Squirmunity is a game where you're a Cube. But you're not just any Cube, your mission is to SQUIRT yousrelf into this SQUIRMUNITY - NOT in an adult way but in a fun-loving geometric object way! There's plenty to explore in the demo, and the developer carefully designed each little mechanic of the game to be player unfriendly as possible, whilst simultaneously being directly driven by the Holy Spirit! Epileptics will be slain. “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race. https://squirmunity.com We have a demo!

videogame Who's your favorite Videogame Villain/Boss?
Chadzter01 posted a topic in General Discussion
Post a picture of your favorite villain and why you like him. You can also post your favorite ability he/she uses. I'll start. Miguel from chrono cross. I like him a lot because he killed me multiple times on my first playthrough. I feel sad for him because he end up like this. His story is so sad. (I also love the background music while fighting him.So sad.) This boss fight is one of the best for me. Favorite Skill: Ofcourse! The Frickin' Holy Drag Sword! -
Following in the vein of my 2 spoopy collection, I want to do a winter/holiday/thanksgiving themed collection of quick plays. I've only just gotten started, but I have a lot of games archived up and ready to go. Sadly, most of these games aren't exactly holiday themed so much as they simply have a holiday backdrop. For example, Batman Returns for the SNES does technically take place during Christmas in Gotham, but it's not a "go to game" as far as holidays are concerned. There are more obvious titles I intend to tackle, such as Daze Before Christmas, Nightmare Before Christmas, Home Alone, and so on, but any suggestions whatsoever would be helpful. Like before, these are quick one hour plays. In some cases I may be able to beat the game in that time, but for most it's a way of showing off the game, good or bad, in an effort to help people get in the spirit of things and laugh in general. I'm also putting together a custom intro/outro for each game to make it a little more official. Any musical recommendations you have for that would be appreciated as well. I'll post more here when I have content to show.

This has been numerous times, surely, but I want to know what games you consider to be amazing that you're pretty sure nobody has ever heard of. The difficulty here is it has to be a true underdog, which can be tough unless it was something that just plain didn't come out to the U.S. As this is my topic, I'll start. Adventures of Hourai High is an amazing, strange, quirky, and hilarious RPG with lots of really cool backend elements. The battles are fairly straightforward, but you can stumble across multiple people you can recruit and raise their affinity by spending points. Moreover, you can enroll your party members in extracurricular clubs that they learn skills from (anime, kendo, karate, or math club for example). Some of these clubs have requirements such as meeting a certain level or whatever to even join in the first place, but it's always worth getting the abilities they offer. The game takes place on an island that's basically one big charter school, but it's as ridiculous as it can possibly get. In a way, it almost sounds like an anime (I would not be surprised if it was based on one or if one was developed in response to it) and in general it's a really fun, oft overlooked title, probably because it was only recently fully translated by AGTP (probably about a year ago or so). Definitely worth checking out, but I want to know, what games do you know of that are true underdogs and why?

Why is it that some games are more easily tolerated than others that are considered "hard?" For example, I love games like Ghosts n Goblins, Dark Souls, the older Ninja Gaiden games, and basically anything Shin Megami Tensei, but I can't stand games like Super Meat Boy, I Wanna Be The Guy, The Impossible Game, the newer Ninja Gaiden games, and Devil May Cry 3. The funny part is with each game I can cite reasons I like AND dislike them, but it seems like it's WHAT I dislike about certain games that causes me to just plain not like them. For example, Dark Souls is a game that kicks you ass for a living, but you feel a great sense of accomplishment anytime you learn how to fight a boss well and beat him. Meanwhile, I never got that sense of accomplishment from the newer Ninja Gaiden games. With Ghosts n Goblins games, the levels were often obscenely difficult, but a treat to trudge through...yet with games like I Wanna Be The Guy and Super Meat Boy, I feel like they're difficult just for the sake of being difficult, even though it feels like they're trying to accomplish the same thing. For a lot of people, it seems like they're willing to forgive or otherwise look issues that are glaring and ridiculous to other people. I realize it comes down to preference, but one would think that if a game is deemed difficult, challenging, or tough that it would all come down to doing the same thing over and over until you get it right and enjoy the fact that you finally accomplished something ridiculously difficult...yet, I don't get that for some reason. I don't know, what do you guys think?

So up until recently (just kinda not really motivated with everything else going on), I had a penchant for picking up ridiculous arcade games and playing them through to completion for Twitch, then archiving them on Youtube. I can post general links to them if people are interested, but the fact remains, have you ever played a game that was so utterly terrible and/or cheesy that you couldn't help but love it? A few good examples are games like Violent Storm (arcade), Deadly Premonition (multiple systems), and...Ninja Baseball Batman (arcade, and yes it's amazing).
