yesterday i'm planning to try this game. but without i'm knowing. i spend 2++ hours playing this game.

so this game is good :D.

 

some suggestion:

i can kill the dragons at lv 5 (where the recommended lv is 11 - 15). i use paralyze to stunlock the dragon. then spam freeze and freeze strike. the dragon cannot move. i guess you need to nerf the status effect a little bit. (it's almost always success...). i can even kill the dragon boss when i'm still lv 6. (make the dragon blind). i can grind in the dragon because there also healing save crystal there. so i raise level and money quickly. :D.

 

also not enough 'corruption' scene yet LOL.

 

another thing is. you use yanfly message script. when pressing shift. the message fast forward. so sometimes i cannot read the text because i forgot releasing the shift button. because i'm dashing. you might want to search for script that toggle dash with a button push than pressing the button. so it won't conflict with the message system.

 

btw. not able to dash in house is quite annoying :D. at least make the house/building smaller.

also there's one house i can still dash. it's in the third city at house at upper building (sidequest which later tell me to northen valley).

I'm glad you were really getting into the game! That makes me really happy to hear you say that. I was debating on dropping the percentage that some status ailments succeed, since, yes, Paralyze is a bit broken at the moment. Maybe 50% would do the trick?

 

You can turn on/off automatic dash in the Options Menu. That way, you won't have to hold Shift when you want to dash and still read the dialogue.

 

Thanks for pointing out the areas where you can still dash. Inconsistencies are one of my main pet peeves, so thank you for pointing this out.

 

I'm glad you liked the demo and hope to continue playing it until the end! :D

UPDATE TIME!

 

Given my long absence from the forum, I've had a lot of time recently to dedicate myself to this project, and fix a couple of issues that the game has, primarily dealing with dashing in certain houses and indoor areas, re-working dungeons, and balancing skills. There's also been a significant update for those who have complained about accidentally skipping text while holding the Shift Key on the map. An additional hour and a half to about two hours of gameplay has now been added on, with a few new Side Quests and Dungeons available.

 

I can't stress this enough, but your feedback about anything related to the project is most appreciated. This is not a one-sided project where I put out a game and the community doesn't enjoy it, due to difficulty, bugs, or inconsistencies; through you all, I am able to get this project up and running, and because of you, give me the aptitude to go forward with it.

Things off the top of my head for the moment that are included in this update:

 

 

--The Skip Message Button is now assigned to "S" on the American Standard Keyboard. It is no longer bound to Shift.

--All "Edge" Techniques (Frost Edge, Water Edge, Flame Edge, etc.) have been nerf'd.

--Dirge now hits twice, instead of once, for 25% chance to Poison, rather than 50%.

--Waste all the time in the world with the Desert Digging mini-game. It's really fun. :D

As always, report any bugs or inconsistencies in this thread, and I'll get around to them in the next update.
