Try at a battleback!

For the game I am making atm I am using Fomar0153's script for a sideview battle system, and none of the RTP battlebacks really work. The battlers show up too high on the screen for it to look good. There may be a way to remedy this without having to make a new battleback but I suck at scripting and I'm decent at the art thing so I took a try at making a custom battleback.

 

This is my first attempt at making one.

 

 

 

If anyone can tell the enemies are at the bottom by the menu, and they are glitching... not sure how to fix this. I don't have animated battlers and I think the script is trying to animate the static battler.

Its great,but for some reason,it doesn't seem to match the sprite,I dont know it just looks off.

I think its because of the black border on the sprite. I recolored the hair and eyes but haven't gotten to the rest yet and I think it'll match better if it had a different color border.

I think the actor is a bit too upscreen for that background, but the background itself is very nice.  Plenty of space for battle without being bland and empty.  I also like how you left space at the bottom anticipating the command menu.

@Rabie: I agree that he is a little to upscreen. That's mainly the reason I tried to make a new back because otherwise he is in the sky. I also think it'll look better if I get the sprites recolored. I suck at this so this task will take me quite a while... :/ but here is an example of a recolor I started compared to the original.

Any advice for my recolor job? On one of Holders amazing sprites!

I'm sure most of us know that is one of Holder's sprites, but it'd be good that you throw in a mention :)
