Abstract: The Epic hybrid of the main mechanics of the Dungeon-crawler and Battle-royale games, united in dynamic single-player fantasy adventure in a dark fantasy setting. Genre: ActionRPG, Dungeon-Crawler, Battle-Royale, Survival Game Progression: The game is fully completed Recruitment: None Story / Setting / Purpose: Here is not a much of a story, the purpose is to escape the Labyrinth with as much loot as you could take. And like other battle royale games - faster than your opponents. Time for each of the stages is limited and opponents are aggressive. The one who escapes - wins and saves his life, getting one of a few endings. The setting is Nordic Dark fantasy. Character Bios: There are no main characters except the player with undefined behavior. Features: 1. Huge and diverse map - the Labyrinth. Some say it is so enormous - that the character could die 99 times before reaches all of its' rooms. 20 times from mobs, 30 from other players, 40 from hunger or thirst, and 9 - from the old age. All we know - it definitely would be fun and surprising anyway. 2. Custom character that could belong to one of 4 classes. Each with its own difficulty and preferable game style, for real (because they are actually all the same when it is about weapon type effectiveness. The differences is much more interesting). 3. Abstract: Its an untypical role-playing story-adventure in the culture-oriented cold-blooded setting that has an emphasis on non-hardcore&still fun realism and has multiple original endings during all story through. Genre: ActionRPG, Adventure, Survival , Story with multi-endings Game Progression: The game is fully completed Recruitment: None Story / Setting / Purpose: *Describe the story and setting of your game in as much detail as possible. *If your game does not feature a traditional story or setting, then explain the premise behind the game and the goals the player must achieve. The story is about humans, about the strong one and a weak one and also about decisions. Some decisions could be made by the player but some others - by the strong ones and player could only deal with its consequences. The game has the Gothic-like dark fantasy setting, full of diverse people that represented specific guilds, cultures, businesses. The purpose is all about joining undefined yet story with the main character that is just facing the consequences of the others' decisions at the start but then - starting to write a story by himself. All this happens in the setting, full of humans of specific culture and behavior, doing different things in some certain way but each of it - at last is all about the same - the money and goods for them. Character Bios: There are no main characters except the player with undefined behavior. Features: 1. Action fighting system. Scrolls, range' and melee' weapon types included (about 50 overall) 2. Hunger-thirst-rest system. It cares that you don't think your character is a biorobot. There are also 2 hidden characteristics that fully depends on the player's decisions. 3. Crafting system. Its Gothic like and comprises food and weapon crafting. 4. Multiple story endings. According to the game designer, you have the main character's purpose and the obvious way to achieve it. Like you usually do. But this time you are the mind controller here, so who says the story must end one way? Studio's game designer envisaged it. 5.Kind of open world. Locations here as well as its inhabitants are part of the setting and you are the only one who can make them part of the story. So walk freely, there is gameplay besides the story. Here's my new project : Prism+ Virus ã€ãƒ—リズム+ ウイルス】 (The "+" isn't pronounced and is just inserted for aestheticism.) Prism+ Virus will be a survival , sci-fi visual novel . Synopsis : In this present time , anyone who is brought to life has to be implanted with a "Prism" in a region nearby the brain . This governmental device is meant to oversee criminality , prevent any cardiac or celebral disease , to be a replacement for ID cards , and can even be used as an internal phone , web browser and social network access point . The Prism's usages are known to be tremendous and supposedly benefits to everyone's welfare . However , in the case of a group of 13 persons , the Prism becomes an ominous threat . As they wake up with suppressed memories , they find themselves being kept captive in a weird , dreary-looking place that seems utterly unfamiliar . As bewilderment arises , they are told by an offbeat , cubic-looking host , named "Rippoume" , that among them is an infiltrating traitor who will cause world-wide havoc . Because of that , every 3 days , the most suspicious-looking person of the group will see their Prism being mind-hacked by "Rippoume" thus causing an instant demise . As an alternative , they will be also allowed to kill who they expect to be the traitor . This bloody mayhem will then keep on until that the traitor is obliterated , even if the entire group has to be sacrificed . Why were they specifically chosen ? What is this place ? Is there truly a traitor ? And who are the individuals behind this mischievous plan ? "Who is the traitor ?" The 13 characters . Is there truly a traitor among them ? But then , who ? Now what I would like to know is , does this sound like a promising story , knowing that the storyline has been very shortened to give a sypnosis . Does the title sounds appealing to you ? I shall , later on , create a full page with all the characters shown along side with their informations , some sprites , some screenshots of the maps and several other informations as such . Greetings everyone ! I am currently facing a hard decision . I have too storyline I really appreaciate and I would like to make a game out of both of them however , I really cannot which one to start with . This way , I would like you to tell me which one would you prefer : The first one , it involves several characters (around 15) , this will be a visual novel , survival , sci-fi , mystery , point and click game . In this game , people will die and you will have to discover who is the murderer behind each crime in order to execute them to gain something and discover what has mysteriously happened to them . The storyline will have twists and be rather psychological . There will be a point and click interface , you will be able to interact which characters and get to know their backstory . The second , has fewer characters (around 4) , this will be a 2D cute , fantasist , mystery and magic game . In this game , you will have to discover a mystery involving around the main character when she finds out that her crush mysteriously disappears and that people around seem to freeze without even noticing it . There will be many mini games but it will be mainly about sinking for specific items to go through the storyline which will lead to several endings . There are two pictures : the two first pictures shows most of the characters ( I haven't drawn all of them yet) from the first (survival) game idea and the second picture shows an exemple of point and click interface . There two last pictures show two maps from the second (cute) game . -

Welcome to Toby's Island, a 90's style RPG that follows the story of Toby, a boy whose lineage destines him to defend an island from a terrifying darkness imprisoned at the islands core. On the journey you will craft tools and potions, farm plants, fish...fish, and collect monsters while you repair and upgrade a village, meeting new friends and overcoming an evil that your predecessors never could. The intention of this game is to appeal to fans of the pokemon franchise, but expand on both the story telling and gameplay. The game revolves heavily around resource/item collection, explores serious themes and prides itself on hidden passageways, events and easter eggs. You may remember seeing a post about this project a while back in 2014. Visually the game has been rebuilt almost entirely, leaving only the menus and a few odds and ends behind. Abstract: Island survival Genre: Survival Game Progression: Early testing/developing phase Recruitment: Could use people to help with new content Story: You wake up on a strange island after a plane crash. You have to find a way to get off the island, but in order to do so, you must use various skills. The longer you stay on the island the more you realise that this isn't your average island and that there are some strange things going on. Character Bios: You are the main character. Having just survived the plane crash of which you are the only survivor, you set out to find a way home. Credits: Used 'erze' tileset from 'community resource pack'. Also used the default graphics and sounds. For the final release, looking to replace those by self made ones. Screenshots: Features: It is a survival game in which you wake up on a mysterious island after a plane crash. You will have to find a way off the island and use various skills to do so. The skills include: Woodcutting Mining Fishing Blacksmithing Leatherworking Cooking Herbalism More skills can be added later. At the moment the game features Woodcutting, Mining, Fishing and a working battle system. You will first wash up on a smaller island which will be your intruduction to the various skills before you are teleported to the real island. Hydration Your body spends water to function, but also to sweat for dissipation to cool you off on hot environments. Rehydrate by drinking water off ponds, coconuts, collected rain water, and many more creative ways to find water. As you dehydrate, your body will fail to cool you off and, if it runs out of water to function, it will shut down. Body Temperature High temperatures result in higher hydration loss from sweating, while low temperatures can cause sickness. Take baths to cool your body off, or start a campfire to warm up. Craft coats to protect from rain, or preserve your body temperature. Failing to cool off leads to a heat stroke, from which you may only wake up if your body cools off before dehydrating. [â—] Posters automatically regenerate 1 MP each turn. (post) [â—] Posters have 4 commands: Attack, Fire ball, Healing and Drain. ├→ Attack deals 1 damage. ├→ Fire Ball deals 5 damage, costs 3 MP. └→ Healing recovers 5 HP, costs 3 MP. └→ Drain deals 3 damage, heals 2 HP, costs 3 MP. [â—] Boss attacks once per day (I'll take care of it, since I'm online very often) and deal damage to posters. So I had this idea of a survival "horror" game with zombies, right? Well I might not include the zombies cause it comes out as a cliche but anyway...Character is locked in his room when he/she hears the news that the outbreak begun and stuff like that so he/she starts leaving his house to go wherever (didn't think on this part yet) and I want help in a system that will let the player build his own "hideouts?" in some spots in the map when it gets dark outside. Any ideas on how I could do this or any tip on how to make a survival game were the player should scavenge for his own survival would be very helpful!!

