  1. I've noticed, that some users have ultra-long signatures, that are simply invasive. Literally, I've bumped into a signature, that is as high as 1000 pixels, which is almost enough to cover the whole screen. Members keep pointing out to the others, that they should put their code in spoilers. I also recall some reports regarding long signatures in the past, so I believe it is safe to say, that no one wants to get through these walls over and over again. We always were reminding members, that the maximum allowed height for signatures is 200 pixels. While most of you respect that, there are members, who don't. So now I present you a solution: Instead of dressing up as a police officer and poking members to adjust their signatures, I have modified how these are displayed. Basically in the editor ~ in your actual signature, you can still put as much things as you want (don't go wild with interpreting this though - obviously, harmfully long images for spamming purposes will result in troubles), but only 200 first pixels will be displayed. The rest will appear cut-off - not displayed, that is. Nope, I'm not yelling, don't you worry. I'm just highlighting the important information, as I can imagine members asking "why my signature gets cut-off in posts?". So now you know the answer beforehand. It is to make it all nicer mainly for you, not us. You are the ones, who point out / report these things after all. Of course as always, feel free to discuss that change. Feedfrontback is always welcomed. Thank you!

    a very late but mildly interesting update

    **log taken from the gamejolt page** hi i forgot to update the devlog while working on things major updates fixed timothy’s sprite flicker glitch after reworking and condensing some common events the phone is longer required to change classes, and instead it can be done directly from the esc menu (the phone will probably be removed) the Photographer class is functioning but needs more skills and work the first recruitable party member is in the works new damage sounds WOAH the book at timothy’s desk used for saving is now a desktop computer planned reducing the size of the apartment to feel more like a college dorm adding a form of ‘quick class help’ to get more info on timothy’s current class (menu option, button press, etc) making a more interesting title screen misc a composer has gotten in contact with me and has expressed interest on working on insomnioid’s soundtrack yay

    Themes Hopefully Fixed

    Apparently the themes weren't fully compatible with the new update, which made them unreadable. The themes were completely redone, so hopefully, they should be fixed now. I'm not sure of the dark theme though. I think it looks terrible, but editing it is a pain (I'm terrible at HTML/CSS). I've made stuff darker here and there, but not sure if that looks good. Either way, if you'll bump into any issues, such as unreadable font, please let me know! Eventually I'll get rid of the dark theme.

