This is Yär Kalden Nihyla - Eksoduz, a little spaceship-economy simulation with turn-based ship battles & pseudo-CGA graphics. I crafted almost anything in the game by myself, including graphics & music. I was inspired by Organ Trail, Faster Than Light, Dune, StrarCraft & Dark Souls. The world is based on a Sci-Fi novel by me. The music is a mixture of Minimal House, Black Metal & Breakbeat. You are the captain of a space-ship & must reach a worm hole at the other side of the solar system to embark for a better world without the Mondra scourge. What plans does the Emperor scheme? Is it a religious mission? Or something political or personal? Either way, you don't want to disappoint Edzel II.. Races: You can play as three races. The Sechtim/ Humans: Humans are an evil, aggressive race that only lives to gain profit & they don't know higher virtues than exploiting ressources. As legend has it Humans descent from a remote industrial world called "Earth". They arrived in the Kouray system 200 years ago. The Human society is a complex caste system of genetically modified subraces like the mining class Polugon, or their deadly Tenpoulon knights. To compensate their inferiority in population & labor power, they created the psychic android slaves called Hukkyko. The Sechtim Empire, the federation of mankind, has come to conquer the Kouray system & gain power over the other highly developed races. The new homeworld of mankind & the Sechtim Empire is the dismal mining colony Edemya. The Parjaaki: Parjaaki are close to nature living cyclops, who value honor & bravery the most. Their homeplanet Tsudemii is a cold desert of ice but a profitable source of Sularmyt ore. Because of the imperialist nature of both Humans & Ifevla the once antagonized Parjaaki clans have put their arguments aside to form a mighty Union against the other races in the system. The Ifevla: Ifevla are proud mercenary giants, who are highly psychic & excellent merchants. Their capital planet is Taurunukkaha, a water world with almost no valuable ressources. The lack of natural goods in their home world forced them to develop extrasensory manipulative skills. Mind tricks they use to exploit trading partners & to enslave other races like the Naydosu. They worship a mysterious, arcane religion, nobody who isn't an Ifevla is able to understand. The Ifevla are all citizens of a covenant, a loose (almost failed) federal state, but tend to pledge more loyalty to their numerous guilds. And there are various other races you come across your journey. The Hukkyko androids, the Imgopi & the Naydosu. VX Ace – In Progress, Science fiction, pearl ABS, Space Exploration, Non-Linear elation Abstract: Explore the solar system. After many successful missions for the United Federation of Planets, Grain has taken off his wings hoping to transition into a peaceful desk job in a far off sector of the gamma quadrant. After weeks of decrypting and analyzing incoming transmissions He starts to compile disrupted and scrambled distress calls from all over the quadrant. After many failed attempts to reach the federation, Grain realizes something has gone wrong. With the rank of Admiral and no one to answer to Grain decides to investigate the quadrant while continuing to transmit his telemetry to an all but responsive Federation Headquarters. So I've writing a book lately, set in a science fiction world full of colorful lights, Digital Gods and anarchy. And I thought...This would make a good roleplay universe! Before reading further, know that this is just a concept. I'm looking to see if anybody would be interested in a roleplay universe based on things like Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. So...without further ado, let me introduce my idea... Mojiretsu no kami (Gods on Strings) This world is based in a far, far future world. Humanity has spread throughout the galaxy by use of a machine called a zero-point energy field (aka warp drive). This story is set in the early 8240's, when mankind has more or less completely saturated the universe with their civilization. So what's all the rage in this universe? Easy. Gods. What's an God? Well, its more of a digital species of alien than anything. A God is an artificial intelligence that is completely independent of its first servers and lives in the digital world (AKA in the Strings), moving from one device to the other via Atomnet (internet 2.0). A God can either be god-like in its power or just an independent program, depending on the way it came to be. Besides Gods, there is a lot more to cover. In the actual world (The wires in God terms) Humans are neurologically integrated to Atomnet by this age. This means much of their thoughts are on the cloud. They store memories, access information and even do their jobs over Atomnet. However, this isn't all good for them. Hacking into other's implants and stealing information, or even shutting down people is a huge threat to public safety. It's not an uncommon event for somebody to simply drop dead in the middle of the street. Moving on, there are machines, machines machines. Machines are relatively intelligent by this time. Your computer quite literally has the power of independent thought. Often machines can talk or communicate to their owners. However, they are often too stupid to ask real questions or engage in deep thought. That is what separates them from Gods. Finally, the last thing to cover before going into technical stuff is gene-figures. Gene-figures are creatures created by genetic manipulation of human