I'm not really sure where this goes, since I'm not actually asking for "support" for an existing script, but I just need something (like an add-on or any other script that does the desired thing) that is compatible with the battle script I'm using. But although if this thread doesn't belongs here; please kindly move it. So on to the request... I'm using Yanfly's visual battlers, which provides visual for our characters (actors), it uses the characters' sprites in the battle that is animated (like when it's walking) but simple; it moves forward when acting and goes back when finished. For the enemies, it is unlike the actors - it uses battlers instead of sprites, and it is not even animated; just only moves forward and backward when acting. So what I need is, the same for my enemies too - I want to use sprites instead of battlers, that is also animated just like the actors. I've searched for this everywhere, some gives add-ons and stuff that provides the ability to use Holder's battlers graphics which are animated but it's not what I need. Thanks for any help!

I hope I placed this in the right section. I was thinking about using the Victor's Visual Equip for my game, but realized before I downloaded it that I'm working with different sprite sizes. I'm using the sprites from Looseleaf in the Game Character Hub for humans and elves, and the sprites for VX Ace for halflings. I had to custom make my own sprite for dwarfs because I did not like the one in the Game Character Hub. I eventually intend to custom create sprite sheets for cat, dog, and bird folk and a playable Minotaur race. Will Visual Equip recognize that I have different sprite sizes if I upload the sheets necessary that correlate to those appropriate sizes or is it for a one size sprite only? I was curious because I saw in all of the photos that its just the sprites for VXAce.

Heya, guys! Raven here! I do a fair bit of Pixel Art and I've made this topic to share my work with y'all~ I typically work with minimal colors. I started with black and white and I've since started dabbling with mixing in more colors, but I rarely dabble with more than two colors. It is an art style that I feel I excel at and I have been honing it. Lately, I have been working on a game by the name of DungeonBound that uses the Gameboy green palette which limits you to four colors. For starters here, I will share art that I've made for that game. This is the trinity and their avatar(a fusion of the three members.) This is Envy. A demon that is treated as lesser and thus tries to emulate others to poor results. These are all of the demons that I have designed thus far(excluding lust.) Gluttony -- A demon with a mighty appetite who will demand a chunk of your food. Miasma, the Plague Bringer -- A demon who will shower you with deadly diseases should you not satisfy his requests. Envy -- ^ This is Lust! A dangerous demon who will seek embrace from your party members. If any of your party members are dead, she will mess with your stuff. WARNING: The following image contains some risque imagery. This is my newly designed over world system. The old one was kind of meh. Each of the three zones in the game will have randomized maps, so this is one of five possible maps for the (first)area. Hope you enjoy~

Hi there! So, I was wondering if anyone could make me diagonal sprites for the party members in my game, Rachel's Adventures. I have no idea how to do them myself, but I saw this script: http://himeworks.com/2014/11/eight-directional-movement/ and I reaaally want to use them! Here are the 5 main characters: Anna: Callie: Lucy: Rachel: Zoey: I know it's a lot to make 5 diagonal sprites, but I really hope someone will be able to help me with this. If you need more info, reply to this topic or shoot me a PM! If you fulfill this request, please make sure to tell me your terms of use Any and all help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

It's been a while since I've used Game Maker. Got distracted from it by rm competitions and whatnot. Anyway back then I was starting out with spriting and decided to try my hand at making a walking and jumping animation cycle. I sort of succeded (given my limited skills) but I was never able to implement it into GM. At first, I tried to follow a tutorial. But that tutorial used a simpler sprite sheet than I did. I thought my basic knowledge of GML would allow me to fill in the gaps. I modified...and then modified some more and ended up with a spaghetti of code that I could not make neither heads nor tails of. The movement I wanted to implement was idle, run and jump, both to left and right, obviously. Using this godawful sprite. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9bde8p4fy7g28rj/images.rar?dl=0 I'll post the me mess of Game Maker code I used, but mostly for the lulz. Truth is, this doesn't work: don't try this at home, kids. Create event: Step event: There might even be some extra code no longer being used belonging to the tutorial. Any help or support on how to even start doing this would be greatly appreciated. My undertanding on coding language is ugh.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and forum. My name is Omar and I'm studying to be a web developer. I'm working on a big project for my class - a typing-based fighting game using very simple sprite animation. I was wondering if any sprite artists had some sprites that I could use for my game? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm working on a little S.T.A.L.K.E.R. related project and I'd need some graphics. My main concern is obtaining a tilesets that reminds of the radioactive zone of Chernobyl (so greyish grass, nuclear reactors, barrel of radioactive waste and destroyed rural houses). If possible i'd like to have a character sprite (RPG VX ACE format) of an anonymous guy with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing an adidas tracksuit. Finally I'd need some sprites of characters from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, namely the bandits. I've put some pictures for reference. Thanks ahead for your time!