Due to this, the ability to create threads in the old resource area has been disabled. All threads from that forum will be slowly moved to the new one, but feel free to report your and others' threads, to give them higher priority, or just mention them below in a post. Yep! You can help by giving us a list of threads you want to keep. they don't even have to be yours! We'd appreciate that! There are new rules posted all over the place for your convenience. I hope they're much simpler to follow than they used to be! If you'll have any questions, suggestions or if you'll find something not right, just let us know! Also, feel free to rant on things! A: No, you don't have to! If you've updated your threads with those fancy tags before, they've been moved to the new section for you already. You don't have to do anything! They're okay! You can still edit them if you wish, the tagging requirements have been lifted (kind of).
  5. Hello everybody! Currently there are some changes happening on the forums in order to fully jump to the sea of new possibilities. What does that mean? Well, as you may have probably noticed, we're now supporting more than RPG Maker series. There are some fancy, empty sections already, but there needs to be more! Many things still focus only on RPG Makers, so there are many things yet to be done. To avoid changing everything at once and throwing a confusing wall of text explaining those changes, we'll split updates into parts, so that it will be easier to discuss and follow these. So what's this update all about? Creative Area is now more friendly. You can post all of your works, that aren't intended to be used by anyone else, no matter if you require feedback or not. You're allowed to post your various artworks, fanarts, music tracks, stories, poems, movies, animations and everything else you'd like to share. Show your skills and discuss these with others! I've noticed some more changes though, what is this sorcery? Yep, that's true! Sections were reorganized. Some forums were moved up; some down, hopefully for better. Don't worry, it will be getting worse! In the meanwhile, feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions or just tell us what you don't like. Of course, don't forget to point out typos and other mistakes! Those silly villains like to mess up things from time to time!
  6. I stopped working on the game, forgot to introduce the characters, AND forgot the Boot Camp post. On the bright side, I'm working on the game again and will be introducing the characters one at a time, starting with the main character. As for the Boot Camp post, I don't think that will be happening. It took me 5 hours to tell my brother the ins and outs of Boot, so if you really want to know what it was like, shoot me a message. Also, I'm posting about my game for feedback, not to have characters and ideas stolen. Anyways, without further ado, I shall introduce my main character: Zenori Gravius! Zenori Gravius is a character that I came up with as a little kid, although the name "Zenori Gravius" has only been in use since 2012. His original name was Lewis Druid (yes, like my username on literally everything). When I got Skyrim in 2012, I looked up a name generator for Imperials, and I dug around and chose a first name (something similar to what became "Zenori") and the last name Gravius. I fell in love with the name, and have always wanted to make him a character. His personality is similar to mine, with minor tweaks. Here is some basic info on him (some info is subject to change): Age: 21 Sex: Male Hair: Grey Eyes: Grey Height: 6'5" Hometown: Krane Short Bio: No one knows where he was born, just that he shown up in the small village of Krane as a baby in the graveyard. He grew up under the care of the village's resident blacksmith, and as such knows a decent bit about weapons. As he got older and monsters started to become more aggressive, he saw a need for a group to defend the village. He gathered other local youths, trained them to fight, and formed a group dedicated to the defense of the village. So that's about it for the basics. I know it's not much, but it should give you a vague idea of who he is. When I release the demo, you'll get to see him and three of the other characters more in depth, so keep an eye out for that. For him and other characters, I may mention names of people or places with little to no explanation, but know they will be explained in a post about basic world lore later on. Anyways, that's it for this time. Keep an eye out for the next character soon!

    Update and More!

    So I'm considering maybe I have each enemy just be leaders from the other world of the game. I'm not going to say why or how they get to the main characters' world (spoiluhs), but I think it should turn out good. I've also finished fleshing out my main characters, as well as figuring out the overall combat system. For now, that's basically it. Feel free to ask me anything about the game that you are curious about (except for things clearly spoiler related).

    Updating Game?

    Is there any script that updates a game? I am planning to distribute a game made in RPG Maker VX Ace, I currently release several patches a day and it is a huge download.

