I love you!...er...ahum..I mean thanks...I've been wanting a script like this for one of my game concepts. Will definetely put it to good use.

Glad to hear.

My equip/wep dosen't lvl, neather with EXP or AP :S (sry for bad english)

Do you have the individual equipment script and is it placed above this one?

@Fomar :P thumbs up! This is nice :)

I suppose, this system can be used with equipment skills, so when equipment is leveling, new skills are gained?

Not yet, that will probably be an add-on in the future.

By the Way...What Unique Equipment script does...I don't understand it...

The Unique Equipment script makes every copy of weapons and armours unique meaning they can have individual elements such as a level.

As for a the patch you ask for, I am planning to make an add on which will allow my Equipment Skills script to work with this. If that's not what you're after then explain more thoroughly what you're after.

well is simple(Not so simple...xD)

Example:

-> Wind Dagger Lv.1: Learn skill = Wind cut

-> Wind Dagger Lv.7: Learn skill = Blade of wind

-> Wind Dagger Lv.10: Learn skill = Wing of Horus

-> Wind Dagger Lv.15: learn skill = Ultimate Tornado

And so...Learn skill based on level up of the weapon.

Lovely script thanks once again formar for your contribution of this wonderful script =)

Is it possible to make it to where once skills are learned and weapon is removed from equipment then skills that were learned from the weapon are erased... Basically making certain skills accessible only to set weapons and once weapon is unequipped then skills are forgotten

Ah ok, this will become available later as an add-on.

Again I'll be making an add-on for this and my equipment skills script.

1. It's Fomar with just one r

2. How about more detail? What other scripts are you using?

I want te create a condition using the level of a especific weapon. Ex:

if level of weapon X = 5 (X is de ID of weapon/armor)

switch 03 = on

else

Message: "You need to level your weapon!!!"

end

How do I make it?

Could you add an option that prevents reserve party member's equipment from leveling up?

Is there anything that can be done to this script to work with an ABS? I've been trying to get it working in with Khas' ABS (since I figured the script would just check for exp gain on the character, but I'm guessing it checks during the battle log instead?).

If it would work with an actor+exp event I could add them to the targets, but I just thought I'd ask to see if it was possible/likely.

Am desperately after some kind of upgradable/customisable weapons script but since I'm using an ABS it seems to keep getting in the way of everything! QQ

Error on line 173

it read

      p += equip.params[param_id] unless equip.is_nil?

error message reads

script 'Equipment Levels Up' line 173: NoMethodError occured.

undefined method 'params' for #<Game_CustItem:0xba9bcf20>

changed it to

      p  = equip.params[param_id] unless equip.is_nil?

thinking it might be as simple as a typo... it wasn't.

and still got a similar error message.

script 'Equipment Levels Up' line 173: NoMethodError occured.

undefined method 'params' for #<Game_CustItem:0xba2dedc>

So I put it back the way it origionally was.

Any idea how to fix this?

It prevents me from playing saved games, or starting a new game, instantly crashing the game out if I try to create a new game.

Hey would just like to say i love this idea of being able to level up equips it gives the game creator alot more creative freedom in their games :)

One thing i would like to see implemented is a kind of Equipment evolution of sorts, So lets say you have a Class specific weapon that is unique to the players chosen class and you level that weapon to say lv20 then it upgrades/evolves into a bigger/stronger weapon, not only the stats change but also the look of weapon... Would that at all be possible to implement into the script or would that cause more problems?

Thanks again Fomar0153
