  2. For my game, I've been using a mish-mosh of tilesets (mostly Celianna's brillancy, with some RTP stuff thrown in as well) and working on the maps for the main town. These three are my favorites (so far) that I've made. I really just want some feedback on what I'm doing right, what I'm doing wrong, what I should improve on or get rid of entirely, etc. Any CC would be appreciated!

  4. Hello everybody. I wanted to show you some work in progress screenshots regarding my new project, Urban Fantasy. A game which features magic in an urban environment. The game is in an evaluation phase, I hope to have soon enough work done to successfully start a kickstarter thanks to the company I work for. Battle System As you can see I changed the original Galv system with the Battle Symphony Sys, looking for more customization. I'd like to know what do you think about the battlebacks. About gameplay, well, I just have thought of some parallax mapping.   5. I have been working on the tilesets to make the game look old and in black and white, but I am not sure if it looks good enough or even okay. I am working on the clothes shop things, so I need to know before I go further on the project. I am not sure if the places look empty or with to many things, since it is a modern days style game, I have to paint a lot. I will appreciate honest feedback and critics since this is the first time I do something like this.
  6. For the longest time, I’ve been taking screenshots (and more recently, videos) with window borders. What I mean is this: Notice how it shows the border and title. This is undesirable for me when I’m taking screenshots. It just isn’t clean. In this tutorial I will show you a way to get rid of it easily without having to edit it out separately. There is a script called Fullscreen++ written by Zeus81, which provides a number of useful window-related functions for the game player itself. The function that I’m interested in is the ability to hide the window border, which the script uses to emulate full-screen mode. You can get an add-on that achieves this here. By using these scripts, you can hide the border and the title of the game window by pressing F8, which results in something like this: Now you can hit alt+prnt scrn to capture your game window, and use window-based video capture without having to worry about the border/title. One problem with borderless mode is that you can’t move the window around. Simply press F8 again to show the borders again and re-position your window as needed. Summary If you find yourself using an image or video editor to remove the border and title from the game, it might be useful to just hide it before working with it. (originally posted at HimeWorks)

  9. Hopefully the link works! So I have these pictures which I am happy with the first 3 overall. The 4th image is supposed to be an oasis town, and it feels real lacking to me. I have yet to put people in the towns yet and some doors which aren't there are evented doors so they don't display on screenshots. The last 4 images are pretty bad and I'm not sure if they can recover without re-doing them. What are your opinions the maps? How can I improve/fix them or am I better off re-doing some of them? Hopefully I am allowed to post something like this here, but I also have a request for someone good at mapping to re-do the last 4 dungeons Basically one is an oasis/mountain dungeon and the other 3 are 1 big dungeon which is in a mining cave with lots of foliage (early maps, didn't do good at all at this.   10. So far the only areas mapped out are the two floors of the main character's house. Tiles used are a combination of RTP, RTP-edits and "Futuristic Tiles" DLC(from the Humble Bundle and edited by me). Sprites used are a combination of RTP, RTP-edits, "Futuristic Tiles" DLC(from the Humble Bundle and edited by me), Allusion's(edited by me), and Cait's(both original and edited by me). Iconset used is from the "IMFT-Scifi-Resources" that I got from the "Humble Bundle" with some new icons that I added to it. All "Pictures" are originals by me. The office features laptops and lamps that turn on and off(all lamps in the house function similarly). Unfortunately I haven't yet figured out how to use and configure lighting effects so the lamp's actual area of effect is restricted to the tiles the sprites cover. The water in sinks works, you can turn the faucets on and off. The house has many things you can interact with, and a few items to acquire. The second floor, while much smaller, is nearly as interactive. Exploring Great-grandpa's study and finding the spellbook: A map of the east side of the park near the main character's home. The area with the water fountains is a "splashpad" that is animated with the fountains going off in a pattern and the well on the small island in the lake is the access to a cave with a small maze containing chests with some healing items and other such things. No NPCs have been added yet. There will be a bunch of kids running around and so on later. A cave with a small maze containing chests with some healing items and other such things.     I've spent the last few days working on my first maps. This game will show you how a young squire dreamed of unknown places and people that keeps telling him of something that he cannot understand, things that are beyond his control, and things that sooner will become a reality that will change not only his destiny but the fate of the world. Raine - Main hero of the story, a very loving son to his mother and an aspiring squire to become a great knight. He have the Intelligence and the skills, but he is a bit childish. He's sword skills are exceptional because he learned it from his late father, a great samurai that once hailed as the great knight of their town. Rohan - Raine's best friend and also a exceptional squire, he is Raine's partner in everything, they study together, they fight together. Hes not a good swordsman, but he's magical skills are superior to everyone in their land. Shekinah - A mysterious girl that will join them. ( I will not show her bio since it will spoil the story) Enemies and bosses will not be included here, since they are all part of the revelation in game (Story) Yanfly + Dr.Yami scripts = Symphony (Can be used for commercial and non-commercial games) Thank you so much from the scripts that you donated in the forum, I customized it a little to fit my game. The scripts are working great. Side view Battle System + Animated characters. Enterbrain = For creating such a wonderful engine and thank you also for the default sprites that I edited to move, without your sprites, there will be no monsters in my game. Also, thank you for the very customizable game engine. Holders - Eventhough, I did not use his sprites, It gave me ideas on how to create sprites from scratch, it gave me idea on how I can animate the sprites. So thanks to your skills, I have made mine by myself. Aside from those person above, there are no other scripts and sprites that helped me, I created everything from scratch, even the fogs, lamp lights and sun rays from adobe Photoshop. I also do some script editing and so much eventing so thanks to me. Maybe they will feel lost in some maps, not just because of map being too huge, but also because of some tricks, that I will show in-game. And I do not know if you can call this feature but uhm, I am currently working on 132 maps, Interior, Exterior and Dungeon. :wacko: I'm sure your asking why that huge, well the story is really long. So many twist, so many surprises. Oh, by the way, if you find my mapping skills awful, please spare me, haha, I am a bit new in rpg maker vx ace. I've been a member of the forums since 2012, but I started developing in this engine just 2 weeks back. Hehe. Please teach me anything, or just give me some few helpful tips that can make this game, a good one.

    Erias Line - screenshots

    Hi, posting these for any thoughts or opinions passers-by might have. The game is called Erias Line and there'll be a demo in a few weeks. All the backgrounds, sprites, battlebacks, battlers and incidentals are by me (in Photoshop). The PCs and enemies are animated alike (tres time consuming) - I'm putting the OST together now too. Comments, questions, interest, criticism welcome. Tah all, (perspective here is a bit screwy, I'm working on the fix) Battle's End (the base image for a train that will feature heavily in the demo)