    Age of Corruption UPDATE

    Notes KFC took the place of Konata Konata no longer exist in the game Story There are two gods. Vectra, God of Darkness, and KFC, God of Beasts. Both of them are corrupted. Once they were accused and exposed of their corruption, a worldwide war began against the Gods. This war was called the Rebellion War. Both Vectra and KFC had loyal followers who fought with them. After the war, the Gods believed they've killed everyone on the planet except for their followers... but they were wrong. The few that are alive are called Rebel Veterans. After this war, KFC and Vectra split the world in two. One side remaining medieval while the other is doing technological advances. Some stay on the medieval side(they don't trust computers, machines, robots, etc.) and the others move with Vectra to the technological side. KFC and Vectra repopulated their planet, Xexer, with humans. Their main priority is to kill all Rebel Veterans and possibly new rebels. They captured a few Rebel Veterans and did things to them to get them to talk. Lately, they got nothing. Characters Shawn(Main Character) Title: Soul Reaper Class: You pick(7 to choose from) Attributes: You pick(6 to choose from(Max: 2)) Note: You start with one. Have to be at a certain level to unlock the 2nd attribute. Same goes for the rest of the characters. Personality: Respectful, has a lot of pride, as well as valor. He keeps his emotions in check and makes sure his personal pride and valor doesn't get him killed. Story: Unavailable(Can't tell you anything without giving too much away) Special ability: He has the power to absorb or "tinker" with souls. All powers are based on weakening the opponents stats or improve your own stats along with some unique skills. Maul Title: Human - X Class: Medium Attributes: Lightning & War Personality: Civil and respectful. He's really smart. He knows how to hack and work on technological stuff. Story: Maul was one of the rebel veterans. He was brutally tortured by Hailey, The Medieval Torturer, so KFC can get info from him. When Maul refused to tell, Hailey killed his wife, and then they sent him to Alyssa. She killed him, took his brain, and synchronized the mechanical body with the brain. Later, they found out Maul was still living but this time, inside a mechanical body. He was put in a highly secured cage so Alyssa can find a way to get the info on the location of the Rebels' hideout. He is the rebels' recon leader. Special ability: He has an attached sword to his arm. The sword is a heavy weapon but he is still as fast as a normal medium, making him a good member to have. His sword is a special type of sword so he'll have special sword abilities. Sadly, his defense is lower than most mediums, as well as his MP. He can turn invisible for a short period of time. Liz Title: Venoma Class: Light Attribute: Mythic & (your choice) Personality: Personality inspired by Juri Han(Street Fighter). Liz is sometimes considered crazy and insane. She is quick and fast. She has an obsession with snakes and claws. Her obsession has an influence on her fighting style. She calls it "The way of the Mythical Snake." Story: Liz is not a rebel veteran. She believed the rebels in their accusations against the Gods and joined them. Liz was a stripper at a club when she was 16, and tried to become a prostitute when she was 18. Her boss refused to let her quit the club. She was puzzled until he tried to take advantage of her. They fought and she was able to escape. He vowed that he will have her whether she was alive or dead. O_O Special Ability: She can activate super speed, she can activate hyper reflexes, and when needed(not in battle), she can use X-Ray Vision. She's good at being faster and thinking faster than her opponent. She likes to be a few steps ahead. She might not be strong but she can throw a lot of punches. She's great against other fast opponents and better against faster ones. Ronald Title: Street Veteran Class: Light - Medium Attribute: Fire & (your choice) Personality: He has the same personality as Liz. Him and Liz together is an "interesting" mix when you have them together. Story: Friends(with benefits) with Liz. They became friends when he became a regular of her's when she was a stripper. Liz talked him into joining the rebels. Ronald was a street brawling champion. He was the champion for many years but left when he joined the rebels. Special abilities: Due to his street brawling skills, he can inflict unique ailments(states) on the enemy. For example, bone buster, which breaks any guard the enemy has. His moves do take a while. Some may take slow up his Attack rate; Bone buster lowers Ronald's attack speed by 66% but ignores defense and breaks guard. He's a key player when it comes to breaking down the enemy's defense. Special Characters(Characters you get by doing certain quests) Fishero Title: Pirate Apprentice Class: Medium - Heavy Attribute: (You pick both) Personality: He has a pirate-like personality. He loves machine guns and swords. His loves fighting especially when fighting against large groups. A lot of things does not bother him as he has traveled the world and has seen almost everything. Story: Fishero is the son of the Pirate Captain, Zeneus. When he died, his father gave the title to Uncle. When Uncle Frero feels that Fishero is ready, Frero may give the title to him. Special abilities: He has a 10% chance to reflect magical/ranged attacks, has a really strong gun called Dragon Bullet, and when in the zone, he can become a great contributor to your offense. Knighterius Title: The Guardian Class: Heavy Attribute: Lightning & (you pick) Personality: Knighterius is very loyal and has great honor and valor. Even though he is big and strong, he has the heart of a true knight and a true guardian. He is really friendly and easy to get along with. Story: Knighterius is in a guild called "The Shields". This guild helps others with their problems. They shielded people from monsters that were vicious and dangerous. Even when the odds were not in their favor, they were taught to fight until the very end. The Shields became the secondary capital of the medieval side while the Dragon Colosseum remained the primary capital. Knighterius was named "The Guardian". His defensively skills are extraordinary. He was captured by KFC, the God of beasts. He was sent to Vectra so Alyssa can do experiments on Knighterius. Knighterius is a great defensive fighter so Vectra took him so Heather, the Witch of Nightmares, can conquer the Shields. Special abilities: He has substitution(passive), he makes himself center of attention to distract all enemies, can activate the HP shield on himself or others(Stacks with the booster, Support Shield), 10% chance to dodge and/or reflect magical/ranged attacks. Temporary Characters James Fury Title: Unavailable(Can't say without giving away anything) Class: Heavy - Light Attribute: Prime & Chaos Personality: He is completely insane with no sane left in him. That's the only thing that describes him. Story: Only rebel veterans know who he is. He is not known to the rest of the world since the war ended.(Can't say much more without giving away too much) Special abilities: He plays with peoples minds. He confuses them, makes them panic, inflict mental damage on enemies. He has a combo-based fighting style which requires you to press buttons. He is really strong and fast. His fighting style does a lot of stunning. He can adapt to any situation that comes his way. Jordyn(blue version) Title: Military 2nd in Command Class: Medium - Light Attribute: Prime, Lightning, & War Personality: Is very competitive and can be very serious when needed. She has a lot of pride in what she does and plans to do a good job at being the military commander. Story: She was ranked top fighter of the world(excluding the Gods). She is a renown warrior who fights fierce in combat. Everyone from around the world comes to the Colosseum to see her fight. She has no known rival, so she wears the title proudly. Special abilities: Teleportation, stronger than a heavy, faster than a light, stuns the enemy a lot, interrupts the enemy a lot, is very deadly when fighting one-on-one. One weakness is that she has no spread moves. Do you think any of them are overpowered or under-powered compared to the rest? Why? Note: James Fury and Jordyn doesn't count Does any character's story you feel is too bland or need tweaking?     Dev Update #1