I'm working on a fangame and I'm wondering if the style of the two portraits wouldn't seem too contrasting with each other. EDIT: Updated Graphic I was obviously working on Mark on a bigger resolution and crack-drew Cry's portrait. Does it seem out of place or shall I try refining Cry's to the same level as Mark's? It took me ages to draw Markimoo. )

Hi! ( ^..^)ノ I'm making a request after a long time. :3 Also, I'm not really sure if it goes here though, so just in case; please forgive me. ^^' I've somehow messed with the character generator files of VX Ace, and also lost the backup. But I now I want the real files back... So I'd like someone to upload the original (not altered) folder of generator's files, both faces and sprites. It would be great if anyone is willing to help! Thanks for your time. (=´∇`=)

Hey Everyone! I am working on a rune factory fan game, mostly for my parents, who are fans of the series and was disappointed by the series ending, due to neverland LTD going out of business. I have a good solid story built for the game and the game world, as well as many of it's characters written out and I have started to put the game together. Now, that being said, there are still many things I need, and could definitely use help with, such as scripting, spriting, map design, music, and so on. I am looking for a team of willing fans and help to help get the project rolling, and I am willing to pay for the help I receive, which I can now do now that I have a job. Anyone willing to work with me on this project, please contact me so that we can get down to it. I may have a spriter lined up, but it may be a while before he can help me out. So don't hesitate to ask me if a position is free.

I've been searching with no real success for good clothing packs for my sprites. It seems like the only clothing I can find looks bunchy and thick, which is fine most of the time, but I've got a few characters that I want to have a sleeker look- vests, tighter clothing, skirts, and dresses that didn't make females look a few months pregnant, nudes that aren't just porn, things like that are what I need. I have been using the Character Creator Studio VX, so pieces that I could just import into that and mix and match bits would be ideal, but I'll really use any method to get my peoples looking the way I want. Also, why doesn't the Character Creator Studio VX have brown hair? If anyone has recolors of their hairs, or a different horde of hairs, that would be super helpful. I tried recoloring and editing some of the existing stuff, but apparently I have 0 artistic talent. Thanks in advance.

charset Fire Emblem: Fates Corrin Character Sprite (With Pictures) And Sword Icon Request
Kirimash posted a topic in Requests - Archives
I would like to request a sprite for the male and female version of Corrin, a character and the avatar in Fire Emblem: Fates, as well as the swords they both use. Male Corrin: Female Corrin: Thanks in advance. -
Ehm, don't know if that's the actual word to describe it...my english isn't good enough But here is the technical idea It's basically a Babel's tower with just 4 different floors the first one, touching the desert, is the poor district, it's a dusty agglomerate of small houses, usually attacked by bandits, the predominants colors are the ''desert orange'' and the ''desert yellow'' with an elevator you'll be able to reach the second floor, the largest of the 3 where the life is chill and the predominants colors are the same as the first one but lighter, also there is a giant ing arena and a church with a tower (you know.. If you want to be precise....) After the next elevator, you'll be on the third floor the classiest stuff, just a few estates and a cool garden. The colors are grey and red (for roofs and stuff like that) last one (goddamit all this will be so hard and I will die alone) Just a castle... yup, you can use the vanilla one I know this will be a little hard, But really, If you can make this, you probably should start getting payed it's a really big image Don't know if it will fit in a 64x64 box I know, my english is really hard to understand but luckly a friend of mine tried (pretty badly but it, it's free) to sketch the job for you this is so un-professional...

I wished to recolour the eyes on these emotion facesets of an RTP actor from green to brown. I've tried to do it on MS Paint and Pixlr and it looked fairly awful. I downloaded GIMP and struggle to navigate it. I'd appreciate if anyone has done this already to share their work T'would be greatly appreciated! Currently I have given up and am rocking the green. I'm making a game for my irl partner to play through, but I lack the artistic prowess to make us myself, so I'm forced to convert RTP sprites and whatnot Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Check for Bitmap Color / Transparency
Rikifive posted a topic in Ruby School for Thought
The Question I'd like to ask if it's possible to make a conditional, that will check if the sprite's bitmap contains a certain color / transparency. What's The Deal? I'm working with hitboxes very often ~ to detect collision and stuff between two objects and I'm simply setting it by using their 'x' & 'y' positions, width and height, but it allows me to create square-y shapes. Working with circles or even worse - with complex-shaped objects is kinda problematic. ~ I'd like to detect where the sprite is transparent thus set the hitbox more accurately. What do I have? Let's pick two square-y objects ~ for example a player and enemy. I have two different sprites and to detect their collision, I'm adding stuff to the update method. def update_collision # this method is put in the 'update' method if player_hit?(@enemy) # EXPLOSION AND STUFF ~ end end # @enemy is the second object, that the first one is going to 'crash' into #----------------------------------------------------------------------------- # >>> Check HitBox #----------------------------------------------------------------------------- def player_hit?(object=nil,x=0,y=0,w=0,h=0) if object != nil x = object.x y = object.y w = object.width h = object.height end if @player.x.between?(x, x + w) && @player.y.between?(y, y + h) # I actually took that from my cursors ~ it simply checks if the (0,0) position # of the player's cursor is on the object (from 0/0 to its width/height) return true end return false end For advanced shapes I'd have to use complex maths or for example simply determine hit-points like (0,10) && (2,5) && (4,0), which would determine more or less the hitbox of this mark: / A Better Way? So my question is: Can I check for the transparency and exclude these points in the hitbox without thinking of complex maths or creating a wall of text of positions and stuff? Any ideas and/or suggestions? "Thank You" Message Thank you! -
I'm needing some downed sprites for my project, but there aren't any downed ds sprites available, so I tried to make my own. Take a look at my first atrocities, I mean attempts: Maybe I would be better off asking an actual spriter for help. Still any advise would be appreciated. (the one in the middle is a default ds sprite to show off what I'm trying to base my "work" on)
