Sapphire Action System IV

Great system.. Minus the fact that it glitches my stairs and ladders/ropes.. You can no longer walk on them. and they're not unwalkable in my tilesets.. any fix?

Khas, please try and add projectiles (Bows), I don't feel like the system is complete without it... :(

Wow this is impressive. It's the best battle system ever owo! Only next step is ally AI, and more characters...

I would like to say thanks for making an amazing battle system =). I think i will try to make a mess around project using this system to test it out more!

 

A few suggestions that I think would make the system even better:

-Give monsters the ability to be an 'ally'. Those who would move and act like monsters but attack other nonally monsters (not sure if this is feasible or requires some sort of AI thats not the monsters normal).

-Allow abilities to be casted upon self, such as heal, or Power Up using the S/D buttons.

-Allow abilities to add desired debuffs/effects on enemies on top/instead of the damage dealt. Would be good for 'weakness' spells and abilities like sleep or stun.

-Allow skills to have a limited range.

-Allow melee weapons to vary in range.

how do i assigned items to quick slot... then use it without going into the item menu?

How can I disable the SAS during the gameplay? Which command should I use in script call to do that?

<p>See in the script. I think you can't disable SAS and only pause it. I think is a command with "sas_pause". In the script: Ctrl + F and search.</p>

yes, please read the pixel movement instructions.

It's all there, so the script won't bug.

 

 

Thank you all for the sugestions, but I'm busy these days and I can't add new features.

ABS are complex scripts, it's hard to make a good one.

 

So please, stop posting sugestions, I'm aware of them, I hope one day I will make them real.

Is it possible to make it so that your party members are fighting with you?

Also if you are using a different character that the image changes additionally with sound effects

This script is amazing. If i may make a suggestion like I do with usually all ABS. Items such as bombs to blow open walls or boomeranges to pull items to you would always be a beneficial addition. Musch like the old zelda games.

Khas already said it at the previous post since the same suggestion was added long ago. :/

 

Anyway, the pixel movement glitched the tileset passage. Even I've set them as O-block and 4-directional passable, some of them are still can't be passed, such as the mountain patches at Outside_A5.

Lovely system Khas!

I did put it in my game,but the enemies don't do any damage to me.

And,can you please explain how to add comments to different enemies?

I mean..how to know when an enemy has higher or lower hp just by adding comments?How do they work?

Have you used the script call to enabled the ABS system?

The enemies' HP and stats are set in the database directly.

use [enemy x] to setup an enemy event, and replace x to a proper enemy ID in the database.

For more info, you can look at the PDF file included in the demo, and check the game database of the demo to know how to do it.

Really nice script, but I have one question.

Can I make a hud with digits like 20/30HP?

 

I will make a little horror game and these script "Khas Awesome Light Effects" and this script are perfect for it^^

Sooooo is there a way to toggle the speed in which the sword is swung? like... instead of "swing....swing...swing"...., can i do "swingswingswing"? ^_^

 

BTW Khas, SASIV is awesome sauce

 

EDIT: nvm its the "default recover time" on the script. found it!!! SAS is the best ^_^

 

...but i got another question....could somebody run me through how to do enemy deaths?? i read the manual, and i tried to customize but....well...y'know...im sure its something simple im missing. thanx in advance ^_^

 

WAIT!!!!: i figured that out too......y'know....i think im just gonna read the whole manual....twice lol ^_^

Personally, i like this better than XAS, cuz its easier to use and its like.........customizable......lemme know about any updates ^_^

I put the scripts in and followed the directions. but whenever i try to tranfer my character somewhere the screen goes black and looks like it wants to crash, not sure how to fix it. Wonderful script though! Any help would be appreciated.

I have a question: Is there a way to disable pixel movement feature? I kinda like tilebased one and it better fits game I working on. I've read PDF, but it didn't answer this question.

//edit: Also could you make it so we can equip up to 4 skills that would be accessible via q,w,e,r keys?
