I think of it more as "SAR-mee-nuh" with a little kick on the S to give it that nice "ts" sound.

Bugs:  I didn't want to assume anything and guess wrong.  But my ex-roomie is 3/4 African American and 1/4 Japanese and you reminded me of her.  Looks like your hair has more of an Asian texture?

Wow, that is so neat! Hahaha, and that there were some similarities between us. I wish i knew what she looked like.