DNA. Often these creatures do not look human, but keep human features. Gene-figures are few and far between, but most of the time they know who's who in their little bubble. They mostly keep out of the way of the populace, and are usually the quickest to associate themselves with Gods. Now, to the technical things. Playable races are: - Chipped Human (any nationality): Chipped Humans are the majority of living beings in the universe. They are connected to Atomnet via neural implants, and are able to use their own mind to interface with computers, machines, etc. Strengths: Able to instantly access Atomnet and manipulate the world around them, to an extent. Weaknesses: Able to be hacked by other humans, Gene-figures, etc. - Pure Human (any nationality): Pure humans are rare. They have little to no implants, and must rely on the old fashioned methods to interact with technology. They also are much safer, as they can rely on computers with much stronger malware protection than the delicate ties to Atomnet that Chipped Humans must maintain. Strengths: Not able to be hacked into (this is a big strength). Weaknesses: unable to instantly use technology and manipulate the world. -Gene-figure : Gene-figures are very few and mostly feared by the populace as monsters. They are known to be either hostile or tense with humans, as humans are completely alien to them. They all are different, and are all from different backgrounds. One could be the product of a science firm, for instance, and another could be a human who had attempted and failed genetic augmentation. Strengths: Usually stronger, faster, etc than the average human, has strong ties to the Gene-figure community Weaknesses: Feared and hated by the public, most likely incompatible with neural implants -God : A God is an AI who is as intelligent a regular human, and goes from device to device via Atomnet, instead of having a physical body. Gods are mostly unknown by the public, and are considered enemies of the peace when they are. Gods usually correspond with Gene-figures, as they are outcasts as well. Strengths: Very hard to destroy, can move through the digital world (in the strings) with ease. Weaknesses: Has no physical body, cannot go where there is no computer technology (unless they have control of a robotic body, but that's rare). So...that's more or less it for now. If you think this would be a good concept, than feel free to tell me. If you don't, give me a good reason. -
I have an idea but no idea how to carry it out. I would make one main map that would represent all of the different systems in a singular galaxy. you go around fighting different battles in separate systems to gain funds which you use to upgrade & repair your armada. the tricky thing is going to be having the out-of -battle icon to be the symbol of the planets then the in- battle image is the two opposing armadas. comment with some tips and ideas. There are more original character’s, I just have not put them in the game yet. The following contains a big number series I’ll be using for the Super Route only, as I am yet to finish the Real Route. I will add unit’s from the real route, once I've done the main plot of the real route. (I don’t want to say you can play with these characters, when they aren't in the game yet.) There are hidden series, for you to discover. They will be featured during the combined route. I will not be providing a summary for these reasons. A) You know the anime and character’s - Giving you a description would be pointless You don’t know the anime and character’s - Then why would you read/care about a description. This Game is based off Super Robot Wars Neo for the Wii and OE for the PSP. I will try and bring all the features from those two games into this one. Along with RPG adventure elements. This is a Solo Project; however I had taken resource’s from various different places. Credits are subjected to change due to me no longer having any need of it. Stuff here subject to changed, when stuff happens. Recruitment: A Die Hard Anime Fan - to make sure I got all the character’s in character. An Artist - for all sprites, pictures and animation’s for all units. A Mapper - to make the areas of the game, Such as all the Space levels A Spell Checker - to read over and correct my witting A translator - to make sure I got line’s from Geppy-X correct. (I’m just making the Geppy-X lines.) I am currently using the RPG marker sprites, which doesn’t give the mech’s proper justice. As seen with the screenshot’s. So here's a quick question; what would one need in order to survive in space? Just been thinking a lot lately and was pondering over what exactly a space survival/adventure game would need to be interesting. I thought a few points like the ones below would make for an interesting game: Basic survival meters; like Hunger, Thirst, Oxygen and so on Crafting System to help with the whole 'staying alive' thing. A decent, driven story line (pretty necessary as I wouldn't want to design a true sandbox game in Ace!) But then I was trying to come up with materials and other game details that would be necessary and make for an exciting game in Ace. What kinds of things do you think would fit well into a space survival/adventure game? I was thinking gathering resources like Minecraft, a relatively linear story, maybe jumping from point to point like Fire Emblem games, and keeping up with your ship and crew, maybe something along the lines of FTL. I don't know! I'm just throwing that out there. Would love to hear fun ideas!
