supposed to be friends, Aria treats him more like a slave, jokingly threatening to have him executed if he doesn’t do what she says. Over the years he’s effectively become a wimp and although a skilled warrior, is pushed into becoming a knight when he would rather stay at home. Despite all this, he cares for Aria and hates seeing her alone. Roland Cestus – A leading knight of Neras. He continues the family line in being a protector of the goddess. As one of the few people Queen Cecilia can trust he spends a lot of time with Princess Aria hoping to raise her not only to become a noble queen but to have her own mind. A relaxed and pleasant man, many of the nobles blame him for the way the princess has become. Due to pressure from his enemies in Neras he IS ordered to go on a holy journey known as 'Crusade' away from the capital. Before he goes, he hopes to protect Aria as much as possible from those who would wish to control her.

  18. As I said in a status update, today I added a second actor who was intended for puzzles and special dungeons. I wanted to talk a bit more about my ideas behind them and how they will work, but didn't want to ramble on my status for 50 pages like I often end up doing so... Hey, I haven't made a blog post thing in a while, here is a good excuse to! I have said before, but Dwimmerdelve is based a lot on the Mystery Dungeon series of Japanese roguelikes or other games in the same style. While I do plan to do my own little twists on the formula, I want to implement as many features from the series as I can. I think at this point most of the basic stuff has already been done, but I still have a ways to go. Anyway, a common feature of the series is to have a little puzzle/tutorial mode with hand designed puzzle maps, and special dungeons that the player basically need to complete from a fresh character (if the whole game isn't that way already). Both require the ability to "reset" the character. Now originally I had the game do this anyway after every death anyway except for any items the player kept in storage, which is the way Shiren the Wanderer handles things. But I decided that although all your carried items should still be lost and all the player's progress toward your next level, it was better to allow the player to keep their current level and skills and make level 1 challenge modes/dungeons for those who want a more classic hardcore experience. So I needed to think about how best to let the player keep their progress mostly safe even if their character is reset. I found it the easiest (for now anyway) to just have a second actor who more or less is an identical copy of the first who's status can be discarded and reset at the start of a run. I did come up with a kind of neat idea for how that would work in lore actually. I decided to make puzzles and such take place in a special dream world under my control, hence why the player can't bring anything and the player's character reverts to their 'natural' state. It's not really their body, but a 'dream pawn'. As a bonus it also gave me a more direct way to play with the player! After all, I abducted them to play, but I mostly ended up standing around in my house in game not doing much. Not anymore! Now I can play in their dreams! Even added a little cutscene that shows me casting a sleepy spell on them, and they wake up in bed after. That also gave me idea of calling the special level 1 dungeons "Nightmare Dungeons". I haven't made any yet, though I have a bunch of old bonus dungeon maps I made ages ago before I really started working on my game properly that might make some good ones. One of them was eventually changed into a normal dungeon, but some of them are a bit too weird to really fit in anywhere. Such as one being a sort of half lava cave half swamp and another being a sort of bathhouse with elevated walkways. Not sure if I should go with my original idea for them though. The way I designed them originally was they were all parts of one big dungeon, and one of the dungeon maps was a kind of 'hub' map with like 5 different exit teleporter places of different colors, each which would take you to a different map next floor, which would have an exit back to the hub. Each map had a completely different look and feel, but one thing they all shared was wrapping borders which could be disorienting unless you were looking at the minimap (wonder if I could make the minimap kinda scroll centered around the player and wrap around too, but eh, maybe later). Anyway, still have lots to do before i quite have everything working the way I want it too, but the basic idea seems to work pretty well!