    Hello everyone here's my first update to Project Eden. All I got to say isn't much. Demo Update: The demo for the game that will be uploaded as a pre-alpha demo. It will demonstrate how the battle system will act like. I'm not done with it yet but by next developer update it will be done for a public alpha demo. I would like it to show how to gameplay will be like and would want feedback on it. Characters Update: Zane (Backstory): Class: Warrior Zane was born a lower class citizen. At a young age of 7 his parents died due an accident where is house caught on fire with unknown causes. People assumed that it was a household appliance error that caught on fire. He was taken in by family that found him on the streets in the rain. In that family was Rei a good friend of his. Rei's family is a Magic Sword Family. While he was under the care of the family they taught Zane how to use magic swords. Years later Rei's parents died of sickness leaving Rei and Zane to the house alone to them. Now days Zane works to pay the bills and Rei isn't always home and when he is home he's not home for long. Zane has no idea what Rei does while his is gone but doesn't bother to ask because knowing Rei he always keeps to himself not bothering people on what he is doing. Company Update: Moton is now going to be Neon Games. This is going to be more convenient for people to say the name. The facebook page is going to be merged into a new link within 14 days.     A Progression Update

    Hey everyone! I've got a progression update, I'll admit, it's going slower than I thought. It's hard to find people who can devote time and effort, but here's what I've got so far: World Map: 99% Just needs some parallax Game Maps: 2% I've barely scratched the surface of this Game Story: 1% I haven't even bothered yet, I am busy trying to make the maps Character Developement: 25% I've got a quarter of the main characters done Game Research: Unknown There's a lot that I have to research and although I am getting some help, there's just a lot about Japanese Culture that I need to research...customs, spiritual beliefs, hierarchy, especially martial arts, as well as military. I'm probably going to have the game set at a feudal Japan period. Maybe Edo, but I was thinking 13th or 14th century Japan, when belief in ghosts, evil lords, and magic was rampant. Overall Developement: .01% I know...an astronomically low number, but hey, used to be .001%
