Completed intro

Well its not 100% finished, I might want to change some texts and make everything run more smoothly. But this is the whole idea of my intro.

 

 

I didn't want it to take too long. Most intro's of games I found verry boring, long texts nothing really happens. I hope mine is less boring :)
Anny critiques are welcome...

Not bad.

 

You missed a ' when the character at the end says he can't find any food, but other than that, it looks pretty good, I assume the game starts at the end when the character wakes up?  You provide a little back story, the evil sorceress was defeated years ago, there is a black knight, a good wizard, an order, and an unlikely hero cloaked in shadows.

When he wakes up it's the begining of the story. The hero of this story is actualy a traveler/homeless person, he has no home and searches the woods. His background story is mysterious and he himself is shrouded in mystery. He wakes up in Draomar (the good wizard) his tower where the tutorial starts about the fighting system and skills/items. And from there the adventure begins. Later on the story it will explain more about who Lady Corvosia is and her link to the order :-)

Well, I like it.  The music transitions were perfectly matched with the action, you had very nice use of special effects, the dialog boxes were up long enough to read but not so long that I wanted to stab an eyeball or smash something, and the rooms/forest were very well mapped and looked good.  Most importantly you only provided enough info for me to play and find out more.  Good job.

This may be the creepiest introduction I have seen in a long time. Not creepy in a bad way; I found it to be the exact opposite.

 

Although, I only watched up to the part at the end of the ritual and didn't go any more. When the Black Knight hits his minion, it looks like he's beating him to death with the animation; I think you can only get away with one smack. It would feel more realistic that way.

Wow, this intro gives me a feeling that takes me back to when i played tales of phantasia on my old GBA!

i thjink you should darken the purple or desaturate it a bit to fit the overall colors in on the map

I find the whole Propecy / hero thing a little cliche, but all in all, I enjoyed it, I would like to play this game.

The summoning scene could do with a summoning circle, otherwise, epic.  When can we testplay it?

Very cool intro! It definitely has enough action in the scenes to keep your interest. I'll look forward to the demo!

I was a little curious about where the demons went off to in the summon scene. 

It looked to me like she was choosing which to summon.

 

 

The talking after that, with the black knight, was strange to me at first but I see now that there is a pointer above their heads XD

I for one, think this is an excellent intro that doesn't divulge too much and doesn't make people want to fall asleep (there are many games like such). I like the atmosphere and music, as well as the narrative.

 

Only thing is, I had a hard time 'getting into it' because of the flow of text. There are commas in places they shouldn't be, missing periods (at the end of sentences) and lack of commas in many places. Also some sentences that could use a grammar restructure, such as "If only I found something valuable to sell for gold!" would be better as "If only I could find..." since he's still actually looking for things in the present tense. That's the only kind of thing I could spot that gave me a bad vibe as a player. Otherwise, very nice.

I really enjoyed the intro and the text bubbles work well with the theme of the game. There's something about the beginning that is really enticing that it makes you want to play to know who all those characters were that you caught a slight glimpse off. I would have to agree with Arin the Radiant you probably should tone down the beating XD lol. But, all in all it looks great and looks like you put a lot effort into it.

This looks really good, new to the community and still getting used to the toolset but if I can make anything near to this in terms of production values I will be very happy.

One question: How did you make the clouds move above the screen? Is it a paraled event that handles pictures, a paralax with a script to allow paralaxes be on top? or something else?
