About "Realistic" sprites (and graphics)

Recommended Posts

So, guys, what do you think about these "realistic" sprites? Are they too "inappropriate" for RPG Maker style? For me, they looks good, and it's actually easier to make them (for me).

You can see these sprites in my small training game (Warning: adult stuff):

I have removed your demo link as this isn't the appropriate section for it. A video or screenshots accompanying the resource you made might be more suited.

Rpgmaker is just the tool, I believe the developer makes the style. Though only 3 frames for walking isn't very realistic, it could still work.

yeah i agree with galv. if your using realistic sprite (3d Model) you should use more than 3 frames for that or else it will look funny in your game

she will walk just like a robot thats the first thing your players would notice. Im a 3d artist myself but i chose not to use my 3d models in rmvx ace. if you want to use those models and want a realistic looking game you can use that in unity 3d or other softwares but its all up to you coz your the developer and if you want critique for that model well is really really well done specially the proportion and the angle of the sprite.! i like it.  ^_^ just put some clothes so she wont catch a cold hahaha!

RPG maker can be expanded beyond the three frame motion using a script. XP scripts for example do 4 frame animations.

The character is fine and might mix well with the medieval fantasy pack. But typically you'll want to plug in other 3D rendered graphics as well unless you're going for a particular style.

yeah ive seen a script like that you can use it and add more frames to your sprite and it will look awesome but thats a lot of work for sure.

i saw the high fantasy pack also and its wonderful but i like to use the rtp more idk why i just feel like using it. maybe because i don want to buy that pack hahah

hope to see it walk smoothly! maybe for a walk 6-12 or more is the good frames. i never tried it myself so good luck to your game. hope to see more of your works.

oh, thanks about more-than-3-frames scripts. I will definitely try it. It's not that hard work for me, it actually very interesting.:)

Did you know why you get sick in the cold, more often than in warmth?! It has to do with your autoimmune systems decreased effectiveness caused by lower body temperature!