So here's a quick question; what would one need in order to survive in space? Just been thinking a lot lately and was pondering over what exactly a space survival/adventure game would need to be interesting. I thought a few points like the ones below would make for an interesting game: Basic survival meters; like Hunger, Thirst, Oxygen and so on Crafting System to help with the whole 'staying alive' thing. A decent, driven story line (pretty necessary as I wouldn't want to design a true sandbox game in Ace!) But then I was trying to come up with materials and other game details that would be necessary and make for an exciting game in Ace. What kinds of things do you think would fit well into a space survival/adventure game? I was thinking gathering resources like Minecraft, a relatively linear story, maybe jumping from point to point like Fire Emblem games, and keeping up with your ship and crew, maybe something along the lines of FTL. I don't know! I'm just throwing that out there. Would love to hear fun ideas!

So, a couple of you wonder where I've been for all this time? Let me clear a few things up. Starting with where it all began. So, I received RPG Maker VXAce as a Christmas Present back in 2013, where I began using it to create many failed projects that never went anywhere. And so it was that one day, I should find myself dating a random stranger who I then got engaged to a few months later (Sidenote: Let it be known that this part is purely my fault and I have acknowledged it as such). And so it was that my first ex and I moved to my mother's house in Florida. It was a horror story of survival, at first it was all rainbows and sunshine. However, when the days go by and the sun goes down, sunshine and rainbows quickly turns into death and decay. My mother was on prescription meds for her MS, but she started to take more and more and more at once and the money went towards booze and drugs instead of foods. At this time, I was using RPG Maker and was an active part of the community, this was around March I believe, ask Spectre, he knew me then. RPG Maker was my sole relief from reality because my ex would lend me her laptop and go to work. Soon thereafter she got lazy and got fired and thus my work on RPGMaker was substantially less and less. We would fight more often and she would toss me about the room and throw things at me, yes I was abused and it was the darkest time of my life. (Sidenote: I know this has turned dark and creepy and horrifying, but stay with me for a moment more, soon we shall be once again, into unicorns and rainbows Blaaargh) And then my ex left the house, I had no way to use RPG Maker and spent the next four months playing console video games and wasting my life. It was then that I called my father and said, "Get me out of here, I might be homeless soon." To which he swiftly bought me a Greyhound ticket and off I go, back to Californification (California). (Sidenote: In my head, it's a british narrator with a humorous tune, you should try it this way) And so it was that upon coming back I applied for all sorts of jobs, and in September I landed one, working at Wal-Mart as a truck unloader with a shift of 4PM-1AM. It was amazing, I was working and I was happy, but as fate would have it, soon I began to see couples everywhere. I got jealous, I wanted a relationship like that. And so it was that I happened to have hooked up with my current girlfriend, she and I aren't doing too good right now, but that's a story for another day mate. Upon hooking up with my current, I began once again to work upon my most beloved of works, my story about a Spirit Walker and his quest to endlessly save the world. Thanks to all of you or allowing me to say my piece, I don't expect any of you to read it (Because heaven forbid anyone reads these days right?!), and definitely don't expect any of you to comment on it. More indepth post here. I have made a survival type game before, but it was only with one player. However, after looking at the Banished game, I've been wondering how possible it would be to do on a 2D rpg maker engine. One of the biggest drawbacks I see right now is that it will require a mouse script that will make events follow where you click, or a path finding script that will make one event walk towards another event. I've looked through the RPG Maker game list, and I did find one game that involved a construction and building type system, which is called Mayor (City). Has anyone else tried making a game similar to this? Or are currently making a game similar to this? I have tried to, but so far, I haven't been able to find the script that will make events follow the mouse, so I'm at a standstill until I can see if one exists. Also, what are things that you would like to see in these types of games, if you're interested in them? And what are things in these games that annoy you and you wish would be left out? If you want to read up more on some other games in this genre, here is a list of them.