  22. Heya folks, after playing games, watching movies, seeing animations, and reading stories, I've noticed there seems to be a fine line between what's acceptable for developing characters, and what isn't allowed. before continuing these points, I do want to mention that developing takes time, work, perseverance, and even error. In addition, character development is like an art, there are multiple ways to go about one method, much like the styles of shading. I've dealt with my fair share of delevoping characters, the list stretching to 177, and while I may start from a random part of my imagination, I will repeat that that this is not the only way, but could be one way that may help you in the processes. Let's start off with a name. For the purpose of examples, I'll be using my character Rilumia. Your character's name should have a reflection to the style of names your world has, whether it be Japanese, English, Scottish, some self-created language, and so on. You will also want to avoid repeating certain name aspects, as this can get the reader/player confused on name pronunciation. For example, I have two dragons by the name of Rea and Rei. The only major difference in the last letter. Rea is pronounced "Re-uh", while Rei is, well, "Re." This alone can be confusing as you try to remember what character has what name. In some cases, however, you're able to get away with this. Twins, siblings, family names, and how the family's language works are a few of possibly many exceptions. Names should also have a reason to them. Rilumia used to be a demon, thus she has a multi-syllable name that is akin to the race of demons of Scalvose. Your next step is possibly going to be determining what the character likes and dislikes, along with the personality. Rilumia absolutely adores animals, so you can feel a soft spot in the character's overall context as she grows throughout the story of the book, piece, or game. You will want to avoid basing likes off of other characters until you finish everything that the character likes on their own terms. Let's set up a small sheet below, so keep a bit of formatting while determining the character's development. Name: Rilumia Likes: Animals, the ocean breeze, flowers, food, and long walks through the forests. Dislikes: Blood, sickness, fighting, sour candies, silence. (Note: You don't have to place these in a sentence-like format. This is my style of setting these up.) When it comes to what a character likes and dislikes, or love and avidly hate, and so on, they do not have to be polar opposites. You can have a soft-hearted man who lacks a backbone love heavy metal just as much as a kid loves candy. If the character loves sour things, they don't have to hate sweet things. For every like, it adds to the character if you can provide a reason behind why they like something. Rilumia loves flowers because she can utilize them as a defensive measure when she's attacked, and the ocean breeze makes her feel unbound from other mundane tasks. She's a cook, so food is something she would enjoy. Walks through the forest allow her to see animals and plants, which increase her enjoyment down to the earth. The same goes for dislikes. Rilumia is a bit of a germaphobe, so she will definitely dislike getting sick or seeing blood, and while she isn't against injuring somebody to protect herself, if a fight is avoidable in any possible way, Rilumia will try to take that path. Disliking silence comes from her personality, which is our next subject. Personality: Sultry, gentle, adventurous, cunning, partially germaphobic, and slightly seductive. The character's personality has all rights to reflect their likes and dislikes, and don't let others say otherwise. You know your character more than the next guy down the street, so you ned to convey the reasons behind their personality. In addition, personalities can't be abstract, as they must be reflected in each word of the character in some way. However, you don't need to reflect every personality aspect in one line or word all the time. Sometimes the character can have enough mentality to know when to be mature and push their own feelings aside for a while. Or, like my character Darkness, can be complete morons and not understand much of what goes on around him, other than when he's hit for being perverted or making crude jokes. Their personality needs to exsist. Rilumia loves poking her nose towards the winds of a journey, and while she may be bothered by germs and the like, she's gentle and rarely shows her disgust. Though she doesn't mean to be, she has a seductive tone to her words sometimes, which irks others. Otherwise, being sultry, she has a passionate heart and to some, she does rather attract them. Blessings: Quick to protect those in need, Green thumb. Banes: Body scales are soft and fragile, very energetic. (Note: These can be called pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses, and so on.) Lastly, I want to talk about blessings and banes. These are things that the character excells and fully fails at, regardless of how strange they may be. Rilumia, once she fell in love with a dragon's scale, it eventually lead to her falling in love with the dragon, himself. Demon blood is severly malleable in terms of race, and thus her body started to slowly corrupt, or change into that of a dragon. She doesn't know if she still has enough demon blood in her to continue being changed, but she doesn't really care too much as it opened many new paths of life for her, whether in the form of strength, endurance, smell, and the list goes on. However, her true self is still present in her mind, which gives her a constant questioning on what has happened to her as time has gone. In term of the change, her scales are as soft as velvet, and can easily be removed like a bird feather. However, this doesn't stop her from being quick to shield blows aimed at innocent people. On the downside, the amount of energy in her body tends to keep her up at night a lot, forcing her to try and find ways to calm herself to sleep, like reading, seditives, and the old attempts of drinking warm milk. This is a basic outline to get started on fleshing out your characters, which I hope helps you all in need of it. If you have any questions, comments, or feel as if I misstated a part, please leave a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
