Hirion: an ordinary beautiful world filled with joy and prosperity. Everything seems to be perfect in this place; the people live long and peaceful lives and there hasn't been any war for as long as anyone can remember. 
However, in the mysterious Eternal Void, a place that brings balance to the world, something terrifying is about to happen. You have been summoned there to uncover whatever secrets it holds and to find out what's going on...
  • A customized ABS (Active Battle System) to enjoy and will bring a unique experience.
  • Solve intriguing puzzles to uncover ancient secrets.
  • Watch out for deadly traps and monsters as you explore.
  • Discover and use exciting items, weapons and skills to advance on your journey.
  • A resurrection option which will revive your character but at the cost of some experience and gold.
  • As you level up you will gain points to customize your attributes.

This game feature no party (you are the main character) and therefore you can't rely on any allies.

Spiritual Stones:

These objects are scattered around the world of Hirion and are activated when the player are near it. If activated they will bring the player back from the dead and also let the player regenerate any lost health or mana.

Looks pretty good overall, the main character seems a bit chubby but who cares about that?

 

Like the idea about stat distribution by the way, hate the idea of leveling up though - I just hate grinding no matter how small the amount in general.

 

Puzzles... I love puzzles, they confuse the hell out of me and I end up sitting at the computer for hours trying to solve them.

 

Deadly traps... Sounds merciless - Nice!

Glad to see some variety in terms of game design ^_^

 

Although, the generator face character... it's a huge turn off for me X.x

Update!

Okay, I've decided to work on my HUD today and this is the result:

Basicially the second image would be the one you see at the most. I have implemented a new feature which fades out the HP, MP, EXP bar if they aren't updated after a few seconds, i.e when you are out of combat at not taking any damage it will fade out.

 

This will pretty much be the final HUD since I am really pleased with it at the moment. I've also added an animation to the gauges when they are changing which looks alot more awesome then before. I've also changed alot of the buttons to make it easier to attack, use items and skills etc. (if you didn't test my game before then disregard this but it was a bit hard to control the character).

Update!

My game progress is going a bit slow since my last update but I do have a small video showing off my newest title scene. I like the atmosphere to it and hopefully with a few tweaks here and there it will be the final version. I want a unique feeling to it and I think I've achieved that, I'll let you decided! Note that the quality is alot better then what the movie is showing. :)

Looking good so far! I'm rather interested in this game, though I agree with the others about the face sets, hopefully you can find someone who can get you a nice custom one.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I do plan to change character/face sets at some point but it is not really that important at the moment I guess. :)

This is looking pretty good so far Nicke, wish I could do these kinds of things myself - Oh well, can't be good at everything.

 

The music works with the title screen quite nicely, keep going in the current development direction and this game will be wonderful I think.

You could... you know... just facegen something less chubby. Maybe using some custom gen parts that you can find online. I've found some pretty good ones (even if a lot of them don't center on the face right).

 

Either way, I really love that title screen and can't wait to see more! :)

I actually didn't mind the faceset when I was playing it. Mainly because I was more focused on gameplay and actually getting through to the end.

WHY DOES THE HERO HAVE TO BE LESS CHUBBY?!?!?! I think the character looks fine as he is. Sure, a custom faceset would be nice, but still keep him looking how he is. :o

 

This game is looking pretty awesome. I've watched some of the other videos you had up on youtube for this, and it's all looking spiffin'. :D Good job!

Update!

I'm going share my latest screenshot in case you missed it! Featuring a neat little puzzle ingame, it might perhaps be easy to solve but I like doing puzzles so expect alot of different ones. :)

Hehe, well since I know a little bit of scripting it makes life easier when doing weird puzzles :P

It is simply a "light puzzle" where you step on the tile so they turn green. No overlapping is allowed meaning if you go back to a tile thats already green it change to red again. To solve it you need to find the right path. :)

Update!

Not sure if I will be keeping this in the final version but for now I have implemented a minimap script along with some customized graphics. What do you guys think?

The map system is freaking awesome! It looks really great, it's so much better than that blue and dark blue one >_<. I'm looking forward to more!