Hey everyone, I am currently doing a lot of "pre-work" on a large-scale fantasy RPG which has been long in the making, but after quite a long break from RPG Maker I have decided it might be best to work on a smaller project to "freshen" up my skills a little and reboot some of those creative juices. The following is a game that is very early in the making and is really just a concept at the moment so I wanted to see what people thought and whether there is any interest or not in this type of design. Quarantine Zombie Survival RPG Story/Setting In the year 2055, a military funded research & development team is working on a new type of chemical warfare intended to turn an enemies population against one another. After a significant amount of progress, the new chemical agent is being prepared for testing at a facility outside the labs hometown of #cityname. The logistics team responsible for transporting the chemical weapon are attacked on route, the attackers from a rival nation seeking to steal the weapon and research, only to have the chemical released in to the city streets. The government is put on high-alert, martial law is enforced and the R&D team are relocated. While the team was able to create what many have come to call a "zombie agent", they were unable to create a vaccine - something the military never intended to create in the first place. Unluckily for them, the only way to reverse the effects of this new type of weapon is death. Realizing that they could not stop the new zombie agent that was spreading throughout #cityname, the government built a large wall around the city and quarantined those inside - planning to contain the virus and the citizens of the city until it disappeared, or in other words until all those who are infected have been exterminated. You play as a citizen of #cityname who was trapped within the city boundaries during the quarantine. While you have been hiding away in your apartment, food and supplies are beginning to run low so you can't stay holed up for any longer - it's time to make a decision. Will you try to escape the quarantine zone or find a way to survive within the boundaries until the whole mess blows over? Features Open World RPG - No linear paths, just a large open city to explore Action Battle System - Hack, slash, and shoot your way through hordes of zombies Character Progression - Learn skills by using them, pick which skills are important to you and then hone them Decision Driven Gameplay - Will you save that survivor or keep on walking? Multiple Endings - Will you escape quarantine or find a way to survive within the wall? Day/Night Cycle - The streets become even more dangerous at night... Build Your Crew - Invite other survivors to join your group, there's strength in numbers NPC Relationships - The locals will form an opinion of you, determining whether they help you or try to kill you Bandit or Survivor - Align with good or evil, will you seek to help your community or exploit the situation for your own perverted desires Crafting System - Loot items from around the world and then craft them in to something more useful Base Building & Customization - Don't like your apartment? Find a new place to call home and customize it to your liking More Features TBD Screenshots Please note these are just a few concept maps, they have only had one initial pass - they require a second pass over in order to remove/add clutter and make it appear as though it has suffered through bandit raids, zombie attacks, looting and other types of activities you would expect in this sort of scenario - this is merely a "clean layout". Concept I am a huge fan of zombie games such as DayZ, The Last of Us, Project Zomboid etc - I want to recreate a lot of the atmosphere and gameplay from these types of games in an RPG Maker project. The whole idea is to provide an open world sandbox in which players must gather food and supplies, kill zombies, and more to survive. Players can aim to reach one of multiple endings or just survive on the map until they completely empty it of all items and supplies and die off. Currently there's an energy system, actions performed consume energy which must be restored with food/water or rest - eventually this will be fleshed out to a full hunger, thirst and health system. So what do you guys think, is this something you would be interested in playing and if so, what kind of features would you like to see? All input is greatly appreciated, I have already done quite a bit of work on the project but thought I should probably put it out there for suggestions/feedback etc before continuing any further.