  23. Of course, there has to be one on the forums. Introduction This is a simple counting game, with tiny little bit of RPG elements. The number represents our experience. Rules Rules are obviously simple Post a number higher by one than in the previous post. We start with level 0 and we will be leveling up for every 100 experience (posts). Random chatting in meanwhile is allowed, though keep the messages relatively short. Do not double post, unless the thread was inactive for 72 hours (three days). If someone double posts too soon, ignore the next messages of that user, as these will be merged. That's all, so let's start! 1

  25. Since I can no longer promote it on the QT through my signature, I am just going to put it on the table. This is it, folks. This is what I’m here for. I am doing other projects for experience in the meantime. It might sound pretentious, but this is my love letter to vintage RPGs, Square, and the RM community as a whole, including Enterbrain and ASCII. It’s all the muse it filled me up with since my childhood, carefully distilled to create a single story. Deep down, at its core, Overworld is an intergalactic love story that focuses on three special characters who are all part of the same interstellar legacy. I slapped together some lore on the spot. Did the best I could, but it has layers that are just hard to properly set up all at once. The game narrative would cover it all and much more. LORE Long ago, the Denizens set forth into space. Orphans from a dead, forgotten planet in search of a new home. They discovered Tri World. A special planet comprised of three layers. Overworld, the surface and waters of the planet. Underworld, the hellscape beneath the surface of the planet. And Skyworld, an invisible paradise above the cloud canopies of the sky. They knew their arrival would be far too sudden and abrupt to promise a healthy, stable development of their relationship. Furthermore, they knew that they would never be the ones to live here. Instead of an occupation or invasion, they covertly collected DNA from the major races of Tri World and mixed it with some of their own, creating a male and female subject to carry their legacy, and in time, rule the planet with the people's support (this never comes up in our story, it was just a premise for why they are created). They would represent complete union, and contain the best of all races. This pair of souls was unlike any other in existence, containing mystical properties that entwine them together throughout time and space. When they die, they are reincarnated into new bodies birthed from random women all around Overworld. These souls are drawn to one another like magnets. Regardless of conditions, they always reunite, fall in love, and die together. Offspring were never able to be produced, and whilst waiting over generations, something went horribly wrong. A female subject killed her male partner in an act of premeditated murder. The connect was severed, and no male was born again, breaking the line. The Denizens population has withered away to one family. Desperate to fix the problem, they create a male clone at the moment of a new female’s birth, and send it down to Overworld. Backstory (Revealed later in game) Leeson is discovered on a shoreline by a fisherman and raised as a human boy. His green hair was unusual, so the fisherman’s wife routinely dyed it black. Leeson became a soldier and fought as a rebel in the Imperial war, but was inevitably drawn to his counterpart, who didn’t seem to be drawn to him because he couldn’t seem to find her. His search leads him to the legendary rebel frigate, Corsair. Leeson becomes a trusted ally of Captain Siegfried Blackheart (see my avi for reference), and his first mate, Rico Cortez. Several years later: Leeson is still searching for his partner, but unbeknownst to him, she dies prematurely of illness. The last Denizens, now much older, make one last attempt to make things right. Another clone is sent down. . . (Game Begins) Leeson is drawn to a shoreline whilst at port, and discovers a baby boy with green hair wrapped in a swaddle. Rico Cortez takes the boy as his own, naming him Xander Cortez. He grows up alongside Rico’s kids, Rio and Mia Cortez, and their friend, Leon Blackheart. Introduction The player will spend some time as Xander, Leon, Mia, and Rio as children, Rio being a pre-teen. You have a room on the Corsair you can decorate a little bit. The kids end up shadowing Siegfried, Rico and Leeson against instructions, so there is some dialogue and play as children. Seigfreid meets with another Captain and Imperials ambush the scene. Everyone is separated. The exact scene has had 3 different settings from a wharf to a warehouse to another ship, but: Rico is struck down, Siegfried is killed, Leon emerges, exposing the kids and throws a grenado that creates even more chaos, Leeson ushers Leon out of there, Rio storms the Imperials and is taken by them, Mia runs and Xander follows her. They reach the Corsair to find it being seized by the enemy. Xander steps up and gets Mia out of there. 13 years later: The player is now assuming the role of Xander and Mia, living in a quiet walled city in a far western nation still neutral in the war. They work as light weight Mercenaries for a local contractor. They take the soft jobs none of the other mercs want to do, and the pay reflects it. After a few jobs and some development, a new job will cross their paths with a pair of familiar faces. . . Leon and Leeson. Shortly after the player gets reunited with the Corsair, and find their room is exactly as they left it. It’s not long before life on the Corsair brings them close enough to Imperials to meet Xander’s counterpart, Fera. She's a devout knight serving in the Imperial Infantry. Fate will bind their spirits and send them across all three layers of Tri World on a quest to save it from certain destruction at the hands of the Emperor’s latest and greatest weapon, Rio Cortez. He has been broken and manipulated by his captors, and now leads a vicious conquest to speed up the Emperor’s plans for world domination. You meet plenty of other characters, such as Vega Numera, a young, gifted inventor from the slums of Machine City, who is forced to collect scrap for his underprivileged family. GAMEPLAY I don’t have a fancy section prepared, but I aim to swing for the fences whilst keeping things appropriately neat and trimmed. Very open to input and co-development. The world and setting is supposed to be very endearing, rich with character, texture and lore. The one major thing I have developed for it is the crafting system, particularly the Invention category. Vega can build a Death Bot, a secret character, as one of the notable perks. The Corsair will also play a bigger role in gameplay than most ships. I was thinking Falcao’s tools system could be used to have live action world map battles whilst navigating the waters. That’s all for now. I may add stuff later.
